Anti-War protests in Svea Riga

“Today tens of thousands of people gathered in the squares and major streets blocking traffic pillaging storages, today crime rates have gone up by 210% compared to a normal day in Svea Riga.
Today… is the day the protest against the occupation and war against Skargarden started. The occupations are held almost once every year since the first Svea Rigan occupation of Skargarden almost 14 years ago which was only 2 months after Skargarden broke out and went rouge. The anti-war protests have gained support from both politicians themselves and most underground newspapers not yet broken down.

The government of course pays little to no attention on what the public demands, and ignores the politicians that claims support to the underground freedom party SFP. SFP is hunted day and night and are accused of being behind the latest in a row of attacks against military storages outside Stock Holm, the government claims them to have close connections with VA.
VA or Volunteer Army are a group located mainly in SeOCC where their organization is legal, unlike here where mostly everything except driving down the street screaming “All hail Svea Riga” is forbidden.

So we’re running out of time, my sources tells me that ‘Secret Police’ have traced our hideout and are going to hit within 15 min, we will keep the camera up so the surrounding world will se what it’s like to live in the underground world, trying to keep safe of the police and cameras, all these damn cameras”

The man who’s sitting in a office-chair gets up, takes out a gun from his jacket and speaks some words to his comrades, and then turns to the camera “Don’t get me wrong I’m a true communist like everyone in Svea Riga, but some things we cannot just take, if you keep looking you’ll se what I mean… goodbye”.
The men leaves the room, after 2 min the windows seen in the background are broken, gas is spreading in the room, 2 mice are hold in a cage they die instantly. After another 30 sec men wearing gasmasks and armed with MP5s are storming into the room spraying the chair full with bullets and securing the room. When the room is cleared a man comes in, wearing 2 tanks on his back and a flamethrower in his hand, he flames the walls and notices the red dot on the camera is on, he turns the flamer to the camera and the camera goes black

MoI Release, Svea Rigan Bureau:

Volunteer Army Attacks Svea Rigan Media Outlets.

At 3:14 last night four television stations in the Svea Riga capital came under rocket attack targetting their broadcast attennas. Rigan authorities have not announced the damage done to the station facilities and have closed the stations until the investigation into the attacks are done. The Volunteer Army claimed responsibility through a message posted on the SeOCC Data Havens:

This attack was the first of many revolutionary actions we will undertake to overthrow the Stalinist state of Svea Riga. The people of this nation must be free to choose their own fate, and only when the institutions of their oppression have fallen will that freedom exist. We tread where our government fears to go.

No official response from SeOCC has been released though an MSA spokesperson reiterated that SeOCC's International Criminal Conspiracy charges will be used to prosecute anyone involved in these attacks.

Svea Rigan brothers in arms,

Unfortunately, Ruhr is on the verge of a Civil War. We cannot help you suppress your riots. We wish you your best though.

NATO is reforming, two of our Head Council Members left the alliance and it is time for a rebirth. Please pay attention to the intercommunications system (NATO Board) for further updates. Good luck.

Dear allies all over the globe, the small protests are nothing of importance, every day we arrest more and more of the SFP and VA.
I can say that we have a mayority of the people on our side in this conflict and that the protests aren't gonna go any further.

The pathetic attacks from VA have only delayed our plans for total extermination of the VA group.

As we speak extra police forces are being sent into StockHolm and many other towns. Screen goes blank and a green messege is sent

Link hacked by the Svea Riga Freedom Party

The same man as yesterday sits in a chair, we background is a nice lookout over the capital city

"Greetings citizens of the world, the great attacks from the VA yesterday was a helpfull act, we owe you much. Politicians from the government that claimed loyalty to Svea Riga and not the current government have provided us with pleasant information regarding weapons stock inside the city, this may alarm the citizens further but we assure you the weapons will only be used to take down the false government of Svea Riga! We need the people to march out on the street and support your countrymen allready protesting outside governmental buildings and looting supply stocks all around the country. I bid you farewell and Viva la revolution and Viva Svea Riga"

***A secure conference room in government headquarters in Lhai, Lhijir, Xikuang***

The Elected General Council confers regularly, but occasionally an unscheduled, and occasionally, not exactly public conference is called for. This is one such occasion, called by the Elected Chair of the Committee for National Security, Sarekh Djijirin.

"Do we have an official statement on the affairs in Svea Riga?" Sarekh asked.

"No." Xu replied, "or at least I don't think we should, not yet, in light of this whole Lifveräddaren mess. Things could get nasty for us, and we have to consider our allies as well if they do."

"About that Lifveräddaren mess and that unofficial message from that Zhi person-- I have further information to bring before the council." Sarekh begins handing out printouts, one to each of the other twelve people present in the dimly lit room.

To Elected General Councillor Sarekh Djijirin:

I write to you in your capacity as Elected Chair of the Committee for National Security, with regard to the unrest in Svea Riga. It is no doubt as obvious to you as it is to me that the Svea Rigan government lies to its people and to the world about its motivations and its actions, and we have seen particulars of those actions in the recent broadcasts to have made it out of the country. I wish further to bring it to your attention that there are elements operating within the SFP, originally Xikuangese, who escaped into Svea Riga during the occupation. I am reliably informed by them that under the occupation, the Svea Rigan government provided covert assistance to Guo Leng.

How you wish to take this information is up to you. I merely wish you to have it.

With benedictions,

'Red Tzian'.

"This arrived in my e-mail this morning." Sarekh spoke to the general council. "It was sent from an internet cafe in Qingkue, Khetari."

"And do you know who this 'Red' Tzian is?" Xu asked.

"I do, actually; he has come to my attention in the past. His name is Tshesher Sengi'i. He was very active during the Occupation, but nobody ever caught him. A bit of a militarist. He keeps up to speed with subversives all over the place-- honestly, I'm more than inclined to believe him."

"In light of recent evidence, so would I." spoke up councillor Xiang. "It would explain a lot."

Councillor Kham frowned. "If we go public with this information, it could potentially stir up a real hornet's nest. The Svea Rigan government will surely deny it, but people here, and probably there, will be outraged. Things could get... interesting."

"They may already have, Khitai..."

Corrupt government executes citizens on the street

Illegal broadcast from Stockholm – Svea Riga

Yesterday at 5 pm 17 year old Carl and his friends took part of the protest against the use of WMD outside Aperin last week and the occupation of Skargarden, they were a part of a much larger group consisting of SFP associates and supporters roaming the streets looking for someplace to stay over the night.
Instead they found death, as they went around a corner the group (about 35-45 people in ages from 16 to 30) saw 2 heavy police cars guarding a black limousine. Here something goes terribly wrong, the policemen sees the group as a threat to whoever is inside the limousine.
Without asking so much as a question the police takes up their guns and fires relentless into the mass killing 13 people wounding 26 before they stopped fire. Then they drove off towards the city limit just leaving the wounded and dead behind to rot on the streets. The survivors immediately called the local hospital but the ambulance got stopped and forced to turn around by the police.

So we ask ourselves, how important is one man so the police think they can kill 13 other human beings? Why did they do this?

I fear we’ll never get the answers. As a result of this brutal attack 3 of the 12 head councilors and many many more lower councils in the Domestic Affairs branch have threatened to step down from the government scene in objections to this brutal happening.

