"Greetings nations of the world, I Jade Purrlinda, wish to make an announcement on the behalf of my government to you and your citizens.

Recently a small wave of Minotaurian refugees in leaky boats landed on several islands in our territorial waters. After investigating this bizare invasion it turned out that they were fleeing slavers and were in fact seeking a safe haven from said slavers.

Since slavery is illegal in Slagkattunger it was decided by my government to grant these refugees permission to imigrate to our nation. Upon hearing that they would be allowed to stay the refugees indicated they would like to claim citizenship. They are currently serving a five year grace period, which if they pass will result in them being granted citizenship in Slagkattunger.

So far they have proven to be loyal and useful members of Slagkattunger socity(sp?) and are on track to receive citizenship. As a result of this the Government of Slagkattunger wishes to announce that we will now accept further Minotaurian imigrants, especially those fleeing slavery or harassment in human dominated nations. Successful applicants who pass the five year grace period will become full citizen of Slagkattunger and all that it intales.

Futher more we wish to announce that any vessels caught transporting slaves within our territory will be siezed, the slaves freed and the vessel impounded. Further more the crew will be prosecuted for engaging in the slave trade and will serve time doing hard labour before being sent back to their home nation.

I, J. Ovah, applaud Slagkattunger for their noble actions. Slavery is an horrible conecpt and I am pleased to see that these poor beings have managed to find sanctuary among the Slagkattunger's. May their integration into this society, which undoubtebly is very foreign, go with ease and haste.

Also. like Slagkattunger I too am willing to receive Minotaur's and provide them with a safe place amongst our communties.

Unless you ignore him (if thats what you mean), Belems the country to the east and north of me. I'm landlocked but have leased naval bases and some outlying islands, Belem and I have a combined fleet though that system is rarely used now

We know they are peaceful, assuming they can be thought to be productive, they are welcome in DT and will recieve the usual benefits for refugees (who are generally one way or another useful to the economy) until they are ready to live on their own. We can always have our coastal defence fleet pick em up anyways.

ooc:- I'm not Ignoring anyone at the moment, My nation has had very little or no interation with Belem hence they know nothing about that nation. Also just to clarify the situation my nation is willingly recieving refugee Minotaurians, indeed they are activly trying to help them reach Slagkattunger from other nations.

OOC: He's currently secretly supporting a Catholic movement to take over my nation.

Belem only supports expermintation on people who have convicted High Crimes against the Empire and would be executed anyway(OOC:atleast publically that what we say) so unless a minotaur has commited a crime against the Empire there will be no experimentation.

Minotaurs will be afforded the same rights as any other Demi Humans. They have no rights. They can not be citizens or civilians of the Empire but if they so wish they could live in a cities Foreign Quarter. Of course such a creature wouldn't be welcomed or liked by the Belem population due to there distinctiveness the reaction would probably be better then that of the reaction against elves which is nearly always a lynch mob.


(OOC: now officially if the government could get their hands on some Minotaurs they would begin experimenting immediately in order to discern a weakness and create a bio toxin to combat them in case of a war. If a minotaur nation was considered a significant threat the government would set up an propaganda campaign directly against minotaurs(instead of just against demi humans) like what it has against elves and AI. Where they will then be considered enemies of the state and the reason for all of Belems Ills.)

Most of the Demi Humans within our nation are tourists and will leave eventually anyway. Any who try to live in Belem are constantly encouraged to leave basically due to lack of employment. But we will advise whatever element is left they can move to your nation.

Ardor and I will treat them fairly well, but Belem- I thought youd enslave them.

Not really worth enslaving them. Now if they declared war on Belem then they would be enslaved.
