Craddock and the others arrive at the Mirror. The forces of Valinon stand at the ready. He surveys the Mirror.
"It is the same," mutters Alexei.
"Indeed," Craddock replies. He motions the armoury seargant and his men forward.
"Put the HAVOKs in position," the three-man tech team nod grimly.
Craddock turns to Keigo, "I would recommend setting the timers on the HAVOK no longer than three hours, and I would prefer less. But I would like to keep it less," he then activates his comm where one of the shuttle pilots has rigged a system so that Genesis and Witz can hear.
"I would also like your opinions," Craddock says.

Vacit listens with half an ear to Craddock's preparations. (OOC: Let us assume that Genesis can hear portions of this, but not all of it.)

I found the exact entrance of the Mirror, so if I feel something else, another intuition, it has to be important.

he then activates his comm where one of the shuttle pilots has rigged a system so that Genesis and Witz can hear.
"I would also like your opinions," Craddock says.
"Three hours seems good to me," Witz replied, staring at the new Mirror.

I don't like this. Something's wrong. Now that I'm in front of this thing, I'm not that sure Vaughn needs help... oh good god! Why do I always think he's up to something?!?

"Very well. Three hours," Craddock nods at the techs, they rush to comply.
"Once we are through the Mirror, activate the timer."

"And give me the override codes," Craddock says remember the last time they had done this. The techs nod.
Craddock turns to the Sardaukar, Protectors, and Keigo, "This simple rule applies to what we will see. Shoot first, and ask questions later. And don't trust anything you see unless Captain Trotsky, Director Vacit, or myself say otherwise."
"Yes, Sir Craddock!" comes the reply.
"Let us move," the Valinon warriors move to pass through the Mirror.

As soon as they passed the Mirror, they see two individuals: an incredibly beautiful woman with wings and an entirely red 3 meters high muscular male with 3 eyes and a pair of wings.

"I thought you would never come," Vaughn (in Rave's appearance) joked, looking at the group as if he was expecting Rave to be there.

Rave/Vaughn: Noname...go through the mirror....bring him back...*she said* I...I cannot go...*she looked at the ground*

Rave's lifeless body was beside her. She looked at it...She would have to be restored, and fast, before someone came to take her...not of this world, but of another.

We'll get to that later, Vaughn sent Rave, using all of her psionic power to hinder it from any other person. There is something we can do here... provided those fanatics from Valinon let us do it of course.

And they have a central leader..." he turned at Vacit and smiled at the myrmidon. "... which means their whole system can be eradicated quite easily."

"Well. The Grand Master is in the Citadel... as they call it. That's the center of their government as far as I know. It's probably the largest military base they have. Probably more than a thousand warriors... I don't know how many Vapors... err... Shadows, that's how you call those."

Yes. Azerzdat let me dive into his mind so that I could see what angels and archangels were capable of. But right now, what I really need is someone able to enter the Dark Path. The real danger is the Vapors.

Rave shifted as she saw the spires of the citadel. They were drawing near...so close. She wondered why Vaughn would want to destroy this place and risk not being able to return...Rave only had an hour and a half remaining...they had to work fast. As they approached, she looked at Vaughn. I will go into the dark path from here... she said softly.. Vaughn...make your wings useful and get atop a spire...see what you can find...no one will stop you.. *she ran her hands over the feathers of his black gloss wings, staring at at him the entire time, her eyes never leaving his. Rave traved through the dark path...gaining armor as she went. She only had one hour left. She sensed something behind her, and turned around quickly to face nothing. She HAD to find a way to get to the center of the citadel, and traveled quickly. She swore she could have felt eyes on her, but had no idea where the feeling was coming from.

O, this is a bump to end your lonelyness (and 'cause i wanna know how all this ends----> bookmark/cry for Underaloz)

Rave turned in circles. No one was there. Why couldn't she see the thing that was watching? She made her way into the citadel...looking toward the center...that was where she needed to be...that was the place she needed to infultrate. Memories of old espionage missions crossed her mind and drew a smile to her face. Suddenly, she felt something on her shoulder...

She turned around..to come face to..whatever the hell it was. And whatever the hell it was, was not something she was accustomed to. A creature of darkness, only to be weak to those of the light. She was not...however...in her own body. Like doth quit like, and she'd be forced to fight it with darkness. She backed up slightly at the creature...and began absorbing the shadows.

Rave brought around the sword of Shadows toward the creature...but it was faster than she thought. It slashed her back slightly. She wished she had her celestial powers...then this creature would run. A vapor? Is that what he had called it? She wasn't sure. The two wore on. Rave looked at it, and her eyes flicked slightly as she decapitated it. She took in a deep breath...there would be more of those...she must travel quickly.

She ran quickly toward the center. She couldn't let Vaughn handle this. She had but a half an hour left to complete her task and return, and as far as time went, she found it favorable, while statistics found it hopeless. She moved quickly. She was only there...a few more minutes...then, she felt the presence again..this time, stronger...

Vacit is seething, Vaughn, Shentavo, or whatever managed to slip past the Sovereign Protectors and Craddock's Sardauar. He tunrs to Sir Arthur.
"We must find her, or him."
"My men are trying, Director," Craddock growls.
"Then it is time to use other means," Vacit's eyes glaze over and he sends a message to the Myrmidon command ship. He sees Bayushi Shoju, brooding with some of his beloved shugenja through the eyes of another Myrmidion.
Bayushi, bring twenty of your best men and three shugenja. The Lady Shentavo managed to slip through our fingers, and we must make sure this threat is ended properly
Bayushi stiffens as the mental message enters his head.
Of course, Directorhis mind's voice dripping with sarcasm.
Vacit turns back to Craddock and the Protectors, "Continue your search! And move to secure the Mirror."

