I THINK I MIGHT BE GODMODING!!! HELP!!!

OOC: Okay, I got your attention. My nation, The TRSN, has a problem Their drives rely on Dimensional Gates to line up. They can only move if the Gates align properly, which will be about once per two pages of RPing for the same jump, with discretion for small hops. Now, they cannot Jump unless the Gates are in perfect alignment. They do have a way to get around this, which is to hurl one or two special soldiers forward to place a beacon and "Lock" the Gates open for the fleet. However, this does allow what some call teleporting. I don't want to get reamed for godmoding, but this tech is story critical. Am I over the line?

(Note: I only use small units, like destroyers, and never more than two, as I am small. I don't say I'm tiny, but that the main fleet is back in their dimension, and the Gates aren't in alignment, therefore, they can't show up.)

At least you have some sort of lag time inbetween jumps. That's fine by me, because it's exploitable. Is there any potential for misjump or whatnot?

Really, it's not about tech so much as game balance. You don't drop in automatically behind people, so it should be fine.

Xanthal uses transdimensional gateways to transport its ships instantly from one point in the universe to another, and I've never been yelled at about it... I'd say go for it and deal with any objectors as they come forward.

Yes, there is misjump, particularly into live combat. Whole fleets (in NS past for the TRSN) have been superimposed and fragged. The Battlenet prevents this happening mostly, but there is still that small chance. It is worse when jumping blind into combat. With a beacon and Gate Lock, it's 99% safe, but that requires a beacon to be set (which is obvious and preventable).

Acually speaking I wouldnt consider that godmodding at all as its not a defininate or impossible to block kinda thing it also has some interesting story elements which I find kinda cool... but thats just me, for future tech stuff If seen alot worse