So there are people in the government with a conscious anyway.

ooc: I'm not creating a puppet nation to do this, but or the record, no one knows who these guys are; it's probably assumed that they are SFP. Svea Riga and I have something of a history of roleplaying the language barrier, though it's more fun wif we can both unerstand each other, so we have adopted the following conventions: blue indicates that the language spoken is Svea Rigan (or Swedish), while brown indicates that the language being spoken is Xikuangese (which I made up).

ic:

Stockholm. 3 AM. Police presence is high even at this hour, security being a concern as the level of popular protest against the corrupt and militaristic government continues to rise, especially in light of the recent murder of 13 peaceful protesters in broad daylight. In an alley, three boys, between the ages of 14 and 16, are spray-painting 'The King Is Dead! Long Live the SFP!' on the wall in large, artistically rendered lettering. There is a shout, and suddenly the boys are descended upon by five police. They run, but their way is cut off by more police heading them off from the other side. The boys cry out as they are caught and thrown to the ground, whereupon the police beat them brutally with nightsticks and the butts of their rifles. Then they are hauled to their feet and into waiting cars. One of them does not move, and has to be dragged. There is blood on the pavement. Around the area, lights that had been switched on are now off, and blinds are drawn. People are afraid even to see.

About 20 minutes outside the city centre lies the fortress-like home of Stockholm Governor John Ottoson. Security at the house has recently stepped up, and Ottoson himself rarely leaves the house. Two men guard each of the three entrances to the building, and another two-man patrol makes a regular 20-minute sweep. Security is high inside as well, ad the entire premises are watched with cameras and motion detectors. Ottoson himself is said to go constantly armed, and he has a reputation for being a very fine marksman.

Some ways down the street, a man-- curiously small for a Rigan, a knitted bobble hat pulled low over his head-- stands leaning against a telegraph smoking a vile import cigarette and typing a text message into his mobile 'phone. Two policemen regard him balefully, but he doesn't seem to be doing anything they can construe as wrong, so they simply glare at him, and continue on their beat. Busy as they had been in glaring, they did not notice the other man. But it is not usual to find men at the tops of telegraph poles at three in the morning.

"How you doing?" the first man says, speaking quietly, and apparently, to the 'phone. "Fine." the answer comes down from above. "Get ready and... okay, that's it."

The man on the ground nods once and hits send.

***At the House***

A man sits drinking coffee in a room in Ottoson's manor. One wall of the room is covered with screens, and various instruments and computers are on the desk before him. On of the screens suddenly goes dark, and a light comes on, flashing annoyingly. He presses a button and speaks into a microphone.

"Giertz, Olafsson. Camera's gone dead in your section and the motion detector's gone down too. Heads up."

"You think we should call for backup?" comes the reply.

"Nah, other stuff's gone wonky as well, so it's probably just a power surge. I'll have Ryander deal with it."

"Right. Giertz out."

Muttering something about why does he always have to do these things, Rylander goes to check the fuses. It will take him about three and a half minutes to get to the box, maybe more, if he continues his peevish dawdling. Three and a half minutes will be enough.

***Outside***

The content of the message sent to numerous 'phones set to vibrate, not ring, is ignored by their respective owners, for it is not the content that is important. The call itself is the signal. Suddenly a shadow moves swiftly around the flanks of the two guards. The motion detectors that would have automatically switched on the lights are not watching, and neither of the men notices.

Suddenly there is a sharp Eurffh! and a crack as Giertz gets a rifle butt to the kidney and a solid whack to the temple with a blunt object. Olafsson reacts immediately, bringing his weapon to bear upon the black-clad attacker, but then he too is felled from behind by another two shadows that seem to have materialised there. One of them quickly retrieves the swipe card from the unconscious Olafsson, while the other two secure the guards' hands , feet and mouths with duct tape. The other passes the swipe card through the electronic lock and opens the door.

"They're in. Go! Go!" Several other shadows streak towards the entrance, and a small woman with binoculars hiding in a shrubbery on the periphery of the estate hits send.

CRASH! Four windows on both sides of the building suddenly shatter, and then there is a tremendous BANG!! FLASH! as the flash grenades that have been thrown through them go off, and then another round on the floor above. There are shouts from within, and several black-clad figures rush through the rooms, quickly dispatching those of the security personnel who have been blinded by the grenades.

"He's probably on the second floor. Where are the stairs?" "Over here! Let's go!" Five of the intruders run up the stairs, taking them three at a time, while others take up guarding positions along the way.

"Herrejävlar!!" Suddenly, a shot rings out, and one of the black-clad men cries out, staggering back. In confusion, the intruders take defensive positions, until another shot (an elegantly fashioned china lamp explodes) reveals the Rigan gunman's position. Two of them return fire, and the man cries out in pain, dropping his weapon as his kneecap suddenly shatters into bloody pulp and fragments of bone. His gun is quickly kicked away, but more shouting in the Rigan language and the sounds of running feet approaching can be heard.

Upstairs: "Evacuative measures! We have to get the Governor out!" Four men surrounded the Governor Ottoson, who was hurriedly pulling on his trousers over his pyjamas, as another two watched at the door. Below, they could hear shots being fired, followed closely by a scream of agony abruptly cut off as another shot is fired... there is shouting in an unfamiliar language, and then a BANG! and FLASH! and then a number of disturbing crashes and thumps and the sound of people approaching. Not the right people, judging by the sound of things. "Incoming!" called out one of the men at the door, and then the two of them started firing down the corridor. Shots were returned, embedding themselves harmlessly in the doorframe, while the four men surrounding the governor bustle him through the room's other door. Suddenly, a smallish, cylindrical object comes skittering along the corridor, bouncing off of the opposite wall and neatly into the centre of the room. "Aw, crap!" one of the men utters before the inevitable

BANGFLASH...

In the adjacent room: WHUD! One of the guards surrounding the Governor falls to the floor unconscious as the butt of a rifle soundly connects with his head, and another yelps as another similar attack lands on his shoulder. The other two turn on their assailants, but the black-clad men are too quick for them, and one of them slips around, grabbing the Governor's arm, twisting it painfully behind his back and holding a pistol just below his jaw, pointing upwards. "Get back! All of you, get back or I kill him!" he yells, his words clearly accented, as the other three intruders cover the Svea Rigan guardsmen with their MP5A3s.

The guardsmen are thrown into confusion. "Hold your fire! one says-- but what will happen next they will only be able to remember as a blur. Suddenly, and with a great show of strength, the Governor hurls himself backward against the wall, crushing his rather significantly smaller captor between the wall and his body, then abruptly turns, drawing a pistol from his belt, and fires five shots directly into the man's chest. The guards are quick to react, raising their weapons again, but not quick enough. One of the intruders, a young man-- no more than 17 by the looks of him-- opens fire in panic at two of the guards, with uncannily deadly accuracy. The other guardsman is only wounded, while the Governor himself-- his backside exposed-- takes a shot that, while not fatal or even very dangerous, will mean he will not be able to sit down for a long time.

"Qi'hanlo!" one of the intruders calls loudly as he grabs the Governor, he and one of the others dragging the wounded man towards the window. They throw it open, and push Governor Ottoson out...

...Oh, crap, I'm going to break every bone in my body, the Governor thinks with striking clarity as he falls, but he does not, for he is caught, fireman-style, on a blanket held outstretched by five men. He is quickly deprived of his weapon and wrapped unceremoniously in another blanket, sealed up with duct tape, as the others descend in similar fashion, while others still are making their way out through various improvised routes.

When the men in the Governor's bedroom come to their senses, they find the scene around them nothing short of chaos. Several of them are wounded, two dead. And Governor John Ottoson is nowhere to be seen.

ooc: when you go through the wreckage, you'll find two of my guys dead-- one on the stairs, the other shot five times through the chest upstairs-- and one, on the ground floor, badly wounded but alive. All three are of Asiatic appearance, and none of them is carrying anything by means of identification. Two Rigan guardsmen are dead and a few others wounded.

Wrapped against the intense winds and murderous cold, Erin sat beside the flickering flames of the Dutch oven and listened to one of the Volunteers bicker with the new arrivals.

‘Spook.’

‘Hippy.’

‘Fascist.’

‘Anarchist.’

‘Blow me you tool.’

‘Or what, you’ll protest my behavior?’

