i would like to know about what religion everyone thinks would be the best one to have as the national religion for my country?

Buddhism. It is the only religion (next to Christianity) that will lead you down the path of enlightenment.

Just allow Freedom of Religion, but encourage Christianity, when people are asked to do something, and not forced, they're usually more willing.

Let the people decide for themslves instead of dictating to them what thei religion is supposed to be.

i am trying to make Lewtik a country with not that many civil rights and i was hoping to make one religion for all my people

I cannot say what you want you nation's religon to be, otherwise it would not be your nation would it? Make your own mind up...I cannot really give my opinion upon this, I created my own religon.

What I did was create my own religion based upon Cristianity. Maybe you could create a seperate branch Ex. Presbyterian, catholic, lutheran. Just make your own up.

For one things, it is pronounce DOW-Ism, contrary to popular belief, for another thing,m they don't worship a solid God, if I recall, they worship The Way, in fact, the Chinese symbol for Taoism is a combination of the symbols for "Head" and "Foot" to symbolize The Way as a path.

Mine is not really called anything. It in essance looks after the earth, and the people are lent strength by the earth in return of looking after it. This involved magic etc. Velmora my actual nation follows these beliefs, as did Kain. Well...he still does in a way.

You could create a religion like I did. The Argonians worship a diety called Makaal, but other doctrines are preached, like Christianity, Taoism, Buddhisum, and Catholosium. There are even a few Jewish and Muslim Argonians.

Basicly, it is a slightly more challenging rp experiance go with creating a religon. The results can be quite reqarding if you get it right, all of my characters have/will be changed due to it, they ahve different morals, and I can rp better against other religons. Also, I know everything about them as I created them, so I can if needs be improvise something into it, instead of doing a whole laod of research should a religous topic come up etc.

Religion does offer good RP, but rebellion is not my forte. (Yes, the occasional fanatics/freedom fighters problem) That and I believe in the greatest conundrum:

"Why would a perfect God create a universe?"

I don't agree with any existing religion, or with atheism, but of the ones on your poll my favourite is buddhism. I like taoism as well though. Make a religion that uses the best bits of all existing religions (+ some of your own ideas if you like).

Read some of the RPs in International Incidents and you'll understand. "<Insert moralistic religion here> plots rebellion against the current government for the declaration of war against <insert nation here>"

OOC: I am confused. We said nothing about rebellion. But strong religous rps can involve them, like creating a new religon. Depends how far you wish to go, and how you want to do it. Currently I just incorperate it quietly to my characters beliefs.

I think you should not have an official religion.
Mormonism ;)That's the most common in Nianacio. We've actually had a religion somewhere between that and more typical Christianity for hundreds of years - ancient Nianacio was a seagoing culture. We made it to the Americas and picked up some bits of religion and knowledge from over there that we later found out fit in with the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

That is a good suggestion. Perhaps you may wish to bring it to the attention of your regional delegate and have it proposed as the ultimate religion of the world.

Use a religon you know a great deal about. Failing that, if religon plays a great aprt in your nation, research. Or do what I did, create a completely new one! But mine has magic and things so it was easier.

hey what about atheism stuff religion it is only peoples lives being dictated by sets of unfounded doctrines if you r a dictator then dont force religion on your people because really all it is is a another dictatorship to challenge yours and if u r not then why r u forcing ur people into somthing like this.

What about atheism? Stuff religion. It is only your peoples lives being dictated by a set of unfounded doctrines. If you are a dictator then it won't work for you because it will become a rival dictatorship within your own country but if you are a democracy your people should choose. ok are you happy now (honestly, sorry about the previous i was on a bit of a rant and didnt have time for punctuation or spelling)
