Lord Saruman returns from his barrow prison

28-09-2003, 11:07
Wormtongue, one of the many clones created by the Lord Saruman had escaped the unfortunate fates of the Dunlendings and the Uruks of Isengard. He had been busy on many diplomatic and official visits to many nations like the Miss NationStates Pagent where the Lady Morwen of Isengard had been participating in contest.
Before his departure, the Lord Saruman had given Wormtongue a book and his staff, a book containing ancient lore and knowledge and a staff that still contained some of the spirit of Saruman. And now upon the pinnacle of a mount Gundabad in the desolate north of Middle-Earth, the chantings echoed in the biting cold winds and the staff of Saruman glowed with the effects of power. Elven words long forgotten of an ancient tongue.
The words were carried south by the northern winds and the ground at Isengard shook as a song from the deeps replied to the echoes of Wormtongue.
The ground cracked and the Orthanc was partially, minutely exposed. A wisp of light and cloud seeped out of the crack and flew north over the misty mountains to the pinnacle of Gundabad. The cloud and light twisted and fluctuated in colours and hues and shapes that could be considered fair. And then he emerged, the Lord Saruman in physical form.
"Welcome back, my Lord Saruman." Hissed Wormtongue.
"Indeed!" Replied Saruman, his eyebrows raised for he was ecstatically pleased at his freedom from the Magiks of Tor Yvresse.

The fortress at Helm's Deep had been built high in the last few years. Many civilians lived there now, trading with both the orcs and elves... and using the surviving Dunlendings as slaves. The Roanians had grown complicit in this, and it came as a tremendous surprise when one of their sentries sped back, his ShadowFax speeder out of fuel. When his story was revealed, the business of the fortress ground to a halt...
28-09-2003, 11:18
"What should we do now, my Lord Saruman, this world is to dangerous for the likes of us, we are hunted by the Elves and Sauron alike." Spoke a worried Wormtongue.

"Patience, my good Worm. I have been thinking all this through during my internment in the Earth, I know what to do."

"What then!" Said Wormtongue, rather impatiently and with some alarm.

"For a time since the assualt by Lord Sauron Reborn, I began to extend my thoughts to other worlds, other places where we could gain influence and power. Afterwards in my barrow prison, I became aware of an uninhabited but fruitful world, a planet named Doruin. It is a forest world but has many large and active volcanoes that secrete an ash that cause the trees to multiply rapidly, it is here I have chosen to base myself."

"But how on earth do we get there!"

"My dear Worm, I would not mention this if I had not a method. That book contains the key, I shall open with tremendous power a gateway between our worlds, all my surviving Orc hosts can then pass through!"

And with those words he then steped up and with his staff he called forth a vortex, swirling and purple in hue. Lord Saruman and Wormtongue walked through, the Orcs followed. The portal closed.

Through the Palantir, the thoughts of Saruman were streaming outward in all directions, to all leaders.

People of the universe, I have returned, the Lord Saruman has returned to set the universe to rights. The Orthanc Alliance is dead, a failure it was for the majority of members failed to support it thoroughly. I have finally escaped those curs who overthrew me in Isengard and I hereby summon all allies who remain loyal to my side. Those would be the Vanyar and yet I shall accept other offers.
The power and friendship of Saruman cannot lightly be thrown aside.

Saruman the White, I see you have returned to our world, I welcome you, as you no doubt know, I served lady Sirithil nos Feanor failthfully, although she has returned the favor by imprisoning me. You may or may not know of my exsploits in Angbad, I was an assasin, I hunted the Balrog. If you free me from this prison, I will help you, as I once helped Menelmacar and Sirithil.

Saruman replied through his palantir

I told you as I told everyone, Lady Sirithil is an imperialist despot who USES people rather than works with them in a mutual relationship. I am willing to help you though I know not how. Any suggestions would be very welcome to the Lord Saruman.