They’d showed up early in the morning, well before the late winter sunrise in the Skandernan mountains, and had refused to say anything more than that they were there to help. The Volunteers had been arguing amongst themselves all night over what to do, and the conclusion seemed to be that these benefactors were from the EDWD in SeOCC and their motives couldn’t be trusted. The spooks, as the Volunteers called them, certainly looked the part; they all had the same simple, utilitarian haircut, wore matching sets of thin, black glassed goggles and topped off the ensemble with distinctly unmarked black parkas. They’d come unarmed and promised substantial military aid if the VA would agree to some of their terms. The terms were simple and, they said, non-negotiable: accept the weapons and the spooks would be allowed to pick the targets.

Erin took in all of this, notes transcribed on a digital tape recorder and a special notebook proofed against the dampness endemic to heating tents surrounded by snow, and hoped she would make it out alive to tell her story. Of course the MoI probably thought she was dead already but that wasn’t her concern; she was more worried about ending up in a Rigan prison than anything else.

‘Yeah, and nice job you guys did on those oil rigs,’ a dark haired spook jibed as the previously bickering Volunteer turned his back, ‘you did us a huge favor.’

‘Oh that’s fucking it.’ The Volunteer wheeled and launched himself at the spook, shoulder aimed for the man’s sternum. The blow missed, the spook sidestepped and grabbed the Volunteer’s arm, twisting it and his wrist into a contorted position god never intended arms to take. The spook, without making any real move at all, had the Volunteer’s face in the snow, grit teeth showing as he tried to stop himself from screaming.

‘Had enough, activist boy?’

‘Let him go.’ The speaker was a young Volunteer named Reggie, and he stood behind three Volunteers who had pulled out shotguns and aimed them at the spooks. ‘We’d rather save our ammo for targets worth the cost.’

The spook smirked and let go of the Volunteer’s arm with a flourish, walking away to a camp they spooks had pitched near the edge of the tree line the night before. The head spook, or the guy who’d been doing all the talking for the spooks, appeared beside Reggie and whispered something in his ear. Reggie’s eyebrows lifted in surprise and the spook leader pointed to a spot out in the air.

‘Just keep looking,’ she heard him say, ‘because you’ll never hear them coming.’

Erin followed his finger and stared at an empty gray patch of sky, expecting what she didn’t know. The black dot appeared as if from nothing, and got bigger a little each second. She turned just in time to see the head spook walk away, leaving the Volunteers to puzzle or wait, which she didn’t know. Reggie still looked surprised, everyone else looked nervous.

‘Hey, Reg,’ Erin called as she ran after the retreating Volunteer, ‘what’s going on?’

Reggie shrugged, brushed his nose with a gloved finger. ‘He says it’s a down payment.’

‘On what?’

‘Getting to use us as his hitmen.’

His voice told her not to push it and she didn’t, instead taking to staring and waiting, an activity suddenly very popular. The dots soon became blobs, the blobs soon helicopters, and soon she recognized the very familiar, ungainly outline of a Scarecrow. The spooks were in fact SeOCC EDWD.

‘Fucking hell,’ a Volunteer next to her whispered, ‘this is unreal.’

‘Fucking hell indeed,’ another responded. ‘Should we shoot them or something?’

The looks the Volunteer got were mixed, but it certainly said a lot that nobody put down their guns.

The Scarecrow, descending in a near silent low hum, touched down near the spook’s camp, launching snow into the air in all directions. By the time the Volunteers made it down hill the Scarecrow was in the air again, a stack of plastic crates left behind. The head spook was the only one visible, looking very pleased as he took off his goggles. ‘Consider it a sign of good faith.’

No one moved until Reggie showed, and the only started opening the crates when he gave them a nod. The first was full of .50 caliber ammunition, the next 10cm rockets, the next the .50 caliber gun, another a set of street sweeper shotguns, and still a set of rocket launchers. No one said a thing until Erin dared to ask the most obvious question, ‘And what are they supposed to do with all that?’

The spook smiled, dark brown eyes more than a little disconcerting, ‘I’m sure they’ll think of something.’

Volunteer Army Attacks Svea Riga Central Bank

Stockholm, Svea Riga. At 3:15 pm this afternoon the Central Back of Svea Riga (Svea Riga Centralbanken) was attacked by an unconfirmed number of members of, what is presumed to be, the Volunteer Army. Unconfirmed reports, from civilians and anonymous police sources, have described the attack as swift, brutal and carried out with military precision, earning the VA the latter half of its name. Government statements have declined to comment on any details, but have made public that the bank was completely destroyed, taking with it the second largest physical currency reserve in Svea Riga.

According to anonymous police sources, eight VA members entered the bank at roughly three o’clock, and made busy until shortly after 3:10, when they brandished weapons and began what appeared to be a standard robbery. At 3:15, however, a car bomb exploded across the street, taking the face off the building the bomb was detonated in front of. Police already on the way were joined by SÄPO and, shortly behind, the Stockholm Fire Department. The bank was cordoned off and gunfire was exchanged with the VA members inside the bank.

At 3:21 pm an unknown number of VA members, parked several blocks from the bank, opened fire on the police line with heavy weapons, including, reports indicate, rocket and grenade launchers. Two armored SUV’s then broke the police line, picked up the surviving VA members from the bank, and fled the scene, exchanging gun fire with the police in pursuit and, eventually, wrecking several police cars during the chase. The police pursuit ended when the VA entered a private airfield, whose airspace the police helicopters could not enter. It is unknown how many VA members escaped when they, it is presumed, met with an aircraft as a scheduled getaway.

It will not be known for several days, as the Rigan authorities sift through the wreckage of the bank, how many lives were lost and how much currency was lost, but analysts predict the result will seriously hinder the ability of the Rigan government to do business with foreign corporations. Worse, for the already beleaguered state, this attack is being hailed as a stunning success for anti-Rigan groups, and further attacks will undoubtedly be precipitated as the SFP and the VA continue to grow bolder.

Qiekhai!

The news of the destruction of the Svea Riga Centralbanken was greeted with cheers and celebration by the motley assortment of Xikuangese supporters of the SFP in their bunker-- a celebration enhanced by the presence of a further 36 amongst them, gradually filtered in over the last few days with the help of the VA. There was general cheering, shouts of 'Long Live Free Svea Riga!', accompanied by more general cheering; a few people popping open bottles of Sziuchuu-- a strong, rather sweet Xikuangese rice wine-- to share with their Rigan comrades. This was allowed to continue for a short while, before eventually the attention of the celebrating men and women was drawn by the insistent shouting and coffee-mug-banging surrounding 'Red' Tzian, who was accompanied by an experienced-looking SFP soldier. Gradually the bunker fell quiet.

Red spoke to the gathered assembly in English, little clusters of Xikuangese who did not understand forming around self-appointed translators as he spoke. "Comrades! The destruction of the Central Bank is a critical blow on our enemy, and one which is dearly deserving of celebration! But we must not forget that the Svea Rigan people are still in the grip of the oppressor, and with this attack, they will feel this grip ever tighter. Follwing this attack, the corrupt Rigan administration will step up security-- they may even impose martial law. We must exploit this momentary confusion and weakness to the fullest, with the greatest possible benefit to the people of Svea Riga."

There is a brief, eerily organised cheer of support; some of the Rigans find themselves shouting alone as their Xikuangese neighbours abruptly fall silent.

The Svea Rigan officer now speaks. "It is very likely that the government will begin to move the army into Stockholm, both to defend against further attacks and to terrorise and demoralise the people into blind acceptance of their regime. But we can cripple that, if we strike now. Army personnel will be transported into the Capital via underground trains. Our intelligence has indicated a fundamental weakness in the underground train system: a single point of failure in the computer system that runs it. Now, we don't ourselves have the ability to hack the system, but we can blow up the physical machine. It will take them some estimated twenty minutes to half an hour to get the backup online, which is all the time we need, if we're careful."

