On the small site of land leased from Al-Anbar, Ellan officials announce the creation of Ell's first overseas city ; New Auckland.
Ellan engineers have already built a rough landing strip that will soon become a small airport. Other facilities in the works are:

*New Auckland Desalination Plant
*New Auckland International University
*New Auckland Oil refinery
*Ports of New Auckland
*Hanging Gardens of New Auckland
*Five-Bedroom apartment blocks
*New Auckland-Syria Oil Pipeline
*Mediterranean Marina

20,000 new jobs will be created, and filled mostly with local Syrians, although failing that Ellan citizens will be flown over to assist construction. This is expected to cost in excess of $450m.

OOC: Errm, there aren't many people living in the area you have built, Ell. Most people live in the cities along the coast. And secondly, there is no oil there...

And, Al Anbar isn't letting anyone in or out of the area. :)

Oh, and BTW, as the map shows, that area is pretty rocky.
