This an IBC, Indiastan Brodcasting Corperation, News Flash. Earlier today, while working on an apparently top-secret project for the government, the Rocketdyne Fleet Systems labs in central Sri Lanka exploded, devestating the entire island. Thousands are believe killed, and a death toll nearing the millions it expected. The explosion came from the Experimental Energy Wing of the Rocketdyne compund, which covers the western quarter of the province of Sri Lanka. We'll have more details as the unfold. Thank you.

"Apparently, researches were experimenting with their new Matter/Anti-Matter reactor testbed, when the magnetic containment fields inexplicably failed. The resultant energy release has virtually wiped out the center of the island, leaving little more then scortched earth. Nearby Karmatech, a staunch opponent of Rocketdyne's in the technology and engineering fields, was also hit hard by the blast, as they are located right next to the larger Rocketdyne facility. A trust fund has been set up for the Rocketdyne and Karmatech employees killed in the blast, which can be reached in by calling the following number.."
Namir was more then just pissed. He was incensed.
"What the hell is this!?!" he cried to his advisory council. "That reactor was supposed to go online in two months, and now its a smoking crater! What the hell happened!?"
"Well sir," said his Security Advisor, "Initial reports seem to indicate either sabatoge, or a freak weather change that destabilzed the magnetic containment fields. Could be either."
"Anyone else?" Namir growled.
"Well sir, Rocketdyne reports that this will delay the Omega by two months, and push back their end of the work on the SA-32 by nearly five," said the Minister of Science and Technology. "Also, the shipments of the HEMAR will have to delayed in order to double check the fields. We wouldn't want to be blamed for this happening to someone else."
"No, I suppose not. Now, back to work."

"Because of the damages caused to Rocketdyne and Karmatech, and their status as two of the primary government-sponsered technology agencies in Indiastan, Lt-Governor Sadat ordered the nationalization of all assets belonging to the foreign nations of Resi Corperation and Roania, as well as all of their subsidiaries, because of the recent Sri Lanka blast. These assets are to be sold off, possibly back to the original owners, with the proceeds to be diveded up amongst Rocketdyne and Karmatech, in order to better fund their rebuilding. In addition, any technology that they are currently employing in any of those facilites seized has become public domain, so both corperations are expected to fully exploit that. The seized assets are valued at anywhere from 300 million to a billion per nation. This and been an IBC report."

Those tamils are going to be even more pissed.
However
We express our deep concern and sympathy for the loss of life and equipment to our friend and ally.

Governor-General Namir Al-Zwahiri sends his personal thanks and condolences for Iesus' own recent tragedy, and pledges to support Iesus in putting an end to the madness that is Resi Corp....
The Republic of Malidor is saddened by the destruction of Sri Lanka, land that could have been used for better purposes. We blame the catastrophe on failing safety procedures and standards on the part of United Indiastan. However, We applaud the nationalisation of Vortex and Roanian holdings, the power of those evil profiteers must be curbed.

"We thank Malidor's support, however we have found no evidence as to why a stable magnetic field that had been runing without error for near to three months would suddenly and without warning collapse. After inspecting some of the ResiCorp holdings in Indiastan, it appears that they were in fact spying on Rocketdyne, and planning on developing their OWN Matter/Anti-Matter reactor, and sought to put their compeditors out of buiness. They obviously have little experence dealing with such a system, as we believe that they did not intend to cause such blatent harm. Be that as it may, we are not yet currently satisfied that ResiCorp has been sufficently punished, and we make purse other courses of action. We will, of course, keep you posted. Thank you."

To put it simply, we did not do this. Our doing this would be horrible PR, and would cause our stock to drop like hell. As we hold our economy above all else, there is no way we could've even thought about committing terrorism like this.

"Today, three men, claiming to be agents of Resi Corp, where arrested at Bombay Memorial Airport, attempting to flee the country. After being checked, we have found that they have been irradiated with high quantites of Gamma radiation, a tell-tale sign of being near a Matter/Anti-Matter reaction. After being confronted with the fact that they have less then three months to live, all three of them confirmed bing outside contractors hired by Resi Corp agents to sabatoge the Rocketdyne project. They said they didn't mean to cause the reactor to explode, but apparently they accidently caused the containment breach when the insider they hired tried to vent some anit-matter into a seperate containment canister. They have claimed full responsibility for their actions, but despite pleas from the business community and Parliment, Governor-General Al-Zwahiri showed them mercy by sentancing them to live out the remainder of their lives in a prison hospital. This has been an IBC report."

(ooc: well, Indiastan currently consists of the former India, Pakistan, Bangledesh, and Sri Lanka. We also hold abuot half of Afghanistan, but that is not widely acknowledged. Any other questions?)

"An updated damage report was released by the government earlier today regarding the Sri Lanka explosion from three months ago. Apparently the damage from the explosion was not as bad as originally believed, as only a small percent, 20% we're told, whent beyond the Rocketdyne compound. The death toll now stands at 388,542, with about 95% pf those being Rocketdyne employees who where living and working ont he coumpound north of Columbo. The monetary cost to rebuild the damaged compund and neighbouring suburb is being entirely swallowed by Rocketdyne, and the estimate now stands at nearly a billion Pokes. Now that the Omega and Thunderbolt have entered service with the Indiastan, Rocketdyne believes that the profits from them will help offset this loss. They have also announced that the plans for the MAM reactor have been shelved indefinetly, pending further research into better safety and redundency systems. This has been an IBC report."