Red pipes up again, while the Rigan officer begins pinning up a series of A3 sheets, a printout schematic marked in red pen; the assembled people move in closer for a better look. "Disabling the computer will disrupt power supply and bring all operating trains to a halt. In some locations, the disruption of power supply will disrupt surveillance and electronic locking for service access shafts. We had thought that we might enter the tunnels here and here--" he points to a couple of access points on the schematic-- "while the power's down. We go in, lay timed charges, wreaking enough destruction that the tunnel's completely unusable. The Army's main route in is crippled."

"But that route's no go." the Rigan officer continues. "In the event of power failure, there's a mechanical failsafe that locks these tunnels. While we might be able to get through that, it would take time-- time we wouldn't have. However, there's an alternative way in."

Red points out a few smaller lines, the like of which criss-cross the schematic at various intervals. "These are drainage sewer lines. They were in place long before the underground access tunnels were put in place, and it seems to have been cost-efficient simply to let them intersect rather than redirect the sewers. It's a simple matter to get into those; it could be done unobserved from any number of surrounding locations."

"There's just one problem with them." the Rigan officer continues. "The sewer tunnels typically measure about so high by so wide." He indicates a space about two and a half feet by two and a half feet. "There's not to far to go, but even so, given the time limitations we're looking at, and the amount of equipment that would need to be moved, there's no way a grown adult could move so quickly down such a small tunnel. Not, in any case, the average grown Rigan adult."

"Which is where we come in." Red's smile is echoed by that of a fair few of his compatriots, and as the Rigans look around themselves, they quickly realise why.

Not a one of the Xikuangese is much over 150 centimetres high.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the families of those lost in the, frankly, terrrorist campaign of the Volunteer Army. The MSA has assured me their commitment to apprehending all VA members involved in crimes in foreign countries and I am confident they will not fail.

We wish to remind all nations that this is not a time for celebration; the VA has chosen to interfere in an internal political conflict, destabilizing a foreign government before all methods of peaceful legitimate reform were exhausted. SeOCC condemns these attacks and offers any support needed to the Svea Rigan government in order to return peace to their country. Specifically, the MFA has offered the use of four Tincture class vessels to help patrol the Rigan coast and prevent any further infiltration of Volunteer Army members into their country.

This is a troubled time in Aperin and now is not the time to let our oldest ally fall into chaos; we hope for a speedy and peaceful end to this conflict.

A nondescript building in outer Stockholm

"God, I hate night shifts in this place."

Jonas Bergman fidgeted uncomfortably in his chair, the Terminal window on the screen before him flashing its interminable litany of boring code, none of which was ever broken, all of which he had to check. "Hey, Erika." he said to a tall, striking blonde as she walked by his desk. "You going for coffee?"

"Yeah. Milk and two, isn't it?"

"Yup. Thanks."

"You know," she said, smiling as she received his mug (a chipped, ugly affair with 'Menelmacar Theme Park' emblazoned in cheerful lettering captioning a picture of a giant plastic Sirithil cuddling some startled-looking children), "you're really going to have to learn to get your own coffee one of these days."

"But you get it so much better." he said, playfully tossing a paper clip after her as she left for the coffee station, then resentfully turning back to the terminal. Now where was I. Boring, boring, boring... He had just found his place when the 'phone on his desk made him lose it again by ringing loudly. Irritably, he picked it up.

"Jonas Bergman, Stockholm transport datacentre 12."

"GET OUT OF THE BUILDING, NOW!" *click*.............................

"What the..." Jonas looked puzzledly at the receiver as if expecting it to explain itself. "What is it, Jonas?" called Kasper Lofvstedt from across the room. "I don't know. Some guy screaming down the line to get out of the building." Jonas replied. "He had kind of a funny accent..."

Kasper's face went pale. "Oh Jesus." he said, getting up so quickly that he upset a glass of some pink fizzy liquid into his keyboard. "Run for it! Everybody run!"

Panic ensued as the imperative spread like wildfire. "Shouldn't we call the--" "No time! You want to die? Run!"

People were tearing out of the building like startled sheep despite the armed guard's attempts to calm them when the headlights of an aged and unmarked armoured car came screeching around the corner. Accelerating to a most irresponsible speed in such a small street, some of the more observant among those watching might have noticed two shadows dive from the absent doors just before the vehicle crashed over the pavement and into the building, its mass and speed taking it straight through the wall.

BA-WHOOM!!!

An unobserved drainage grate, Stockholm outskirts

*beep*

"That's the signal. Go!"

In an instant, the grate, previously loosened, was up, and four figures who might in this darkness have been mistaken for Rigan children streaked out of the shadows and down. They knew that at another, similar grate, comrades of theirs would be doing the same. Eleven minutes later, they reappeared, wet, muddy, carrying significantly less stuff, and giving the thumbs up. "Nine and twenty-six." said the young woman at the head of the ragged party. "Let's scarper."

Nine minutes and twenty-six seconds later

BA-WHOOOOM!!!

Official Press Release

"Early this morning, a terrorist attack was conducted on a data centre in Stockholm. The staff at the centre are said to have been warned of the attack, and were able successfully to evacuate the building before an armoured car loaded with explosive was driven through the wall. Seventeen people were admitted to hospital with a range of injuries; one woman, Ms. Erika Kasperson, in critical condition.

Shortly thereafter there were two concurrent explosions in the underground train service tunnels leading into Stockholm. The extent of the damage is still being assessed, but it is estimated that reparations to the tunnels may take many years, and areas above them have been declared unstable.

The attacks have been blamed on the rogue SFP amidst concern at the escalation in their activity. "We must at all costs protect the people of Svea Riga from these vile terrorists." a government spokesperson announced. Numbers of police have been further increased in an effort to keep the peace.

International news: Knootoss parliament is yet again showing signs of severe instability..."

Extra broadcast from the SFP HQ in Stockholm

People of Svea Riga, long have our government been letting us live with the fact that the army was for protection of our glorious state, but today our vicious and cruel government declared war against the state itself. According to sources inside the Army High Council the prime minister Goran Persson today ordered Admiral Johan Petterson to regain control of the streets and the worst parts of Stockholm.

http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/zubr/images/zubr6.jpg

These images shows Svea Riga naval military vessels landing men and light equipment inside the harbor area, and the other one landing heavier tanks just outside the city limits.

http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/zubr/images/zubr5.jpg

Again the government hands us proof that they’re unable and unqualified to rule a nation without the help of the army/navy or air force to put the real power in Svea Riga in place.
Power to the people and down with the oppressive regime that’s held us back for so long.

And now over to other business, the bombing of the so called secret tunnel under Stockholm was a major setback for the government and we would like to extend our thanks to the people from VA and other nations within our reach that helped in the bombing.

And finally a message to Goran Persson, leave the post now and take your government with you, you will fall, and this is your last chance to get out of this without losing more than your face. You’ve lead this nation for more than 24 years, you’ve helped us in 2 wars against Skargarden and broken down the royalist uprising, for that we’re thankful, but NOW is the time to leave power.

In the national park outside Stockholm

Around 20-30 men sits around 2 fires and chats.
They're wearing military clothing but not of the Svea Rigan kind, similiar but not the same, they've rigged up a bunch of boxes and some of them are cleaning their rifles. A man stands up and the group goes silent.

"Friends, for 48 hours have we been inside the boarders in Svea Riga without any hostile contact, we will remain here about 6 hours more, we'll have to move fast when we've completed fase one of our mission. Target ETA is now 35 minutes move it and set up the luncher"

The men rise on their feet and begin to unpack the crates, soon they've set up what looks like a portal missile luncher (the heavy kind).

The men looks at the sky, except the one sitting manouvering the luncher.

"Here she comes"

A big transporter carrying the emblem of the Skargarden nation dominates the sky.
A flash from the luncher is seen from the plane, not long after the burning pieces of what's left from the plane falls towards the ground crashing into the houses.

