Trans-Solar Subway

In order to reduce the energy costs of long-distance travel, as well as reduce or eliminate distance-related communication time-delay, We have decided to begin researching and, if possible, constructing, what might be called a "Trans-solar Subway".

Our studies of the Jupiter/PSR-1257+12 wormhole have convinced Us that the construction of a stable Visser Polyhedron should be possible. Thus, in order to facilitate mobility between stars, We intend to use the current MT-spherical wormhole as a starting point for the construction of a Visser wormhole set.

The energy requirements for initial construction, however, make this impractical for intra-solar travel. Thus, We will be constucting Krasnikov corridors between Pluto/Charon, Jupiter, and Venus. This project, at least, we know is within our capabilities already.

Around Venus, a small ship left the Worldring, headed for the lagrange point behind Venus.

Powering up a single fusion engine as soon as it was a safe distance away, the robot ship began accelerating at a crushing rate towards Jupiter. As it passed the lagrange point, a warp generator on the back was powered up, and began to bend and compress space as the craft moved along its route. The ship switched off its fusion drive, and let the hybrid Krasnikov/Alcubierre-Broeck system take over, building a tunnel through space to Jupiter.

For which? We could certainly use help in reconstructing the Wormhole Gate, which was so tragically destroyed by... 'recent events'.

What is this "Venus" thing I keep hearing about? Is that that thing that haunts you in your sleep so you wake up to find out life is as pointless and these words I am typing right now?

We will aid you in reconstructing the 'Wormhole Gate' in whatever facility we can. I have instructed the Chief Enginner to compile a team of technicians, astrophysicists and astro-engineers to rendezvous at the site reconstruction will begin.
