The Galactic Federation of Anagonia - Sector Sigma Octavius Superior
Sigma Octavius Superior was a sector of space devoid of mostly anything but raw mining materials and asteroids. A few stars resided here, but hardly any planets worth colonizing. Industries and corporations thrived here, as did Pirates. Sigma Octavius Superior gained the popular nickname "Sector SOS" for the uncanny amount of pirate attacks, resulting in a galactic wide joke that literally became a thorn in the side of the Star Fleet. Eventually military ships came in, had a costly war and Sigma Octavius Superior was devoid of life once again. It would take decades before any corporation or industry would dare settle mining facilities in the sector again. Only when the Galactic Federation founded a few Military Mining Facilities did the civilian sector follow suit feeling protected.
Eventually, as the years past, Sigma Octavius Superior became controlled more and more by the Galactic Army and Navy. The two arms of the Federation Military shared monetary funding to build expansive projects over lucrative mining spots that yielded uncanny amounts of precious metals. Piracy became something of a memory and "Sector SOS" no longer meant the helpless, lawless state that Sigma Octavius Superior once was. A new purpose came into light after so many military installations had been constructed on barren planets and in space. Seeing as it was the most well defended sector in all the Federation, political and diplomatic relations with foreign powers would be the safest here.
As the Foreign Dignitaries came piling in, initiating high level meetings that gave the Galactic Federation advantages on the Galactic scene, the Military eventually saw that there wasn't a proper place to have these meetings. So construction began on a new Space Station that would serve many purposes, the main of which being a safe meeting place for Anagonian and foreign diplomats and, if need be, leaders. Starbase Sigma started construction fifteen years this day, finished in about ten and taking five more to fully implement weapons systems. It was the typical Starbase (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/File:Starbase_6.jpg) design, including extensive weapons implementations and scientific/medical facilities that assisted in both discovering new materials in the sector and as an emergency medical facility.
Commanding Starbase Sigma was Alexander Rite, a forty-two year old veteran of the Grand Army. Over his extensive carrier as a CO, Alexander had been Commander to eight ships. His knowledge of tactical and strategic situations was equal only to a handful of commanders. Yet the main reason why he was chosen to command an entire Starbase was his diplomatic abilities that served the Federation well in gaining various planets respect for Anagonia. His services would be once again called upon on this day, Command having called on various Galactic nations to visit Starbase Sigma for a conference on ushering in new relations. He knew that politics would play a big role here and that the Federations ideal for peaceful relations would win over any debate. If not? Hell, he had an entire sector that he could literally call to arms.
Standing on the bridge of the Starbase was like standing in some kind of large dome with holographic screens all around the dome-like roof and around some of the walls, the floor covered in stations and personnel monitoring everything from single transmissions to fleet movements. In the center of it all was Alexander's station looking more like an Admiral's desk than anything. It was enclosed by four other stations that some of his Commanding Officers would generally man, his seat in the center of the circular platform that seem raised above the rest. From here, he could access any station and any amount of information that would assist him in making the best decisions for the sector at large. Currently, as he sat in his seat and played his fingers over the holographic display, he observed a Constellation-Class Exploration Frigate (http://hawk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=92&page=1#381) come into dock at one of the stations docking arms. Various other ships, including several Acclamator-II's and two Nova-Class Exploration Destroyer's (http://hawk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=92&page=1#383) that was currently having their crews take shore leave on Sigma.
Alexander Rite would wait here until word of the foreign dignitaries arrival reached him. From his command console he would order an escort for any of the ships and guide them to Starbase Sigma. Then, as things made way to the point of the conference itself, he would ready himself in any manner possible for a peaceful and beneficial meeting of Galactic powers. He smiled to himself, having planned everything through. The holographic display changed to a mining facility on the far edge of the sector, Alexander ordering an Acclamator-I near the vicinity to check on the status. Gazing up and around the bridge, he pondered getting something to drink and leaving the work to someone else.
OSCS Clarke, 2nd Task Force, Near Sector Sigma Octavius Superior
Captain Wilson Jager was pacing in the CIC of the Marathon-class Cruiser (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Marathon-class_Cruiser) the OSCS Clarke, one of the most prised ships in the Oseaton Fleet. The captain was a veteran of the Oseaton Unification Wars that had ripped apart Oseaton Space for decades, a fierce warrior, and yet a qualified diplomat.
When the communication from The Galactic Federation of Anagonia had reached the picket ships of the Oseaton 2nd Task Force that had been monitoring the Sigma Octavius Superior Sector, Jager had decided it was best to send himself as an emissary of the Oseaton Government than wait for someone from the Foreign Affiars Department to make their way out there. Oseaton Ships had routinely monitored the area for decades since the extermination and clearing of Sector SOS began. After sending a message back to the High Command explaining their actions, the OSCS Clarke had detached herself from the Task Force and had made their way toward the designated starbase. The Task Force, comprised of several Hamilton Class Frigates (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/UNSC_Frigate) in addition to the OSCS Clarke, would continue to monitor the area and await the return of the Clarke.
The Federation of Oseato had been looking to establish relations with foreign powers for some time after the Unification Wars ended. They hoped this meeting would open new relations with foreign nations and lead to a prosperous period for the Oseaton Federation, eager to forget their troubled past. Captain Jager would be allowed to negotiate as a delegate with the full backing of the Oseaton Tribunal, the executive head of the Federation. Unfortunately, Jager was feeling the stress of the moment and was quite nervous at the prospect of meeting foreign diplomats, in the past he had only need deal with rebel leaders, fellow Oseatons, during the war of Unification. He would take extra precaution to not offend the other nations meeting here.
As the Clarke drew near, he grew calmer with the knowledge that the Federation had trusted him to be their emissary. He sat back and waited while his XO requested permission to dock at the starbase.

Komtur Jonaton Siegul stood on the bridge of the ROA Crusader, a light dragoon trader craft, as it silently pierced the blackness of space. He was a short man, with a ruddy complexion and piercing eyes that thrusted right to the heart of any matter. It had been many years since the end of the war that enabled the formation of the Religious Order of Alderania from the former Order of Aldera, and the Komtur was on a mission to spread the religion of Heliism, and to seek out potential trading partners for the Religious Order.
Though these peoples he was meeting with were infidels, and thus natural enemies of the Orthodox Temple that ruled the nation, the Holy Synod had declared that any people that chose to communicate with the Religious Order had been shown by the Divine Stars the true path of righteousness and may, over time, even be accepted by the Stars as their children.
The executive officer, the Halkomtur, expertly maneuvered the tiny trading craft towards the station as Siegul looked on, proud at the mission that he was here to accomplish.
"Communications Officer, please open a channel with the station. Request an escort to the appropriate docking facilities. Halkomtur, take us to one-tenth speed." The two officers gave their ayes, and the craft slowed to a crawl. The communications officer delivered his message.
This is the ROA Crusader of the Religious Order of Alderania, we request an escort to deliver us to the appropriate docking facilities. Repeat, we request an escort. ROA Crusader out.

