A final goodbye from Sniper Country

Friends of NationStates,

This is Jason Morgan, the actual owner of the Holy Republic of Sniper Country. I am fairly sure you have all heard of the SPAM attack that went down last night, in the wee hours of the morning here. I can assure you that no one has taken control of my password, and that the person who made that attack was actually me.

I have had many good times on NationStates. I can remember several great events in which I have taken place. In all the months I have been playing on this game, would you believe Sniper Country has never been in a true war? Haha, yes, it's true! I would like to thank several people for their great times on this game, all of which are In-Character, and listed below.

Automagfreek
Omz222
Nankin
Western Asia
Gradenk
Bonstock
Klonor
[If you are not listed and I meant to put you on the list, please forgive me.]

There are also some people whom I have had great times with in the General Forum, whether it be by debating the Evolution/Creation argument, or by hanging out in The Loft. They are listed below as well.

Alhana Catherine
Nyborg
Paratoga
[If you are not listed and I meant to put you on the list, please forgive me.]

Now, for a moment, I would like to think of the Sniper Country Legacy, if it goes on. Actually, let this only be based on Military. I hope that the Legacy of the 22nd SOF-D Regiment continues. I hope that people will often recognize the names David Lewis, David Howe, and Mark Spitz. I hope people will always remember the slaughter of eight-hundred-fifty million people in the blast from Nankin. I hope nations will remember AO-101, ATS-335, and the IMF Headquarters. I also hope people will recognize the Senate, be it ever spoken of. I hope as an off topic, people will remember the 1st Annual NationStates Olympics, and remember Bart Abraham- may his records be broken time and times again. I hope people will remember the IMF, and all of its missions into enemy territory. None of this would be possible, however, were it not for the people who make this game great.

For those of you who wonder, I am in a perfect state of mental health. Yes, my grandmother passed away almost a month ago, but I am fine. I am doing quite well, in fact, aside from this addiction to this game.

Of course, you cannot see me go without me making a gesture about my God. I feel that I have stood my ground for God while on NationStates. If I have not done so, I pray He will forgive me for not doing so. Let it be known that I intend to pray for every single person on NationStates. I hope that the Christians of NationStates hold fast in their integrity, and know that our God is with us. Know that a greater prize lies beyond, one which we cannot fathom while on earth. I pray that each and every Christian on the game of NationStates holds to their unwaivering faiths, and continues their journey to live solely for Christ Jesus, out Lord. To the atheists, agnostics, satanists, and any other type people I have left out, know that I have never thought lesser of you for your beliefs. I respect your beliefs, as, in this great nation of America, we are free to practice. I feel that if I have reached one person, just one person on this game, I have done my job. If I have not, I can only say that I tried.

Again, I thank everyone for the great times I have had on this great game, NationStates. Even though I have never met any of you in person, I feel as if I have already. I may not be around the forums or be able to telegram anyone anymore, but please know that wherever it is I go, you will always be in my mind. I will think of many of you always- wonder where you are, what you are doing, how large your nation is, and what you are doing in your life, that is, if you have a real one [just kidding, fellas].

As my last act as owner of Sniper Country, I give all of my available equipment to the nations of:

Automagfreek
Western Asia
Gradenk

Every technological advance, evey piece of machinery, every personal weapon we own will go to these two nations. Even the rights and such to the M4B1 [AR], M4B2 [AR], S11 [SR], and M6 [TANK] will go to these nations- may they use them wisely. [http://www.freewebs.com/sniper_country/snipercountrymilitary.htm]

Let is also be known that I have put in a formal request for Sniper Country to be deleted. Whether this request will be fulfilled or not, I do not know. Please, people, do not nag the Moderators to not delete me. I requested it, and want this from the bottom of my heart. One final note on the Moderators: Do not nag them for what decisions they make; they are the sole reason many of us have lasted this long on the game. They do a fine job.

And now, it is time for my final good-bye. Not to the International Community of NationStates, but to the individual people behind the nations. For it is you, people, who have made your nations great, and have made this game what it is today- almost a year after its start. Good-bye, fellow people, for better or for worse, forever.

Sincerely,

Jason Morgan

Sad to see one of the older, non-n00b nations leaving. See you around, Jason. Good luck.

*breaks out the booze and whores* Gotta have a going away party...

But, in all seriousness I'm sad to see you go. We'll miss you, but you won't be forgotten. SC always impressed me with the Role, and I can attribute at least part of my staying here at NS to the example you set.

Rock and Roll, brother.

So long, Sniper Country. We didn't know each other very well IC or OOC, but I look back on the Nankin vs. Sniper Country panel as one of my best times on NS.

This has been an OOC post.

Goodbye Jason,
May God watch over you and speed you on your way to whatever tasks you find ahead of you.

It's been great to see you RP and to RP with you these many months, you've taught me a lot about RPing small unit tactics and about so much.

Thank you for the great times and God bless.

This is a terrible loss for the NationStates community.

I only took part in one extended RP with Sniper Country. It wasn't even a serious RP, just a thoroughly ridiculous storyline made for the sole purpose of having fun, but it turned out to be one of the best threads I ever posted in. That's the way Sniper Country was: His presence alone could make a decent RP good, and a good RP great. He didn't let OOC whining get in the way of a good story. He took his hits, and he hit right back. He wasn't perfect, but there's no one on these boards who couldn't learn a little from him.

Sniper Country, you will be missed, but you will not be forgotten.

Agreed. I've RPed with Sniper Country for a few times, and I can say that he is truly a RPer. Truly a RPer.

Oh no. Sniper Country...Jason...Why are you leaving ...

Gradenk had a good time with you and we certainly enjoyed RPing with you.

Gradenk will forever remember the great tactics that you've used in battles as we....unfortunately found out

Nevertheless, We became allies and indeed was an honor for us to be your ally. The Alliance that we forged would not be forgotten. We will continue with the alliance that you've proposed ( i.e Delta Triumverate ) with Western Asia .

In any event, if you decide to return to NS, Gradenk would welcome it.

We bid you all the best in your future dealings and endeavours.

GLad to meet you.

Good luck and all the best

(ooc: Im Bonstock...)
ic:
In Bonstock's capital of Port Yuko, a 21 gun salute was fired for Sniper Country. We will remember especially our recent diplomatic crisis, Operation "Wishful Thinking." We also will remember long ago, when we asked to deploy troops to help TechAnnihater fight a war so we could turn on him and control China. We said we'd send 8 million troops, as Sniper Country put it "Armed with pistols, wearing T-shirt and jeans." The troops never left home, but Bonstock immediatly started using 9mm Machine Pistols as our standard issue firearm, and it has been that way ever since. We thank SC for his contribution to this Bonstocknian trademark.

ooc: sad to see you go, SC. I had fun RPing with you. Good luck.
