"We will purchase a single Rex. Is a ten-year payment plan acceptable?"

Yes, that is acceptable. It is being shipped now.

The Davis corporation would like to aquire one of these machines for our extensive research into nontraditional mechanized units. Such a new weapons platform will be sure to bring you many profits.
By extensive research, we mean ruthless reverse engineering, followed by blatant patent violations and eventual full production status.

Metal Gear Solid II? Nice.

Metal Gear Solid I, since he's talkin' about Rex.

Metal Gear Solid is awesome, man. Great story and stuff.

Are you even a member of NATO? I think not. (And it's the first MGS.)

Now now, no need to be huffy. We would be pat of the NATO, but your policies are just so restrictive. Our wish is to merely enhance our understanding of this new technology, we find it quite intriguing. Perhaps you would be willing to accept small group of engineers to discuss the various technological advances made with this new development?

Jeez, its fine for Sigma to reject me outright, but did you have to hurt my eyes with that obscene gesture? Completely unnessessary. Besides, it was flavor text while staying with character.

[IC]
The Davis Corporation is deeply hurt by this unfounded outright rejection by Sigma Octavus. As such, you can expect to not find any of our products gracing your store shelves for the next fiscal year. We are sorry, but you forced our hand.

OOC: Be IC and do that if you want. I just pointed it out, seeing as i'm allied with SO and all.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to sell this thing to me either? No industrial espionage here, just the usual X amount purchased along with limited production rights. IC request will follow if I'm not rejected.

Unfortunatly, we are not capable of purchasing these weapons in large quantities due to large amounts of spending on the New Sparthan and Spartha Reborn reconstruction efforts and space program research.

We are willing to engage in a technology exchange, however. Having purchased production rights to the Skycleaner anti-aircraft gun from Raysia, we are willing to exchange these for design plans to the WBT-1.

Scroll down the first post for the Skycleaner specs.

Here is a question, what is the effectiveness for defence? How many men can an average mech take on at once? I have a bunch of important islands that I need to protect, specifically the ones that house the Ruhrian Radar and Sonar Shield (RRSS).

I'm not sure exactly. It could be used in long range defense with the rail gun and short range defense with the 140mm cannon. And I don't know numbers of infantry. But it does have a machine gun and anti-infantry missiles in the arsenal, so it should be able to hold its own. Also, you probably wouldn't want a machine this expensive ungaurded, so it should have some cover from infantry or armor. I have three of these defending Nuremburg.

Is this 2015 tech?

Yes, it is. MGS happens in 2001-2015 somewhere. It works. I RP the same age as you.

It is quite an investment, even more than several of the Ruhrian vessels produced. It is more effective for us to use what frigates we have, but maybe something of this sort can be integrated in our defence corps.
