Ultimatium to Ell

New Auckland

As the lease for the land which you call 'New Auckland' will expire in less than 24 (NS) hours, we have decided to renegotiate the terms for the lease:

1) Lease term shortened to one year.
2) 1,300,000,000 Dinars ($1 Billion USD) for this lease term.
3) All ships entering Iraqi waters will have to pick up a Iraqi Naval Authority crew of 10 to 16 for navigation.
4) A tarriff of 25% on all cargo.

Let us remind you, that if you do not accept these terms, you will have to leave by the time the contract is expires, in about twenty three hours from the date on this message. Structures must not be destroyed.

For anyone monitoring the area around New Auckland with satellites, they would pick up the following:

Over 75,000 men have been placed around 'New Auckland'. Hundreds of tanks appear to be positioned around the border. There has also been increased radio traffic between units and headquarters.

Prepared for violence are we?

Our forces are aligned along the border so that we may return the the area at the time that the lease expires should Ell not renew it.

The Allied States of Toadania:

Official Statement:

An attack on the Constitutional Monarchy of Ell would be an attack on the region of Dar al Islam and its sovereignty. The Allied States of Toadania would recognize any such incursion as an act of war.

Following international doctrine, Toadania would come to the aid of its longtime ally and friend, Ell.

Our own military movements are proceeding. According to every calculation, Toadania can hold its ground against you, and perhaps even take your territory.

Back down, or face not only our wrath, but Ell's as well.

OOC: uh, toadania, what are you talking about? No one is talking about war... Did you only read the second post to this thread or what?

Technically... If Ell is leasing this "New Auckland" then it is Al Anbar's right to take it back when the contract expires... Where is this contract anyway? Link?

EDIT: Goody! Gif images work!)

OOC: What's the big deal? There's nothing on it!
IC:

With legal issues clouding the waters, the remaining team of engineers take off from the rough airstrip for Western Asia. The following buildings are left behind:

*Partly built university
*Mosque
*Airstrip

We haven't made any offensive gestures, only defensive. Which your second post was more than enough to incite.

So, we'll just be waiting here.

OOC: There's a new entry in Saddam's blog about this, Ell. :)

Toadania, Ell is handing it over, Al Anbar only wanted it's Legal Land back... You seem to be overeacting, when Ell is turning the land over anyway.

OOC: Boy, not even going to offer me a counterproposal? :/

IC:

Iraqi forces continue to sit outside 'New Auckland' waiting the remaining 1 (NS) hour left.

The Ellan national anthem is being played as the Ellan flag on the mosque is pulled down.

OOC: Fine, whatever.

IC:

On the main road that heads into 'New Auckland', ten T-80UD tanks and ten BMP-3 AIFVs drive toward the Ell base.

The last Ellan delegate takes down the Ellan flag. He replaces it with an Iraqi flag and heads to the airstrip for the last time.