Alexander Rite examine the sensor data that appeared when the two ships had entered the sector. Beyond it, he thought he observed other ships that were behind the identified OSCS Clarke. A Venator on long patrol was issued orders to investigate the possible sensor anomaly with a tech crew to check over the Sigma's sensor capability to ensure it wasn't a ghost reading. Concentrating on the purpose of guiding the two ships to the station and where to dock, he left this task to the Dock Chief with all relevant information included. Two Acclamator-II's that had been docked into one of Sigma's docking arm's had already been crewed and prepared for escort duty, thus undocking and quickly making way separately for the two foreign ships.
He then left the rest of the duty to the Chief of Station Watch after forming up a message of greeting and sending it, standing from his chair and heading from the bridge down to the station's depths where he would personally meet the dignitaries representing foreign galactic powers. He preferred this instead of sending the marine detachment. Conferences that were greeted by the highest of authorities tended to get beneficial results upon said good impressions, and Alexander was definitely one for impressions.
OSCS Clarke
The Grand Army Starship Kromulus, one of the Acclamator-II's assigned to guide the foreign ships into proper docking routine, had moved alongside the Clarke with no sign of hostile intent. The Captain had relayed the Docking Chief's instructions that the Clarke should head to the second docking arm, just forward of the Kromulus, and dock at bay two. The Kromulus would follow.
ROA Crusader
Grand Army Starship Betha Four made it's way to the Crusader, once again no hostile intent displayed. As it moved alongside the Crusader, it began escort position to guide the ship into docking procedure. The Dock Chief's message was relayed once again, informing the Crusader to make way for the second docking arm. Docking bay four would be used for the foreign ship, the Acclamator II would follow.
From Station Commander Alexander Rite - Starbase Sigma
To: All Foreign Dignitaries present
From: Alexander Rite, General - Grand Army of the Galactic Federation
It is a pleasure to formally greet you. I am proud to have Sigma Octavius Sector as the center for a formal conference of galactic powers. By now, the ships under my command are escorting you to dock at Starbase Sigma. Please follow the Captains and Docking Chief's instructions to dock at the second docking arm. There, you will personally meet me as we make way for the conference room and discuss matters of importance.
I await your arrival,
-General Alexander Rite

The communications officer relayed the transmission from the starbase Sigma to Komtur Siegul, who ordered the Halkomtur to follow the Betha Four to docking arm two. The tiny, rectangular craft gave a quick burst of energy from its ion drive, angling for the Beta Four. As it reached the following distance, retro thrusters fired to keep the craft from colliding. The Crusader followed its escort into the mouth of hanger four.Once docking was completed, the Komtur handed the bridge to the Halkomtur and prepared to meet the foreigners.
Oh Divine Stars, give me the strength I need to deliver these ones to You, my Gods. Deliver them into Your holy embrace, that we may all be children of Your Divinities. Jonaton grabbed a copy of the holy text and a staff, assuming his role of spiritual adviser. He was a member of the Ritterbruder, the monastical officer corps of the Religious Order, and was expected at all times to serve the Divine Stars and the temporal power of the Order. As a missionary, he would now serve State and Temple, delivering new children and allies to both. So he hoped.
Captain Jager quickly instructed his crew to comply with instructions being received from the escort ship. After doing so he made his way to his cabin to put on his best uniform. He stood in front of the mirror for a moment, straighting out his tunic, before placing his hat back on his head and returning to the CIC.
As the Clarke docked at the designated area, Jager began issuing orders for the crew to execute while he was gone. Everything from sending messages back to the High Command to which sections of the crew would go off duty first and what the mess hall would serve. Finally, the intelligence officer from the ship joined Jager before he disembarked the cruiser. The officer would act as Jager's aide during the meetings, and would use his training to help Jager deal with anything that came up during the meeting.
Jager merely nodded at the officer as they prepared to exit the cruiser and enter the docking bay.

The OSCS Clarke was considerably smaller than any ship encountered at the starbase before, and thus when it entered docking bay two, which had already a Constellation-Class that was under extensive repairs at the far end, it seemed almost like a tiny spec. Docking arms extended, grabbing the ship as it halted and securing a docking way towards the ships entrance. Things were completely different for the Crusader. The Acclamator II followed it into Docking bay Four, the two almost matching in size as they docked respectfully. The same process of finishing the dock ensured, plank extending towards the entrance. Eventually as the two Commanders of the respective vessels, with the Oseatian bringing another with him, Marines met with them and led them respectively to the center of the station where Alexander waited in the lower level conference room.
As the two leaders entered, long corridors and various species of humanoids the only view behind them, they would see Alexander standing at the fore of a rectangular conference table with a widescreen behind him with holographic images. He stood about five feet and two inches, obviously human. His aged expression shown apparent by his mixture of gray and brown hair, no facial hair upon his chin or cheeks. He gave a warm smile, greenish eye's gazing at the three foreign dignitaries. The Marines stood outside the room, the door sliding closed behind the three entering. He gestured for one of eight seats around the table, as if asking for them to sit.
The room, along with the holographic widescreen and rectangular conference table, was quite bland. In two corners there was one large plant that seemed to give life to the room. The walls were metallic sky-blue, standard for a military installation. The forward sliding door was presented with panels on either side that could become transparent if they needed to, sometimes exposing the sliding door as it slid into the adjacent panel. The floor was a comfortable brownish bland carpet, the chairs a soft leather that seemed made for various species. Alexander smiled, his uniform standard Grand Army Phase II Clone Trooper Armor (http://hawk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=93) that had the Orange ranking stripe signaling his Special Commander status. The armor was stripped down, smoothed, almost like a ceramonial outfit that was overall ebony black in color. The only thing missing was the helmet, which didn't seem to be around him.
"Greetings," he said finally. "I'm glad you two could attend this conference of foreign powers. I am Station Commander Alexander Rite, General in the Grand Army of the Galactic Federation." He took a seat at the head of the table, smiling and motioning for them to. He gazed at both, "If you would like drinks or refreshments, just ask and I'll inform the stewards." He smiled again, "In any event, I represent the Galactic Federation of Anagonia and do so hope for a most wonderful diplomatic engagement."

