KRS-ONE treaty
The Vortex Corporation has sent formal invitations to the nations of Tarasovka and Knootoss to sign the recently drawn up KRS-ONE plans. KRS-ONE, which stands for Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone, is a set of documents that ensures an increase of co-operation in the field of information technology and intelligence gathering between signing nations.
KRS-ONE is intended to increase mutual efforts between intelligence services in allied countries when it comes to International Affairs that are relevant to many states at the same moment. KRS-ONE is currently being expanded with software and other technologies that will soon turn it into an integral approach to solving communications problems between several nations in times of international incidents.
In short, KRS-ONE is intended to provide quicker and more accurate exchange of relevant data between Tarasovka, Knootoss and The Vortex Corporation, which will hopefully increase mutual understanding and co-operation between the three states.
We therefore invite the other two nations to send a delegation to our capitol (Uthar) to sign the KRS-ONE treaty. It contains two clausules. The first states that our three states will co-operate and share intelligence when it concerns situations in which we are on the same side, and extensive and accurate information is needed. The second clausule states that signing states will start working on creating an integral KRS-ONE approach of software, procedures and communication in order to further increase information exchange.

Uthar airport
A sleek blue learjet landed elegantly on the runway of the Vortex international airport On its tail were the signs of Republican-KLM, the nationalised Knootiaanse Luchtvaart Maatschappij.
Prime minister Lousewies van der Laan stared out of the round window while she was chewing on a peppermint. “This so-called KRS-ONE treaty should prove to be beneficial. At least it improves our relations with these Sisgardian nations. Who knows we might even establish Europolis there permanently.
She got out a fuddled piece of paper which contained the programme in brief… “Visiting the remaining Dutch forces stationed there. Hmmmm… general Couzy. I haven’t seen him in years! In her mind she tried to picture the Knootian general, but she failed to remember him.
Her mind lingered away from the official programme: and she watched the airport in awe as the plane taxied to it’s destination….
Captain Christopher Soban was standing on the roof of one of the hangars at Uthar Airfield. Yesterday, his Black Wolf unit had been informed that they were to secure the airport for the Knootian arrival. Immediately afterwards, he and his team had received extensive briefing on the subject, especially concerning possible grudges that nations involved in the recent Shadow War could be holding.
Now, he was holding a pair of binoculars, through which he witnessed the KLM jet landing. Four of his teammates were positioned on the same roof, two of them armed with Longarm sniper rifles, two others with assault weapons. The other ten men and women under his command were spread out over the vicinity, creating a safe parameter around the runway.
Christopher watched Lousewies exit the plane, that had just taxied to the end of the runway. Calmly, he gave an order over the earpiece he carried.
"Allright people, pay attention. If anything happens, it will be in the next seconds."
Hearing two assault weapons being cocked back behind him, Christopher realized that though the probability of an attack was very low, this still did not mean it was impossible. But, fortunately, everything went well. A Corporate official walked up to Lousewies, and after some shaking hands and formal chatter, Christopher watched them both get into the limousine, which quickly accelerated and moved out, running very silent on its Zephrim hover drives.
"This is Lead. All units, gather at rally point. Our job here is done."
Christopher felt relieved that there had been no incidents. Now, he could just go home to his wife and have a normal dinner...

Lousewies sat in the limousine next to the corporate official as they drove through the city of Uthar. The talk did not really move beyond the superficial as the Knootian prime minister wasn’t really sure what to say. As always, the real talks would take place behind closed doors.
“Yes… indeed it does rain much more in Knootoss. I think it has to do with the seaclimate, though the lack of terrain elevation does tend to compensate.”, she replied absent-mindedly to the officials inquiries.
Occasionally she would look out the window to see what the city looked like. She had learned that a peoples architecture said a lot about it’s habits…

