WHCN at 6
All across the Wolf Hold people were tuning in to watch the 6 o'clock news. Tonight more people then ever, for the past few days papers had been leaking details about a possible spilt in the CIS and now the days papers said something about a press release at 6, every one knew that the Wolf Hold was repairing for war. Now they wanted to know if events with the CIS would enlighten them. Living rooms, office blocks and barrack rooms across the country suddenly quietened as the words 'NEWS FLASH' shot across their screens followed by feed from the television cameras inside the Fang's press centre. Stepping up onto a podium was the 1st Wolf's Marshall Cain himself, with a solemn face he addressed the nation.
"It is with a sad heart that I must inform you that the people we believed to be some of our closest allies, the CIS turned their back on us today. Not long ago down to a popular vote decided to ratify an CIS-ODECON non-aggression pact. After the destruction of Wolf Pack 054, WHS Unity, the loss of a carrier with all hands, severe damage to the WHS Fell and most of all the death of 3rd Wolf's Marshall Decker, our allies still side with the people who caused these tragedies, frankly I do not believe I or the rest of this nation wants to be part of an alliance that will not support us in our endeavours. So effective immediately I am withdrawing the Wolf Hold from the CIS effective immediately.
Also any forces seconded to the CISM are to be recalled with all possible haste. I wish to say that I am willing to bring us back to the CIS if the agreement with ODECON is called off, until that point we will remain away from people who would turn their back on us. We hope that the remaining members of the CIS can see what mistake they have made in giving in to ODECON bully tactics. That is all"
