Price: $50 Billion (48779 Kilos Platinum) [+crew training: $0.5 Billion]

Robots:

MR-22 Snake
The Snake Maintenance robot is a modular robot made up of three basic types of modules: propulsion, command, and manipulative.

Each module, except for command modules, has a joint in the middle to allow it to bend, which allows the robot as a whole to bend and twist like a snake, hence the name.

Each robot has at least 1 command module, usually at the front, which contains sensor arrays and the robot's microprocessor.
Propulsive modules come in three versions. The first is a module with a small fan on either side, for use within ships. The second is a module with an EK thruster on each side, for use outside ships. The third is a module with a hydrogen peroxide thruster on either side, also for use outside ships.
Manipulative modules are extremely varied, and include grippers, screwdrives, laser cutters, etc.

Price: $40 per module.

IR-47 Canary
The IR-47 Canary is intended to be used in zero-g environments on space stations and large ships. It is spherical, and propelled by 6 small fans. It is equipped with radio uplink, a plasma display screen, a video camera, air pressure and composition sensors, pre-sentient AI and voice recognition and synthesis, and infrared and sonic ranging sensors, among other things.

Price: $200 each.

DR-149 Rylos
The Rylos Drone is a slightly multipurposed robot. It is equipped with a C.O.R.A. pre-sentient AI system, like the IR-47 Canary. It is capable of carrying out scientific exploration and remote experimentation missions, but was primarily designed as a military drone. The drone stands approximately 4 feet tall, and consists of
1x body
1x undercarriage
4x articulated legs

The body unit contains the microcontroller, camera, infrared sensors, etc, as well as power supply and communications equipment. The undercarriage houses primarily weapons and manipulators. The standard drone is equipped with a machine gun (interchangeable ammunition types), maser, pulsed laser cutter, and mandible-like manipulators. The legs are double-articulated, allowing the drone to operate even when inverted. Geckopads on the feet allow the drone to climb almost any surface, as well as operate in zero-g environments.

Price: 4 Ounces Platinum

DR-150 Leafcutter
The Leafcutter Drone is a military and surveilance robot. It is equipped with a C.O.R.A. pre-sentient AI system, like the DR-149 Rylos and IR-47 Canary. The drone looks a lot like an ant that's missing its abdomen, stands approximately 5 feet tall, and consists of
1x body
1x head
6x articulated legs

The body unit contains the microcontroller, power supply and communications equipment. The head houses most of the sensors and manipulators. The standard drone is equipped with a dual machine gun (interchangeable ammunition types), maser, and long-range laser on the body, and a pulsed laser cutter and mandible-like manipulators on the head. Sensors include 2 CCD visual arrays, heat sensors, and tactile feedback sensors. Unlike the DR-149, the legs are not double-articulated, but the drone is self-righting. Geckopads on the feet allow the drone to climb almost any surface, as well as operate in zero-g environments.

Price: 4 Ounces Platinum

mDR-176 Lightning Bug
The Lightning Bug minidrone is useful for remote-attack operations and reconassaince. It consists of a small helicopter platform, about 1.5 feet long, with the space where cockpit would go on a full-size helicopter filled in with comm equipment, flight computers, a CCD camera, and optional automation computers, which allow it to fly alone, without a remote operator, and carry out pre-programmed instructions. The Lightning Bug is armed with 1 maser and one .75mm micromachinegun.

Price: 1.5 Ounces Platinum

mDR-179 Oculus
Originally designed as nothing more than a plaything, a testbed for some new ideas, the mDR-179 Oculus minidrone has proven to be an effective spybot. The body of the drone consists of a sphere of only about 1 inch in diameter. Four articulated legs (4 ball joints each, and about 4 inches long) extend in a tetrahedral pattern from this central sphere, which contains the drone's computers. At the end of one of these legs is a high-resolution CCD camera. At the ends of each of the other three legs are 3-pronged feet, capable of closing so as to clasp an object, but also having geckopads so as to be able to effectively climb and cling to almost any surface.

Price: 1 Ounce Platinum

mDR-185 Stalker
The Stalker is capable of acting both as an attack and recon unit, though its primary purpose is recon. The entire drone is only about 4.5 inches across and 1.5 inches tall. It is a very simple drone, consisting of a CCD camera in the center, facing upwards, and four legs, one from each corner. Under the camera is mounted comm equipment, a program control chip, and 5 neural simulation chips. The program control ship holds the drone's core instructions, and directs its activities just like in any other robot. However, instead of attempting to coordinate the actions of all of the legs, and determining its position, and communicating with its controller all at once, it delegates motor control to the primary neural simulator. The primary neural simulator is extremely simple- its only purpose is to find out where the drone needs to go from the control chip, and then figure out which sequence of leg movements will get it moving in that direction. It then sends pulses to each of the other 4 neural chips, one for each leg. When a certain leg recieves a pulse, its chip works out how best to move the leg. A set of tactile sensors of each foot allows each leg to find and step over obstacles independantly, granting stability and efficiency at levels impossible by other methods. The extreme efficiency of this heirarchical structure, and its inherent ability to learn from past experience, means that a lot of processing power is left over for other applications. Expansions that take advantage of this power are currently being developed, and much work is being put into transferring this sytem to larger robots.