SFP spokesman out on the streets in Stockholm

This is an emergency broadcast from the SFP out on the streets of Stockholm, since the latest caravan of policemen entered Stockholm with the support by several military units things have gone way out of hand.
With the recent attacks from VA and SFP the people themselves began to act on their own, going from more or less peaceful demonstrations to what is now a full scale riot.

http://members.ams.chello.nl/g.van.loon/amnesty/images/riot.jpg

Here showing pictures of one of the main streets where the riots main ‘battles’ have been located. Local gangs have formed up with each other creating battle groups with absolutely no control on what they’re doing.

http://www.thewiredpress.com/images/riots.jpg
Yes I know it says Laundry on the sign above the building!

Here they’ve throwed ’Molotov cocktails’ into a doctors clinic. The fire is no longer under control by the local fire department since they can’t reach the fire because of the many vehicles set on fire creating a barricade. A swift and brutal answer by these attacks is expected to come from the many military forces stationed in Stockholm within the next couple of hours.

The people of Svea Riga was never the target for our attacks, only our corrupt and evil government was supposed to take any harm, now our friends, comrades, co-workers have been harmed in the attacks. And a message to our government we did NOT shot down the illegal aircraft arriving from Skargarden carrying over 1 billion crowns worth of gold as a bribe to the government of Svea Riga.

Inside an abandon warehouse somewhere in the huge docks of Stock Holm

A man dressed in the SFP uniform stand before about 45 people known as the elite in SFP/VA (those who are left) and the freedom fighters from Xikuang, the air is tense as a tank drives by outside followed by footsteps from several soldiers.
”Dear friends and allies, we’ve come far in our struggle for freedom, and one of our main objectives have been carried out by our own enemy”
The people in the room looks at each other, no one had ever thought anything else than freedom to be there main target, and the tank outside just proved they’re not free.

”The man known as Goran Persson prime Minster of Svea Riga is no longer in power of the government, or any of their pitiful councils, my sources sent one last report before getting driven of by soldiers in black uniforms stating this is an emergency of grave importance and that ‘We’ll take it from now’, my friends even though the prime Minister doesn’t have any power any more is good for us, those who succeed him is even worse”

He turns on a TV at the end of the big table they’re sitting at.
”4 generals of the highest rank called The 4 riders of the Apocalypse are now in control of the power”

The screen shows a man with gray hair, around his 50’s wearing his green official coat of arms, his sight is empty.

This man ladies and gentlemen named Tim Tígnér on the picture he's just ordered the use of nuclear weapons on the Skargarden capitol, and the order to contact the Skargarden government to surrender or be annihilated for good !This is past tense, It's already happened! . Take a close look, he’s be all over the place tomorrow, he’s just been appointed protector of Stock Holm from terrorists and alike. From what we know now, things aren’t going to be easy for any ordinary people, the ‘little uprising’ will be smashed back with ‘flesh and steel’ as he so gently put it. And for us this will be a turn of the tide”

The TV changes image.
Showing a little younger man with brown hair, skinny and peal.

”And here’s his loyal follower, Victor Landstedt ordered the execution of 200 VA accused men and women. He’s not as used to this kind of power like the other three but he’s still a crucial enemy to us. What more can be said about this man, we don’t know much about him since he first now came up on the big scene, so let’s go forward then”

TV changes image.
A man wearing a navy uniform, in his late 60’s, gray hair and normal skin.

”Ahh yes, the real bad guy among the four, Richard Johansson, a real idealist and warmonger. Being in the military for ages I think he’s gone mad actually, being the main-man for the Guo Lengs in Svea Riga and have made several propositions to the military council over the last 15 years to force the government in Xikuang to accept the Guo Leng as their true rulers. Only reason he’s still active as a military figure is because no one dares to take him away, and the government always been able to turn his propositions down giving the old fool another couple of months to write up another suggestion. This man is a murder and a liar, having the responsibility and governing an entire nation is not what this man should do, and I hope we can do something about that in the near future. I guess you all have heard about those military forces offered to SeOCC for protection, well he’s redirecting them here, and that’s a lot of soldiers coming here, well enough about this man”

TV changes image again.
Showing a quite young man for being a general, around his early 40’s, blond hair and a stone face.

Celso Alberti my comrades, he’s something to unusual as a nazi in a so-called communistic government, he’s commander over the air force in Svea Riga, and already had substantial power when this hidden military coup took place, not much to say other than his favorite book is ‘Mein Kampf’ and he has a ‘Iron Fortress’ up in the northern mountains being almost an exact copy of Hitlers own one. He’s not as fierce or dangerous as the other three but still a threat to freedom. If there’s something I dislike more than corrupt government leaders it’s nazism in all its forms and colors. But why is he a rider of the apocalypse then you might ask. He’s been promised place as secretary of defense when the situation has calmed down, and a place in the high council making him one scary general”

He shuts of the TV and looks at the people sitting at the table, some looking bored, some professional, some scared… most are scared.
More scared than they've ever been before.

The Xikuangese known as 'Red' Tzian continued to stare at the screen after the television had been switched off, but it was clear he did not really see it. He spoke carefully, in clear, measured tones betraying no fear. "Comrades, this is a situation we cannot tolerate. In the hands of these... people... and I use the term reluctantly... the people of Svea Riga will suffer as they have never suffered before. And who knows what warmongering intentions they have for Skargarden? Comrades, we cannot allow this situation to persist. We must act."

A man sitting at the far edge of the table oppossing 'Red' Tzian.
"Act...my dear sir I've been fighting this revolution since they let me out of jail almost 25 years ago, last time anything like this happened we chose to act, many of my fellow comrades are not alive because we thought we could take on the world when something bad happens that we don't like. I say we stay low and we live."

"And let innocent men, women and children suffer and die? You've seen them shoot civilians in the streets, and that was before these demons took charge. What will befall those people now? Are we freedom fighters or aren't we? Shall we turn tail and run when the need to fight is greatest?"

"What good are we if we're dead?" He pauses.
"I've been one of those soldiers shooting civilans...Tzian, they don't like it better than we do now. But lets be realistic, already there's 50'000 soldiers here, and another 125'000 coming, how do you plan to fight them?"

"Obviously, we can't fight 50,000 soldiers... that, of course, would be suicide. We go to the top. We hit the Four Riders themselves."

"And what's your plan when they're dead, we'll have a prime Minster urging for 'purification' of the government, 'purification' of the people?"

There was general murmuring around the table, most people shocked at the audacity of Tzian's suggestion, but considering the possibilities...

"We have agents within the government and within the military sympathetic to our cause, do we not? Are there not generals sympathetic to us, afraid now, perhaps, to act, but with the Riders out of the way, can we not set them up in place? And who would the soldiers prefer to follow-- a brutal madman, or a human being of good moral standing? Who would you follow?"

The leader rose from his chair and spoke.
"Comrades comrades we WILL deal with these people in time, but let's not jump it, we still need a good plan and maybe it's the right thing to do right now stay low for some days, let the riots die out and then, *bang* in the chaos we will free Svea Riga from the evil oppressors!"

Mumblings in the room turned to murmurs of assent, and Tzian nodded sharply. This is what is needed: a plan, a good one, a tight one, and a decisive action that will eliminate the base of this evil regime and allow good men to take power, power they will use to free the people. It will not be easy, and the chances of survival are not guaranteed... but it is better to die fighting oppressors than to allow them to kill the minds, wills, and spirits of the millions they terrorise and exploit.

Outside, a bright moon shone low on the horizon, dust in the distant air scattering the light, giving a distinctly red hue to the gibbous orb. For some, the sight might have been unusual, eerie. For these, it was encouraging. A sign of hope.