Bayushi Shoju has sealed himself in the hanger of the Myrmidon ship along with twenty of the remaining Scorpion samauri and three shugenja.
"Begin," he whispers in the tongue of the Scorpion to his shugenja. The shugenja bow and begin to move their lips in silent intonation. They throw thin sheets of rice paper to the floor and then they fly into the air. The rice paper bursts into flame, each revealing a different emblem. Then a rip appears, and rounds into a sphere. Bayushi watches as it seems to stablize.
"Let us move," Bayushi waits until ten of his men have moved through, and then he goes with two shugenja and five men. Finally the last shugenja and a the last five samauri come through, and then the rift closes.
"Find the one that's mind is Rave Shentavo," he says to his samauri. "We must stop her before she reaches the citadel."
Bayushi divides his men, into two groups of six, one shugenja and five samauri. He keeps the remaining ones with him. He pauses for a minute and the air around him seems to grow darker and then the darkness spreads out.
"That way," and the final party moves toward the path of Rave.

OOC: I don't know much about the vapors. If you wish, you can 'sense' Bayushi or not, wholly up to you.

Rave turned around quickly. Nothing. Just as there had been before. She quickend her pace to a spire. She just hoped that Vaughn was able to do some of the things that she had been. She had never fully comprended his power. He placed his hands on the spire and pulled himself up. He was scaling the spire...vertically. He reached the top and looked out over the center of the citadel. "Maybe I should pay them a visit..." he grinned slightly. Only twenty minutes left for her to get in...and out. He jumped off the spire toward the main constuction. He landed on his feet, though felt the vibration through his legs. He quickened his pace into a run. Bingo.. Vaughn said to himself softly as he reached the center of the citadel. He received a few glares...and whispers could be heard. While the appearance may be different, the presense of an angel could be sensed...but none knew it lay within his body, so he continued on...they were coming...and Rave/Vaughn only had twenty minutes left...

Vaughn:Yes. Azerzdat let me dive into his mind so that I could see what angels and archangels were capable of. But right now, what I really need is someone able to enter the Dark Path. The real danger is the Vapors.

OOC: Good Lord it has been so long. Umm......Craddock and the majority of them are with "Vaughn." Vacit and his men are trying to follow "Rave," and Bayushi Shoju is in now just generall making trouble and trying to extort the situation for all that it is worthy.

Rave saw through his eyes, and travelled on his feet. She emerged from the dark path, entering the center of the city. She was not known on what may challenge her...she slightly wished to have him to comfort her by her side. She had twenty minutes left. They must find a way to bring the citadel down. He scaled a spire, and looked down. If only he possessed flight. She needed more knowledge of his power...

At this exact time, 20 forms made of shadows appeared around Rave.

S--t! *I* would have seen them coming! Vaughn thought as he was already flying in Rave's direction.

Sh*t She said as the vapors closed in around her. What she would noramally do in this situation is use her light powers to counteract their dark...however, that was not her choice now. She would have to fight darkness with darkness. Immediatly she began forming Shadow armor as Vaughn had done such a long time ago. This was her third encounter with vapors...and she didn't particularly like them...but 20! She hoped to God Vauhgn had something hidden in him that she would be able to unlock in time. She stood defensive against them. While with Vaughn's body and powers...she had her knowledge of her style of fighting that may prove useful.

Rave's body was flying at the rescue of Rave's soul. Vaughn looked around as if some kind of sixth sense had dictated him to do so.

"Oh I see," He said with the melodious voice of his fiancée, only with a far more cynical tone. "It is a trap."

Vapors were getting out of all the walls of the Citadel. They were gathering.

There must be thousands of them, Vaughn thought to himself. Of course, they're so numerous they're not scared by an angel anymore.

He looked back at his own body animated by Rave.

I would have seen them. I would have sensed them at least. But Rave doesn't know my powers.

Falling down next to his fiancée, Vaughn sent a message while preparing to fight.

Azerzdat, if you're still out there, I could use some help.

There were already 50 vapors around Vaughn and Rave. And Vaughn knew that using the Dark Path to go away wasn't an option. It would be instant death.

And to think the most I fought at once is 4. And they almost killed me.

I don't think you realize what they're doing, Vaughn replied while using a chain of a dozen angelic and vampiric powers, blasting a dozen of the Vapors away. Look at the bodies: they're reshapping themselves already. We are in their world. We cannot kill them on this side of the Barrier.

Rave's body swinged in the air, constraining the Vapors around to step back, giving the two of them previous seconds to rest.

They only have one idea: kill their ennemy. And that ennemy is me. So they want to kill you.

He stopped for a second.

You cannot absorb them, you cannot kill them. And the more they touch you, the more feable you'll feel. There is only one solution... He looked up in the sky. Fly away.

She looked at him momentarily before swinging her blade to buy a few more precious seconds of time. The blade sliced through another, but they reformed.

The Vapors were gathering far too quickly. Suddenly, they all seemed to form a common shape. A gigantic wave of shadow was oscillating all around them.

"No!"

Vaughn grabbed Rave and used his angelic wings to jump out as fast as possible. Nearly immediatly after they had took off, the shadow exploded at the very place they were standing at.

Yeah... and I guess it'll follow us now, right?

Vaughn was right.

Yes you can... She said to him in his arms...or he said to her in her arms. Vaughn... She trailed off. SDhe analyzed every part of her strength...what gave her strength, and what took it away. What gave her strength was the presence of him, and only him. She looked at him as he made a desperate attempt to save both their lives. She kissed him softly. As she saw herself, she saw a slight tinge of fire ignited in her eyes. You can do this Vaughn...I know you can. Search within you...and within me...

