INTRODUCTION
Background: Omzian Democratic Federal Republic is a large island off southeast Pacific. Founded in 1963, Omzian Democratic Federal Republic features a strong oil and mining economy sector, although the commercial sector still thrives. Omzian Democratic Federal Republic continues to be a standing, peaceloving, and democratic nation among the world stage. Omzian Nation, even after the 1963 liberation, has also reformed to an one-party "democratic" socialist "union" state to a full multiparty, federal democratic state in the past 4 decades (1960-2000).

PEDOPHILE MAGNE SENTENCED TO DEATH
OSARIA (OTN) -- Today, the Osaria S.A. District Court has sentenced Magne Januak, the well-known convicted pedophile, child porn site operator, and prostitute ring organizer has been sentenced to death. Convicted of 7 counts of child rape, 7 counts of conducting sexual intercourse with a minor, 19 counts of conducting sexual activities with a minor, 2 counts of operating site with pronography of minor, 3 counts of operating pronography site without license, 2 counts of possessing child pronography, 2 counts of possessing pronography without a permit, 1 count of organizing an unlawful prostitution organization, 1 count of operating a child prostitution organization, and 2 counts of assualt, this 58 years old man has been sentenced to death, scheduled to be executed 2 days from today. His appeal has been turned down for the second time.

"Magne Januak, 58 years old Omzian citizen of Osaria S.A., convicted according to Omzian Civil Security Act and Omzian Child Security Act, is sentenced to death. All politicial freedom restricted, all excess civil rights limited, all property seized, and registered as status R on Omzian Law Enforcement Watchlist." The judge concluded, after a 12-0 vote by the jury to proceed with the death penalty.

Magne Januak is said to be the worst pedophile in Omzian history, and the fourth in receiving an immediate death penalty for organizing a child prostitution network.

OMZIAN MIDYEAR SCHOOL INSPECTIONS REVEALS IMPROVED STATE SINCE LAST YEAR

Osaria (OTN) -- The Omzian Ministry of Education has conducted its second country-wide school inspection report this week, showing a significant improvement in the quality of the system ever since the EDUCATION SYSTEM RENOVATION AND IMPROVEMENT bill is passed 2 years ago.

"We've seen a significant rise in students passing the midyear provincial exam, for example," one of the MoE officer said. "But that's just a small improvement. Through the use of new ways to educate and a reform in the [organization of] the school system, students has performed very well, and expressed their satisfaction."

JANUARA CORPORATION STOCK WORSENEDS AS GOVERNMENT CONDUCTS INVESTIGATION INTO THE RENOVA CASE

Kanze (OTN) -- The Januara Corporation, suffering from recent allegations and accusions of unfair competition and theft of intellectual properties from various companies, announced that its stock has fell throughout the month, with sales decreased significantly.

"These allegations are absolutely ridiculous," Januara Spokeswoman Jane Uanvan maintained her stance "Januara Corporation has never had the intention to even touch the source code [of KanzarmSoft LoranOS] and integrate it into our Doorstep 2005 operating system."

Januara Corporation is accused of the theft of the source codes of KanzarmSoft's LoranOS 10, 11, 12, and 15 operating system and Planuar's PlanUNIX server operating system, and other counts of unfair competition. The recent leak of the source code of LoranOS 12 Professional has only worsened the situation. The government is still investigating this case. If the allegations are true, the once-giant Januara Corporation may even be closed down by the government.

SPECIAL REPORT: REPORT OF UFO TRUE -- UFO SPOTTED NEAR AIRBASE BY RADAR AND VISUAL CONTACT AT LAST, INTERCEPTION FAILED

Growing reports has suggested an UFO sighting was established near an airbase at northwest Omz222 in last July or May, and recently the military administration has finally confirmed this clain.

At 8:20 PM, May 2 last year, near Shandoan AFB of Januara-Plana City of Bankar Province, Army air defence plus citizens has reported a "flying disc" travelling about 200 kph high in the air, with blue and red light flashing constantly. The witnesses has claimed that the light was "so bright that it made the sky looked like a rainy morning."

The air defence however, were puzzled. "The target was clearly on the radar screen, but we couldn't identify it. A lock was established, but somehow we kept losing lock. The target however, seemed like a 747 tanker, but the identification system told us that it is unknown, so we assumed that its a bogey. The target was travelling at about 300 kph, and at an altitude of just 12,000 feet."

