Did Fass get deleted by mod, or did he just simply stop logging into his nation?

1) you can not only find his profile by using the search function on the top left under the Nationstates banner, you can also see in his profile when he last logged in to the forum.

2) you can not only look up his nation by using the search function in "The World" on the Nationstates main page, you can also see in his nation's page when he last logged in to his nation.

That's what I get for being a smartass (albeit a non-smartass-y, helpful one) without doing the research...

I actually only checked his forum profile and was too lazy to search for his nation, figuring that if his profile was still around there was no way his nation was gone. Seems I was wrong. :(

When your nations ceases to exist, the account gets banned, whether it is because of mod action or not logging in. It still exists though, the owner just can't access it.

How long is it before the account is deated? I mean for not loggin in? Isn't it like 28days?

28 days normally; 60 in vacation mode.

I suspect Fass may have done something many people have done before: just going straight to Jolt and posting without actually getting around to logging into NS.

Just the typical curtesy that we extend even to posters who don't respect our rules. As you are not he, I feel no obligation to state why.

Yes, we do, if your nation's been brought to our attention for rulebreaking behavior.

Everyone has an opinion. The admin, however, trusts those of the moderating team they put into place.

You can't request to see the information we have simply because 1)if you have done nothing, there is no information to report back and 2) everyone who has had an entry made into their file has gotten a warning along with it telling them what they were warned for either in the thread they were posting in or telegrammed to them if they were involved in a game violation, and 3) we are NOT going to waste time with a personal telegram to each person telling them what they already know.

I'm not questioning your decision to do it; as good a poster Fass was, he was clearly pushing it on several occasions, and I often felt it was only his reputation on the forum that was preventing him from being reported.

Having said this, the Moderators usually rely on people linking to particular posts in this forum, as they cannot be expected to watch everything every single poster has said. As I have seen no report about something stronger then this I was somewhat surprised to see him struck off, hence my 'random' comment. Hack refers to 'numerous rule violations'; however, I never saw Fass so much as warned by the Mods.

I'm not trying to criticise, or to be honest even make a point; I was just curious as to why it happened at this moment in time. However, between youself and Hack, you have already answered and made it clear this information will not be available to us.

Fass was one of the good guys. No matter what he thought or how he felt, he'd approach every situation as an individual situation. He never horribly generalised to an offensive degree and I'm sorry if being gay got him poofed. (ba dum chik)

The nation "Fass" is gone, but what makes you think the player has left the game? Virtually everyone that gets deleted over accumulated demerits returns with a puppet or two ... or three ... or four. Deletion is our way of saying, "You went too far this time, chief." It's hardly catastophic.

NS Moderation allows for the possibility of redemption. How many web games do that? I bet it's not a huge number. Fass will be back, if he's not already. All this whining is pointless.

Guys...guys...just because someone gets in trouble doesnt mean you have to go all first grade on the mods and say...but he, well he...but Eut...well DK...I'm sure they know what other popular posters do, but for whatever reason chose Fass. They do know more than they let on, afterall.