In an incredibly fast move, he pushed her in the air on top of himself. Doing so, he started to fall down, right into the shadow.

Before understanding clearly what was going on, Rave felt arms catching her. Azerzdat smiled.

"Got you!"

"Huh?" She remarked at Azerdat. She looked back to Vaughn, whom was falling into the shadow, and squirmed, trying to get out of Azerdat's hold to help her beloved. "No!...I can't...I can't lose you again!" She yelled.

Michael.. Her heart skipped several beats. Michael?! She had lost sight of him. She trembled slightly, and looked to the demon whom was holding her. Numerous questions plagued her mind. A tear fell from her eye, and down deep, into the shadows.

"You know, this girl... err... you're boyfriend... he's got some temper," Azerzdat said, looking down at the mass of shadow with a horrified face. "No one would force me to get into that."

Vaughn couldn't be seen. Slowly, the shadow got back down, waving like dark water. Then Rave's tear touched it and it made like a hole in the vaporous form, until it reaches Vaughn, lying on the floor.

Never saw anything that weird, Azerzdat thought.

As soon as it touched Rave's body, the tear transformed into an incredibly powerful white light. Shadow disapeared so fast the air around Rave and Azerzdat pushed them a little upper in the sky. Then, the light grew stronger and blinded them.

"I hate angelic stuff," Azerzdat said. "It's always painful."

When the light faded away. Vaughn had disapeared.

"Vaughn!" She yelled searching for him. She jammed into Azerdat. "Let me go... I must find him...Vaughn.." Her words were jumbled in confusion and desperation. She squirmed, trying to break his grip. [
i]Vaughn...[/i] Another tear fell. Vaughn...please...I need you. I need you to hold me in your arms and tell me that every thing is going to be OK. That' we'll get through this together. I can't picture my life without you. I have given my body and soul to you...and they shall remain yours eternally. Love...all you need is love. Vaughn...don't give up on me...I will never give up on you....Michael... She called out to the nothingness. Her love for him was so strong, that her heart was lightned at the thought of him. She was ready to sacrifice everything and any thing for him at a moments notice.

Azerzdat maintained Rave, trying not to fly erratically.

"Wow! Wow! Wow! Keep cool! Keep cool! Kee..."

His voice stopped abruptedly. His eyes had turned entirely white and, now, Rave couldn't make him move by an inch.

A soft voice got off of the demon's mouth.

"He has been defying death for far too long. He always decided not to be eternal. It was his wish to die while fighting, to die while saving the one he loved. But your prayers have been heard, oh, Archangel, and the love that exists between the two of you will exist forever as its own production. Wait. Be confident. Your love will return, but your love is dead."

Azerzdat's eyes got back to normal, only incredibly frightened.

"What the Hell was that?"

"Vaughn..." Tears formed in her eyes. She couldn't hold it back. The tears rolled down his cheeks. "No..." his voice was as quite as a whisper. "I can't lose him...no...not again...I love you Vaughn..." She broke down, having no desire to continue. Yet something pulled her...something started within her heart. I will always keep searching for you Vaughn...always will I be here...waiting for you and no other...

Azerzdat went away from the Citadel.

"I don't know what's going on, but I have the feeling we'd better not stay around," he said to himself. "Too bad, I began to like this angel... err... this angel's boyfriend in an angel's body."

Rave looked at him helpless. "I came here...to this hell, to bring him back...to recall him to life. I will not leave, until that very objective is accomplished. I would spend eternity here if it meant seeing him again." He looked at Azerdat momentarily. "What am I going to do?" She asked him, as if he held all the answers that she needed. "There must be some way...but I can't restore one to life...not in this body..."

Azerzdat stared at her with a strange expression.

"Well, you know, I'm a demon. Not like I'm a big specialist in love affairs," he said with a surprisingly kind voice. "What is really intriguing me is this voice that spoke in my mouth. I hate it when someone uses my body."

He seemed to think intensely.

"So... from memory... He defied death. Didn't want to live forever. Wanted to fight and die for you. That part I get. I find it dumb, but I get the meaning. But what about this riddle of a second part? You know, the love that exists between the two of you will exist forever as its own production? Your love will return, but your love is dead?"

He looked at the Citadel then came back to Rave.

"Anyway, I doubt he would have done all that to have you staying here. I didn't spend that much time with him, but enough to know he would kick your butt out of here himself if he was al... if he could."

"I was never very good at riddles...well alright I was....just not these types. Our love...will exist forever. I gave him my heart and soul. One day...I knew. I knew I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life...What's mine is yours, what's yours is mine, I said to him. I wouldn't trade those moments spent with him for anything in the world.

A slight smile crossed his face. "Yes he would have, and I would have enjoyed it." She managed to laugh slightly, but it got caught in her throat.

A symbol of a heart with a sword through it, and two wings on the side. It was her symbol, one which she had given to him. She looked at it momentarily, then closed her eyes and tossed it where Vaughn once lay. I will always love you Vaughn...and nothing can change that.. She thought to herself. The chain hit the bottom. Genesis: I'm starting to get worried Witz...I really do hope that they are alright...*she looked at Witz' face with a slight concern.* God I hope everything is alright...

"Getting away from here?" Azerzdat asked with a sad voice. "If I knew how, you really think I wouldn't have tried to escape? I have no idea how. You see, when I learned there was an angel around here, I betrayed them. I knew they needed me to get rid of the angel... and I figured an angel would know how to get out of this f--king world!"