Though the room was obviously spartan, the Komtur found it slightly opulent. As one who had taken a monastic vow of poverty and resided in a small room with a cot, the solitary plant in the room was a rare luxury. He glanced at the Station Commander and gave a curt nod before taking a seat in the comfy leather chair. Yet another luxury that he wasn't used to: chairs, and chairs that were comfortable. I could get used to this.
Once he had taken his seat, he pulled back the hood on his monastic robes, revealing a head of long, unruly hair and dark eyes. He stole a quick look at the two men, sizing them up and judging them before speaking. They appeared to be decent beings, if infidels. "I am Komtur Jonaton Siegul, Ritterbruder of the Order of Aldera, and missionary. I serve the Divine Stars as much as I serve the wordly powers of the Religious Order. I, too, wish for a most cordial event."

Alexander noted as the other two sat, obviously taking things seriously as they didn't speak. He looked at Jonaton, responding with a bow of his own head, and giving a curt smile. "I am very pleased to make your acquaintance." He leaned forward, clasping his hands together as he continued the curt smile. "I believe we can accomplish much, your nation and mine, and that in the end it would be most beneficial if we cooperate in such matters." He gave a hint that trade was definitely a possibility, and he wanted relations per national agreements.

The missionary leaned forward as well, laying his hands on the table. He reached into his robe, and pulled out a large, and old, book, a rare sight in these ages. He laid the book carefully on the table. "This is one of the oldest copies of the Divine Word of the Stars that we have. It is a most honored gift, that I present to your people. And for you," he reached once again into his robe, this time removing a small dagger, setting it on the table. "This is a blade, and if you remove it from its sheath, you will see the magic of reconstructive materials: as your mind wanders, the engraving on the side of the blade wanders with you. Think, and it shall draw. Allow me to demonstrate."
He picked the blade up again, setting his mind to thinking of a fierce space battle, ships exploding all around. The image on the blade slowly warped into a silvery facsimile of the image in his mind. He then switched to thinking of a serene mountain spring, and the image shifted again. "These blades are the one luxuries we missionaries are allowed. As a symbol of friendship, I would like you, personally, to have it." He put the blade back in its sheath and slide it across the table gently.
"Now, on to business. As a man of the Divine, I have a request that comes on behalf of the Orthodox Temple. Our nation is a nation of the devout, and it is a requirement of our religion that certain members spread it as far and wide as possible. We request that our missionaries be granted permission to enter into your space, unarmed, of course, to complete that requirement of theirs."

Alexander had thought he prepared for everything he might encounter. Emperor's, leaders, even Presidents. A simple monk with an apparent vow of poverty? No, this was something unique. His expression was somber, respectful, staring in a serious gaze at Jonaton as he gently took the book as it was handed to him and examined it. It was magnificent! Only in the Grand Library of the Galactic Federation did one see the few millions of paperback books saved from the claws of time. Even then, most was now transferred into holographic memory since they were degrading. Alexander had no doubt that this book would be put in a special place in the Library after scholars from every solar system examined it in full.
Alexander looked up once more, watching the display of the dagger and taking it. He nodded, once again a serious face and expression of respect. He bowed his head as a Secretary came in and gently took the book and dagger into a holder and scurried off, having handed to Alexander something wrapped in cloth. He nodded towards Jonaton, "You have the utmost respect of the Galactic Federation, humble Missionary." He opened the cloth from around the mysterious object inside, revealing a set a humble walking shoes that had no logo and were easily strapped. He handed these to Jonaton, "I wish to have given you more, but these seem simple enough." He grabbed something at the bottom, a computer PDA of some sort, and handed that to Jonaton. "This is for your government. It reveals all races within the Federation and languages for easy reference. Thus you can-" he smiled "-freely come into Anagonia and begin peaceful missionary work with ease."
Alderania
10-05-2009, 01:07
A deep smile crossed the face of Jonaton as the shoes were handed to him. He cradled the shoes gently in his hands, feeling the weight and craft. They looked very comfortable and practical, and he slid them into a pocket in his thick robes. But the news of being allowed to perform missionary work.... it was all too much for the simple man to endure. He rose from the seat at the news and gave a deep bow, a few tears of joy streaming down his cheeks, his smile deeper still. "The Galactic Federation of Anagonia shall be marked in our Temple as a true and deep friend, a nation with the utmost respect for religion. I entered this station believing your people to be infidels, but it is true that you have the spirit of the Divine Stars within you."
After a few moments of joy, the monk finally returned to his seat, satisfied at accomplishing his spiritual goals. Oh, glory be to the most Divine Stars! Thank you for delivering me! He set his mind to the next task, securing some sort of trade for the Religious Order. "Perhaps, gracious host, we can move on to the subject of trade. Alderania is rich in metals, but poor in soil. Because of this, many of our laborers toil with nearly no gain to try to feed our growing population. Few of our worlds are suitable for the growing of crops. In exchange for some of our metals, perhaps we could arrange a trade for foodstuffs."

Alexander was quite taken back by the show of emotion from the Monk. He sat there, hands crossed, watching the tears of joy fall. His head tilted down, he chuckled quietly. Indeed, not what he expected. When he rose his head to gaze back at Jonaton and heard his statement, he considered a retort. However, he held his tongue. Faith and religion were not his strong points, so considering the statement he took it on faith and not on literal pondering. He bowed his head at the end of the display, smiling wide and listening to the next concern on the list.
"Perhaps, gracious host, we can move on to the subject of trade. Alderania is a planet rich in metals, but poor in soil. Because of this, many of our laborers toil with nearly no gain to try to feed our growing population. In exchange for some of our metals, perhaps we could arrange a trade for foodstuffs."
Alexander listened intently, nodding at the end. This was something he could definitely assist in. The Grand Army constructed Acclamator-Class Starships for the very reason of maintaining order and supplying frontier worlds that were mainly used for foodstuffs and minerals. Just like this frontier sector, there was many more for specific purposes. As General in the Grand Army, he not only controlled this overall sector, he also maintained a fleet that supplied adjacent sectors. Three of which, surprisingly enough, had farming worlds. All he had to do was call in the other General's for a meeting and consult with the High General, whom oversaw many of the sectors in this quadrant of the Frontier, and he was sure a deal would be accepted.
"I believe," he said responding calmly, "that the Grand Army can begin supply runs into any sector with foodstuffs." He looked behind him and stood, pressing a hand on the widescreen as a holographic display of the quadrant. There, he pressed three sectors surrounding Sigma Octavius. "These sectors here are mainly farming worlds, so I know that the Generals commanding them will happily reroute unused or excess foodstuffs to your nation." He smiled, gazing back at the Monk. "Sounds good?"

