Although we wish to remain neutral at this time, the Dominion of Kotterdam cannot help but echo the sentiments expressed by the Vortex Corporation. We have yet to see any proof of the Resi Corporation's culpability in these despicable acts.

In fact, Iesus Christi's description of the raid on the Christicorp plant raises a number of questions, foremost amongst them being the following: With the weapons at the disposal of the Resi Corporation, why would they use a bioagent like the one you described? Why not simply bomb the plant off the face of the Earth?

Additionally, what form of bioagent manifests itself in the form of wounds that could so easily be mistaken for those inflicted by gunshots? 1. It was one of the TPA threads, I believe. You said you would turn my nation into a wasteland that was populated by harmful chemicals and vicious viruses. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a threat to me.

2. I don't believe I said I did it at once, I payed Crimson blades money to rent a couple of his his people transport ships and moved my pop over a period of ten years. I didn't, and still don't, have enough ships to move even a million people, so I resorted to outside sources. Also, I base my military on Earth, have enough civilians here to keep infrastructure going in case I ever want to return, and most of my government business is conducted on Earth. The situation is rather difficult, it would seem. On the one hand we have accusations from Iesus Christi, backed up by "proof" and believed by his allies. On the other we have the refutation by Resi Corperation, backed up by "disproof" and believed by his allies.

In the middle we have lots of Jai's friends claiming to be "neutral" observers and offering to inspect the situation and back his claim. Of course people who work for Jai Resi's wife can be trusted to report on any degrading circumstances with 100% accuracy. We couldn't possibly believe that direct agents of chaos could ever be convinced to tell anything but the truth, now could we?

Frankly, right now the international community could be forgiven for thinking that, much as it pains me to say this, Iesus Christi has a strong case.

Its not that nobody understood/understands what Resi-Corp was saying over the issue of the empaths, its that they choose not to believe him: after all he would say that to appease international opinion.

An idea came to Scotty all of a sudden in the middle of the night. Up already, he rose to find a cup of coffee and wait for daybreak over the Resi corporation. Dressing casually, he wandered through the residence, finding it almost amusing to have the guards saluting a man in jeans and a t-shirt. Reaching the situation room, he sat up staring at the electronic map of the world as he often did.

Marked on the map were the major military deployments, the places where young men and women not too unlike his own daughter and son were off serving their country. Here, close to home, was Salem's Field Air Force Base just a hundred or so kilometers from the capital, the biggest air defence center in the country, and the training base for the Air Force. There, out at sea another blip of light represented the DKS Stalwart and her battlegroup, the newest of the Dominion-class of carriers underway in Kallistian waters en route to one of that allied nation's ports for a stop over before heading back out into its patrol pattern.

Like he always did when he couldn't sleep, he spent hours staring at the map, wondering if he really knew what he was doing, wondering if any of those young men and women had been sent off to die. Sure, the individual unit deployments were done by someone else, by his military General staff... But he had the ultimate authority, and the major orders came with his signiture on them. As always, he offered a silent prayer for them to all come home safe and sound.

The hours passed slowly but surely. Finally, he reached out and raised the phone to his ear. It was one of those little things you had to get used to in this job that tripped him up. It only took a few moments before the operator at the other end came on. At least... He thought it was an operator. One thing that always unnerved Scotty about dealing with the Resi Corporation was that he was never certain if he was talking to their equivalent of an IVR phone system or not. You know the kind: Press one to go on hold, press two to scream at the machine, press three to get disconnected, abandon all hope of ever talking to a real person all ye who listen past this point. He supposed that when the voice on the phone gave you the answers you needed, it didn't really matter if the operator was flesh and blood or not, but he always liked knowing who he was talking to.

"Hello, Resi Corporation?" he asked, waiting a moment for the answer. "This is Prime Minister Haley from the Dominion of Kotterdam. We're looking to hire a number of your employees. Yes, that's right, the Empaths." The conversation was over an open phone line as a little show of confidence in Jai Resi's position. "How many? We'll send over a representative to work out the details. I'll warn you up front, they may encounter hazardous duty situations, but nothing too extreme. We'll offer them the proper training, and perhaps even a bonus. What kind? Bodyguard work. Imagine a bodyguard who can pick out hostile intent.
