Introduction
Background: Ancient New Genoa consisted of three main native tribes and one sprawling city-state: the Kallii (of the city-state Kallium - present day New Genoa), the Easterners (of the Eastern Tribes), the Westerners (of the Western Tribes), and the Lake Peoples (of the Lake Tribes). Eventually, Roman legionares arrived in New Genoa, seizing the Lake Tribes' lands (present day Lake Genoa) and portions of the Eastern Tribes' lands. Roma Nova (New Rome) was founded as an exact replica of the original, Colosseum and all. After the collapse of the Empire, life returned to a serene state of tribal rule (except for the highly-developed cities of Kallium and New Rome) until Italian explorers from Tuscany, Genoa, Venice, Milan, and Rome -- led by Alfonso Lombardi -- colonized the area and won a great battle against the Kallii. Eventually in the early 1700s, New Genoa was conquered by the Pacifican Empire, the largest empire to ever exist. Thus, the Empire of the Pacific's seven New Genoese colonies declared their independence from the mother country in 1867 after years of tyranny and unjust taxation and were recognized as the new nations of the Free Republic of New Genoa, the Kingdom of New San Marino, the Republic of New Rome, and the Federal State of Blaine following the Treaty of Pacifica in 1870. Soon after the formations of these nations, they united as the Free Republic of New Genoa on January 11, 1899, the same day the Constitution of New Genoa was completed. On May 1 of the same year, delegates from each nation ratified the Constitution and New Genoa was officially united. New Genoa has become known for its monumental victories against Communist insurgents in New Sardinia and against Powerful Armies' invasion of New Sardinian land. Supported by a red-hot economy, low inflation rates, and low unemployments rates, New Genoa has thrived and become known as one of the leaders of the free world.
