The Empire of Xanthal has once again initiated a program of social change, strengthening it's labor laws, namely the laws that require able citizens between the ages of twenty (the end of their education) and eighty (the official retirement age) to work. The move comes after a trend of economic decline over the past two years blamed on the loss of workers through loopholes in the previous laws. Work requirement laws are essential to the socialist economy of Xanthal, ensuring that it's population is earning it's pay in a system that would otherwise pay them regardless of their contributions to society. The new laws, which are going into effect next week, are expected to put over ten million Xanthalians back to work and nudge the Xanthalian economy back into it's historic trend of increase.
