Automatic transmission from deep space research station Kolar-1:
Log- Dr. Gillimer- Project leader: Altmer Experiment.
"We have begun final stage ignitions for the Kryon chambers and the containment rods of the reactor vessel have been removed." 1200hrs.
"Heat Index levels within the reactor vessel are maintaining normal levels as the quagma converts to singularity. The reaction is fascinating... to think we are recreating the original conditions of the universe during the Big Band singularity here within this room." 1215hrs.
"Final checks completed. We will activate reactor in 5...4...3...2...( a huge explosion is heard on the recording). What just happened!... It.. it seems that the containment vessel has ruptured... cause unknown. sealing vessel. (Another huge explosion is heard along with a whooshing like air traveling at high speed past a microphone.) OH MY GOD... hull breach... seal containment vessel... activate structural shields...(a moaning is heard, like metal being warped and twisted then a terrible rending noise... and silence)" 1233hrs.
Transmission ends.
OOC: If you want to participate just, please avoid sending a large fleet. I hate trying to work with large groups of ships. You can still send large capital vessels but try to limit your fleets to a maximum of five vessels that are any larger than destroyers.

Upon recieving the transmission from the station the Dominion of Falasmayon dispatches a small group of ships to investigate and search for salvageable materials or technology.
Our recovery ship then spots a dweller in an LV- 423 Acheron outpost belonging to Falasmayon.

((OOC: I would assume outskirts of Proxima Centruari))
IC: The Takian Carrier Arrigoto silently recived the recording.
"sir, our ally Falasymayon appears to be in distress"
"what?" the captian, a young officer with a gaunt but noble face turned as he heard the coms officer speak. "well don't just sit there, order a course set to intercept and provide assistance"
The massive ship folded, popping into existance within hailing distance of the satalite
"Falasymayon vessel, this is the Takian naval vessel Arrigoto do you need assistance? repeat, this is the Arrigoto do you require assistance?"

OOC: The station is in relatively deep space. It is in an unnamed Nebula that is in the same general area of space as Proxima Centauri, but it's not really near anything.
Kiosk: OOC: I'm a little unsure as to how to respond. I dont really understand what you said... sorry. :?
Taka/General response: The scene that greets the vessel as it enters the area, is horrific. The station is in ruins. The station (which was once shaped roughly like two mushrooms connected stem to stem) is nearly completely destroyed. The lower hemisphere of the station is almost completely destroyed, leaving only a small amount of the structural supports intacts. The upper hemisphere is in better condition, but has a massive breach in the shell of the station. In numerous other places, burn marks and remnants of explosions are visible.
There are mutilated and twisted bodies visible amongst the wreckage. All hails go unanswered.

The Dominion of Falasmayon vessels leave exit Susy-space in a streak of blue-shift light. The Battlecarrier Argonaught and two Assault Frigates take up positions opposite the Takian and Kiosk vessels.
Transmission- "To the naval vessels of the States of Taka and Kiosk. Greeting from the Dominion. I am Admiral Dogo of the Argonaught. We are here on common purpose. to discover the fate of the research station Kolar-1. May we work together to achieve our ends."

"Dominion ships, we have three gunships converted to act as hospitalships, and are loading them with entrance teams. we ask permision to enter the station to look for survivors, repeat, we are asking permision to enter the station and to look for survivors."
the captian turned towards his second officer,
"prepare to launch the ships, but have a squadron of figher/interceptors on standby just in case. . . I don't want any surprises today."

"[i]Arrigato[i/] we are happy to accept your assistance. We will be sending a boarding team to the station as well. If you would be willing to enter from the breach at the remains of the lower hemisphere, we will enter from the hull breach in the upper hemisphere and work towards the middle. Any survivors can be evacuated to the converted hospital ships, but our sensors are currently reading near total depressurization and atmosphere loss, It appears t,hat except for a few pockets of the station in which the emergency isolation systems held, It is unlikely that we will find any survivors. Dogo out."
Turning to his second in command the Admiral seems old beyond his years as he says. "Torrington, we also need to begin identification and recovery of the remains of the station crew from space.

