Television footage shows the celebration of the completion of the, until now, top-secret construction of a space-based drydock. The scene switches to Hans Müller, Der Führer of the Dominion of VX. This is a special event indeed, as rarely does the Führer himself hold a public media conference.

"People of the Dominion of VX and its ally, the Dominion of WeekendLazyness, as well as the world, I speak to you today of one of the greatest events in our two nations' histories: the construction of a drydock in space. Already, both the Government in both nations, as well as the famous Syntec Corporation, have been researching and producing the technology required for survival and travel in space for many years now. Today, with the completion of our first product, we unviel it to you, so that you may see what our great nations can do with the proper spirit and will. Today, we enter space!"

The masses cheer in an uproar. The Führer waits a moment, does a slight bow, and then leaves the podium, his two well-hidden Shadow bodyguards following him. He leaves the building through a discreet exit and enters his limousine, which is escorted by two Cobra tanks. As the vehicles begin to move away, he opens the sunroof and stands, waving to the crowds. VX-A2 missile tanks far in the background begin launching fireworks into the sky. The people cheer as he, their beloved leader, passes by. After they leave the general area, he sits back down and faces his top aid and advisor, Sam Harringer.

"Hopefully the other space nations will take this well."

"I'm sure they will, sir. Most of them are very respectable."

Hans nods.

The press conference with President Jim Corex discussing this new drydock has just ended. The citizens of the Dominion are in states of mixed emotions. Some are in awe, some "knew it all along," others don't care. Nevertheless, the Dominion admits that it has been working on the project for many years, and that it hopes to become a powerful space nation in the future.

Meanwhile, the President has gone to a secret meeting place to discuss the first ship to be built. Many designs have surfaced, but some of the leading concepts are below.

One of the more favored concepts due to it's smaller size and weapons array:

A much larger design, four at a time can be built in the drydocks.
