BCVN-1 Marx class Dreadnought is revealed to the world

After reviewing our naval forces it has become very aware to Naval Command that some variety of battleship/light carrier hybrid would be useful. The vessel would be similar to a much enlarged Kiev through deck cruiser, but with heavier weaponry, armor and able to launch CTOL aircraft from a mixture of catapaults and ramps. The vessel will fill many roles; surface combatant, marine support, force projection and cruise missile platform.
Many designs have already been submitted by various design bureaus across Haaregradia, all of which have a moderate sized flight deck, smaller then our Amon Amarth class carriers and heavy armament, somewhat heavier then our Lenin class battlecruisers. These will be by far the largest vessels in our service, with estimated gross weights of 150 000-175 000 tons displacement.
It is expected that these vessels will take one year to finish R&D, after a design is chosen. Additionally it will take approximately one year for construction as most of our shipyards are ending their military production and will be easily freed up. These ships will use as many off-the-shelf componants as possible, whether from large cruise ships, or from our own military vessels.
This class of vessels will be designated BCVN-1 and the first ship will most likely be named Marx.
OOC: If you need a Pic, I can make one for you... or I can let you use that supercarrier pic i had.

No, no, I can make my own pic(as I like to do when I need one). Plus it's neither that much larger then a carrier, and all the designs only feature a partial deck. The lead design looks alot like the Kiev, if it was doubled and yeah... much bigger and better.

The contract was awarded to Lyulka Shipyards OKB, who have previously built some very large super-tankers and cruise ships, as well as manufacturing the Amon Amarth class carrier. Cost per unit is $4.9 billion.

Description:
Pan-Haaregradian Defence Institute and the Pan-Haaregradian Armed Forces: Naval Command issued a call for a large vessel capable of operating as both a battleship for ground bombardment and an aircraft carrier for force projection. It was believed a vessel of this nature would be able to both fight with devastating effectiveness and perhaps even be able to dominate the waters through fear of it's possible useage. The vessel was designed like most Haaregradian naval vessels are, tough as nails and covered with weapons. The armor is thicker then any comparable WWII vessel(USS Iowa for example) and uses newer, much stronger steel alloys. The vessel is very fast for a ship of it's size.
The Marx class dreadnought excels in many roles, however it is truely devestating as a marine support vessel. It can launch heavier aircraft then can Wasp class amphibious assualt carriers, and can provide the type of firepower needed to devestate enemy positions before the Marines land.
In the recent Haaregradian/Metropolis Industries war the vessels proved particularily devastating against smaller enemy ships that had become pinned in their harbour.
The Marx class dreadnought was designed and produced by Lyulka Shipyards OKB, who previously designed numerous other vessels for the Haaregradian Naval Command, along with several large tankers, cargo ships and cruiseliners.
The total cost of R&D on the vessel is currently classified and the cost per unit for Haaregradian Naval Command is also classified.
Price for foreign sales is $5 250 000 000USD. This price is also pending approval for export.
Time to build is 1 year NS(however long you play a year as).

bump - the picture works now
Edit: it doesn't work anymore...
God, I wish I had enough left in the naval acquisition budget to afford one. i once designed a similar type of ship, but it neve made it to production. It was also a lot smaller, and so carrier performance was compromised substantially. I imagine it would make a nice complement to my two prince henry class carriers. I don't suppose you offer hire purchase? also, i'm looking for countries with shipyards to contract out the building of several new corvettes and destroyers. I was originally planning to open it only to my region, but it might be easier if I opened it to experienced manufacturers.

We could build you some corvettes, frigates, destroyers... anything really.
We've build a couple of these so far, then again we spend alot on the military and are the prime naval power in the region.(OOC: if any of my region members care to disagree do tell)
I'll put up stats for my corvette and frigate and destroyer.

actually, i've designed the ships myself, but need someone with shipyards to construct them. you would gain full access to the specs and plans and so could build some for your own use if you liked them. I'll post up the specs if you're interested and you can give me a quote on expected production costs. all specialized weapons would be supplied.