Aboard the OSS Sirius, a carrier in the Ortagan Solar Navy, Commodore Laffet hears the transmission from the Falasmayon station. His force of a carrier, three heavy cruisers, six strike cruisers, and eight corvettes were returning from a policing mission in the New Edo protectorate system.
"Set in a course toward the distress call, and contact the Takan vessels in this area."
"Yes, sir."
"Send in a squadron of interceptors to scout out the stations," he says to the flight control officer.
"Beta Squadron is going in."
"Detach three corvettes as well. And send a communique to the Valinon Outer System Rim Patrol Force."
"Shouldn't they have already been here?"
"They are still trying to re-assets their assets in the Rim. There is a chance they would not have recognized this event."
"Sending transmission."
"Take us in."

OOC: sorry i keep screwing up on italicizing ship names.
A few minutes later a gunship powers out of bay 2 of the Argonaught.
The ship moves carefully towards the still mostly intact upper level of the station. and positions itself next to the 3 deck wide hole in the shell of the station in preparation to release a boarding team
Back aboard carrier the communications and science staff of the vessel have begun deciphering sensor and comms data from the wreck in an effort to try to comprehend what happened. The admiral wondered as well, particularly about the mention of an experimental reactor and quagma experiments. This station was supposed to be collecting data on the nebula, mot playing around with the primal forces of the universe...
"Ortagan vessel, this is the Takian ship Arrigoto. . . it seems that there was an explosion aboard this station, we are sending information on what we have in the area, keep an eye out while you are out there though, escape pods, unruptured space suits, anything that could provide us with a survivor, and with clues. . ."
A gunship shot out of the hanger, its crew in armored space suits and outfitted with small arms. . . this was supposed to be a peaceful opperation, but nothing stays peaceful for long. . . the medics on the ship prepared thier kits, grimly aware that they were most likely going to be cleaning up, not patching up today. The ship flew through the debri field, its HPD shields popping up to defelct peice of steal that the pilots skill could not avoid. It made its way in, clamping onto a more or less unscathed peice of the station, like a mosquito landing on a bull elephant. Final pressure locks were engaged, and the gunship powered down, its atmospher flooding back into the tanks, allowing the hatch to open without the airlock. Five men in armored suits, as well as a pair of the new heavy mecha climbed the length, pulling thier way past the twisted, toothed maw of the damaged part of the ship.
((OOC: alright, so the ship is depressurized, is the Artificial gravity on, lights, power, how bad is it in there?))
Rear Admiral Horatio had been returning to Prometheus Centauri with his battlecruiser squadron, when a holo-comm signal came in, direct from Draco orbiting Prometheus.
"Yes, Captain what is it?" Horatio says to the on duty officer of the Draco OSRPF command center.
"Sir, we have a transmission from the Ortagan Solar Navy group in bound from New Edo, a Falasmayon station was attacked. Takan and Ortagan forces are moving to investigate."
"Thank you, I will send the Isis back with three-fourths of the fleet. I will take the Caesar and a small force to join the investigation."
"Yes, Rear Admiral."
"Good, I will return to Draco shortly," Horation deactivates the holographic projector and turn to the officer standing at his right. Commodore Otto von Hielien stands nearby, a set of plas-sueters holding together an abrasion on his forehead.
"Commodore, I want the Tiger Claw and her group to accompany me. And I want you aboard the Claw to command."
"Yes, Rear Admiral. But what of the Knight and the remnants of the Minotaur's task force?"
"They will return to homeworld and seek repairs."
"Thank you, sir."
"Now, take your command, Commodore."
"Yes, sir."
Horatio watches as the still seething von Hielien turns to leave the bridge. He can detect the anger broiling under that cool exterior. He knows of von Hielien's past, how he fought his way to command the battleship Andromeda and her group, and then had it cruelly shot out from under him.
"Godspeed, Commodore," he mutters.
"Helm, once the Commodore's shuttle departs, set a course for the Falasmayon station. Send a transmission to both the Solar Navy and the Takan ships that we are coming in."
"Yes, Rear Admiral."

