Excalbia Launches New Stealth Carrier
New Boston (ENS) - The Excalbian Imperial Navy today launched INV Majestic, the Holy Empire's first aircraft carrier and the latest ship of the Navy's Mark V Project. Majestic boasts the same highly classified materials in its hull construction and the same Modular Integrated Electric Drive (MIED) that were used in the Exclabia-class command cruiser, the Joshua-class missile cruiser and the Wraith-class coastal patrol ship. Like the Excalbia-class, Majestic and her sister ships are built on a trimaran design. The carrier, with over 4.5 acres of flight deck carries a standard complement of 60 F/A-18 fighters and an assortment of support aircraft. It is capable of speeds of 40 knots and has a very low radar profile and a host of other stealth features. A second carrier, INV Glorious, will be launched later this week. Three more - Courageous, Invincible and Reliant - are nearing completion.
The photo below shows Majestic and two of its escorts - the command cruiser INV Landing and the patrol ship INV Invisible - heading south from New Boston.