He sat down.

"Now, when I reach the angel, I discover she's a he, not really an angel *but* the guy knows a way out. Now I helped him... he had promised me to bring me out with him."

He looked deeply into Rave's eyes.

"Heh! What's his is yourse no? So is this promise. Get me out of here."

Witz rushed to Vaughn's body. Vaughn's eyes opened.

Rave broke into a panic. "I can't get back into his body," she said quickly. "I would be able to get out of here...with no trouble at all...but...I have no host to go to...except..."

Genesis looked at him in a panic. "Rave?" she asked. "What has happened to her?" She looked at the lifeless body of the angel next to Vaughns...so perfect were the two, as if they had been made for each other.

(ooc: when Rave searched inside Vaughn's soul, she had a discussion with someone inside. But it wasn't Vaughn. She didn't search further but when she passed the portal, her soul went to the world behind the Barrier, but the soul she had talked with, now awakened, staid inside Vaughn's body)

"Shershkas. Those that eat life, feeding from other's souls through their fluid of life. Those the lizard order have been fighting against for centuries."

"But I see I've been defeated. It's still unclear. I remember this male Shershka with pure black eyes. But... I can't remember anything else."

Genesis looked at him, slightly perplexed. Her mind focused not on the person who lay before her, but in the two people beyond the barrier. She had an idea. "I am a psion," she said to the man. "I can tell you're neither Vaughn nor Rave...one of the two would have been nice to see. I can extract you from this body however, as it is not yours."

Rave had settled down slightly, and was walking back with Azerdat by his side. "What do you think of this riddle... maybe I need a clear mind to figure this one else..."

"We are..." she looked at Witz. "I'm not even sure anymore..." She looked over the lifeless body of the angel, blade still in her chest. She beant over her and brushed a stand of hair from her face.

Witz put his hand on Gene's shoulder.

"We are together," he said to her with a intense look. "We are together, whatever happens."

He looked at the man, Vaughn without Vaughn in it.

"The man who owns this body trusted me and I trust this woman," he said. "You can let her do what she suggests. But you have to promise me you don't mean to hurt her."

The man looked around him then came back to Witz.

"I'm lost. From what I can tell, the Shershka who captured me is no more. I'm not even sure if the lizard order is still active. I have the feeling a lot of time has passed. One of the kind I used to hunt..." he looked at Gene. "... is proposing for help. And you ask me for a promise. From my point of view, it is me who would need some insurance."

Witz turned at Gene as if she was the only one able to solve the problem.

He put his hand onto his face.

"Anyway, that doesn't tell us how to get out of here."

OOC: I am a little confused, can someone tell me where Rave's body ran to? But meanwhile, Craddock is still with Rave in Vaughn's body and So are some of the Sovereign Protectors. But Vacit and six others have left. Oh, and Bayushi Shoju is still trying to track down Vaughn in Rave's body.

Rave's and Vaughn's body are in the real world. Rave's and Vaughn's souls are behind the Mirror with Craddock and the others. Rave's soul looks like Vaughn and Vaughn's soul looks like Rave. Vaughn and Rave decided to pay a visit to the Citadel. Unfortunatly, this was a trap. Vaughn managed to save Rave (thanks to the intervention of Azerzdat, the demon who had already helped him) but he fell. Rave had the tear. Once the tear touched Vaugh, it changed into a bright light that got rid of the shadows. A voice spoke to Rave through Azerzdat's mouth (but not his own voice of course). What was said is: "He has been defying death for far too long. He always decided not to be eternal. It was his wish to die while fighting, to die while saving the one he loved. But your prayers have been heard, oh, Archangel, and the love that exists between the two of you will exist forever as its own production. Wait. Be confident. Your love will return, but your love is dead."
Now Azerzdat and Rave went out of the citadel and they're heading back to Craddock I guess.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Vaughn's body came back to life but it seems to be inhabitated by another being. Seems like the being had been dormant for quite a long time inside of Vaughn and had been captured back in the days by what he calls a Shershka ("Shershkas. Those that eat life, feeding from other's souls through their fluid of life. Those the lizard order have been fighting against for centuries."). Gene is proposing to get the man's soul out of Vaughn's body.

Gene looked at Witz, comforted by his words. She looked at Vaughn's body, animated with another soul. "Don't worry...he won't hurt me." she said, confident. A slight tinge of fear was in her heart, but she did well to hide it.

"My love for him will never die...and as far as I know my love IS dead...but the production of it.. He left nothing behind...." She froze at that moment. She chuckled to herself. "For this to work, I need you to fully trust me. Just relax..let go of all that is around you. This may sting a bit..." She kneeled on the ground and placed her hands on the sides of his face, then passing one over his eyes to close them. Silence. Suddenly, a sensation was felt through his body. Almost like heat....then as if he were being stabbed. In a minute's time, the transfer was complete. Gene was taken back in a wave of pain as the man was transferred to her. She went into unconsciousness, but the man was left under control...

Rave looked at Azerdat. "I feel something...it's...as if something has changed. Come this way," she said shifting to her right. "I feel like something is pulling me."

Azerzdat followed Rave without discussing.

I wonder how we'll get out of here. I hope we'll pass through this energy field this Vaughn talked about. It's the only thing I need now to end my mutation.

Witz looked as Gene's and the man's bodies were falling on the floor.

What I hate with vampires is that you never know if the fainted or if they're dead... for real.

He stared at the two of them, clueless, perfectly aware that no sign would let him know if their souls were still on this world.

Then the ground trembled.

Noname grinned. He could feel the broken link slowly fading away.

"Vaughn ceased to exist," he murmured to himself. "And, somehow, the others know it."