From what information we have gotten, it appears you handed yourself well. I pray the worse of Taka does not tarnish the best. . . here is a data dump of what we know, the course oh, niner, six alpha tango three is open and clear of debris, if you wish to follow it through."
The Arrigoto has a comm channel from the Tiger Claw opened in response.
"This is Commodore von Hielien of the Tiger Claw," says a battle fatigued voice. "Thank you for you welcome, Captain. The Star Armada will not hold the actions of your wayward breathern against you and your men. Thank you for the data, our AI is processing it now. We will make the necessary course corrections and rendezvous with you and the Ortagan vessels soon enough," von Hielien closes the channel.
"Redistribute this information to Rear Admiral Horatio and the rest of the fleet."
"Yes, Commodore."
"Helm, make the necessary course corrections. I am feeding you the bearings."
"Aye, sir."

Aboard the Argonaught-
Comms: "Admiral, we have completed sensor scans of the station"
Dogo: "Report"
Comms: " Power is still on in most of the station, but lighting is patchy at best. The gravity fields are holding, once again no guarantee son a time frame for those. The station is almost totally depressurized except for what appear to be to security zones namely, the upper level labs and a small command bunker. the labs are near the top of the upper hemisphere, the bunker is in the connecting stem not far from the Takan rescue force."
Dogo: "Good now we have a starting place. Tell everytthing you just told me to the Takan commander and recommend he investigate the bunker. We will see to the labs. Have them be on their guard. This station was performing unauthorized experimentation with dangerous substances. Right now it's anyones guess exactly what happened or what they were doing. We need a tech team to get in and retrieve the main memory core."
The Falasmayon teams began moving on their new orders. Two squads of Marine guards boarded the station along with 4 boarding Mechs, 14 men in all. The Marines began movig up the three decks to the lab.
The station was in ruins. fire had singed the walls, cables and pipes hung about and floor plates had buckled under the explosions. The marines located a mostly intact computer terminal and called for a tech specialist to retrieve data. They moved upward towards the Labs...
Rear Admiral Horatio watches as the ships of Taka, Valinon, Falasmayon, and New Ortaga fomr up around the devestated station. He turns to the ships Sardaukar commanding officer standing nearby.
"Prepare a detachment of your best men. I want 8 squads of heavy assault armoured Sardaukar readied and deployed from the Caesar at once. Meanwhile, contact Commodore von Hielien and tell him to scramble an additional 4 squads along with any technicians and science personnel he can drum up from his Magellan-class science vessel."
"Yes, Rear Admiral."
"And have your men take a scomp-link for Julius so he can access the Falasmayon system. We need to find out what happened here, the Alpha Centauri system cannot continue to be prone to these raids."

1st Officer Torrington: "Admiral, we are recieving preliminary data from the station. as of now we only have ships logs and internal sensors. Perhaps we can access internal sensors with the help of the Valinon technicians."
Admiral Dogo: "Excellent. Arrange for a tech team to be sent over to the Valinon vessels in order to figure out the rest of the sensor data. In the mean time what do we have already?"
Torrington: "Sir, it seems that Dr. Gillimer had decided that he was to good for researching Nebulae and had decided to experiment on the Quagma fragments found in this Nebula. Quagma fragments are leftover particles from the creation of the universe. It appears Gillimer was attempting to develop a new kind of sublight engine based on the Grand Unification Theory (GUT). He had built a reactor and at the time of the accident the reactor was about to be brought online for its first run. According to internal sensors, conditions were normal up until the first explosion. It seems that the GUT reactor did not go into critical mentdown until after the explosion."
Admiral Dogo: "So some thing else caused the original explosion. By Deus! Relay this information to the fleet and our allies. We dont want to keep them in the dark." And somebody ge..."
Comms: "Admiral, the boarding team has reached the main doors to the labs. They await your order to enter."
Admiral Dogo: "Boarding team this is Dogo. Enter when ready. Be on your guard."
((OOC: I have returned))
The Takian heavy Mecha charged its built in plasma cannon, setting it to cutting as it began the ardous proccess of burning through the hatch into the bunker. The armored entrance team started the ardous prossess of pulling through what logs they could in the ruined station, cutting with thier lazers thorugh what physical barriers were left intact. One of them pulled the leader away, holding up a series of data.
"what the hell is that?"
"sir, it looks like. . . A quantum singularity, or at least a Proto-wormhole"
"what the hell? playing with a bit more than gravity it looks like. keep your eyes peeled gentlemen, if they created a singularity they just might have opened a rift akin to the Eldrich fiasco."
"Commodore!" von Hielien turns on his heel to face the comm officer.
"Yes?"
"Sir, the Falasmayon admiral Dogo wishes to have a joint operation with our own technicians."
"Very well. Inform Admiral Dogo that he can send a shuttle to the Tiger Claw and his men can use one of our assault transports and board with the technicians and the Sardaukar squads."
"Yes, Commodore."
von Hielien turns to the flight officer, "Have Captain Kyline hold his deployment until the Falasmayon transport rendezvous with us."
"Yes, Commodore."
"And, Helm, bring speed to all ahead 1/3. I do not want to go to far into the debris fields."
"Yes, sir. All ahead 1/3 slowing now."
"Excellent."