To the leadership of Svea Riga;

It has come to my attention that you intend to execute 200 members of the Volunteer Army in the near future. Let me remind you that SeOCC has a specific extradition treaty that states Svea Riga will deport all SeOCC nationals arrested to SeOCC to stand trial. The execution of these SeOCC nationals would violate that treaty and jeapardize the close relations between our countries. I ask you honor our treaty and deport these criminals to stand trial in SeOCC.

Government forces rounds up Xikuangese people

!This is an illegal broadcast from SFP and should not be viewed by persons under 16 years!

Today at 6 pm the high council ordered the arrest and prosecution of every person with Xikuangese heritage to be arrested and taken to special prison-camps outside every major city in Svea Riga.

“The following ‘movie’ is recorded by one of the SFP officials working for the government propaganda channel having a small camera in his electric staff. He got killed by government troops when he tried to reach the place where he used to hand over his tapes. The troops were fought back and the tape brought to us.
We’ll now show you something horrible that shouldn’t even happen here”

The street is nearly empty, most people being in their homes, preparing for dinner, but a bunch of children of mixed ages can be seen playing an amicable game of improvised baseball in a grassy lot and an old man walks a dog at a slow pace down the street. The sounds of conversation in the lyrical Xikuangese language can be heard, and the distinctive aromas of their cooking rises from kitchens as the light of the setting sun glints off of west-facing windows.

Suddenly the calm is broken. The baseball stops, the conversations ends with 'look at that', windows facing the street closes.
On the main street leading into the quiet little street harboring a few hundred Xikuangese is filled with black clothed people having storm shields and electric staffs.

The children stop and stare, the little ones taking cover behind the bigger, and people stop in their work. Everything goes quiet, and watchful eyes are at every window, following the progression of solders. They are not curious: they are afraid. this is a scene most of them have witnessed before, under the occupation; a scene they had come here to flee. Recent events had bode ill, but none of them had dared to think it might come again to this... silently, they hoped they were wrong in fearing the worst, but could not help doing so.

The group dressed in black stopped in what could before be called a forum. They formed a triangle and let the inner part be hollow, a truck came a couple of seconds later carrying barbed wire and fences. They began to build a cage.

The children watched, baseball forgotten, until a woman wearing an apron and still carrying the large wooden spoon she had been using to stir soup scuttles furtively into the lot, gathering them up and herding them back to their houses, and the old man-- his eyes weak, not sure what he is seeing-- ducks into a doorway, where somebody quickly pulls him inside. Confused queries begin to rise, no more than whispers, and eventually one of the bolder men comes forward, approaching the soldiers, keeping a polite distance.

"Please pardon me, Officer, but may I ask what is happening?"

"Stop right there, Sir please return to your housing"
The man stops, immediately, but does not turn back.

"Sir, I want you to return to your home, this doesn't concern you!"

"I understand, Officer, but people are confused. If I perhaps could tell them something to allay their worries?"

"Since you so politely ask Sir, we’re building a ‘cage’ until enough transports have arrived"

The man tries to hide it, but he looks slightly alarmed, and his voice is unsteady. "O-oh. I see. Um... a cage for... er... what?

The officer closes in to the man standing some 50 cm from him.
"For you" The officer says will shuwing the electrical staff into the stomach of the man.
Blue sparks are visible, the man cries out sharply and falls to the ground, wracked by convulsions. A startled scream comes from a nearby house, and everywhere there are signs of increased activity: mothers are gathering their children, people are locking their doors, closing their shutters. Inside the houses, some are looking for something, anything, they can use as a weapon.

"Ok boys, don't hesitate to shot, don't show any mercy to the terrorist harboring foreigners, set your staffs on medium and your guns on non-lethal, and please try not to kill anyone, it leaves such a mess, a mess you'll have to clean up afterwards"
The soldiers pairs up and stands in 4 lines, there's about 400 soldiers there with more to come.
"Show time people, I want every house in the neighborhood cleared out and its inhabitants sent into 'The cage'.

Chaos erupts inside the houses. Some people hide, others gather their families and run for back doors, intending to escape through back alleys. Children are crying, their parents thrown into confusion. In the midst of it, some of the adults band together to challenge the soldiers. A large group of men and women, looking defiant, assemble to block the path of the marching soldiers. One man steps forward, shouting: "See here! We've done nothing wrong! What do you mean marching through here like this? We're law abiding Svea Rigans! I demand to know what this is all about"

"What the blazes are you talking about? We don't harbor terrorists! We're peaceful people! You can't arrest us for our ethnicity! We haven't done anything wrong!" In the group, shouts of "That's right!" and "Down with racist oppressors! can be heard amidst loud signs of assent and protest at the soldiers.

I'm sorry to say that we can and will arrest any ethnic minority in Svea Riga if it ends the horrible wave of terrorist that's sprung from you people. If it were up to me I'd shot you on the spot and never let you come into our society, you welfare-sucking scum!"
Now move before we have to do it for you!

The Xikuangese crowd has attracted followers, and there are now more than 50 people in the street, who begin to shout angrily. A short, strongly built man forces his way through the crowd and all but spits at the soldiers. "Who are you calling scum! I pay my taxes, the taxes that pay your salary! Why do you call us terrorists? There's been no 'wave of terrorism' from us! You're talking out your arse! You arrest us, you're no better than nazis! That's what you are!" "Yeah! Nazis! Down with nazi pig dogs!". The crowd shouts defiantly back at the soldiers and refuses to budge.

The officer reached for his radio.
"I need backup at sector 3 in area 1, fierce resistance from locals, refusing arrest and verbally attacking my soldiers, we fear that exchanging of fire might be done, please send backup ASAP"

"Hear that? They're calling for backup what do we do?" somebody asked. A fierce looking woman with wild hair answered. "We stand our ground. Let them arrest us if they like! They'll suffer for it when the Revolution comes! A cheer rises up from the people and they begin to chant: "LONG LIVE FREE SVEA RIGA!"

On the soldiers side there was silence. The officer raised his arm and gave the mark. Every soldier in the group raised their rifles.

A sudden panic shook some of the crowd and they began to fall back... only a few of them had head the word 'non-lethal'...

Some of the soldiers showed humanity when firing their rifles, some closing their eyes, others 'trying to give them a chance by firing at the torso area'.
But others fired directly at the head and throat hoping the poor people would suffocate or that they'd hit the eye and kill them.

Xikuangese citizens rounded up in Svea Riga

The normal ‘studio’ for the SFP broadcasts is showed, a man wearing a ski-mask sits behind a desk, on the wall is a Svea Riga flag somewhat burnt and torn apart

”Dear people of Svea Riga and Aperin, I thank you for your efforts and sacrifices that you’ve made for liberating us from our evil oppressors. But it is now I need you to really rise again, arm yourself, for now over 250’000 soldiers is occupying Stock Holm. The government have before declared war against terrorism, but are we who fight for a free Svea Riga terrorists, then what are they? And now they’ve declared war against the city itself!
We can not stand that, I beg you to rise again and again and again until we can rise no more. Let’s send a message to out evil government that we will not bend to your demands. I ask you this for our closest ally in the war against our own government have been captured. Our police force together with armed soldiers have rounded up more than 8’000 people with Xikuangese heritage in Stock Holm and god knows what will happen to those poor people”

A loud bang is heard…gunfire.
The man sitting behind the desk screams something ”Akta, de kommer”
He gets hit by several bullets and falls down on the desk. Soldiers wearing gas masks and the Svea Rigan emblem steps in front of the camera picks it up turns it around to capture something happening in the other end of the room. Showing a soldiers holding what seems to be the camera man around the chest and holding a pistol to his head. A man which seems to be the leader draws his hand over the throat, the soldier shot the camera man in the head.

