Celebrations erupt in Edolia

Good evening and welcome to the EBC. Celebrations erupted all over Edolia today on the news that the United Nations had declared the Impërium Socialistum Edoliä an "Iron Fist Socialist" country. Said Minister for Equality Arnold von Schvartzheimer "It's about time. That organization has labelled us, a model of benevolent Communism a "Corrupt Dictatorship" for many years, despite the fact that our government has one of the lowest corruption rates in the world." Analysts expect that this new announcement will bring a major morale-boost to the workers of Edolia, helping the nation's economy which at this moment is going through some difficulties, due to a period of government reorganization. The beloved Imperätor, Erik von Blätterschplitt is expected to give a speech later tonight regarding the new status of Edolia. Now, back to you Mikhail...

Ten cases of sweet, Edolian wine from its wonderful 1976 vintage are sent to the Iuthian leadership to celebrate the friendship that has existed between our two states for so many years. We also invite the leadership to Edolia to tour some of our government housing facilities and hear some of our ideas on the running of a benevolent dictatorship. Our Emperor would also be honored if he could travel to Iuthia and hear some of your ideas.

No changes have been made. This is solely the final confirmation of our status. We had considered ourselves Socialists for a long time but it is only now that the UN has acknowledged us as an Iron Fist Socialist state.
We congradulate you on finally being recognised as a Socialist nation. We ouselves are a Socialist Democracy and feel that socialist economic policies are the best for our people. While we mantain a liberal political system, economic socialism has served us well, as we hope it does you. Once again congradulations on being acknowledged.

We are preparing guest rooms at the deGritz Mansion for your stay and at the same time increasing the security around our boarders to assure your Emperor has a safe visit.
We gladly except the 1976 vintage wine and we're adding it to our collection in the deGritz Mansion's wine cellar. In return we will be serving the much loved 1957 vintage wine of our own, 1957 being the year that Bolivar deGritz ended the "Dark Times" of Iuthia.
We are honored that your Emperor wishes to visit Iuthia in these turbulent times and we would be happy to discuss the secret of keeping your people happy while remaining in power, so far there have been no assisnation attempt on my life because to do so would send Iuthia into chaos.