The Grand Duke prefered to take the maglev Train to Uthar, and admire, where possible, the landscapes of the territory controlled by the corporation.
The private train of the Grand Duke, consisting of around 4 couches, fit with diplomats, governement officials, security personel, cooks, waiters, etc, etc. set out from Vigvar and hurled towards Uthar.
Of course - several squads of the famous Alexander Guards were present, along with other "Nelathur" operatives.
The "Nelathur" is the network responsible of the personal security of the Grand Duke and of the Ducal family, and the 2000 men strong Alexander Guard is only the tip of the iceberg by the name of "Nelathur"...
Standart TDI outfit - an operative here, an agent there.
A squad of HAFT Black Wolves Operatives...
Standart administrative outfit - a diplomat here, an official there and a bureaucrat over at the restaurant...
Otherwise - if there were no bureaucrats, the cooks would lose most of their job and get bored...
In other words - it is an official delegation of one friendly country to an other friendly country.
The Train was hurling switfly through the Grand Duchy.
From Vigvar towards Srednegrad, then though the South Guardian Archipel to the Vortex controlled part of Cardinia.
It then took the turn south and rushed through the extensive archipel, diving in and out of the tunels, hurling through bridges...
The Grand Duke was sitting by a window, having a drink with the High Councilor of the Duchy for Foreign Affairs and a couple of other officials.
It wouldn't be long before they arrived to Uthar...
The convoy switfly moved through town. As the Knootian plane had landed during nightfall, it was now getting darker very fast. One by one, the larger buildings in the city were lit up by countless lights, and street lights illuminated the MagRails and highways through the city.
As the four medium hoverdynes and the limousine drove through town, traffic was only light. The occasional Magtrain passed them by on the rails parallel to the roads, but the amount of hoverdynes on the road was very low. Progressing to the heart of the city, Lousewies would probably note an area were the city lights were shining blue instead of the regular white and yellow illumination.
This was a sign of the fact that the convoy approached the Council Buildings. In the center of the city, a group of large sky scrapers stood, surrounded by a large park. At the edge of that park, the limo went through a gate and passed two pieces of Sagitta Artillery Hoverdynes, a part of the Council Defence force assigned to this sector.
Driving through the park, the four Lynx hoverdynes took a turn to the right, leaving the limousine to go on by itself. A few minutes later, it reached the High Council building, the middle tower of the skyscrapers, lit up with blue lights. Outside, a CEO and a high ranking military officer received Lousewies, escorting her into the building.
As the limo, now empty, turned around and started heading back to the park, three Rhinox Hoverdynes, stationed half a mile away from the entrance, opened their rear doors. Three teams of Black Wolfs boarded the vehicles, and then they took off.
Inside the building, Lousewies was guided into a comfortable room where drinks, music and comfortable couches had created a relaxed atmosphere. There she was awaited by the Knootian ambassador for the Vortex Corporation, who told her that they would wait until the Taraskovyan delegate would arrive.

How about adding boogie down productions to krs-one
Uthar CB Magrail station
As the GDT Magtrain proceeded through Corporate territory, it mostly went through hills and planes, where the grass was green and cattle was grazing peacefully. Indeed, this was one of the few "green" sectors that could still be found in the Utharian Peninsula. One exception came when they passed the Domed Gardens.
In the light of the evening, the large domes could be clearly seen, as the couches passed by only half a mile away from it. Inside, the passengers could clearly see the landscapes formed inside the Domes, though large groups of trees blocked much of the sight. Illuminated in the evening sky, the Domed Gardens were an impressive sight, and for a moment all conversation fell silent.
Less than an hour later, the skyline of Uthar came into sight. It could clearly be seen that the Corporate architects preferred light materials, such as marble and glass in there constructions, as the city of Uthar was place of light and transparancy, even in the dark of the night.
The train entered a wide tunnel just before coming into the city, which quickly led them to the station near the Council Buildings. Approaching that station, the train slowly started de-accelerating, until it came to a complete stop.
As the doors opened, the Grand Duke and the High Councilor received a warm welcome from Robert Stone, who had made time available to pick them up from the station. After they heared that Stone was now one of the most important Daiamid Council members, they both congratulated them, and the three men then started heading for the lavish hoverdynes that would take them to the Council Buildings.
Followed by a hovering vehicle containing a guard of eight Taraskovyan elites, they reached their transports and got in. As the hoverdynes accelerated, they were surrounded by an escort of four Lynx and two Volans Hoverdynes, to ensure their safety during the trip, even though it would take less than five minutes.
The Council Buildings
Just like the Knootians before them, the GDT delegates were received by high ranking personnel, and guided to the appropriate floor. There, they met up with Lousewies van der Laan, the Knootian delegate for this occasion. As Robert was shaking her hand, he said: "Gentlemen, may I introduce you to Lousewies van der Laan, the Knootian Prime minister. Miss Van der Laan, may I introduce you to Grand Duke Mikhail Shakhovskoy, and to High Councilor Alexei Nemirov."
As the three of them were making acquaintances (sp?), councelor Stone guided them into a medium-sized conference room with a dark wooden table and comfortable chairs. After the delegates had taken their seats, they noticed the KRS-ONE documents lying in front of them.
"Now, I believe you have all read the documents in advance and I know that you have let your employees make extensive analyses of KRS-ONE. So before we let the press in and sign them, is there anything you have to ask or comment?", Robert asked.

