The Honourable Company of Falas,Falas&Lindon has recently, following a most beneficial civil war on the island of Timan where we are based, managed to acquire control of the island and emancipate ourselves from all governmental controls; the neighbouring communist states threatened us, but had not the guts for an invasion and we made with them a settlement that does restrict in any way our freedom of action; and now, knowing that competition is only in the interests of the buyer, we have decided to align with the mightiest conglomerate of private business interests; we most respectfully ask for entry into the Corporate Coalition. If representation on any Coalition-wide bodies is needed, our Esteemed Chieef Executive Officer, Selana Ithiliën, will be sent.

I have come to ratify the membership of the Federal Business Combine to the Corporate Coalition. Due to several internal matter, we have been unable to participate of the organization's happenings in the times previous to this message.

Now, and thanks to wide negotiations with the Commercial Aid and Support Comitee of the FTR, we have been granted a relative independance from the rest of the federation, and we are most than ready to begin participating here.

However, we are unsure if our membership to the organization has remained, or if it was ever completely accepted. That is why I ask for a ratification from the organization.

With nothing else to say for the moment:

~To the FBC~

Of course the FBC is still a confirmed member of the Corporate Coalition! Mister Earlnnock, please be re-assured that the FBc is a full member, with all the duties and priveleges that are connected with that position.

~To FFL~

I admit I am hesitant in your case. From your application, it seems that you have been involved in a civil war. Therefore, I am not sure if you have the stability that we prefer of our members. We will let others speak their mind on this before taking your application any further.

Karolyn leaned across the table, unselfconsciously. "Well, their Senior Vice President can afford the best clothing, and he is rather cute." She smiled. "However, stability is always best, isn't it?" A hard edge came to her voice. "I say we find out exactly what it is they make, what they will bring to us, and whether or not we need a company that makes whatever they make."

((Half of the board is at war with the other half. I think the Resi and AMF wars need to end before anything can happen. By the way, remove that 'until further notice' from PBC. It's a bit stupid after all this time.))

Karolyn turned to the TVC CEO and smiled. "Oh, but come on. It's a brilliant chance! If she shows up, the rest of you can stop leering at me when I'm not looking."
17-10-2003, 11:31
Calvin arched an eyebrow at Carolyn.

Woman!, he thought, remember your position in the coalition! You are not making the decisions here, we do those things together!. But instead, he replied in other words.

"Carolyn, it is because of the AMF and Resi wars that we have to be very careful now. Personally, we would prefer to not let new members in until things have stabilized. Therefore, we will first hear the others."
Roania

"The official position of the Conglomerate is one of agreement with Mr Broadus, and wariness towards the company of FF&L. Pending a resolution of the current crises in AMF and the Corporate Islands, we move that all new admittals be henceforth rejected."

We have received a message that the Manticore Corporation is resigning

Apparently, they have, as they stated "changed hands". I will remove it from the member listings, and hope to get the full story behind this soon.

We regret to see them leave.

We are located on an island known as Timan, and control most of it. The Lokisgard Bay area in the North-East is controlled by a communist power that leased it from the former government of the island before it's collapse; now they pretty much own it. It's of no value to us anyway, and letting them keep it was part of the accords that protect us from invasion by the damned Reds. The island is fairly big, maybe about the size of Iceland, and is mad eup of flat, fertile land mainly. We also have some valuable mining ressources in the South.

Thank you for answering my questions. Now, as you might have noticed some members are engaged in some rather large-scale conflicts. There is already another corporation who's application is currently being dealt with. That one, however, is put on hold until the Angstian delegation returns with there findings.

Now since you have no immediate history of violence or civil war, you seem to be a much safer investment than the previous applicant, at least that is the way our corporation perceives it.

Therefore, we are voting in support of your membership. As is normally the case, all other members have 3 RL days to object to your new membership. If after 3 days significant objections exist, or if more information comes up that drastically changes things, your membership we be put up for review and evaluation.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Corporate Coalition

RecDrug Incorporated would also like to apply for membership. We are one of the worlds leading producers and exporters fo recreational drugs, and have divisions in natural stimulants and hallucinatory products, but also medicine and narcotics. We have taken advantage of the complete legality of all kinds of drugs in Knootoss and use this to produce on a massive scale. Thusly, we can be very price-competitive on the international market. We enyoy good bonds with Angstian firms in the same branch.

The corporation is vertically integrated, handling the entire process from production to distribution.

Recently we brought out the succesful drug "Maso"
One of the product slogans is

Buy Maso "All the advantages of Christianity and alcohol; none of their defects."
01-11-2003, 17:43
The Vortex Corporation strongly opposes the membership of an ordinary drugs-cartel. We advice other CC members to vote against this application, which we perceive as both degenerating and insulting to our organization. We will contact the Knootian government in the near future and request them to withdraw the legalization of drugs. And as for now, you may know that our answer to your application is a firm and permanent refusal.

"Gentlemen, lets not be overhasty. Our research shows RDI is more than a mere drug cartel, and in fact cover significant portions of the biomed sector. Although, the Conglomerate cannot support enterprises deemed illegal by the Santa Barbara government, so we must also, pending a good reason for them to stay, reject the RDI application.

"We will take no action against the Knootossian government for their choice of laws, however."

Sonya Chang then sends an encrypted laser-beam message to the leadership of Recreational Drugs, Incorporated:

<The Conglomerate is intrigued by your organisation and products. Though we can't directly aid your entry into the CC, one of my associates has come up with the interesting proposal of wholesale aquisition of RDI assets and liabilities, with RDI stockholders retaining 90% of the original stock. As one of billions of employees of the PrattCo Conglomerate, I can personally assure you that the benefits of joint production, marketting and distribution-- and protection-- far outweighs any perceived negatives. We invite you to a meeting of minds on the subject in the EOTED Mesh, if it intrigues you, or simply respond on a coded channel.>

"Unfortunately, we`re not able to send you diplomats to increase the (atm non- existing) economical relationships between our two... corporations/ corporate conglomerates, due to the fact that you`re located near a 'hot zone', and we do not want to spread the fire.

However, you´re welcome to send some people to DA, to discuss further cooperation regarding our economical relationships.