The Blacken Sphere glided through its FTL travel net, the forty second constructed by the Collective, it was a long way from its normal haunts but the Alpha Overmind had been clear, the Collective needed their primary diplomats to drop everything and go to a former backwater area for negations between three or four minor yet major parties in the intergalactic stage, if they could be persuaded to not to interfere in their plans...
The Master of the sphere shut off its activated console as the powerdown sequence continued it focused its complete will towards the Sphere's Overmind.
If being the key word.
You doubt our abilities?
Not necessarily but I highly doubt that they'll resist poking their noses no matter how nicely we ask.
We can always hope.
That didn't help the Volgas.
True, how much longer?
We should be dropping right about... now.
The sphere dropped out of its spaceflight in a flash of 510 nm light, immediately shields, sensors, commutations and weapon systems were brought up and the agreed upon message was sent. Other defensive protocols were also activated incase the whole scheme had been a trap from the beginning, a brief burst was sent over the overmind to the Alpha and the whole sphere seemed to tense as it awaited the response...
"We have come, now where shall we go?"

Alexander Rite smiled at the Monk as he awaited a reply, then gazed at the screen as one red blimp showed up. He magnified it and used the holographic display to contact his command center. After a conversation in a different language, considering the vacinity of foreign dignitaries, he gazed back at Jonaton as if nothing had happened. Apparently, as the screen turned back to the quadrant, it was solved.
Starbase Sigma - Grand Army Starship Kromulus
The Kromulus moved from the docking bay and out into open space. The station had detected that weapons and shields were activated in a foreign ship, being some kind of sphere. Powering up weapons and shields, the Captain of the Kromulus issued general quarters as he commanded his vessel onwards and closer to the alien craft. He sent a message out.
Attention Unknown Craft -
This is the Grand Army Starship Kromulus, protecting Starbase Sigma. If you are here for the conference, power down weapons and shields and follow my ship towards the docking bays. If you are not, explain your presence and intent.

A brief message was returned in the same frequencies and transmitted language, along with a very weak signal that was specially designed for these types of arrangements.
Attention Grand Army Starship Kromulus, protector of Starbase Sigma. We are Sphere forty two of the Technonaut Collective, we had received word from some of our operators to come to these coordination in order to meet with a number of major powers in this sector, as they were not overly specific we decided to power up all systems when we entered system this included offensive weaponry, as you at least gave us the common cutesy to talk before firing we will now power down our offensive weaponry, but we will keep our shields until we are assured of your own intent.
Seems dangerous to use the Ava protocols so early.
Possibly, but it has not harmed another ship yet and if they detect it we have excuses, continue your scanning. Also keep a hair trigger on the power on those weapons, I don't want to give them to large of an opening if they go hostile.
We hear and obey Master...

The Komtur gazed at the holographic display, nodding as his host pointed out the farming worlds. Upon hearing the question, he nodded once more and smiled. "Sounds good? It sounds wonderful! We, too, often have excess materials from our industrial processes. Many capital intensive goods, such as the raw materials for construction, we possess in abundance. The Landmeister of our nearest world will be notified of your arrangement, and he shall be happy to provide a shipment of raw materials."

The Kromulus powered down its shields and weapons, obviously understanding the need for a foreign dignitary to feel safe in some manner. As it made its way alongside the sphere, the Captain of the Kromulus sent an instructional message informing the sphere to follow his ship to docking procedure. Starbase Sigma had honestly never accommodated a ship designed in such a manner as the Blackened Sphere was. In all honestly this was something completely new for the Dock Chief to resolve and quite a challenge for the technicians to resolve down in the docks.
Attention: Sphere forty two of the Technonaut Collective:
Thank you for your interest in this conference. I would like to personally inform you that we may have complications docking your vessel into our docking assembly. We have honestly never come across your design specifications before. However, we do have shuttle craft available to accommodate any personnel needing to be personally transported.
In any condition, follow the Kromulus into docking arm three. There should be enough space there to rig any modifications needed to dock your vessel.
Conference Room
Alexander sat back down in his chair, the holographic image display fading away as he nodded slowly. The Galactic Federation has had enough time to itself to establish a grand network of resource colonies with many of which were currently being used for multiple purposes. Having a foreign power offer more resources in the form of raw materials was not really needed but Alexander understood the need for equal trade. In all reality he assumed the tonnage of foodstuffs being transported to Alderania and possibly any other worlds under its domain. His mind saw this as a need for those people and the Federation was extremely giving in such circumstances. Although, at the back of his mind, he did think the prospect of acquiring construction materials as beneficial.
Smiling, Alexander responded. "I believe that sounds like an even trade," he said while nodding, "seeing as our foodstuffs will be traded for raw materials and the like." He chuckled, "I do believe we'll allow the Grand Army Merchant Federation figure out the proper tonnage. I also do believe we have accomplished much in this short amount of time of our meeting and do so ask if there is anything else we could possibly place on the table?"
Captain Jager had remained silent during the exchange between Rite and the monk. The chain of planets and systems that comprised Oseaton Space was abundent in resources and farming worlds, but many had been damaged during the War of Unification. While he wanted to offer trade to these foreign powers, it simply couldn't be done. Everything that was grown or mined or manufactured was needed for rebuilding and recolonization.
Slowly Jager sat forward in the confortable leather chair and spoke. "I apologize, but I'm afraid I have brought no gifts to offer, as my ship was on patrol when we received the transmission to attend, however, I'm sure the Federation will correct this mistake once we have the opportunity to."
"As much as I wish I could offer bountiful trade and resources, I'm afraid my nation is still recovering from our past troubles. Many of are planets have been damaged quite a bit due to the vicious fighting. All that we produce is being put back into the reconstruction and recolonization of several worlds." Jager ended with a sigh. He had hoped to think of something he could offer, but there was simply nothing that wasn't devoted to rebuilding.