The OSS Sirius slows in space, distanced from the devestated Falasmayon station.
"Commodore, the Takans, Valinon, and Falasmayons have all dispatched boarding parties to the station."
"Ready a group of our Atlas Wing marines and prep them to be sent to the station."
The young officer salutes, Laffet turns back to his tactical displays. Three corvettes and two squadrons of interceptors are patrolling the immediate vicinity around the wreckage, but the main portion of the Solar Navy long-range carrier force remains 25,000 kilometers away from the station.
Laffet looks at the nearby Valinon forces, and the closer Takan battle group. He had seen the reports from the battle between the Takan raiders and the Valinon Star Armada, and was loathe to engage the Takans with out substantial reinforcements.
"Contact Vice Admiral Timouthy, I want to submit a full report of this situation."

OOC: sorry... i was in DC all week and just got back. here we go.
IC: Inside the bunker, it was pitch dark. Karen couldn't even see her surroundings. She had been in the bunker for 13 hours waiting for a rescue and she had about had it. She had no idea of the situation on the rest of the station. Suddenly, a point of light shone through the darkness. The door, that was the direction of the door, people were cutting through! A breif light of hope shimmered in her mind and was replaced by growing horror as she heard the sound of hissing grow as a line was cut in the door... Air! Outside the door the corridor must be in vacuum. Two words came to her mind... oh shit! Karen frantically looked around for anything and suddenly grabbed the emergency oxygen hood from the cabinet. She slipped the baggy body suit on just as she began to not be able to breath, and was met by a refreshing rush of oxygen. Well, now she wouldn't die immediately, at least. The suit however had only about 10 minutes of air,and no comms system. She hoped her rescuers knew this.
At the other end of the station. The marines readied for entry. The door codes were cracked and on a count of 5...4...3...2...1... the marines blew the door and faned out into the room. the labs were still spottily lit, and the scene that revealed itself was bizarre. The lab was a circular room with a walk way around the circle's edge with computer stations on the wall in places. The outer platform was seperated by a railing from the center platform, which was a sunken circle. more computer stations surrounded the center of the room which was supposed to be an isolation chamber walled in glass. The entire room was perhaps 200 feet in diameter.
In the center of the room the isolation chamber was destroyed glass was shattered all around the center of the chamber, which housed the most bizarre phenomenon the marines had viewed. a perfect globe of iridescent gold floated in the center of the room. It reflected the room around it in it's surface.
"Sir" said one of the marines, " portable readers cannot penetrate the sphere they static."
"Alright" sald the lieutenant, "Relay our findings to command and spreadout. See if we can find anytthing useful."
((OOC: Sphere much? ;)))
The Takian mecha finished its cutting, and quickly motioned its comrades into the room. Air had escaped, meaning there could still be survivors in here. They burst into the room, sweeping it with bio and heat scanners, praying they would not be too late, when they noticed a warm blob. Quickly they moved in its dirrection, a woman, the emergancy suit providing air, but not warmth to combat the icy cold of space.
"grab her" the commander bellowed through the coms system, "get her back to the ship and keep her warm. . . Valinon, Falysymon, we have a survivor, repeat, we have a survivor."
It had been a miracle that she was still alive, that she had survived whatever had torn apart the station, but she was, and they intended to keep her that way. A quick scan of the room reveiled nothing, and with the absence of any more life readings, they moved on, further into the belly of the beast.
