After recent actions the news has come, the Taidani Fleets have been sent to our ancient home world once again, we march towards Hiigara! --Fleet Admiral Tosstare
Today, three Tiadani fleets have been sent. The fleets are gong to reclaim Hiigara from rebels who have taken it over, these rebels, The United Hiigarans, have usurped our birthright to our home world. In accordance we are sending three fleets to reclaim the world that we once owned, no longer will we sit out on asteroids, no longer shall we live in hulls of steel, after 2,000 years the Taidani are going home.

Fleet composition:
1 Carrier
2 Heavy Cruisers
8 Destroyers
4 Missile Destroyers
20 Ion Array Frigates (yes those nasty non-build able things from the campaign, instead of 1 ion cannon, think 4))
10 support frigates
30 Frigates
2 recourse controllers
4 recourse collectors
(and a LOT of fighters, bombes, corvettes, and transports)

and I am sending 3 of these fleets, with the Mothership, and most of out resource gathering fleet

Note: along with the armada are about 2,000,000 troops and tanks, and I am still waiting to see what Thelas and Bajon bring in.
OOC: This is the war thread, Untied Hiigarans post fleet numbers and defences. This is REALLY far away, so if you do not have FTL drives, you can attack, Thelas or maybe Bajon, but I REALLY do not suggest it.

The Thelasian Empire stands by it's ally The Taidani Empire, in accordance wiith past negotiations we are sending 2 Thelas battlefleets, allong with 500,000 troops and 2 Gravship fleets, we hope that these rebels of the Unitied Hiigarans will fall before us!

The Bajoni Imperium, in response to a message from our allies, is sending its 1st Armada to rendevouz with the Thelas fleet. At the lead is the IBIS Sandrock. A second fleet of bulk transports will arrive soon after, with the ground forces.

OOC: Ion Array Frigates don't have four cannons, they have one. The arrays are retractable EM field generators which, like the annular confinement beams on Menelmacari plasma cannons, serve to improve the range and power of the beam beyond that of a standard ion cannon frigate. However, the rate of fire is slowed down. The four-gun ships you're thinking of are Kadeshi multi-beam frigates, which use helix bundles to keep the cannons within a compact space. They need them, because the ships are really small. They have to spin while firing, because the four cannons use pretty much all the output of the ship's power plant and without the stability imparted by the rotation, the vessel would gyrate wildly out of control while firing. Although, how you build them remains unexplained, considering the Kadeshi were annihilated to the last child in the course of the Exiles' return, and presumably the design of the MBF died with them. The Kadeshi would not have shared the design, because they really really don't like the Taiidan, and the Taiidan were scared shitless of the nebula the Kadeshi inhabited, and never went there. Furthermore, the Hiigarans and the Taiidani do NOT come from the same homeworld. They fought a war 4000 years ago, at the end of which the Hiigarans were exiled. The Taiidani turned the Hiigara system into a veritable fortress in the meantime, to prevent their return, but they did not come from Hiigara themselves.

OOC:Indeed they captured at least two,in the game.The Ghost Ship level.(I forget the name.Ask Siri.:wink:)Two MBF frigates were in its field of influence.Either way in Homeworld:Cataclysm,another version of the MBF was developed.Cristened the "Dervish".

OOC Yes I know that they have their own homeworld, what happend with this timeline is that the Kushan after destroying the emporers mothership went on a rampage, killing and maiming any Taidani Imperial citizens, they even attcked the Taidani homeworld, after the Taidani were defeted the Husan did what the Greeks did, they burned everything and killed or enslaved everyone. As a result, Karen Sjet (AKA Fleet Command) was horrified and helped a group of former Taiidani prisoners to escape onboard the Kushani Mothership.

IC: This has been delt with in the other thread, the Taidani Empire has withdrawn all claims to Hiigara, and now only claims there former homeworld, The Taidani Empire has appologized for the attack.

OOC: or course Thelas really just told the Taidan that the time when Melemacar is about to take over my ccountry is not the time to launch an attack, next time we have awar it wil be invite only, wih equal sides, I fear that if not, non-Homeworld aquaited people will jump in a slaughter me!)

AHHHHHHHH you just shatterd my entire ideals about what happend!! By the way, no the manuel actuay (well for the origonal at least) never mentions the Taidani homeworld, and I need to play the game again. (I have not played the game ina while so my memory is quite faulty, ohh well)

Well, that means that the Taidan will no RP a massive star empire, now ruled by Thelas (I control The Taidan as a member of the Thelas Star Empire)

The issue is being hotly debated in the New Diamond.It appears as if a small percent of the population would prefer war and destruction over prosperity and peace.

At this point it looks like we will not be doing a lot of shooting but instead a lot of negotiation

Eh what the hell it's old but it seams acording to the contuned story the Higares attacked the Taidany Homeworld befor the exile in fact they trashed the place good and killed there leader. So in responce the Bentuise mesed up the ship the Higares used. And the Tai seased that opturenty to take Higara.

I spelt it wrong because some one allready has a "Taiidan" As you probably found out.