With that, a pair of F/A-22C Raptor fighter jets has quickly scrambled a few minutes after teh reporting, with a full load of 2 AIM-9X Sidewinder and AIM-120N AMRAAM missiles -- something that are about to retire from the Omzian inventory. Ground controllers functioned this time, as search radars kept their tracking on the target. "The crews were simply suprised to hear this. they thought this is a late Aprils Fools joke. One even told me, 'you could kill me if there is really an object like this'. To me, it certainly ain't no enemy aircraft, but this case just suprised me." Lt. Col. Kanuan Loran-Hagarsvan, the squadron commander at the air force base, said.

After the F/A-22Cs took off however, the pilots quickly got a track and lock-on on the flying object. They were just 20 kilometers from the object, at an altitude of 18,000 ft. "Even we could see it with our bare eyes, as it was flashing red and blue like crazy" the lead, Major Janua Randarze reported. "But the radar didn't report any identification, simply a speed of 600 kph and at an altitude of about 17,000 feet. The ground controller too has reported the same data, and is instructing us to 'go and look'. Suprisingly, when we activated our IRST [an infrared sight], we couldn't even get a track. The ground controller continued to tell us to follow it, so I instructed my wingman to put on full throttle. We quickly fired our afterburners then, and kicked the speed to 2.3 Mach."

The wingman, Major Naran Janue, continued the report. "Suddenly, on my radar, the target has kicked its speed up to 1.9 Mach, and the altitude suddenly zipped to 24,000 feet and then 32,000 feet. It was all within 10 seconds. So we continued the full speed, and climbed. We were now within visual contact at 8km. The object almost looked like a huge cigar, with a black body and the size of twice of a 767 tanker. The lights simply were amazing: it almost looked like a Hollywood sci-fi movie. The ground controller instructed us to continue follow the orders, which is a rare occurance, and still confirmed it as a bogey. As we got close into 5km, the 'cigar' quickly did something weird."

Randarze continued. "It quickly fired light beams," he said with an awe. "Light beams. It was so bright that it could blind us if we were wearing NVGs [nightvision goggles]. The lights burnt on my retina as I blinked. Interestingly enough, the light stayd behind us, as we received no damage. With this being reported, the controller told us to continue intercepting the target but not to shoot it, simply escort it and prepare to shoot it. But nevertheless, I still got the lock, and prepared to fire the AIM-9. It beeped, but I kept myself from that desire to shoot. With that, somehow the object tried another approach. This time, firing something like a missile -- a beam of light with something like a rocket at the top. I quickly reported that while ejecting chaff and flares. I instantly fired the AIM-9. It should have impacted immediately.

But the missile fell suddenly. With that, the UFO suddenly kicked its speed to over Mach 3 to an altitude of 62,000 ft in just a few seconds, and it suddenly disappeared. Later, we lost track of it from our radars. the ground controller continued to report that they tracked it to over 80,000 feet at a speed of Mach 7, but we went back to the airfield."

The military administration is continuing the investigation, with a full official report coming up soon.

Warrant Officers: Warrant officers are highly skilled specialists, whom are drawn from the higher enlisted NCO ranks. Many of those are also assuming Officer in Charge positions, and they often have a higher expertise than even the senior NCOs. These officers, despite less power, authority, and responsibilities compared to actual commissioned officers, are still commissioned in the same way as "real" commissioned officers. Example of Warrant Officers include helicopter crews in the Omzian Army. There tends to be more roles for Warrant Officers in the Army, as the other services, including the Navy-influenced NIC, prefer to assign such jobs to junior commissioned officers.

Notes: The O-11 rank, unlike the equivalent in the American system, is common among the Army, Air Force, and Navy, as the O-11 personnel are often representives in the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the commanders of their respective services. The Marshall of the ODFR and OHDF is essentially the commander-in-chief of all Omzian forces, serving as a representive for the President (whom is more of a symbolic commander-in-chief specializing in the foreign relations aspect) and as the chief of the Ministry of National Defence. He/she would usually also have a presence in the political arena of the Omzian nation. Such military officer who achieves this rank is selected by the President and the Omzian Parliament.
