Documentation regarding our policies on civil liberties and democratic freedoms have been leaked. We have two forseeable options, in my opinion.
One, Deny the rumors, and condemn the memos as fake. Whilst I do not beleive having a fiercely militaristic state would be of any concern to the world, It would most probably make us more allies in the world if we were to be seen to be at the very least, civil.
Two, Accept the leak as true, and adopt the humanitarian beliefs for the nation as soon as possible. You have already outlined that you will act as the vessel for the will of the Unholy Lord, and as such your word is final, but adopting this stance officially is a big deal. It may server to sever any future connections with other nations, if they knew of who they were getting involved with. On the bright side, it may also prove to make us some friends.
The kind of friends people like us need.
