After a little investigation we see a clear hostile relationship has existed between Iesus Christi and Resi Corporation before this incident...until Resi responds we must complain about the mobilization of your forces before trying to engage in diplomacy.

In Thelas, on the other hand, there was turmoil. Unlike the unity of purpose that held the atackers, the Thelasian Generals were unsure. To protect Resi, or help a nation that tends to hate elves any way, that in the past we gave free weapons to rebels in the Reich. Then some one got a bright idea. Three Grav-Fleets with about 250,000 troops would be sent down, but Thelas would remain neutral. And so it was done.

Total war? Clearly, after having disregarded international copyright law and an economic sanction, Iesus Christi is merely attempting to now grab by force what he hasn't already stolen.

This warmongering will not go unchallenged by the PrattCo Conglomerate, a longtime ally of the Resi Corporation.

I've been doing fine, man. Got me a wife named Eris (she's a really great woman, I could go on about her for pages) and Sara's growing up. She's getting a little angsty, but I was like that too at her age. Can you still chug a keg like you used to do in college? I know I've lost my touch.

Actually, there has been a regime change in Guanyu and the new regime is decidedly more militaristic that the previous one was. Research and development are being given more funding as well as production, so you may be seeing some new aerospace products on the market soon. Also, although that is more than half our aerial force, we are certainly not entirely undefended, and about three quarters of our ground forces remain in place guarding our borders despite our defense of another ally against coastal assault.

Most of the force was already there, actually. The previous government was too pacifistic to use it. I admit it has been a bit of a rush job getting them all back in line condition. Many of the units remaining to defend our borders are badly in need of remodeling, which is what we are focusing on for the moment.. Once we have gotten our military completely back in working order we will begin researching new units, such as the completed Stinger II as opposed to these experimental units.

OOC: Well ... bearing in mind the main problem would be pressure ... closer on 60kph. That's about as fast as a Seawolf, which is a lot smaller.

"If we get involved, we will be annihilated. ResiCorp is a very close ally, but the Coalition gathered against him is too large. We'd be able to hold them of for months, yes. But eventually we will fall."

Another councilmember got up from his seat, and replied with loud voice, filled with emotion.

"This is an outrage! We cannot stand by and let this happen. ResiCorp has been cooperating with us on countless occasions, and their loss will significantly decrease the capitalist powerbase in the known world. They are in the top ten of largest corporations, for crying out loud."

"David, control yourself. We know that your wife is a Resian immigrant, and that you have many posessions in ResiCorp. But we cannot let that cloud our judgment. Our choice is simple. Either we pledge support and go down fighting, or we abstain from support and be viewed upon as cowards."

With a faint smile, Councelor Stone, the Defence Council chairman, gave his reply. He had been called into the meeting for obvious purpose, and now he spoke his mind.

"Neither one of those alternatives is very good for business. But I have two comments on all of this. First, I do not believe that Resi is responsible for the terrorist strike, since humans were used in that. Resi's only capable military units are all of robotic nature. Especially their infiltration robots are very efficient, and would certainly have been used for such a strike, instead of humans.

The Vortex Corporation morally condemns this so called "righteous" war against ResiCorp. We have yet to see any proof of their responsibility for the terrorist strike on the Iesus facility.

We are also very disappointed to see that this war starts without any negotiations whatsoever. We thought the nations involved would be wiser than to rush into war. Truly, those who resort to violence in anything that crosses their path, are fools to be sure.

However, we are well aware that Resi is not entirely innocent. Though they are a very valued ally, and despite the fact that it has been proven that their empaths are not slaves, Resi has been involved in some practices that are questionable at the very least.

Unfortunately, we are not able to pledge military support to our valued friend and ally. Because of the recent Chimera project completion, our forces and funds are still stretched too thin to organize a strong military force. Also, many of our forces are now involved in SATO RDF activity, and they cannot act unless SATO becomes officially involved in this conflict.

Thirdly, upcoming changes in our own nation make it ver, very inconvenient to engage in direct combat. Our upcoming changes are still very fragile in this phase of the process, and we can therefore not act. We also fear that our involvement would draw more nations, for example from the Corporate Coalition, to this war, and expand this conflict more than is absolutely necessary.

However, this still means we condemn this war! Therefore, we have agreed upon the following:

1. The Vortex Corporation offers space and referees for negotiations, on neutral ground.

2. The Vortex Corporation offers a safe haven for any Resi refugees.

3. The Vortex Corporation will start airdrops with medicines and food when the time comes that such a thing is needed.

We believe those hostile to ResiCorp have their eyes on the technology & resources of ResiCorp, and not on what they call justice. Indeed because we have stated our stance for ResiCorp we have drawn the ire of United Indiastan, for showing them for what they are.

