51 Miles off the coast of Fluttergork

Captain Mike Peters stood on the deck of the S.S. Grimm, a patrol frigate making it's normal rounds of the home island, trying to light his pipe in the fierce wind. He got a good burn going and began to watch his crew going about their normal rounds.

"Sir!" A yeoman yelled suddenly. "Radar Contact, 2000 meters to starboard."

"Can you identify?" the captain asked, entering the control room to get out of the pounding rain.

"No, sir. This storm is making it hard on us."

"What is it's direction and speed?"

"Heading toward Fluttergork, bearing 192 magnetic. 21 knots."

"Is he broadcasting the current code?"

"No, sir."

The captain hurried to the radio unit and picked up the mike. "Attention unidentified vessel. You are about to enter the territorial waters of Fluttergork. Please identify!"

"We are the S.S. Transilvania a friendyl merchant vessel. We seek refuge in the harbor until the storm passes"

The captain listened to the message and thought quickly.

"S.S. Transilvania, please declare cargo and number of souls on board."

"we are transporting 1000tons of steel to [Insert nation here]. There are 16crew onboard but rumors have it that 2ghosts are onboars so we have either 16 or 18souls."

"When can we go into port?"

***Aboard the Hainan Class Hydro-Electric Submarine, the Xinjiang***

"Captain, we've found the enemy cargo vessel, its 2 klicks away, bearing 0900."

"Good, get closer and put a torpedo into it..."

Suddenly the Sonar Officer swivels his chair and speaks.

"Captain, we have an unidentified contact bearing 0930..."

"What? Who else is in the neighborhood? Forget it... Speed up to 18 knots and rise to 12 meters..."

"Aye, sir..."

"S.S. Transilvania, you are cleared to proceed to Dock 14 at the Quaggy Marine Terminal. Be advised that you will be subject to a customs inspection prior to any crew or cargo being removed from the ship."

***Aboard the Xinjiang***

"Captain, the enemy cargo vessel is docking..."

"Are we in range?"

"Yes sir..."

"Good, target the vessel and prepare to put a Seaskimmer Anti-Ship Missile into it..."

"Aye sir..."

The crew of the Xinjiang prepare to fire the missile.

"Mr. First, flood tube 3..."

"Tube 3 has been flooded..."

"Get me the bearing..."

"Bearing 0345... The missile is targeted and ready for launch."

"Good, Mr. First..."

The Captain walks over to the firing button and presses it, launching out the Seaskimmer Anti-Ship Missile.

***On the surface***

The Missile explodes out of the surface and streaks into the docking cargo vessel, the S.S. Transilvania, which explodes in a fury...

***Aboard the Heaven's Will Class Aegis Cruiser, the Eye of the Storm***

"Vice Admiral Alexander Stukov, message from the Xinjiang, the cargo vessel transporting the contraband weapons was destroyed..."

"Excellent..."

As the Admiral spoke, the Eye of the Storm skims through the sea.

OOC - Why did you do this?

5 Crew manage to scramble around a life raft whiel the rest of the ship sinks to the bottom of the sea. Non know what happened except that they were lucky to be alive.

They wait for rescue and they deploy there emergancy GPS.

The S.S. Grimm hurriedly makes its way toward the survivors in the life raft, and sends a launch to retrieve them. Soon, they are safely onboard and given fresh clothes and a stateroom. Within moments, the captain knocks on their door and enters.

"Gentleman, I hope you're all ok. Do you have any idea why the ship from Five Civilized Nations fired upon you?"

The S.S. Grimm hurriedly makes its way toward the survivors in the life raft, and sends a launch to retrieve them. Soon, they are safely onboard and given fresh clothes and a stateroom. Within moments, the captain knocks on their door and enters.

"Gentleman, I hope you're all ok. Do you have any idea why the ship from Five Civilized Nations fired upon you?"

Did we get fired upon? All we know is that we left Port and about 3 days into our trip one of the crew spotted a strange ship on the horizon that was following us and not responding to our radio. When the storm hit we tried to find safety and just after we talked to you our ship exploded.

Wait a minute, YOU DID IT. GET away from us, we are only civilians you yon'y learn anything from us. PLEASE HAVE MERCY.

"I assure you we mean no harm." the captain said patiently. "Right after we spoke on the radio, we received a radar contact of a submerged vessel. That vessel fired on you right after we gave you clearance to proceed toward Fluttergork. We have since realized it was from Five Civilized Nations. Are you aware of anything that would cause them to do this?"