The camera changes position again and now shows the soldier who carries it.
”LONG LIVE FREE SVEA RIGA” and the camera goes blank…

Scene: A warehouse bunker, a 'room' arranged by the contrivance of stacked crates, hastily erected pasteboard walls, a makeshift door consisting of half of a once-colourful shawl tacked in the open frame. Inside, a desk strewn with papers and prominently featuring a radio and a rather battered electric coffee machine is unoccupied, the light from the low-watt bulb dimly illuminating two figures at the other end of the room.

'Red' Tzian is seated on a folding cot, staring without focus at a spot in indeterminate space. He is clearly very upset, his jaw clenched, his brow furrowed. The other man, a young, but experienced, Rigan, offers him a cup of coffee, but Tzian does not seem to notice. His attention is focussed inward, on scenes he replays over and over: the wold haired woman falling, a rubber bullet ripping through her eye and into her brain. Solldiers kicking in doors and pulling children out of cupboards where their mothers have hidden them, tossing them roughly into the streets. People separated from their families, caged like animals destined for slaughter, transports packed so densely some are sure to be crushed by their own. A loyal Rigan freedom fighter, broadcasting his message, dead before his bullet-riddled body hits the desk. A gout of blood and brains from a man armed only with a camera.

"This is our fault." Tzian says, his voice low and half-choked. "It's my fault. They found our people in the casualties from the raid on Ottoson and they... they only assumed..."

"You couldn't have foreseen. These people aren't human. They don't think like human beings. They think like monsters. It's not your fault what they do."

"Damn them! Damn them to the worst kind of hell." Tzian spits, the contrast between the tone and the low volume at which he speaks somehow emphasising his content more than if he had shouted at the top of his lungs. "We will depose this regime. We will take Svea Riga back for the Svea Rigan people."

For the first time, he shifts his gaze, focusing fully on the eyes of the Rigan. "I will stand beside you and fight. I will not stop until I see your people free or until I die fighting for their freedom. This I vow to you. To all of you. In the name of your humanity, I vow it."

We call upon the Svea Rigan government to respect the principle of innocence until proven guilty. We likewise reiterate our request: if the Svea Rigan government feels that people of Xikuangese heritage are a threat to Svea Rigan national security, we would obviate that threat by receiving any and all Xikuangese-Rigan citizens, willingly or forcibly expatriated. Though not personally familiar with the Rigan criminal justice system, I do know that in the civilized world defendants are considered innocent until provent guilty. I also know that SeOCC takes our obligations to our CACE allies very seriously, and though our governments have long standing historic ties, we cannot condone your current trajectory.

We suggest a reciprocal extradition treaty be signed between Xikuang and Svea Riga similar to the one signed between SeOCC and Svea Riga, so that these Xikuang citizens may stand trial in their home, and be judged by a jury of their peers. Equally, we must have an answer as to the fate of the 200 VA members detained by your government; as per our treaty, we wish to have them deported to SeOCC where they will stand trial.

Though serious divisions and conflicts do exist within this situation, now is not the time to bring them to the fore. Given the increasing WBO/SATO presence in Aperin we must strive for unity until our common enemy is disspelled from our home.

Answer to SeOCC

No you aren't familiar with the Rigan criminal system, we're no different than any other civilised nation. But when it comes to terrorist crimes our laws are quite out of the ordinary, there are 3 levels (each with sub-levels which I won't take up here) of terrorism each with their own punishment.

Association with terrorist groups. (up to 10 years of imprisonment)
Planning terrorist acts. (between 15 and 50 years of jail)
Performing terrorist acts or caught before being able to do them (Execution, no exceptions)

The 200 VA members currently in custody with the Rigan police force have not yet been dealt with and it's unsure how guilty they are and we don't want to deport an innocent man.

Regarding the Xikuang issue: We would gladly have the guilty Xikuangese terrorists to have their imprisonment period served in Xikuang but they will be tried and judged in front of an military court here in Svea Riga.
But that will take some actions and at least promises from Xikuang that the men/women sent back home will never again handle out acts of terrorism against Svea Riga ever again.
People sentenced according to point number 2 will serve their sentence and then newer be able to go back to Svea Riga ever again.

Widespread Protests in Xikuang

Demonstrations across the nation in protest at the violent arrests of between four and five thousand Svea Rigans of Xikuangese heritage culminated in a march on the Svea Rigan Embassy in Lhijir. The demonstrations began early Sunday morning throughout the twelve provinces, with trains and coaches being organised by anti-racist and protest organisation groups bringing thousands of people to the nation's capital for the main march on Tuesday. Anti-racist chants and slogans were mixed with chants of 'Long Live Free Svea Riga' and banners expressing support for the Svea Rigan Freedom Party. The demonstration in Lhijir is estimated by organisers to have numbered as high as 80'000 people, though civilian police forces put the number closer to half that.

http://www.drnightshade.org.uk/images/xikuang/protest.jpg

The SFP recently released a digital broadcast showing more than 400 Svea Rigan military police descending upon the primarily Xikuangese-Rigan occupied Odengatan Street and surrounding areas in Stockholm, beating and firing upon citizens protesting arrest with rubber bullets, searching houses and turning out their occupants, men, women, children and the elderly alike, and rounding them up into a central 'cage' awaiting transport trucks which would be filled to suffocating capacity as the people would be transported to awaiting prison camps. It is estimated that over a hundred people were killed in the strike, and many more must have been injured.

The memory of similar treatment under the Guo Leng occupation is still fresh in the minds of many Xikuangese, some of whom will be amongst the Svea Rigan citizens now imprisoned. It is understandably a highly emotive subject for Xikuangese citizens, and feelings against the current Svea Rigan government, recently revealed to have covertly supported the Guo Leng occupation, are running very high.

"This latest atrocity is racism in its purest form." says T'hai Tshering, locality councillor for Xaitongmoing, Lhorong province. "But let's be clear: this is not just about race. This is about basic human rights. The current regime in Svea Riga murders its own citizens in the streets, besieges them in theor own cities, and terrorises them with indiscriminate police violence. Now is the time for us to speak against the regime, and for all Svea Rigan people. We want justice for the people-- not this violent and hate-fuelled dictatorship!"

The Xikuangese government has condemned the actions taken by the Svea Rigan military, but answers have not been satisfying. "We will not back down." says Dr. Xu, Chair of the Elected General Council of Xikuang. "We demand that the rights of civilians be respected." Evidence of terrorist activities connected to Xikuangese-Rigan communities has yet to be presented.

Dear ally SeOCC, the current SeOCC induviduals being members of the VA have been found guilty of planing and performing terrorist acts against nation Svea Riga. An Equally Unofficial Reply:

We appreciate the deportation of the vast majority of the VA members, and the MSA looks forward to having their fair crack at them. However, we object on the most strenuous terms to your holding of the five VA leaders; as you know, SeOCC has no death penalty and we are not prepared to allow our citizens to be executed. We are prepared to honor your court's guilty verdict and give them the harshest sentence under SeOCC law, which is indefinate sentencing, meaning they will not be released until we are satisfied they will not commit the same crime. Given the determination of the VA I think you will agree that will be quite some time.

Nuclear Silo Hamnaren in the northern peak of Svea Riga

The clear winter night was cold and silent. The buildings hosting 2500 soldiers were emptied. The major had gone crazy and ordered an march in the middle of the night. It was good for the men, many of them had relatives or close friends in Stock Holm or any other big city were the riots were going on.
The bunkers were left with an skeleton crew of 150 maintenance personnel and some 250 soldiers. Mostly sleeping dreaming away from the chaos and destructions that had become their every day life. Even though the ever lasting war against Skargarden was over the government refused to dismantle the silos “To prevent assaults upon Svea Rigan soil” they said. Well it sounded good back then, before the whole ‘we bomb our own harbors with naval artillery’ part came to action.

General Lofvstedt sat in his APC some 10 km from the silo – This was it, the blow that would make the government realize that their time was over. This silo wasn’t anymore special than the others, it hosted 25 nuclear missiles with different grades of blasting power. But it had one very special commando central there this night, they called it the ghost-bus since the people onboard didn’t exist anywhere but in that bus. It was the bus that was the target tonight not the bunker.