OOC: If you have no other "nations" involved in this conflict I vcan't see how this would effect the non-puppet policy. It would be like ordinairy roleplay. Non-puppet policy is to stop nations from creating huge puppetempires which they wage war with. Using autonomous nations as spies or in completely different conflicts from ones main char sounds rather normal.

All claims made against him so far are obvious fakes, and the only "evidence" I have seen so far are news reports from the accusing countries' news networks, and some "confessions" from obviously brainwashed soldiers (whetherby torture, drugs or religion - or a combination of the above - the method matters not, only the result is of import).

I too have decided to stand by Resi, much to the fury of my new neighbors in Anarchy. Resi has provided me with govenrmental advice; advice crucial to my role as undisputed emperor of Emperor Corp. Ltd. I can aid onlt with:

1) Six prototype vaporization rays
(Since the rays are prototypes, we will not distribute them to any other nations and will hold onto them. These weapons do have a 2.7% chance of vaporizing a 500' radius around the shooter instead of the intended target, and a .09% of acting as a neutron bomb (sans radiation, etc.) when fired. That was the best we could do with whatever funding we've recieved.

2) Six tech-squads, outfitted with night/thermal vision goggles, AK-47s, DVine Mini-guns, (a product of Emperor Corp, Ltd. "Make mine DVine!") sneaking suits (we don't have the funds for cloaking) and one vaporization ray per squadron.

3) The full power of the 9th and 11th naval and the 101 airborne division of our military forces. Some of the heros of the McPhersonite insurgence will be with these crews; it is true that they fought the insurgence on the ground, but each one of these commandos has proven their expertise and valor in their respective field of the military. For a number of them, this is NOT their first war, and they are far too used to destruction and the sight of blood to be deterred by it.

As of now, that is all I can and will be able to support you with. You have our full political support in defense of your nation, as well as whatever medical aid I can supply. My extremely well-funded hospitals can send some of our doctors (don't forget, all of our citizen are inducted into the ranks of our military at age 13) into the areas of war where they are needed the most. If you have any men who need medical attention, as long as you have samples of the diseases being used against you, you can bet my doctors and scientists can cure them. We've been completely germ-free since our inception, one of the few fields we continued work in since the Great Pax.

OOC: This is all true if you're modern tech, however Resi is futuretech and so is Deepangel, you can't assume that such an advanced nation hasn't found a way around those problems. Quite frankly, I've seen crazier things said on these boards (such as Angelus building a new ship every other day). Don't attack a nation and then call what tech they have developed a godmod, by attacking you have automatically accepted it.

OOC: OK, some things I need to know.

1) Resi, is your corporation based on the island in the Corporate Islands, or is there someplace geographically different?

2) I'm not sure, but it looks as if I'm the only one whose deployed space forces. Based on Resi's rather futuristic status, I'm gonna assume "space tech" is allowed. For anyone else involved, or soon to be in this conflict, where would your space assets be right now?

As we have stated to others, we could care less what fate comes to Resi Corporation. We are merely 'requesting' that, in dealing with Skattagunder, that other means could be found to bring differences of opinion (or whatever) to a close with no loss of life. OOC: please forgive this ooc post, but I have to share my comments on this, Resi may very well have the funds and the facilities to produce this large number of robots ( It is a fantasy game after all) But it is not right. Hell I have had cloning tech for eons now (NS time) so I could very well field an army of millions of clones, but I don't. I have robot tech as well (reverse engineered from Resibots) so there is no reason why I could not field an army of millions of robots alongside my clones, but I don't. I have several puppets with billion + populations and I could add there armies next to my clones and robots, but I don't. And here is why: it is not fun. Resi is a corporation, not a nation. His name should give that away. This means he doesn't get taxes, this that or the other. His corporate base has no agriculture, no facilities other than arms manufacture (and according to the UN, it's not so hot at that, either).

What does this mean? Ultimately, that he can have the best store in the world, and still be poorer than a September nation.

It means that Resi is better off being treated as a nation than as a corporation, for a start. Besides, one off cash injections - such as those sales listed - fund one off projects. They cannot maintain an army.

Just because there are no corporations with nations now doesn't mean there can't be. I mean, if they wanted Microsoft could move to some islands in the south pacific and build up a nation there, create an army of nerds, and invade lesser island nations. That's essentially what we did, except with robots instead of nerds, and it's worked out very well.

By the way, if I was a modern-style corporation as you said, I wouldn't have any land to invade. If you invade me it would be invading another nation also.
