Subject: Announcement - New recycling plant

Our goals of self-sufficiency are drawing closer with the introduction of the new TDP plant. This plant will be able to convert nearly all forms of waste (except nuclear) into usable products. For example, we can convert about 28 kilograms of plastic bottles into 6.3 kg of gas, 2.4 kg of carbon solids and 3.2 kg of water.

We are excited about this technology and our fellow research partners (the various R&D centers from our major conglomerates such as Hydra Oil) are ready to build much larger facilities to service the Kingdom.

At the moment, the technology is not available to other nations but after more TDP plants are constructed in the Kingdom to meet our own waste management needs, we hope to soon export the technology to fellow Klatchian members and then build said plants in other nations.

OOC: Based on Discover Magazine article “Anything into Oil” May 2003 Vol 24 No5. Sorry, no link.

As always, constructive criticism is welcome.

Very nice work. ((We too have something from discover magazine, I wish i could remember the name of the machine, but its a houshold device, no bigger than an old satellite receiver, that converts solar heat into electricity very efficiently, gaining enough power through 1 'dish,' really an array of mirrors, to power a house.))

"We congratulate the Vrakian scientists on this momentus achievement."

"This technology is very impressive. Concerning nuclear waste, our own treatment involves electron bombardment allowing us to tool it into a material with a short half-life, similar in form to depleted uranium, or extract all the radioactive elements into gases such as Xenon."

Scroll down to May 2003 and look for the article entitled "Anything into Oil."

If a 175-pound man fell into one end, he would come out the other end as 38 pounds of oil, 7 pounds of gas, and 7 pounds of minerals, as well as 123 pounds of sterilized water.

Subject: TDP plant construction

We are happy to announce that the initial pilot run went smoothly and that construction of multiple TDP plants have begun in our major cities. Remember that full licenses are still available for any nation within the Klatch. Limited licenses are available to UTP members and basic TDP plant construction is possible for other nations. Limited licenses may be granted on a case by case basis.

As well, our cultural indoctrination program is meeting some resistance from the more liberal groups but we should be able to crush them shortly.