Such an RP would require the cooperation of Menelmacar to roleplay the wardens. Thelas should telegram for this.
My idea is to open a small wormhole and send an agent in to rescue the prisoner, a better RP by my accounts.

Saruman, by now I have given up on ever getting a TG through to Menelmacar. Well I do know one way, although that would involve sending 10 TGs with the same message to her, and I would probably get deleted as a spamer!

Sirithil wandered the corridors of Fëanor Palace... this hallway was deserted, yet...

...of the universe, I have returned, the Lord Saruman...

She stopped, looked up. A voice? A long-dead, yet ever-familiar voice... It seemed to be coming from a side room... the great oaken door was ajar, and the Lady crept silently insde, perking up her ears to listen again.

...Alliance is dead, a failure it was...

The room was one full of great relics of the Menelmacari people... the voice emanated from the center of the room, where a silken cloth was draped over a pedestal, concealing a small round object... She crept forward again, her hand extended; she caught hold of the cloth and pulled it free, exposing the palantír.

She listened... she put her hand upon the Stone, and she Listened.

And another voice responded. One just as familiar, one just as hated, this one emanating from much closer by. Only a few hundred miles distant, from deep within the Omega Facility, Menelmacar's prison for the most heinous of criminals... so named because it is almost always the last thing its residents see.

Sirithil's eyes went wide... she took up the palantír from its resting place, and letting it rest in the crook of her arm, she hurried back to her office.

A portal opened inside the Omega facility, similar in through its purple hue and whirling shape to the one Saruman had escaped through to the realm of Doruin but it was far smaller.
One man came through, It was Saruman himself.
Two guards walking the hallway, noticed the vortex and the entity that passed through and tried to apprehend the shooter.
The opened fire but the shots stopped as if light had hit a mirror and bounced off in other directions. Then Saruman thrust forthe his staff and the guns burned with a searing heat that caused the guards much pain, they passed out.
"Foolish Menelmacari, cannot even stop and old man and his walking stick!"
He cast forth a spell. His form was dark, he seemed more like a shadow and he walked against the walls. He passed several guards drilling in the courtyard and passed into the main complex.
He walked through the facility, searching for the Thelasian leader. A pale and cold chill followed in his wake which broke the hearts of many of the Menelmacari guardsmen....

He walked through the facility, searching for the Thelasian leader. Saruman was almost invisible to the eyes of the Menelmacari guards, a pale and cold chill followed in his wake which broke the hearts of the garrison.

While Saruman was walking through the facility, something else was going on at Theallas cell, of course it was insulated against Magic, but what would help against a Traitor. A guard walked down the hallway, approaching the two guarding Theallas' cell, one of the guard spoke "Ahhh Thenari good, hey what!" the guard fired two shots from a silenced pistol, wounding the two others in the shoulder, and knocking them out. Thenari turned to Theallas "You better be telling the truth Robert, or I will personaly kill you." "Don't worry Thenari! Have I ever lead you astray, wait don't answer that"

As Theallas and Thenari (OOC: Thenari is one of Theallas' former friends, he decided to join the Moranhossen instead of becoming an assasin like Theallas, he is repaying an old debt)mwalked down the halway, Thenari broke off to call Sirithil by his radio, and Theallas continued to find Saruman. When he found him he kneeled his body tipped forward. "ahh Lord Saruman the White, my new master."

In the mean time Thenari called the guard commander. "Captain I must talk with Lady Sirithil it is of uptmost importance, it is about the traitor Theallas"

He thrust forth his staff and opened up the vortex, it was a tremendous strain on Saruman's power.
"Quickly! Go through!"
Thealas jumped into the wormhole, Saruman followed and the portal collapsed.
A note was left on the flaw, engraved with gold and imprinted into the finest paper.

