VVER-1200 in the Yantar region. Once of the first VVER reactors built.

Construction of 3 new VVER-1200 reactors, are near completion. They will be used to power 2 new settlements and a chemical plant, currently designated CITY-1, CITY-3, and Chem-1. These new locations are expected to be completed and occupied by mid summer, with the reactors beginning operation exactly a month before. This is in effort to reduce the number of coal and oil powered stations, and will soon replace the obsolete RMBK style facilities throughout the nation. Several protests were held against the new facilities, but were dealt with shortly after.

It was announced that the 2 week-long exercises will continue for the 23rd Motor-Rifle Division based in Treneska, despite the conflict in neighboring Kolgujevska. While the Division was in the Urstanian Military District, they remain under SRChP command due to the city being on our side of the border. The 23rd is one of the all-volunteer formations, and thus a full readiness group.

Late this morning MVD spetsnaz and Militsiya raided the building of the Old Nationalist Party in the Uzlovaya Oblast, making a number of arrests. In the process, there was a shootout which left several ONP members dead, along with 3 Militsiya officers as casualties.

Of the 30 arrested, 5 were militants, which will face the death penalty. The remaining 25 will face charges on other accounts, including sedition against the government. If found guilty of the charges, they will face a maximum of 30 years in a corrective labor camp.

Kommersant News article-

Rumors have circulated about the strange occurrences at the CITY-12 project site. As you've read in the past issue, over the last few weeks a strange reoccurring fog lingers over the area, which during that time several construction workers would seem to vanish. Today, MVD and Militsiya cordoned off the area, after a further 15 people disappeared, including a senator from the Kavkaz region. It's suggested that a special forces team will go in on a search operation once the fog subsides. I had the chance to speak to the MVD officials of the Chelyabinsk Oblast, who refused to comment about the situation regarding the missing persons, but said that they expect to have information to release publicly in 48 hours.

Militsiya Patrol report from Lt. Lenin, prior to cordoning of all roads in

At about 6:00 hours, Me, Ivanov, Puzikas, and Chernenko arrived at the military outpost outside of the area where the new city would be built and proceeded to patrol the outskirts of the city. After returning to the outpost at 18:00, along with a number of day shift construction workers, Puzikas and I stayed behind at the post, while Ivanov and Chernenko took the car back to the city along with a senator, and the night shift bus trailing behind. Around 2:59 we ceased receiving radio communications after the fog came around [the soldiers were anxious about it, and called it in]. After about 30 minutes, we loaded into the GAZ-66 that was at the outpost and proceeded down the road to where we located the vehicles. The soldiers radioed back, and created a perimeter, while Puzikas and I examined the vehicles. It appears they made an abrupt stop, presumably from zero visibility conditions. There was no evidence of any type on conflict, and the shotgun was still in the car. No electronics in the vehicle worked, however, and appeared to have all stopped around the same time. Due to the missing senator, a Mi-24 gunship with an air assault team arrived shortly after, and they searched the area, finding no signed of anyone. We pulled out at the MVD's request at 6:08, and then they closed of the area.