All his thoughts were focussed on Witz.

I shouldn't have passed these gates. Let us hope this Genesis is able to handle such a situation.

Genesis stirred slightly, looking at the body. It was as if a new power was infused within her, and maybe she would be able to contact her sire. Rave...
Rave heard a slight voice. She looked at Azerdat, then shook her head. "I thought I heard something."

Now it was unmistakable. Genesis!...how the hell do I get out of here!
All I need you to do is to stay calm...very....very calm. Genesis, before allowing Rave to utter a word, sent an energy wave, lead towards Rave's path. Whomever the person was that had been enstalled inside of her...he was more than normal. It was as if her senses were heightened.
Rave jerked slightly at the pain in her heart. She looked at Azerdat. "I have a link." She paused for a moment. "I may be able to pull you out." She said after a while. "I have established a link between my soul and his body...though it grows dim...I may be able to maintain it if we leave now. You...are not a soul here. You are a physical demon....therefore, finding a body will not be one of your concerns. You...you must trust me." She held our her hand to him.
Gene looked at Witz. "I've reached her...however...I can not him.

"Oh well," Azerzdat said, taking Rave's hand. "If I stay here, I'll get executed anyway. Let's make this a good'ol'suicide."

He laughed.

Rave looked at Azerdat. "Thank you...for everything...." she said. Suddenly, a surge of pain was felt through out her body. She held on to Azerdat. Her strong will did not let go of him, as their sight faded into darkness and shadow. The pain stopped.
Rave's eyes fluttered to an open to see Gene standing over her. There was a presence about her...as if she were someone else. She looked at her body...it was Vaughn's. Her own lay next to her, knife still within. Her hand still clentched around something, though she couldn't bring her head up to see what it was.
Gene stepped back from Azerdat...she had seen him before...and he had seen her.

"We're in trouble again?" Azerzdat asked with an amused grin. "Damn, I hadn't had so much fun since... since... I can't even remember."

Witz looked at the thing. It was at least 10 meters high. All in a sudden, it had taken shape... out of the very matter of the cave. From deep inside Witz's mind, a voice resurfaced, Noname's voice: "...a spirit from the Earth...".
In a incredible burst, pain took control of his brain. he put his hands onto his temples.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhh."

Noname was completly static. Of course, he was not used to move much, but this time, it was as if he was completly static. Frozen.

"No more links, no more locks," he muttered to himself like an incantation.

Gene could feel the pain taking control of Witz's mind. She could... Nothing. Witz stopped yelling. Nothing. Wouldn't she have some of Rave's incredible will, she would probably have fainted. Witz was there, moving, alive... but he had no more spirit, no more soul she could reach.

The gigantic earth-made creature stepped forward.

Gene fell to the ground, the pain from Witz, entering her mind as well. The one that stood unaffected was Vaughn. He stood strong. His eyes burned with fires. At the sight of this creature, she held him responsible...for Vaughn. He looked up, unwaving, denying the pain that entered him. There was nothing left to live for if they would be apart for eternity. This was the one separating them. He looked up to the creature.


God Vaughn...I wish I had you by my side right now... she thought to herself. It was as if the sound of his name brought her comfort that was unexplainable by words.

Gene looked at Witz in horror. "Witz!?" She screamed, looking at him in an unexplainable amount of pain. She sensed nothing, not a soul...nothing. She glared at no name momentarily, before her attention was turned to the creature stepping forward.
She was the only one to stand against it. Though her psionics were strong, she wasn't sure if she would be able to take on this giagantic creature, but with the other soul inside of her, it made her stronger...but what if the other took control of her body at a critical point? Would she be able to regain control? She wished Rave were there...and Vaughn...and Witz...everyone who meant something to her were gone and she was left alone.
She stood strong against this creature, raising her hand to it. She would have to protect them whether she could or not. A purple energy was emitted from her hand, forming a sheild guarding everyone but her self. Her eyes flashed crimson...she was not going to let this one get away...she held him responisble for Witz' change.

"Jack," Witz whispered to himself, the name resurfacing into his mind though he had no clue what it could mean (OOC: The Witz Identity, of course).

It felt strange. He felt lighter. Everything around him seemed slower. He could almost hear mechanical sounds in his head. Sounds of locks being unlocked. Before his eyes, thousands of images were popping.

Isn't that what happens when you're about to die? Seeing all your life as in a frenetic movie.

Problem was he couldn't recognize any of these images.

He saw the energetic field around him. He followed the thin line that was connecting it to Gene. But when they had faced the Mirmidons, he hadn't been able to spot such a link.

He stared at her. As in a slow-motion video, he saw the change of color into her eyes. She was beautiful. She was Gene. He couldn't help to smile.

The ground trembled. He looked back at the creature.

I've never been so eager to see you, Vaughn, he thought.

But, already, his brain was projecting thousands of possibilities, thousands of tactics, thousands of moves he could make to avoid any possible attack from the creature. He was making hundreds of associations. He was actually evaluating all the options he had. He wasn't afraid.

Rave looked at Azerdat, hopeless. "I usually don't say this, I really feel like giving up. But I can't...I can't give up that chance and leave his memory behind...I'll find a way.." she muttered to herself.
"Heh! You don't have the reputation to give up that easily," Azerzdat said with a spark of admiration in the eye. "Your... boyfriend... he told me he already went out of here... he destroyed an artefact of great power to do so. Does that ring a bell?"

