The Imperial Crimsonian Defence Minister today announced an additional procurement of Excelsior class submarinal aircraft carrier and associated escort units to create another group as hostilities in the war further intensify to potentially concerning level.
While actual specifics of the design are still confidential, it is known the unit has a standard, biologically enhanced electromagnetic drive. It has been known for decades that Doctor Stewart Way built and tested an electromagnetic submarine at University of California, Santa Barbara, in the mid 1960s and that a Japanese conglomerate built an EM ship using superconducting magnets much later. Crimsonia in association with Gyan has greatly accelerated this and standardised it across navy assets.
Where many world submarinal units have suffered from short comings in defence ability, the Crimsonian world navy has been able to focus on supercavitating projectiles in retractable turrets to fend off incoming objects, while retaining an extremely quiet and efficient propulsion system to avoid any detection required. More has been spoken of the significant and highly effective sonic weaponry ability.
"Apparently a great deal has been made of 'Pure Evil' industrial military exports, but ours is famously rather far in advance," said one Ministry of Defence official on the matter.