My dear Lady Sirithil, you must forgive me for my rude intrusion upon your humble though slightly ugly and ornate home. Sorry I could not stay for tea and cake for I had business with Lord Thealas. Actualu Saruman, Theallas never stepped through the Portal

IC: as Saruman turned he heard the rustle of a cloak, he could feel Theallas about to run into the portal, but someting happend, Theallas at th last second diverted his course slamming into Saruman and knocking him to the ground, he was below Theallas, and Theallas' sword was pointed at Saruman's neck. The blade was not the fell-blade that he had wealded earlier when he dueld Sirithil, it was made of Mirithil, unlike the eariler, this blade shown with the pure white of uncorupted power, along the sides were not the foul runes of the toung of Angbad, but the pure tones of Sindarin.

He spoke, his voice lighter, and not as dark as it had been before he dueld Sirithil, "ahhh Saruman, for the infamous Saruman of Many Colors, for you to be attacked from behind. You will no doubt remember how I said that, I quote, I will serve you as I served Sirithil, end quote, well, guess what, I betrayed her to Morgoth, as I betray you to Sirithil no Feanor, Eternal Queen of Menelmacar, and my soverign. "You speak with a tongue more forked than mine ever was, how can Sirithil trust you. I am too dangerous to keep in prison, you deserve your sentance. I have done nothing to betray or hurt Sirithil but you have, at least my condemnations of her were made without my deceit, I have no secrets regarding that. As the blade heated the power of it was revealed, "Did you not remember Saruman, that your powers were vested in you by the Valar? And have you not forgotten thatthose very powers will only strengthen a blade infused with some of those powers" The blade began to glow with the Sindarin script, it's power fight that of Saruman, its' light increases with it's intencity, its' power seems to grow, was, the blade becomes hot, but it does not melt, the handel does not grow hot. "Saruman, this blade will not be affected by heat, it could be throw into the sun and would survive. It was forged to fight Balrog in the firey chasmams of Angbad, this blade was my first and most powerful blade, it was never corupted by either me or the powers of Angbad. The only one who corrupts it is Lady Sirithil no Feanor, and through my life, I wil serve an protect, no I wil not only serve her" he says this as he puts the tip of his blade at Sarumans neck. "But I will serve her purposes. You Saruman, are a threat to elven kind, you were a servant of Sauron, thus a servant of Morgoth. And you, left unchecked could be a great thrat to all that myself and Sirithil hold dear!" He decides to send something to the Lady herefl (This is in mindspeak) Lady Sirithil, what a pleasure to talk to you again, as I am sending this to you, I currently and fighting a quite enraged Saruman, who is trying to shatter my blade. I would forever be in your debt if you did two things for me. First of all, come down here and get Saruman before he slips away like the worm he is. Second of all, when this all oer, if you would like to look into my mind. I know that you could just force it (and probaably will during the trial) but to make it easier on you how about when this is over, you see why I have done what I have done

In the mean time, Thenari called the staff commander for the omega facility, "Commander, I need your help, you see there are two mages down here, one of them is Theallas and the other is a former Istari named Saruman. Now they are dueling after Theallas tricked Saruman into letting him go, now he is trying to arrest Saruman to be jugjed by Lady Sirithil. Can you tell the garrison commander to send some troops down here, and maybe inform Sirithil?"

Although it was as they predicted, like Melkor killing them was an impossibilty they always returned. if the fools who had gone to war with him had simply destroyed his kingdom and guarded the tower of Orthanc it would have been a more effective prison but instead they had lost sight of it, and so he had returned free.

The Council would see about ending that status someday, but for now they watched and waited, Runes twisting in the sir, as the Seers communicated with the Seers of the past and wove the next thread into their plans.

The portal opened on Doruin and out came the white snake, it arose as if to strike a hidden prey but it then started to sprout arms and and legs and a neck. Saruman was back in his old form.

Wormtongue Clone 304 approached the Portal nexus; literally two large 7 metre high pillars of volcanic rock with runes carved into the stone.

"My Lord! Welcome back! Where is Lord Thealas?" Cried Wormtongue, dismayed at the cuts and bruises on his master.

"Lord Thealas will not be visiting after all. Who ever thought that an Elf could be more treacherous than myself, at least my deeds to date have been for the greater good!"

