Our nation hopes to develop heavy lift rockets that we could export or use to place satellites\space station components in orbit for other countries, in order to increase our total national budget. We also hope to eventually have a shuttle program devoted strictly to research.

There is a quite real possibility of region wide war breaking out in the Reformed Alcardian States, and we have made raising a military capable of defending our homeland in the event of invasion our top priority. Being a small, new nation, we cannot afford to finance more than one major project at once, and the space program has been cut back drastically. Great Mateo cannot begin space research without leaving itself open to attack from foreign countries. Foreign aid from your nation would allow both the necessity and the desire to be met at once.

Total cost of developing heavy lift rockets is projected to cost $12 billion.

Although we do have a powerhouse economy, we are still a small nation, and cannot afford the billions it would take to begin research and production. The main reason for this is that most government profits go toward expanding our ever growing social safety net for the poor, building government housing, improving standards in schools, etc.
We hope to become a space fairing nation sooner than later, Sozyaray University has overflowing Astronomics and Astro-Physics departments. Space has captured the imaginations of our youth.

Our experts have estimated that from where we are now (no space program to speak of) 100 billion will get us into space, and probably on the moon for an initial run. The Valonian goverment would like to apply for aid to rebuild its infrastructure.

Following the declaration of indepedence, The Empire of Slutbum Wallah seized 96% of the merchant fleet.

Having almost no tankers, bulk carriers and container vessels available Valonia is in dire need of ships to support it's export of semi-precious metals.

If possible we will take any obsolete or outdated ships ( provided they adhere to international security standards) available instead of financial aid. Since we fear a large influx of foreign currency would destabilize our economy.

Tu-chi Lhukpa has been appointed to administer and over see these funds. The prinicipal has been invested in various solid, safe ways. Further donations will be made with the interest accrued. This should still ammount to a tidy 100 billion USD avaiable per RL day.