Price: 1 Ounce Platinum

Weaponry:

Hutchison Effect Point-Deflector
Point-Deflectors are just about the best defensive weapons you can find. Utilizing the disruption and telekinetic permutations of the Hutchison Effect, Point-Deflectors are able to, as the name suggests, deflect or destroy incoming objects that enter their area of influence. The area of influence is alterable, but each deflector is only capable of projecting its area of influence into a single specific area at any one time (hence Point-Deflector). Greatest control is acheived within 25 meters of the generator, but range can be increased to up to 100 meters by increasing power. Power consumption ranges from 400 to 4,000 watts at 110 volts, depending on the size of the object to be deflected.

Price: 7 Ounces Platinum

Green Blinder
Really bright green-band laser. Impairs eyesight for up to 20 minutes.

Price: $30

Pulse Laser Rifle
Hot CO2 laser, mounted in a rifle-like case. 50 pulses per second standard fire, adjustable to as low as 1 pulse per second for high-power applications (like metal cutting). Near-infinite range in space, ~1km effective range in 1 bar atmosphere.

Price: $500

Plasma Rifle
Slightly larger than a Bazooka, fires spheromak bolts. Argon fuel, operating temperature of 20,000K. Effective range of 400m.

Price: $900

Prices may be negotiable. Payment accepted in Platinum, Rhodium, Molybdenum and other precious metals, and standard credits/dollars.

Inverse Bremsstrahlung Shockwave Laser
Two ultraviolet nitrogen lasers with power output just below that required to trigger the Inverse Bremsstrahlung Effect are focused at a variable distance, where their combined power instantly induces a plasma shockwave. Effective range of 30km in atmosphere.

Price: $600

Inverse Bremsstrahlung Tazer
Two low-power ultraviolet nitrogen lasers are used to ionize air on a path to the target, through which is conducted a multi-hundred volt current. Capable of inducing cardiac arrest while leaving no external marks (burned skin, etc).

Price: $250

Prices may be negotiable. Payment accepted in Platinum, Rhodium, Molybdenum and other precious metals, and standard credits/dollars.

Lack of stock and concerns about your ability to afford that great of an expense require us to reject this order. At the moment, we are able to supply two completed ships, and perhaps a long-term payment deal can be worked out to provide you with additional ships at a later date.
15-11-2003, 22:34
ooc: Have saved up 50 years (RL days) of the available spending ^_^ so yes I can afford it)

Then we do not wish to purchase anything else then the plans for the construction of this vessel. We are willing to sign a contract that states that we will not sell the designs or any vessel that has been made on the basis of this design. The price can be agreed on.

We will still however want to train our personell, that would come down to $50,000,000,000.
imported_Eniqcir
15-11-2003, 23:00
A further investigation of your fiscal history has indicated your ability to afford the requested vessels, but the point of lack of stock still stands.

Taking into account your original desire for 100 vessels, as well as the non-resale agreement, we are willing to sell the plans for the Colonial Mineral Ship at a base price of 2,700,000,000,000. Negotiations are open.

We would like to handle training with only a few crews at a time. If this is acceptable, payment should come in periodic, non-interest accumulating installments.
16-11-2003, 08:44
We offer $1,200,000,000,000 for the plans, mind you we still need to produce these things ourselves.

As for the training of the crews, we agree to this way of training our people. How long does it take to train one complete crew? We would like to train our crews as fast as possible, so that when we have finished construction of these vessels, they can be operated immediately.

Secret IC:
"You want me to do what? That's verging on fiscal insanity, we could do it ourselves at at least half the cost!" The CFO of MangalaCorp was not thrilled. This saddened the Voice, but was not unexpected.

"Doing it ourselves would save money, but it wouldn't help solve Eniqcir's buget crisis, meaning it WOULD lead to further instability on Mars. We can't force it on you, but the Council encourages you to make the purchase."

"Feh, thug. Fine, I'll make some inquiries..."

"Thank you, we will remember your cooperation."

IC:
MangalaCorp is interested in purchasing one(1) Mining ship for the pre-set price, along with crew training. In addition the Mangalan government is interested in purchasing a shipment of 100 green flash non-lethal thingies (sorry i forget the name) on a trial basis, if they are satisfactory we will explore the possibility of purchasing more.

Payment will be in Sunset's di-coin currency (It's a strong one and I assume that you should be able to convert it more easilly than Mangala's currency, simply because sunset has offered more detail about their nation.)