Alexander turned his attention to Captain Jager, nodding his head in understanding as he spoke. It was not surprising to find a galactic nation just recovering from civil strife and war. These things seemed to be common in the galaxy as of late, probably a sign of the changing times that Anagonia has been blessed to be separate from. It was the rightful duty of the Grand Army to be the supplier to both foreign and domestic needs. The main concern being domestic and the civilian populace, yet Generals and High Generals often allocated resources to foreign nations to assist and show the giving hand of the Federation. This seemed a perfect opportunity to present the Galactic Federation as a willing partner in such circumstances. Something Alexander refused to pass up.
"I believe the Grand Army can also assist you, Captain." Alexander nodded towards the two men, "The Grand Army of the Galactic Federation not only supplies domestic needs but often enough supplies foreign needs. In such situations, we do not act for the benefit of trade." He clasped his hands together, leaning forward for effect. "Our duty is to provide the civilian populace, that which decides the governing process in all things, with the needed protection and right to happiness and freedom. This also extends to our Galactic neighbors in the form of humanitarian aid." He nodded slowly, "I propose that a humanitarian aid agreement can be drafted between our two nations which would allow the allocation of needed resources to assist in your rebuilding efforts."
As Rite finished speaking, Jager was slightly taken aback by the offer. He had never expected such an offer from a nation they perviously had had little contact with. However, Jager himself recognized, not only the need for aid, but the opportunity to expand relations with obviously generous and friendly nation.
Quickly recovering, he spoke. "On behalf of the Federation I must express my deepest thanks and gratitude for this offer. Our economy has been experiencing some what of a drag due to the fact nearly all our precious metals and a vast chunk of our food stuffs are going to colonies and planets that were hardest hit by the war. Any assistance would be greatly welcomed. We will, of course, be willing to repay your kindness once we have reestablished ourselves."
"In the mean time, if there is anything your nation requires, we would be gladly willing to assist you and provide what we can."

Alexander nodded, smiling in return for the obviously surprise that was shown. Unlike most Galactic Nations, Anagonia enjoyed to expand its influence by peaceful means. There was always an ulterior motive in everything that was done. In this case, the hidden motive was to bring closer relations between a previous unknown neighbor and Anagonia. It would also provide, should the Federation build up this war torn nation, an ample ally to be called upon should a crises emerge. This wouldn't be stated publicly, of course. "I don't believe you'll have to repay anything anytime soon," Alexander said in a modest tone. "The Grand Army is here to assist any nation in need, especially those just getting on their feet again."
He seemed to pause, looking away for a moment, then inhaling quickly as he gazed back at Jager. "There might be one way," he said. "Perhaps we can initiate a Military Exchange between our two fleets and maybe...get to understand our differences better?"
Alderania
10-05-2009, 18:21
The Alderanian monk listened to the conversation between the two military officers. He could see the devastated lands of the Federation in his mind, and it pained him. He knew that the people would be struggling, and he knew also that the people would suffer without knowing the Divine Ones. Plus, he thought of the potential alliance this could bring about. Alderania was ringed in heathen nations, and she could use any help she could get to help fend them off.
The Komtur turned to Jager, and offered his own suggestion. "Our own people can assist your war-torn people. As you may have heard," he said somberly, "our own nation is experiencing a surplus of raw materials. Your people, so it would seem, would have a great need for these raw materials. The Order can spare additional materials for the Federation, but on one condition: the missionaries of the Orthodox Temple must be allowed into Federation space to preach their good news."
Jager was quite happy to hear the suggestion of a military exchange, though this time he tried to hide his emotions. "I'd be quite happy to propose the idea of a military exchange to the High Command. Years of fighting amongst ourselves has toughened our forces, but we can never truly gage our actions that way. I'm sure the High Command would be thrilled by the prospect of learning from your forces."
He then turned to the monk after he finished speaking. "We in the Federation strongly believe in the freedom of religion. If that is the only condition we would warmly welcome both your aid and your missionaries. Again, we will make sure our debts are repaid." He then turned to speak to both foreign dignitaries at once. "Your kindness will not be forgot, and it will not go repaid, I assure you." He then bowed slightly in his seat.

"Of course," Alexander responded to Jager. He then tuned in to the conversation between the Monk and Captain Jager, obviously interested. He smiled, watching how the two peacefully exchanged their differences and seeing that Jager's nation freely allowed the freedom of belief and religion. This was a good sign, for Democracies always assisted one another for the benefit of the whole. He stood slowly as they ended, slapping his hands together as he exhaled heavily. "Well," he said in the exhale, "I never expected the conference to get this far!" He smiled, spreading his arm's out to motion for the three present. "I know we have a third nation being represented, but to the three currently in this conference our ideals and desires for a peaceful coexistence cannot be denied."
He gazed at the holographic widescreen, pressing it and summoning up an image of Starbase Sigma. It currently showed the Blackened Sphere being escorted by the Kromulus, Alexander gazing back at the three after a moment of contemplation. "Would anyone like refreshments? Like to wait? Perhaps something more to discuss?"

Once again the monk was overjoyed at the prospect of sending missionaries, and even more ecstatic about the prospect of future converts to his religion. Though he avoided the extreme outward show of emotion that he had last time, there was still a deep grin etched into his old face. He ran a hand through his long hair and adjusted his robe, trying to help himself control his emotions. He finally responded in a high, jolly tone. "We are, once again, most grateful that a nation would accept missionaries from the Orthodox Temple. That is the most important mission of our Religious Order, to spread our faith throughout the galaxy, and this agreement today furthers this cause."
The monk had been sitting for far too long; he got up and stretched his legs, ignoring any diplomatic protocal that he might be violating. Though he was trained as a speaker, negotiations in this nation were done differently from his home. After a satisfying few moments of standing, the monk returned to his seat, but not before placing a holographic emitter on the table. He turned it on, and it project a map of Alderania and its surrounding nations. He switched to a low and somber tone, emphasizing the seriousness of the topic at hand.
"Centuries ago, our Order fought a war for independence against an alliance we felt was heretical and oppressive. The former members of this alliance are now bitter enemies, constantly eying each other across the blackness of space. We seek allies now to protect ourselves against incursions by these nations, and allies whom we can aid. Our Order longs to stand side-by-side other nations as equals, not a vassal to be controlled. We would ask that your nations be those equals."

Once again Alexander saw the happiness that the Monk displayed earlier. This time, however, he was somewhat pleased to observe it was well contained. When the Monk started to stretch his legs, Alexander thought nothing of it. Protocol had nothing to do with someone remaining as comfortable as possible. Anagonians were a people with common sense, after all. When the Monk spoke again, Alexander listened with intent as he observed the holographic emitter. It seemed to betray the Monks deposition on poverty, but he didn't think much of it as the words started to flow. After wards, he nodded again, smiling. "I believe the Federation can assist your people with a mutual defense pact," he responded. "It would be in our own interest to protect a trading partner."
"The Federation of Oseato would gladly be willing to provide military assistance to both your nations, especially after your offers of good will and aid." replied Jager after the monk had stopped speaking. "As I referenced before, The Federation has, sadly, be come quite adept at fighting, though it has always been amongst ourselves. We would be more than willing to help you fend off these aggressor states."
"I would again like to reiterate our willingness to engage in a military exchange program or perhaps an exercise. I'm sure we could learn a lot from your respective nations."