The Council Buildings
Lousewies sat down on her designated spot behind the table on which the treaty was to be signed. She smiled to Robert: “Yes, I for one would like to make this official. There are really no questions. I would just like to say that I hope this means a new start for our respective nations. The Democratic Republic has always enjoyed good dealings with the Vortex Corporation, even in times wherein relations could have been strained and we would like to reaffirm our mutual commitment and friendship.”
Her brow lowered and she frowned slightly as she addressed Mikhail, but she retained a polite smile: “While this is the first time that I meet you, Grand Duke, your reputation truly precedes you and I have always considered you to be a skilful negotiator.” ”That can be interpreted both ways though”, she added mentally.
>reply<
She glanced over the KRS-ONE documents and saw where she had to sign. “Well… I suppose we can let the press in if you are all ready.
"Of course we can. That is, assuming that neither the Grand Duke not the High Councilor have any objections?", Robert asked.

Sorry, sorry! :?

The Grand Duke smiled at the comment made by Lousewies.
- Truly honoured to meet you, Prime Minister...
And as of the negotiations...
I have done only very little in fact - just given my son the "go ahead". It was him who was the head negotiator for the Grand Duchy during the talks.
And rest assured, the Grand Duchy will always help you in times of needs, we have many skilled negotiators...
With that, grinning, he turned to the documents. He had already read them through, the High Council had read them through, the Council of the Duchy had read them through and everyone had approved...
So placing a signature was just a formality.
The Grand Duke placed his signature on the document.
- Now that the routine formalities are over, I offer we let the press know...
Whilst signing the documents himself, Robert nodded.
"Yes, we shall let them in soon. Just remember we have to sign a second and third copy of these, so that each of our respective governments possesses one. I suggest doing that in front of the press, for publicity reasons."

Lousewies nodded agreeingly and set the first authograph, stroking her pen over the luxurious paper on which the treaty was printed.
(OOC: VTX? You do the press?)
A secretary brought the two other copies in, and immediately left the chamber again. As he closed the door behind him, Robert pressed a small button and the large double door on the other side of the room opened. Immediately, press representatives from all three countries pushed forward, until they had reached the point where they were no longer allowed to advance any further.
Between the flashlights of photocameras and the quiet humming of holographic recorders, Rober, Lousewies, and Mikhail signed the two other documents, and than got up to shake hands and pose for the cameras. Each of them was very happy that the propaganda people of the Corporation had been answering questions to the reporters all day long, since it would save them a lot of time here.
For a few minutes, the smiling, hand shaking and complementing went on, and then the reporters were gently escorted out of the room by a handful of security agents. When the last journalist had left the room, Robert turned to his fellow statesmen (and -woman), and said:
"Thank you all. Well, another day, another media circus. If any of you wants to go into town, please say so and will arrange a guide. For those who want to go straight to their hotels, hoverdynes are already waiting."
[ooc: this is either the end of the rp, or we could all get them to town and party real hard. But that might undermine the official tone of this thread]
