Double Tenth Day (雙十節 ) is the national day of the Republic of China (now Taiwan) and celebrates the start of the Wuchang Uprising (October 10, 1911) which led to the collapse of the Qing dynasty.

The day starts off with a military and public parade through the streets of Taipei and in front of the Presidential Office Building. Later in the day, the Chen Shui Bian addresses the country and fireworks displays are held througout the major cities of the island.

I'm sure some of my cousins were marching in that group on the parade grounds. Was that at the Chiang Kei Shek {I know I mangled the name} National Park?

Your marches are weak compared to Sino's PRC National Day ones: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1685775&highlight=#1685775 (and that was Oct. 1st).

Sino celebrates Double Tenth with a public holiday.

As for our special forces showing off their stuff:

Are you Nationalist Taiwanese? I am a Nationalist Chinese (overseas) who believes that all Chinese-speaking peoples should be united.

IC (as General Liu): Yes, that's the premier foreign policy of the Armed Republic of Sino.

Chen Shui Bian addresses the nation.

Sinoese interpretation of the pictures:

1. Is Taipei all mountains ("The ROCA's 4th Infantry unit march through Taipei" no cityscape in sight)?

2. Idiots who could afford M-16s but forgot to buy/make/wear helmets (by far a safer option).

3. An S.O.B.s talking out off his ass!

By the way, Chen is known not to celebrate Double Tenth.

OOC: LOL! Damn, I'm a comedian.

Don't denounce Double Tenth. If it weren't for Sun's efforts to overthrow the Manchurian scum. We will still be chained to bondage. China for Chinese!

There's an old Syskeyian quote often said in jest in the military: "We could take Beijing if we wanted to!" (but we just don't want to! ;) )

Nevertheless, our ambassador to Taiwan remarked that she rather enjoyed the festivities.

OOC: Are those bayonets better than M9 Bayonets? Should I get new bayonets for my soldiers or keep my M9s?

God bless,