Jonaton withdrew the holographic projector into his robe and listened to the two responses, weighing their gravities. "The Religious Order is pleased with her newfound allies, and will be happy to stand as one with our new friends. The suggestion of a military exercise is a good one; the OrdenMarschall would agree to it, and perhaps even attend himself. It would be an excellent opportunity for our respective nations to grow as allies and learn to cooperate militarily."
Anagonia

Alexander continued to stand, hands behind his back as he listened to the two dignitaries respond in kind. The consensus seemed to be some kind of mutual military exercise that would somehow achieve mutual cooperation. Alexander thought this over for a moment, gazing at the holographic widescreen and pressing it on as he looked over the sectors. The Sigma Octavius sector would not be preferable for a military exercise, so Alexander had to figure out which frontier sector would be most beneficial. After a few moments, he gazed back at Jager and Jonaton smiling.
"Gentlemen," he smiled, "I believe we can arrange for a military exercise between military commanders of our three nations." He pointed at the holographic image, showing a sector of space two sectors separate from Sigma Octavius. "Here is Sigma Delta, the farthest Frontier Sector in this quadrant. I propose we start to plan an exercise here, since it is mostly dead space with a few barren planets perfect for ground exercises." He smiled, turning back to the two. "Any suggestions?"

Hmm, that worked better than expected. But this docking it could provide a problem.
Already on it.
Attention Grand Army Starship Kromulus
We have a much simpler solution, though first we would need to know if your conference room has a holo projector, if you do then we can greatly easy your dock crew's work load and our own concerns. We will only need permission to access your holo projector though if that is not possible then we can split off a section to dock with your station...
Alderania

The Komtur watched the holograph pan from the Sigma Octavius sector to the Sigma Delta sector. The desolate planets, away from the inhabited sectors of the space nations would be the perfect location for a variety of military exercises. Alderania had its own, desolate area of space, but very little in the way of uninhabited worlds with which to stage mock-combat. "Very well, the Religious Order agrees to a military exercise in the requested area. I propose that we take this military exercise as an opportunity to for the growth of all of our militaries in operational capabilities. The Order's military will likely learn many lessons in interoperability, itself."

Response:
We indeed do have holo-projector's in the conference room. The station is constructed to allow teleportation devices ease of access so long as Command allows it. Hopefully this makes things easier.
Conference Room
Alexander nodded towards the Monk, seemingly pleased with the response. He then proceeded to sit back in his chair leaving the holographic image up on the widescreen. Clasping his hands again he seemed to ponder for a moment, looking up. "I believe I can arrange for an old-style carrier to support these operations. It would make things simpler considering the technological levels present here." He didn't mean any insult, just truth. He smiled, "In any manner I do believe this will be beneficial for us all."
Now he waited for Jager's approval, and the newcomer who would be arriving soon.
Jager studied the sector for a moment before nodding and looking toward Alexander. "This seems like a great place. While the Federation has a few damaged planets and empty space, the damaged planets are in the process of being rebuilt and resettled, and thus would not make for a great place to stage an exercise."
"An old-style carrier, you say? I would be most interested in seeing one of these. I'd like to get to know your ships better, as I know our own fleet quite well, sadly."

Sector Sigma Octavius - Near Starbase Sigma
Starbase Sigma seemed to bustle with life as ships from surrounding sectors appeared from both Hyperspace and HyperWarp. The highest percentage of the starships were of the Acclamator Class, workhorse of the Grand Army fleet. Carrying supplies to adjacent sectors and docking with Starbase Sigma to resupply, the traffic never seemed to end. Occasionally one would see a fleet of Venator Star Destroyer's appear from FTL, drifting close to Sigma and then disappearing back into faster than light travel. The Galactic Federation had a keen military grip on this quadrant it seemed, so the dignitaries could feel nothing but safe from any odd events.
The hustle and bustle of the seemingly normal routine was interrupted quite suddenly with the appearance of an CVA Yorktown Class Attack Carrier (http://hawk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=96&page=1#407). Every ship entering now, and there was plenty, seemed to divert course away from the attack carrier as it made its way on sub-light propulsion towards the Starbase. It seemed to be an unannounced visit if anyone experienced in trafficking starships were present. The hard part seemed to be alerting ships already in FTL of the Carriers presence, while the CVA seemed to dodge and turn as ships appeared at random around it. After a few moments, the seemingly random appearance of starships near the starbase subsided. Anyone gazing at the outer regions of the sector would note that the traffic had been diverted there.
The CVA glided close to the station. Starbase Sigma was not designed to accommodate a ship of the carriers class, so it made position above the Station and sat still in open space as Sigma slowly rotated underneath it. The forward hanger bay located on the side of the "spear" at the front of the ship opened and what looked like a glorified Space Shuttle started out into open space under its own power. After a few moments, it guided itself into the hanger bay at the top of the Starbase. Someone important was inside who wanted to attend the meeting before things got off the ground.
Conference Room
Alexander had been startled when the holographic widescreen came to life with an alert coming from the bridge of the Station. He twirled his seat halfway and gazed at it, blinking as he seemed distant for a moment. The object continued to close on the station, the dot identifying it turning into a miniature of a CVA class starship. He breathed a sigh of relief, noticing a message in foreign symbols and language crossing the screen. He turned back to the conference table, seemingly at ease. "Gentlemen," he said proudly, "you will soon meet one of our finest Captains in the Frontier Defense Force."
Moments past, the shuttle from the CVA having docked by then and whomever was on board having enough time to be transported down to the conference room. Alexander beamed as the door slid opened, "Speaking of which!" He stood and walked towards the door where an elderly man with gray hair, looking to be from Russian/European decent, extended his hand and shook firmly at Alexander's.
"General Rite," said the man with a heavy russian accent. "It is nice to see you again." He chuckled, heavily. "I apologize for rude entry! My crew is new, obviously missing few beats of protocol."
Alexander chuckled, nodding. "Quite alright Captain," he motioned towards the table, "Care to sit?"
The man did so. Compared to Alexander, he was probably in his late sixties. Of obvious human decent his accent portrayed a lack of understanding upon the English language, more commonly referred to as Basic. The man in question stood a good six feet in height. He was of heavier build than Alexander and his uniform resembled a jumpsuit that had rank coloration's. As he sat at the table, he greeted everyone in turn as Alexander introduced their names. "I am Captain Vigor Rikorgish," he finally said. "But you call me Viper, as does all who meet me."
Conference Room
Shortly after agreeing to the join military exercise, Captain Jager turned to his aide, the intelligence officer, and motioned for him to come over. Speaking softly he asked the aide to send a message back to the High Command requesting that a few ships of the Oseaton Battle Fleet join Task Force 2 in preparation for exercises. The intelligence officer then left the room to head back to the OSCS Clarke to send off the message.
When Alexander introduced Captain Rikorgish, Jager stood up for a moment and bowed, as was Oseaton customs when some was introduced, handshakes were also a custom in practice, but since the captain had sat down a bow was much easier. Sitting back down Jager commented on the holographic image of the carrier. "I must say, it has been some time since I saw a design built carrier. Many of our current carriers are conversions from large colony ships or heavy cruisers, as our designed carriers were, sadly, destroyed during our civil war. They made for rather tempting targets, I'm afraid."
Regional High Command HQ, Planet of Seton, Oseaton Space
After reading the communique from Captain Jager, the Governor General met with the Regional OSC Admiral to discuss which ships to send.
"What can you spare?" asked the Governor General of the Admiral.
The Admiral was reading the message but put it down and walked toward a command table to access the lists of ships currently in port. "Well we have several cruisers and heavy cruisers docked here, as well as numerous frigates. We're expecting another rotation of ships here later this week so I think we can safely send atleast 2 cruisers, a heavy cruiser (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halcyon-class_Cruiser) and a few frigates to match up with the frigates already with the 2nd Task Force."
"Alright, go ahead and issue the orders." commanded the Governor General, who then left the room to report back to the Tribunal.
Across the Orbital Defense Systems around the planet of Seton, ships were readying themselves for deployment. Food stores were restocked, live weapon numbers were reduced and replaced with dummy systems needed for an exercise. Several new Wasp Interceptors (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/C709_Longsword-class_Interceptor) were loaded aboard the cruisers and the heavy cruiser. Several of the frigates carried extra supplies for the ships of the 2nd Task Force that were already near Sector Sigma Octavius and in route to Sigma Delta Sector. As the ships finished their preparations for departure, routine shipping was directed away from the area so that the risk of a collision when entering and exiting the local hyperspace was minimal. The ships then cast off from their separate orbital defense platforms and made their way to the designated area away from the planet before engaging their translight engines and entering the slipstream of hyperspace.