Rave's face went blank as he said that. "I had gone with him, to find this artifact. Met his ex-wife, she wasn't too happy. She killed him. I killed my self, reviving him, and he sent my soul back to his body before I could object, because I would. He knew that I would and it would be a stuggle between us on whom to go back. He knew me too well," she said with a smile, her face slightly flushed. "This artifact was a blade...a blade that happens to be in my body right now. However, it is on the other side of the barrier...I don't know how I'd ever be able to get to it, to destroy it..."

Gene let out a cry as the arm came crashing down into the earth, she leapt into the air just as it was above her avoiding the attack. For one of the few times in her life she felt fear. She had no weapon that would be quick enough, and it took time to prepare powerful enough attacks to knock a creature of this proportion down. It was just too big and too fast.

Next to Vaughn's body lay Ravelyns. Her head tilted slightly to the side. The soft locks falling in gentle waves on the ground. She looked so peaceful. The sword was through her chest, unmoved and untouched.

Waiting for the things to happen. Oh, this tension!

"Strange," Azerzdat said with a surprised look. "He didn't tell me about any knife or ex. Haha! The guy sure had his secrets!"

He laughed out loud.

"Nah, he told me about an energetic cube somewhere in ruins. In these corridors the vapors used... if you see what I mean."

In an incredibly fast move, Witz took the sword out of Rave's dead body. A ray of light passed onto the blade, echoed by something similar into Witz's eyes. He had a smile like Gene had never seen on his face.

The creature stepped back, apparently surprised by Witz attitude.

"Goolman dan?" the earth-made creature asked with a gutural voice.
"Whatever you say," Witz replied. "You shouldn't have targetted the girl."

Witz took a swordsman position. It seemed natural to him. The creature stood still as if it didn't know what to do.

Genesis was surely suprised at Witz' actions. She had always been on the offensive protecting him...but now the tables had turned. She looked at him, and the sheild lifted from around him. She wasn't able to sustain it for that long due to previous energy drain, however, somehow it seemed as if it were the right thing to do. She looked at Witz, speechless. She had her full confidence in him, and she had no idea what to expect.

"He did have his secrets...he kept some from me for quite a while, but it's strange, I wasn't upset at all. Quite intrigued really. I must find some way..." She paused for a moment, looking back at Azerdat. "Energetic cube?" she asked. "Interesting...did he give you any more information? IF I enter the dark path it's sure to be suicide. You said it yourself that he wouldn't want me to go back in there..."

Azerzdat smiled at Rave.

"Hehe... that's all I know, really. Ruins, cube in the myst. The next person who tells me demons are weird gets my hand in his face."

He laughed again.

The creature stepped backward again.

"Yes, it seems more appropriate," Witz muttered.
"Larinityan colmdan latera," the guttural voice pronounced
"Yes, see you next time," Witz replied with such confidence even Rave would have been impressed.

In a matter of seconds, the creature melted into the cave and disapeared.

Rave looked at Azerdat. "Right then," she said with a sigh, regaining her normal flare and her sense of danger. A smile crossed her...his face. She had regained her normal confidence, and looked at Azerdat. "Decisions, decisions...shall I enter the dark path?"

Rave looked at Azerdat. She had always been one to take things into her own hands and not depend on others, but lately, it had been the case. She nodded slowely. "I'm still not sure how do get out of here...God I wish I knew more about....well, about myself."

Witz looked at Gene. He didn't say a word. He put his head onto her chest. She could hear him breathing with difficulty.

"Peter... Peter Larks... I am Peter Larks," Witz said. "And if I know my name, then it's because my mind has been unlocked... only Yakori could have done that and... the deal was he would do so if something happened to Vaughn."

"What could of happened to him?" She asked, now getting slightly panicked. She looked at Witz, and her tone calmed down. "I don't care who you are..." she said softly. "Just as long as your the man I fell in love with."

"If Vaughn is really gone, I highly doubt that..." she said softly. She wrapped her arms around him, pressing her cheek to his shoulder. She remained like that for quite some time.

Yakori took Craddock by the arm.

"We gotta seek for Ms.Shentavo," he said to the ambassador. "She needs you help."

No letting Craddock a chance to answer, he grabbed him and disapeared.

Azerzdat jumped.

"What the..."

Noname and Craddock had appeared right before Rave and the demon.

Rave jumped back, she was speechless. She cursed in suprise as the two appeared. It was easy to see that she had been crying, though the tears had long since left her eyes, and been held within her heart. She looked to Azerdat, and then to them, speechless.

Another year filling reports, Craddock thought, as surprised as Rave and Azerzdat.

Yakori was smiling as if he had made the best of jokes.

"Care to take us out of here?" he asked Rave.

"Get you out of here?" she asked, and shook her head. "Why does everyone think that I know how to get out of here? Vaughn...and...some energetic cube...and....something about production lasting forever...God I'm so confused." Vaughn's recent disappearance had finally shown it's effect. She shook slightly, more a shiver of trepidation then one of cold. "I was hoping you would know how I can get out of here...with Azerdat as well..."

"Energetic cube?" Craddock muttered. "That... that reminds me of the ruins... when we got out the first time."

"Where are these ruins?" She asked, regaining some stability.

"I have no clue," Craddock answered. "What had Mr.Vaughn said again? Oh yes... the ruins were supposed to be some kind of control room for the gateway... maybe... maybe there is a separate control room for each gateway."

Suddenly, he looked around him.

"Where is Mr.Vaughn? I don't see him."

She couldn't speak. Her eyes told Craddock everything. She couldn't speak at all. He's...He's... She couldn't bring herself to say it. We have to get to those ruins...

"No," Craddock muttered to himself. "It can't be."

He stood silent for several seconds, slowing regaining his composure.

"All right then, let's find if there are ruins near the point where we entered this Hell."

