Tariffs and Quotas placed upon Alvarezistani Goods
As part of the our new Trade Policy a review has indicated that measures must be taken in order to limit the extensive, seemingly subsisdised, Alvarezistani industries which are selling their goods within the Empire at an uncompetitive level.
Your economics ministry seems to have done its research.. as the nation of Drum Gods is still under embargo. Your tariffs are all well and good, but as of the signing of the trade stoppage agreement of our own creation, it has been illegal to engage in trade with Drum Gods.
Then how does your ministry explain the numerous firms that currently exist within the Empire who claim to have had economic funding from their nation of origin ie Alvarezistan?
These firms are attempting to turn what is a market structure of perfectto monopolistic competition to one that is an oligopoly in most cases. We cannot advocate this.
Firms? We don't have any firms. All of our businesses are government owned, and we don't establish corporate holdings overseas. Have you perhaps forgotten we're communist, or has that managed to fly over your head somehow?

Our Imperial Competition Commission has spent well over a year investigating these foreign firms. They have handed over all the documents we have requested for. Certain forms regarding the formation of a firm and their bids for competitive space within the Empire have shown that the finances they received were from the Alvarezistani government. They paid in the currency of your nation. Their vice president is from your nation.
You cannot reject the facts.
OOC: I realize that this might be IC propaganda, but you do realize OOCly that Alvarezistan conducts no trade with Drum Gods. None. And it has no foreign firms operating on its soil, or any citizens in its country.
IC: Perhaps you could give us this supposed Vice President's name? Our travel records show no Alvar citizens in Drum Gods at the time this allegedly happened, and there are certainly none of our citizens here.
As for our being corrupt, ask any member of the CACE or Defunct Cold War Dictatorships (our region), whom we do most of our trade with. We keep a very tight lid on our national industries, and we do not allow privately owned firms or corporations. Anywhere. Ever.
