Is joining an orginazation in order to obtain spaceflight quicker considered godmoding?
What about creating a nation that is a colony in space?
Please, any general info on spaceflight would be appreciated.
Since all you have to do to have a massive nation is wait, I've never really seen the point of all that "But you've only got 16 million people, how can you possibly have an aircraft carrier" bullshit. If it makes good roleplay, go for it. But to address your questions specifically:
1. Of course you can. Just look at ESA (the European Space Agency): Belgium (pop. 10 million) and the Netherlands (pop. 16 million) have an astronaut each, out of only 16 in the Corps.
2. Of course you can. Like I said, if it makes good roleplay, go for it. And if any of those married-to-Excel fascists come after you, tell them to take it up with me. The 'rules' regarding godmodding are there to make roleplay better, not restrict it.
Peace out, dude!

If you want to start out as a space coloney, so be it. However, prepare to be ignored by a lot of nations because you're future-tech.
Just so you know, I won't be one of 'em if that's what you decide to do with this nation.
*walks in, looks arround, then pulls out a yellow sticky note saying "TAG!" sticks it, and hauls @$$ outta there*