Rave looked to Azerdat for reassurance, but found none. She looked at the others, and followed. I have no idea where I am going...yet I'm going... If I hadn't entered the portal, would he still be alive?

I seriously doubt it, Azerzdat answered into her mind.

She looked at him with a half hearted smile. She missed him so much...but now was not the time. She had to be strong...everything that has been lost, has a way of being found...even when chances are one in a billion. She would never give up hope.

Azerzdat smiled.

Good, good, he thought. Here's the archangel I've heard about.

Craddock lead them to the group from Valinon. They were all in a defensive position.

"That wasn't very intelligent," Craddock told Yakori.

But Yakori was back into his Noname attitude.

"What?" she asked softly, taking her own defense position while still walking. I could really use something to take out this rage on... she thought to herself. Great, now I sound like my son.

OOC Umm, Craddock seems to be RPed just fine. Vacit is out there, exploring with six Sovereign Protectors, but I think now I will explore with Bayushi Shoju some more.

Bayushi looks toward the trio of shugenja concentrating and chanting in the oldest tongues of the now dead Dominion. A series of fine-cut crystals circles them, each glowing with a different shade of light. A group of 24 Scorpion Samuari wait in a circle around them.
Bayushi has realized that to track physical bodies is not enough, it is the one called Shentavo who he is interested in, and the shugenja will track her very life force to find her. Suddenly the chanting stops and three of the crystals grow brighter then come to point ends in a single direction.
"We have her, My Lord Daimyo," the lead shugenja says to Bayushi in an aged wrecked voice.
"Go," he says facing his warriors. They all bow and begin to move rapidly in the direction indicated.
"You, come with me," he says to the shugenja.
"As the Divine Master wishes it," they say in eerie unison. Bayushi begins to move with an almost slow confidence as his men dart over the rocky landscape toward the unsuspecting Rave.
How long before you sense them, I wonder he thinks to himself.

"I sense something," she said softly. She paused for a moment, but figuring it was nothing she continued. Her old demeanor returned, confident, precise, and clever. She needed a way to get out of here, and she must set her mind focused, for if she let's her guard down for one moment, she may have a break down.

"Yes, I sensed something too," Azerzdat simply stated as if it didn't have any kind of importance.
"So have I," Yakori added. "And I know who this is."

Rave arched her...erm... his eyebrow and looked at Yakori. "Something you wish to share?" She asked, gaining her intergrity in full in just that one sentence.She did not like things being kept for her, especially if lives were on the line, and as far as she was conerned, there was.

"Does the name Bayushi rings a bell?" Yakori answered with a sarcastic smile.

"Bayushi?" she asks, then with a heavy sigh, continues. "Yes, yes, unfortunately it does. He's following, isn't he...but he's not alone."

On top of a rock their is a brief moment of movement, a figure dressed in black, but it quickly disappears again. The Sardaukar and Protectors keeping close to the other members notices the movement as well, but it is gone as soon as it appears. It is like shadows that have gained some form of self-momentum, inconsequential wraiths seeming to gnaw and prey upon old race memories in the minds of men.
Suddenly an echoing call shatters through Rave's mind Our people are not so different, Lady Shentavo, but tell me why do you associate yourselves with the likes of these people? Beware, or you may find your own soul damned to the binds that the Emperor of Valinon believes he has on us. Tell me, do you have full faith in the......necessary skills of your companions?

Yakori drew his sword out.

"Whatever you do, Bayushi is mine," he said.

She paused for a moment. Her answer was perfectly clear to her. She flicked her eyes up at them defiantly, and the old flare returning in his eyes, the passion within her soul. "I have full faith in my love. I have full faith in myself." He always had full faith in me...It's time I return it to him.

"Could any of you guys fill me in," Azerzdat muttered with a grin. "I'm a little lost here."

Rave laughed. "I here voices," she remarked to him in a humorous tone. "And they really don't like Bayushi and his men." She was extremely confused at the moment, but if there was to be an attack, she was ready.

Then let us see if your fate is correctly placed, shall we? and then the brief contact is gone.
As rapidly as the shadow movement appeared and disappeared it appears again. This time the wraith-like figures do not go away. Instead, roughly encircling the party twelve figures dressed in plain black and bearing only the mark of a stylized Scorpion on armbands appears. Each wields a katana that looks vaguely Japanese, but appears to have been made by a civilization a good deal more advanced. Near the top of the "circle" an eerie blue light shines forth and when it has cleared an old man dressed in formal robes of the long-bygone Dominion of Outer Centauri stands. His hands are clasphed with the two index fingers closest to his chest and his thumbds steepled.
He speaks in a quiet voice that seems to be carried by some other worldy forced, "You know the orders of Our Lord, carry them out."
Six of the twelve men draw their swords, the other half have their hands near the hilts. The six with drawn swords move to attack, moving with a quiet and eerie grace.

Azerzdat made his bones crack in a little movement of his back.

"Sounds good to me," he said before laughing out loud.

Bone akiedo...extremely helpful to me in this situation. Vaughn has something within him, I know he does. I can feel it. I just have to find out how to unlock it. Rave was already ready, katanas, though quick and often precise, could be an advantage to her. She stared at them, then looked to Azerdat briefly. She looked at the figures encircling them. "You will not be victorious...I can guarentee that. You have toyed with the wrong person." There was a quickening in her eye as she stared down, noting each position and possible attacks.

OOC: Ok, I'll put a couple here, say four? And the rest will be with Craddock.