”All teams are go from HQ, proceed as planned. Go for the bus at all costs, bunker is second objective only. I repeat bunker is second objective only. Shoot to kill.

Some 20 groups with 25-75 men in each consisting of specially trained winter soldier runs down the hill towards the big concrete building.

General Lofvstedt fronts his CO draws a deep breath.
”ETA of retaliation after bus is secured?”
“I’d guess 12 minutes top”
“Well let’s move out of here now then”

(OOC: Due to my current need for sleep and food I had to shorten the post a little)

IC: The following then takes place.
1:The group take control of the bus securing the nuclear arsenal of SR
2:The government is alarmed of the situation but decides to hold

ooc: SR already knows about this, but it goes here to be official. after nightfall of tonight (whichever night that is) several things occur in SeOCC.

first, four Green Knight groups launched from an EDWD airbase. each group consists of two Green Knight Defenders, each armed with six Lance anti-ship missiles (of my own design, because i can), and one Green Knight Guardian. these groups were given specific orders; the first to hunt down the ships that bombarded Stolk Holm, the other three to seek and destroy Rigan naval ships still controlled by loyalist forces.

second, from a more northern airfield, eight Scarecrow 2's left for the Rigan countryside, carrying EDWD spooks, to sabotage Rigan infrastructure and give hardline access to Rigan networks.

third, devices installed in the Rigan Rubicon installations were activated, cutting the Rigans off from the network. while their installations still transmit data to the remainder of the network, their installations will not recieve any information from the network, nor will they show any contacts from their own detectors, only noise.

fourth, obviously, the EDWD is preparing to seize control of Rigan networks, and will do so as soon as the hostilities commence.

if you can't tell i'm not much for describing launches and all that, so there you go. happy hunting.

1800 Hours

Frederick's Island Naval Base

In the docks occupied by the Anhierarchi battlegroup, activity could be noted - activity that, to the trained observer's eye, indicated a battlegroup preparing to set sail.

Preparing for battle.

From the high vantage point of the Lythrum's bridge, Commodore Eldon surveys the scene with quiet satisfaction, noting the forklifts trundling to and fro in the blood-pall of the setting sun. Diminutive figures of soldiers move purposefully as well, bearing smaller crates and cases. All in all, the dock was abuzz with activity.

Inside the ships of the battlegroup, the boots of engineers, technicians and other assorted personnel clanked noisily on the grated metal walkways as they worked quickly and efficiently at their tasks. Slowly, yet increasing exponentially, the thrumming pulse of the mighty ships was commencing once again.

The three submarines had left some hours earlier, at the time of their proscribed patrol in international waters west of Frederick's Island. This time, however, they went east, close to the territorial waters of Svea Riga. They moved as silently as their systems would allow, the individual captains maintaining radio silence, deactivating active sonar. Even the crew spoke in hushed whispers, practically tip-toeing along the walkways.

SFP takes power in Stock Holm

With the military forces gone from Stock Holm and only the non-loyal and lowest soldiers were left, the SFP with their leader in the first line today stormed the Parliament and Council area. Negotiations between Lieutenant Larsson and spokesmen from SFP were going on even as the Parliament and Council area were stormed. Out of those 10’000 soldiers stationed in Stock Holm more than 4000 have been estimated to have joined SFP in the storming.

The police forces that occupies the Parliament surrendered immediately when they saw the SFP forces march forwards.

To avoid unnecessary spilling of blood and because we wanted to se a quick end to the occupation we decided already before the SFP came to surrender incase of an attack or hostile movement would occur towards us.

The spokesman from SFP congratulated the Chief for his wise decision and advices police government all over the nation to do the same.
He also sent out a message for every former council member to return or Stock Holm so an emergency meeting could be held and appoint the leader of SFP to a dictator with unlimited power for 3 months to deal with the “4 Riders of the Apocalypse”. After that the 3 parties within SFP will have 6 months to establish and then free elections for the first time in 16 years will be held. He didn’t go into what 3 parties existed yet but we at SFP newsmagazine have a feeling that they will all be better than the last government.

The former Prime Minister Goran Persson was not found in his room in the Parliament. It is rumored that he took a “loan” of 50 million dollars (since the outbreak of the revolution the Svea Rigan crown hasn’t been worth a thing) and have fled to the east towards Celdonia, but he’s supposed not to stay there long says former bodyguard Mikael Erixson.

The 2 current Rider loyal airbases have surrendered without hesitation and the commanders claimed that “They were only following orders”. The spokesman from SFP says that the commanders will be prosecuted together with other “Riders” loyal officers captured from now on.

Royal family arrested and charged for crimes against the nation

Today the first arrests of leaders that supported the old government began. First out was unexpected the Royal family that could be arrested in their country estate this morning. The palace guards were over manned and some small firefights were fought before the royal family could be comprehended.

The former royal family were sent to Stock Holm so that their punishment can be decided as quickly as the council were in full strength again.

92% of the General Council members have returned

This morning SFP went out with the news that as much as 92% of the General Council members had returned to their posts after weeks in imprisonment or on the run from the government.

Every council in Svea Riga disbanded - SFP granted absolute rights

The first issue the GC (General Council) took part of was the disbanding of every other council in the Parliament. Later on the GC also held a vote regarding the powers of SFP and the proposal to SFP dictatorship powers for 3 months passed with 340 votes to 9.
The first task SFP took care of was to disband the GC with the promise to build it up again from scratch when their 3 month period of absolute powers ended. The leader of SFP Carl-Magnus Rödin expressed his joy of the GC decision.

Skargarden refuses to acknowledge new government

”This SFP have not been elected by the people to lead Svea Riga, they are nothing but power hungry rebels that know nothing about politics and will drag the nation further down into failure”

New regarding Goran Persson and “4 Riders”

The group was last seen in the most eastern parts of Svea Riga.
A reward of 500 million crowns have been pointed out to the man who gives information about the group that leads to arrest.
SFP calls out for every nation willing to help in the search and prosecution of the group.

SFP also would like to thank for the support shown to them by several nations in Aperin

Given that the government of Svea Riga has returned and business can, hopefully, begin to proceed as normal, might we inquire as to the fate of the Volunteer Army members held by the former regime? We are hoping they can be returned to SeOCC and processed through our criminal justice system.

And speaking for the Ministers, we are not pleased with Skargarden's response to the new Rigan government. There is nothing to be gained by stymying the efforts to reform a nation only now emerging from the increasingly erratic and despotic rule of a few military autocrats, and certainly the return of a massive majority of elected officials shows instutional support as well as the popular support demostrated in the uprising.

Xikuangese Rigans Return Home

Shortly after the SFP stormed the House of Parliament and Council Chambers, meeting no resistance from a police force tired of carrying out the bloody orders of the crazed, power-mad former leadership and taking power, SFP leader Carl-Magnus Rödin ordered the prisons where ethnic Xikuangese Svea Rigans had been incarcerated. Thousands joyfully returned to their homes, and though many are mouning the loss of family and friends, many more still in shock, the prevailing mood is one of gratitude and hope.

"Bless Mr. Rödin, bless the SFP." says Joamha Löfvqvist, among the first to be taken prisoner by the military. "I feel like I've woken from a nightmare. Now it is over-- now people can walk around without fear. Long Live Free Svea Riga!" Mrs. Löfvqvist is now reunited with her family, who, like many other Xikuangese Rigans, were hidden and sheltered by Rigan households, in some cases complete strangers. "Throughout this trial, the Svea Rigan people have shown solidarity and good faith." says Tsesndubpa Cao, who was kept hidden in the basement of a family home. "They have come together to help one another-- and now the old order has been overthrown. Now we can all rebuild our lives, and our country."