Flight Officer Creighton, led pilot of one of the assault transports that just dropped of the Valinon and Falasmayon teams sent to the station. He hears the message from the Takan force.
He opens a channel on the same comm frequency, "This is the Valinon assault transport X-9995, attached to the Tiger Claw to Takan field commander. If you can get the survivor to our insertion point we can take her to the Eternity. The science vessel has some of the best med-labs in the Star Armada."
Creighton opens the squad comm of the Sardaukar, "Captain, I may be leaving soon to take a survivor to the Eternity if the Takans will allow it."
"Understood, Transport 1, do what is necessary. The Claw can send another assault transport if necessary."
"Roger that," Creighton reopens the channel to the Takan commander waiting a response.
******
In the quasi-entact portions of the wreckage from the station, Captain Junis of His Majesty's Sardaukar leads his men and their charges of Falasmayon and Valinon technicians.
"Captain, the command center should be up ahead," says one of the technicians. He is studying a holomap through the mirrored visor of his NBC armored combat suit.
Junis opens his channl to the lead elements of his team, "Lieutenant, move to secure the command center, we are linking you a map."
"Understood, sir."
Junis turns the corner and comes face to face with the body of a Falasmayon service man. His eyes are frozen from explosive decompression, and Junis has no doubt that a med scan would find his blood has flash-boiled and that his organs have been pulverized.
"Godspeed toward whatever horizons you believe in," Junis whispers to himself inside his helmet. Then he carefully pushes the body to one side of the corridor.
"understood, we are sending her to the Eternity via interceptor, prepare docking bays on Eternity, and scramble a medical team."
Private Durram took the woman carefully, these emergancy suits were not meant to handle long periods of exposure, how long had she been in it, how much air did she have left? he didn't konw, but didn't wait to find out, disengaging the electro-magnetic boots, he kicked his thrusters in, flying out the ruined station. With slight twists of his body he took up a course, the AI in his suit communicating with the navigational AI in the nearest interceptor. The dartlike form of the Crossbow vectored itself in, matching his speed till he and the woman clinging tightly to his suit caught hold. His AI activated the Crossbow's cargo bay, and he slipped in, glad for the warm air that quickly filled the hold. It was cramped, it was tight, but it meant that they would make it. His helmet thinned in the new atmosphere, the near liquid skin compressing as the matrix under it condenced. He reguarded the woman the best he could in the cramped quarters, thankful his suit had shrunk from combat thickness. Private Durram removed the helmet,
"so. . um, you alright?"
he asked rather lamely.

(OOC: yeah I know its Sphere but it was the best idea I could come up with... haha)
Karen, was swept up in the activity of the next few minutes. The door was cut away and a huge (from her point of view) mech entered. The next bit was a blur of motion and action she was swept up and away, jetted out into space and into a small cargo room on a ship. Only when the her rescuer took off his helmet did she truly realize she was probably not going to die after all.
Karen took off her helmet and laughed, the almost manial laughter of joy given up by those rescued from certain death. "Yes" she said, "I'm fine".
Back on the station the marines had found nothing but had ordered a Focused Directional Sensor Array to scan the sphere. It was now set up and with a nod from the commander brought online. A beam of neon green light lanced into the sphere. and the team waited...
Also back on the station the tech team had reached the command bunker and were busy accessing computer logs and sensor data from what was left of the station's main computer system... ( OOC:more to come on that)