If the Scorpions had any reaction to Rave's words they did not show it. Instead the first six move rapidly to engage their opponents. It is apparent from their stance and from their better positions that they are of a high caliber than what was encountered in the halls of the Valinon embassy. The other six warriors and the single old shugenja stands silently and patiently, waiting to see how the first combatants fair.
From the Sardaukar with Rave a sense of fear is very palatable. The Outer Dominion Wars were not the long ago, and among the Seven Great Clans the Scorpions were perhaps the most feared. None that have survived have forgotten their ruthlessness nor their uncaring attitude toward losses. And too many Sardaukar have become aware of what happened to the few who were taken prisoner by Bayushi's warriors. The horrors that came afterward are something that made even the staunchiest of officers and the most hardened of privates squirm.
One of the Sardaukar tenses preparing to fire and rally against his fears, only to have that fear relieved eternally as a knife pierces a weakpoint in his armor and cuts the life giving well of his juglar. Blood colors his torso and then he drops to the ground.

OOC: Such a shame, all the Sardaukar that are here will have to die at some point.

(ooc: where is bayushi? I'm sure Noname would like to talk to him :P )

OOC: In his typical fashion, Bayushi is sending in others first. He knows they will die, and then he will come based on that. After all there is still a whole group of samuari and two shugenjas left. He's just bidding his time.

"Alright boys," she said cracking her fingers. Fire burned within her, though not from her attackers. They would only be an outlet for her. The fire had rekindled, and it would not be extinguished. Not this time. "Who's first?" She watched as six scorpions rushed toward the group. She focused on the one closest to her first, dodging the katana by flipping backwards, bringing her leg back to kick the handle of the katana to loosen it. She wrapped her hands around what handle was left exposed, and part of the scorpions hand. With a sharp strike, the blade was loosened, and she pulled it from his hands with great strength. She weilded it with great skill. Her training had not been for nothing. She looked at him, beckoning him forward with her eyes. Her rage was to such a degree, that she would not stop at anything.

Yakori turned at Azerzdat.

"You can fly?
- Err... yeah why?
- Drop me onto this excuse of a human being," he said pointing at Bayushi with his blade.
"Man, I wouldn't mind, but we can't let the girl...
- Cut the head, the body will follow."

Azerzdat grabbed Yakori and jumped into the air.

Whatever, the demon thought. I drop the ninja and I get back to help her... if she doesn't make it, I will never get out of here.

Rave watched as Azerdat grabbed Yakori, leaving her there. She did not mind, and it gave her mind less people to think about harming. She sliced the Katana at the Scorpion warriors. It seemed as if everything was moving in slow motion, and that her agility had greatened. Her love gave he strength, and it would burn eternally. The production would last forever.

The Scorpion who lost his katana to Rave quickly recovers and draws a shorter blade from a sheath below the one his katana had vacated minutes before. He slides into a position that could act as a springboard for an attack or to merely defend from. His eyes are half closed and he regards Rave with a mixture of respect and with the look on unbridle predatory nature. The last of the Sardaukar falls to a Scorpion blade, although one of the Scorpions has fallen and another has a gash carved by a Sardaukar knife across one arm. With that the other five encircle Rave. However, the remaining six and the shugenja remain standing, unmoved on the rocks surrounding the minature battlefield.
However, the movements of Azerzdat and Yakori are not left undisturbed. As they fly away from the battlefield, Azerzdat suddenly comes into contact with a barrier of some energy force. The shugenja has turned to face them and is muttering in some incomprehensible language, a piece of what appears to be rice paper grasped between his two steepled index fingers.
The old man's mental voice echoes through the minds of Azerzat and Yakori.

Rave looks at the five encircling her. Her blade...her stolen blade moving at her will. It was as if it had become part of her, and obeyed all of her commands. She slashed diagonally, but in knowing that her back would be exposed she turned one hundred and eighty degrees, running her blade through cold flesh. Her senses were keen...Vaughn apparently was holding back...and she now realized how he had broken her arm. Clever tenique.... She looked to them, seeing all of them without looking. She felt their movements, she heard their hands grip upon their weapons, and their breath fall heavily upon the air.

He dropped Yakori and got back into Rave's direction.

And the lady is in trouble...

Electric blasts appear as Yakori is falling against the energy wall. And a sound, the sound of something cracking.

OOC: Wasn't a mind trick, the shugenja just spoke to him in a median he expects they all can understand.

The Scorpion who lost his blade moves quickly, moving to strike with an angled attack that provides an excellent for defense should a counter-attack result with quick enough pace to reparte the attack. The other Scorpions merely watch, maintaining their distance and seemingly only going to act if thy are provoked or their comrade at arms dies. Although not here equals by considerable distance, these are a far improvement over the Scorpions encountered at the embassy.

OOC: At least I don't think you attack him? I was just a tad bit confused.

The shugenja watchs as the flying one retreats back to the one called Rave. However, he grows concerned with his companion. He feels the minor nuances of the fild h has erected, like the waves against feet standing in the waxing tides of an ocean.
He focuses on Yakori (or Noname, whichever).
Return he says. What lies there you are not yet worthy of.

Completly unaware of the telepathic message, Yakori gets through the field in a white flash. A deafening sound occurs and he falls on the ground.

"Chikushou!" he can't help to shout.

The scorpion they had first encountered had been weaker, the ones Gene had faced. These were stronger, however they faced Ravelyn and Vaughn's technique and abilities mixed. She continued her assault, her movements becoming faster as the rage within her increased.

Her sword sliced through the air to a scorpion's jugular. In her rage, a bit of Qui's demeanor was noted, thirsty for the kill. She had never been as such, and was of more of good natured than this. However, as she fought, her motions fell into a sharp rythmn...as if it were only natural.