We have no idea why Five Civilized nation would do anything. He havn't had any radio contact with any vessels from that country or anything.

"Very well. Would you gentleman prefer to be transported to the Fluttergorkian mainland where you can contact your embassy, or would you like to contact them now and they can arrange transport?"

OOC: Im going to bed, cya.

The Ravenger skirted around the ocean, in search of deserters from their fleet. Commodore Joshua Flint (OOC he was promoted) stood on the quarter deck binoculars to his eyes while occasionally glancing down at the radar on deck. So far no contacts but he was determined to find them.

Just then the radio crackled, mostly static but in between the screeching noise he made out parts of a distress call, distinctly hearing "...abandoning ship............Kravoli......"

Flint turned with new interest at hearing this, *Kravoli...Kravoli?* he thought. Then turning to another man on deck he yelled out: "Willhelm, get me the FKC maps."


Moments later Flint had the maps spread out on the deck table and he ran fingers over and over them until his suspicions were validated.

"Kravoli, they are in our region. That makes us allies and responsible for aiding them." Flint stood up and yelled to the man at the wheel, "Mr. Harper, change of course a point north by northeast. I want us sailing hard for the general direction of the distress call, keep an open frequency so we can start hailing or pick up more information."

Thats claim is 100% false. No Kavoli vessel has ever been within Five Civilized Nations water and NO Kravoli vessel was ever used to steal anything.

We would be more than happy to prove this if a 3rd party agrees to go underwater as see what the vessel was transporting.

The Emperor wishes to send his condolences to the families of this merchant vessel that was attacked. Due to the Empire's large navy, and naval research vessels, we are more than willing to help determine the cargo onboard this ship. As we have no relations with either party involved, we would be impartial, and would understand the consequences if this is not resolved as we know the horrors of war.

The government of Jiggady demands further explanation on this matter from Five 'so called' Civilized Nations. We want full proof and justification of these claims, or else this will be considered an act of war against Kravoli, and the FKC.

The Empire of Fluttergork has sent it's top divers down to the wreck site along with state of the art video recording software. A thorough inspection of the wreck site (tapes available to anyone who pleases) has determined that it held 900 tons of steel, 200 tons of grain, and 25 pounds of diamonds. There were three AK-47's found, but it is beleived that these belonged to the crew and were used as a defensive measure.

As Five Civilized Nations's claims have proven to be false, the Empire of Fluttergork hereby demands an explanation.

"Damn, we sank the wrong vessel!?! Where the damn is that vessel carrying the prototype technology? I demand an explanation."

"I'm sorry, my liege... But there is nothing we could do... The Xinjiang supposedly tracked the vessel there..."

"Bring the captain of the Xinjiang back and have him court martialed!!!"

"Yes, my liege..."

The Empire of Fluttergork demands that a public apology is made and any reparations requested be acceeded to.

The Five Civilized Nations are willing to provide a public apology, BUT we would like the help of all parties involved in finding the thieves of our propiertary technology...

"You wrongly blow up the vessel of a soveriegn nation, then ask help in finding the right vessel to blow up? Perhaps having your technology stolen is just the punishment you deserve. The FIA has several operatives who are reporting that this technology is for sale on the black market. The Empire of Fluttergork is now trying to purchase it, and once we do we shall publicly release it."

OOC: Its a deadly biological weapon that the Five Civilized Nations had taken from an illegal genetic engineering lab... It will cause a ecological disaster, if it is accidently released into any environment... The Five Civilized Nations was transporting this WMD to a safe location to destroy this weapon, when it was hijacked by terrorist that was traced to the Kravoli vessel...

Well, I don't you'd want a war with Kravoli, because you'd hardly be justified, and hence would end up getting the sh** beat out of you.

How about an RP of peace negotiations between you two? I could mod it.

Now that this whole matter of what cargo the ship was carrying we can discuss the matter of compensation. You sank a merchant vessel carrying 900tons of Steel, 200tons of grain, 25 pounds diamonds and most importantly the lives of 11 good men.

We do ask for some sort of compensation to go to the families of the deceased,to the surviving crew and captain.

"Compensation!?! They ask for compensation... Oh well, provide each of the families of the deceased with villas on Torbardo Island... And provide them with monthly wages and food...