On the station in the lower areas where the technicians of Falasmayon and Valinon work to recover the remains of the data on the station... A statement is heard on the comms. from the Marines in the Lab.
"Sir, we're still getting nothing we can boost power to maximum for a burst sweep."
"Do so."
"The technicians work on for a moment un fazd by the work above them... Suddenly, one of the Falasmayon techs. jumps up. shouting into his comm mike, "Belay that order marine do nothing!!!" Yet it was too late.
A cherry red burst of energy lanced into the sphere from the sensor device, and disappeared into its reflective depths. For a moment there was nothing, Then the Sphere began to change its color changed and became a mottled color swirl of iridescent primaries. Then it began to rotate... faster and faster.
The technician screamed into his mike, "Lieutenant get yor men out! Everyone else pull out immediately!! back to the ships!" The techs began backing out to the ships and launching towards their respective capital vessels. The marines stayed pending orders from above.
(OOC: More to come when I wake up!)
"what the hell?" The Takian leader said, "whats going on up there?"
a few short seconds of silence passed, "alrihgt, lets not wait around to find out, everyone to the dropship, NOW!!"
he thumbed his ignition, rocketing out of the entrance ways tehy had just cut, keeping the slowest pace the mechs could match.

On the bridge of the Argonaught
Dogo: "What just happened! Get me that technician! He had better have a damn good reason for overriding my orders!"
Tech: "Sir, I did. I was researching the sensor logs of the station and had been able to retrieve a portion of the data. Everything with their experiment had been going well until they fired a sensor burst into the Quagma containment field in the lab. That was when everything went to hell in a handbasket! The computers were wipeed out in a few moments but for the short time they were operational they registered crazy stuff... like physics breakdown. The marines MAY HAVE TRIGGERED SOMETHING SIMILAR!"
Dogo: " Lieutenant pull your men out immediately!"
On the station the marines begin evacuating the room, when suddenly the globe begins to accelerate. Its surface turns intoa wild array of colors swirling and incredible speeds... mesmerizing the marines. Green energy discharges begin arcing across the surface of the globe and into the room.
The marines wake out of their stupor and try to pull out... too late. Feelings of nausea and then pain rake the marines Their bodies twist into wildly inhuman forms as the same forces that created the universe begin tearing it apart. Before thew comms line cuts out... all that is heard is screaming.
the view from the assembled ships is calm at first. Then the upper hemisphere of the station begins to almost pixelate. The station is decomposed to a whirl of photons in a spinnig nebula around the now almost painfully bright globe.
Energy waves begin to pulse out in rythmic sequence from the sphere. They cresate slight distortions as they pass. registering on the ships as waves passing under a boat.
The wave passes over the Interceptor, sending it carrening wildly, the pilots skill the only thing keeping it from smashing into to bits of debris. The Eternity appears on the scanner, and the pilot radios to the marine, letting him know that the end is in sight.
The rest of the Marines and the Heavy mecha from the entrance unit board the gunship, triggering the AI to head to a safe distance. They stare in awe at the sphere, also mesmerized by its glow and play of colors.

26-10-2003, 03:53
The waves increase in intensity, but suddenly, as quickly as they had begun the vanished. A massive explosion if color enveloped the area of the station and the sphere and all the debris were gone...
Two weeks later... the government of Falasmayon delivered its report on the situation to the governments of the countries concerned.
Dr. Gillimer was conducting unauthorized experiments on early universe material. His attempts at creating a fast and safe sublight engine were unsuccessful but with some more research may yet yield results. In the process of activating the reactor for the first time, an unknown event occurred. For some reason or another the reactor was induced to implode and then expand, forming a sphere The exact contents of the sphere are unknown but it is believed to have been an unstable area of space-time. One in which the primary physics of the universe returned to their pre-singularity states. The inherent instability of the sphere caused it to explosively destabilize when intensly bombarded with scanning energy, killing 10 marine guard who were investigating it. The spere may have weapons grade applications. Falasmayon is exceedingly grateful and will, if Gillimer's notesd prove fruitful, provide the plans for the GUT drives to any nation in the PRoxima Centauri system who wishes access to them.
OOC: Sorry to end this but there is another RP that is drawing my atterntion. And additionally i recommend that you all search for posts authored by trasnia... read their introduction. And talk to me about it later.