Vigor Rikorgish returned the bow to Jager, noting he had forgotten protocol entirely and not bothered in the slightest. He looked down at his wrist as he examined what looked like a watch device with a holographic display. He seemed to ponder, then gazed back at Jager and smiled a somewhat disturbing and cold smile. His expression betrayed a man underneath who knew a entire life's story about death and destruction, Vigor's outward expression betraying it all in the extreme. His eye's even hinted of it as he stared down Captain Jager.
"So Mr. Jager," he said in a broken tone. "Explain to me where come from." Seeing a slight hint of confusion, Vigor rephrased. "Where did you get expression of warrior, Jager?"

With the confirmation from the ship, the Sphere began to transmit its Ava protocols towards the station while keeping a safe distance.
Do you believe two light seconds is enough?
More than but yes.
The Master had scrolled through the various shapes and forms and had selected the particular one only moments before the confirmation had been received. It was a pale 6ft 7 in tall, humanoid covered in a striking green-grey power armor with a matching helmet with a striking golden visor that never seemed to come off, while the default would have had a male voice the Master had changed this to a more feminine tone(if seen red vs blue then think sister if not then think cortana) similar to the one it had before its cleansing and eventual promotion to Master.
Why do they always choose video game characters..
Hmm?
Nothing transmitting now.
Provided that the station’s shielding did not misaligned the transmission, a simple hologram would slowly began to form on the selected station’s conference room, at first it would be as wispy as the air but as time would advance it would slowly harden into a roughly human density and shape. Waiting for a few seconds, the Master started to talk in the control room his words transmitted to the ship. Also provided that the transmission was not screwed up, each member at the table would hear the words in their respective native tongues.
We do not understand why you didn't just use the regular galactic language.
First impressions are important my dear Overmind.
A faint buzz would also be heard at first as the transmission was slowly reinforced and data was transferred back and forth.
"Greetings, what did we miss?"

Alexander and Vigor both jumped in unison as they noticed the slow whisp of air form into a hologram. The shield of the station didn't interfere with transmissions currently as it was all but deactivated. Alexander simply gawked at the technology required to do this, knowing that the Galactic Federation had the capability but this was entirely something new. Vigor simply stared in disbelief before he shrugged and went back looking at the others. Finally, as the hologram spoke, Alexander smiled and waved a hand around the room. "Greetings! I suppose your the Technonaut representative," he said. "Welcome to the conference of nations. We were just discussing war games and had been discussing treaties and trade!"
Alexander leaned back in his chair, "I believe we can use another in the war games and I would be happy as I am sure every dignitary represented here to listen to the words from your nation."

War games?
Flaken for the most part, basically its war without the dieing.
Ah, why would one ah. We should go, learning their tricks.
Indeed, but it is best not to seem to eager, we hardly know them and suspicion would be very bad at this time.
Well get at it then.
We would if you'd stop distracting us.
"Sounds interesting to say the least, I suppose that you'd already chosen the spot?
As for trade we do not have a whole lot to offer, we are a nomadic race with only a minimal of possessions.
For treaties, we find that most either have other motives for even the kindest generosity or will stab you in the back once the balance of power has shifted though there are rare ones that do last their prescribed length so painting all in one swift stroke may not be a smart idea.
Was there any other discussion?"
as the Ava continued to talk, its programming continued to worm, first probing seeing if the station had any AIs that may threaten it, if none were found it would then relax for a time before diving into other systems, first it would try to access records pertaining to the conference, if that proved easy enough it would branch out from there...
Anagonia

