SMALL REGION NEEDS UN DELEGATE

The small (four nation) region of the “BUDDHIST REGION OF JAMBUDVIPA” ( http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_region/region=buddhist_region_of_jambudvipa ) offers its Delegacy (the pre-committed endorsements of two UN nations) to a suitable UN member willing to relocate and perform the duties of Regional Delegate.

The “BUDDHIST REGION OF JAMBUDVIPA” is a Buddhist region, with a strong religious culture, but does not require the Delegate to hold Buddhist (or any) religious beliefs. We only require the Delegate honor the Buddhist principles of compassion and non-violence toward all creatures. The Regional Founder (The Kingdom of Avalokitesvara) retains Founder’s privileges and will use them in the case of irreconcilable differences, but we trust that good intentions will overcome any dispute which may possibly arise between region and Delegate.

Seriously interested nations should move themselves to the region and discuss the Delegacy with the region on the Regional Message Board.

WARNING: Because the Region is so small, and the member nations fairly inactive, any Delegate might find it BORING. But you’ll be Delegate, and with 2 endorsements able to make proposals in the UN (which of course we trust will be appropriate to the Region…).

Wouldn't it be possible, that one of the four UN nations in your region joins the UN, so that your region can endorse a delegate among yourselfs?

Two of their nations aren't in the UN (which probably means they're puppets of some other UN members) and the two UN members there say (in the message board) that they don't want the job -- and from experience elsewhere we can relate to that.

We solved the same problem in our dead-end region by getting a friend of a friend to come in and endorse.

If I wasn't a regional founder and UN Delegate I'd jump on this opporunity. I encorage up and comming UN Nations to take up this oppotunity to weild a little weight in the United Nations arena.

I would however suggest you do try to appoint a nation from within, In my region Reformed Oceania, we rotate the postion between all UN Nations on a weekly to fortnightly basis. This can work well in smaller regions like yours.

Now we have a Delegate!
