Could someone give a general summarized reason for war?

i can give you _a_ reason for war... it's population-control. the world is too populous, and always has been (unless, of course, you believe in some biblical 'adam and eve' drivel). Also, it's a good way to keep rambunctious young men occupied so they don't cause trouble. think of the old scandinavian tradition of viking - when a young man hit the mid-teens, he was sent out a-viking to get him out of the village. also, since many were often killed, it is again population-control, with the added advantage that the survivors brought-back some useful loot. it's a good system, really.

Not sure really, but I am kind of against cause I like the Reich's whole "one god" perspective.

as i said, it is _a_ reason for war. other logical reasons include - boosting an economy, covering-up undesirable situations, genocide (ie, hatred, etc...), and differences of opinion which must, of course, be resolved in the most public and offensive manner possible (war).

then, there are always the illogical reasons - pure insanity, boredom, accidental ('oops... i guess i wasn't supposed to push THAT red button...'), and a few others of which i cannot think right now.

oh... is the similarity of our respective names to what she was referring? or it may be that i am simply confused. and, of course, i apologise in advance for any harm such similarity may cause - had i known that a nation called 'Pyrrhic' existed prior to my creation of 'Pyrrhus,' i most-likely would not have carried-through with such creation.

you-know, even though i do, to some degree, share your views on the matter, it is quite obnoxious and impolite to express such sentiments in so very crude of a manner. do you never engage in frivolous activities your-self? well, maybe it is unnecessary to even ask this question as you obviously have created a nation of your own. besides, at least those persons who choose to spend their time at nationstates are creating useful social contacts, rather than frittering-away their time with such diversions as video-games. really, it's usually a good-idea to think things through PRIOR to making an ass of your-self. think about it.

I am in full support of Resi Corp for many reasons. One, we share the same general system of government. Two, he is our Media PR-man for the Imperialists like me. Three, he makes kickass weapons. Four, I like someone who is up front about what they stand for, and giving others the metaphorical finger.

(PS....explain the Corp Islands anyways? They sound like an interesting place to join...if your recruiting. The Pacific is not controversial enough)

Actually, another delegate war is brewing in the Corporate Islands region, so now may be the perfect time to join if you want power. All you have to do is collect more endorsements than our delelgate (who only has 5), and you'll get power over the region.

Oh, and if someone out there sees this and is thinking of invading, tough luck. I'm the founder, so we're invasion-proof. Get it? :wink:

The Corporate Islands are a loose collection of Corporations and corporate-minded peoples that sit on seperate islands in one long island chain. Although the location of this island chain is uncertain (some place it in the South Pacific, others place it in the Carribean), the power of the alliance of nations is certain. Heh....excellent.. *says in Monty Burns voice* Actually...power is fleeting..influence is what matters. Im a nation that is based on a monarchy, selected from a family of nobles each year. EVERYONE does a year stint in the military, whereupon they can go either to the private sector in business, government, or the military. We support technology, progress, expansion, and the acquisition of wealth. Our people dont complain because a) were very well organized in education, defense, law and order, etc. b) there is no religion to latch onto, and c) were generally benevolent to our people when they support us.