"True enough," replied Alexander without the slightest hint of being insulted. "However the Galactic Federation prides itself on making treaties for the benefit of peace, not backstabbing potential allies." He turned around and gazed at the Holographic widescreen, standing to press against it as he displayed the sectors again. "We'll be having the war games here," he said pointing, "in Sigma Delta. This sector is barren and the worlds are lifeless, therefore the perfect place for any type of military practice exercises." He turned around towards the holographic projection of the Technonaut, smiling.
Computer Core - Starbase Sigma
A vast network linked by sub-space pulses created an uncanny flow of information that spanned the Sigma Quadrant from every starbase located from beginning to end. Starbase Sigma was just one connected to this network, it's core processing and assimilating trillions upon trillions of terabytes of information per second. It would have been obvious to most inexperienced hacker that trying to enter such a vast network would provide its source of problems. Considering the Military protected and maintained this flow of information, often with top-secret material, safe-guards were in place to ensure that the information went to the right people and stayed out of the wrong hands.
The first line of defense were the Operators that maintained the network. Considering that half of these were organic, this line of defense was full of holes against a computerized opponent. This was where the non-organic defenses came in. Droidekans (http://hawk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gi&action=display&thread=17&page=1#398) made up the other half. They were sentient robotic lifeforms recognized with full rights within Anagonia. They also worked in every area an organic did, including the Military. Starbase Sigma held fourteen of these Droidekans, three of which monitored the Network. The first two didn't catch the advanced array of signals, but the third did. Darka, Supervisor for the technicians on his level, caught the advances and alerted the proper channels. The message went all around, finally returning to Alexander Rite whom sat in the conference room and was alerted via his personal PAD.
Conference Room
Alexander Rite maintained his smile, "Excuse me one moment." He looked away as he grabbed his PAD from the side of his uniform belt, gazing at it. Vigor raised an eyebrow, excusing himself as he gazed at his PAD. Both looked at each other, then at the holographic image of the Technonaut. Alexander spoke on behalf of his station first. "Respected Dignitary, if you wish information about the Galactic Federation you are free to inquire about such." He gave a serious expression, "However what you attempted to do could be considered an act of hostilities, but I will overlook this as a foolish mistake." He started to walk closer to the Hologram, standing face to face with it. "If you desire any information non-military related," he raised an eyebrow, "all you have to do is ask me."

Subtle.
Shh, you know very well what the Ava program entails. Seems it dived in to quickly, going to have another look at that programing, is Treva still around?
No, it was cleansed a fortnight ago and didn't survive past the initial stages, we still don't know what the Alpha was looking for.
And probably never well unless you become the new Alpha.
That would be a sad day indeed, the destruction of over forty spheres. Now I believe they need an explanation.
Already working on it.
The Ava closed its eyes as it received the sudden burst of information, the sudden influx of information and new coding was tantalizing, the brief flirtation with the vast amount of information had already wet its appetite and it so wanted to retrieve more but its orders had been strict and to the point and it couldn't see any real wiggle room.
"My Master sends his apologizes, we always test the defenses of our hosts and victims searching for weaknesses and strengths, we prefer the relative unknowness of our position and contacts and don't wish to part with it very soon. I have also been ordered to stay within this unit and not try to breach your protocols at the moment. As for information where to start, hmm
How many planetary systems do you currently hold ie settled?
How many systems do you claim? What is it in light year radius? Is it a sphere or some other easy to define shape?
Have you explored the black hole that resides in this galaxy? If so what did you find?
What is your most current estimate at your current population?
How many are humans? How many are synthetics? What is the current status of your synthetics? Are they enslaved or free to do as they will? Average lifespan of the various species?
Do your planet's specializes in specific elements, ie farm planets, industrial planets or are they self sustainable?
Does your homeworld still exist and if so where is it located?
Do you know of Earth?
Which frequencies of light and sound does your species normally see and hear in?
What sort of tolerances do you have.. to light? to gravity? to atmospheres? to alcohol? to sound? to touch? to taste?
How does the majority of the species in your worlds reproduce? The minority?
Where you created by another or evolved on your own?
What is your current tech level on... railguns? shielding? missiles? sorry that is more military, what is the best FTL available to your citizens? Do you even have Faster than light travel, what about commutations? sensors?
Do you prefer spheres or cylinders?
Red or Blue?
If two plus two is four what is sixteen?
What or is there a meaning to life?
How long did it take to advance to your current state of technology? have you stalled at your current level if so how long?
Have your expanded outside this galaxy? if so how far, if not why not?
Is your primary solvent water or something different?
Does your planet have plants? If so what wavelengths do they absorb and reflect?
How many unique plants and animals have you cataloged?
How many unique religions do your people follow? Do you have a constitution? Do you have freedom of speech? religion? information?
When was your current government founded? How many civil war? How many wars in general? How many wars of expansion? When was the last treaty you broke, what was it? Do you have a legislative? chief executive? Do your people vote? Which age do they start? What are the requirements? Can immigrants votes? What and how tough are the immigrant laws? Refugee laws? Asylum? How many allies? How many enemies? Terrorist groups stationed in your area? Last attack?
Is military service mandatory? If so how long? If not how do you keep a level high enough to police all of your planets.
Finally(at least for the moment ;) ) should we trust any of the above answers?"

OOC:
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Man I'm lovin' it.
IC:
Alexander stared as the onslaught of questions came upon him. He blinked, Vigor blinked, and he knew just about everyone else did. Slowly he started to tilt his head, eye's wide in a priceless expression seemingly trying to keep up. As the Technonaut finished, he seemed to keep his head tilted unblinking. Moments later, he breathed deep, straightening his head. Then he replied.
"Seventy-two and counting on both counts with our sphere of influence reflecting our territorial borders with other nations," his voice quickening, "All information concerning the territory can be gained via the Library records at any guests leisure." He exhaled, inhaling and speaking like someone who was at an auction. "Concerning the other questions," he stopped inhaling and... "Yes, not enslaved, freed with equal rights. At the center of the Galaxy we met someone named Dave. Evolution is the prime theory considering scientific research, though faith-based creationism is acceptable under freedom of beliefs. Yes, we came from Earth and met these other species over here. Civilian FTL is HyperWarp. Spheres are pretty, so is the color blue. Biological questions available in guest library. Specific questions available in quest library. Twelve plus four equals sixteen, forty two being the answer to the question of life. Reproduction information is available in quest library. The meaning of life is forty two. Government questions available in quest library. Probably not because I'm speaking too fast to be trusted right noooowwwww!"
He gasped deep, panting, then smiling as he gazed at the Ava. Every word previously spoken came out like a machine gun. He seemed unphased except for his heavy breathing, chuckling now. "Does that answer your questions?"

13-05-2009, 00:42
"Truthfully? No, but this "guess library" you speak of will likely answer them and the others my Masters keep sending me. They've also notified the Alpha of our orders and they've agreed to participate in your "war games" at the conclusion of this meeting, our sphere and if you allow it another will be the Technonaut's entries." Are you sure? Yes, the Alpha is very interested in this species for some reason and what they can and can't do. I thought they were still busy... We can talk later, this line is not as secure as we would like. True.
"For some reason or another, the Alpha has been shown to have a key interest in your species and wishes to participate in your games and also truthfully this greatly concerns us, our Alpha does not adventure far and has not for many decades..."