"Yes, I never trusted the soveriegn of Thelas, but then what would you expect from modernised Elves?"

"Exactly! We must more cautious in our dealings. We can begin spreading and disseminating further anti-elven propaganda! They have given us wood to fuel the flames of mistrust."
Saruman's eyebrows lit up in anticipation at the malicious acts he could perform with the power of his voice and the words of his mind.

OOC: I can shout Godmod in so many diferent ways after reading that, in all I want to do is shout IGNORE. Let me point something out, Theallas is an assasin, not surprised by much, he has read about Saruman and his powers and would have been ready fo a shape shift. After Theallas saw that Saruman had shifted he would have chopped Saruman into so many pieces that, well you get the idea. bu can we please have a Forum Mod, a Game Mod, or an RP mod look into this?

Shrug, he won't rot I give you that, but I kinda need Theallas to at least capture him so that he can hand himover to Sirithil and from Sirithil fo Tor Yvresse, but after I hand him over to Sirithil I will back out of this RP

Good luck in rebuilding. I may come along and do it agin for the sheer fun..J/K!!!

Bull. You shot at MELKOR'S territory a little, & left the rest of it alone. If you had attempted to shoot up my territory (& I own the majority of it.), then you would have been ignored, as your attack assumed all sorts of shit about space forces & terrestrial defences.

Besides, considering that Isengard is basically being used as a giant mine, rather than a colony, your blasting the land only helped matters.

OOC:  Does no one else seem the Melkor "Wars" as becoming a little annoying and overdrawn now? Why don't both sides just quitly pass like ships in a fog bank? Otherwise it will become redundant, although it already is in a way.

[gee, does that mean I can level a colony of yours for no reason without fear of reprisal?]

OOC: Find them and you can, but I might do something about it later. I am just tired of seeing badly tactically RPed wars where the opposition is inept and deserves to be cruxified for their stupidty.

"I shall yield before the judgement of the Menelmacari, however they should be prepared for the consequences of their actions."
Saruman relaxed. Thealas's blade was still pointed toward his neck. Saruman was terrified of the runed sword.

OOC:whoa-kay! Whats the haps, man? Melkor's People came to colonize your land, I struck at them IC to send a message to the Imperium, At what do you mean you would ignore space-tech? You RP with Magic and elves, and orcs and such. There is more probablilty of Battlecruisers from starcraft destroying you from orbit, than Magical folk casting a spell on me. As such you clearly have no concept as to how this game works. I applaud your RP ability, however I suggest you think about what your going to ignore, when most people would ignore you based on principle, I accept the fresh Ideas that players bring to these forums, because it is all just a game, and I choose not to take it seriously to the point that it angers me, or attemt to anger others.

Just my humble opinion.

OOC: I've missed the bus with this one, but what the Hell...

I never said I'd ignore space tech. I said I'd ignore your attack on the grounds that it failed to take into account that there might have been a frickin' Ardan fleet parked in geosynch over Isengard. It also seemed to decide for itself that there were no terrestrial defences to speak of. & it declared damage. Spectacular damage.

Blah blah blah- As such you clearly have no concept as to how this game works.

The Hell? You seem to be the one making all the assumptions, not I. About magic, about what I was saying (admittedly that could have been a result of simple stupidity), about tech levels... Furthermore, you have a habit of autoing, which is, I believe, the second-biggest boo-boo you can make in RPing after performing another's actions for them.

[some assumed rubbish, a dash of ignorance...] -when most people would ignore you based on principle

You will note that I don't actually make use of spells & whatnot when I'm RPing a conflict with someone. Mordor's strength is based on science, just with a lot of smoke & mirrors thrown in to make the stuff look all archaic & evil. If I'm going to beat someone down I'll do it with a rifle butt, not a mystical ball of energy. If you'd bothered to think before you opened your mouth you'd realise this.

In conculsion, you don't know what you're talking about, & failed completely to understand my post.
