OOC: Returning

Stoklomolvi

With my initial hiatus after my civil war gone, I feel that the time is right for me to return. Well, maybe not. But whatever. Greston needs someone to argue with him. :p

If I return, I will come back as the Stoklomolvi Federation. Gone, will be the Communist Dominion. Truth be told, there will be little difference; the state will still control much of the economy, political freedoms will be few, but the control will loosen and political freedoms will increase. Gone will be the dictatorship. Socialist state is more the goal now. No longer will there be the Soviet Stoklomolvi. The liberals won the war. Still, the remnants of the old state will remain.

Sweeping changes will occur.

Communism D:< will have to change to Socialism D:<.

Now I have some kind of antithesis again. Or something.

GLORIOUS SOCIALIST REVOLUTION D:< o/ o/ o/

Was I essentially the largest enemy of /d/? This big, corrupt, evil, communist empire that stretched across Asia? :p

Welcome back, Stok. Yeah, I had a bunch of witty banter about you and Greston, but jolt totally ate my post and now I'm too pissed to remember what it was...

I remember confusing you with Leichstur so that I wrote Leichstung at some point. Baghhh. It's worse than Vetalia and Vetaka.

I blame communism. BAM! I'm definitely going to be overusing that one..

#d is too lazy to worry about who our enemies are.

Aw, man, and I was just catching up on Third Spanish States' war and thinking about ramping-up the anti-Bolshevist rhetoric and storming up from the sub-continent to show the false-Communists what for! :)

Socialist/Communist infighting = lulz.

That's their position on economics, period.

It's more like Anarchism vs. Communism, in the long term.

Also, that's too bad...

I wanted a Stalingrad :(

Wait, "the state will still control much of the economy, political freedoms will be few" means Third Spanish States still have a good pretext for "fighting against the State capitalist pigs of Stoklomolvi". Of course this will, if ever, begin as a RP right in the middle of the next RL year or later.

I have established the fact that my cabinet will largely remain the same save for minor changes. For instance, the head of state will pass to Mikhail Alexeiovich Stuyonovich, another one of his sons who is essentially the same person, while there will be a new position known as the "head of government" or "Prime Minister" who will be Grigor. The Foreign Minister position will pass to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the Civilian Affairs/Management will go to Grigor's son, and the KGB position will be dissolved and replaced with the KGB. The first was Комиссариат государственной безопасности, while the second will be Комитет государственной безопасности. Little fundamental difference, though the "concept" will be changed. Dmitri Anatolyevich Medvedev will head this department.

Due to the mess left behind by the Civil War, I will have to reestablish/reopen diplomatic ties and negotiate a new treaty/trade pact/alliance/etc.
Greal

I guess I may have to reestablish ties. But don't your communists label me as their worst traitor ever? :(:D

The communists hate you with all their power. And worse, one of Alexei's sons is in power. While the liberals are in power, none of the former communists, who constitute nearly the entirety of the remaining population (2 billion or so), like Greal. In fact, they hate it.

Hmm...I never interacted with you though I've heard your name tossed around the #d grapevine and read some of your threads. I suppose my government would probably take a guardedly optimistic view of the new Stoklomolvi; while we're ardently anti-anything resembling collectivism there would probably be some who would take the line of "we'll toss you weapons/money/favors/open trade if you make a concentrated effort to move toward a free market."

Well, the new government has yet to formulate an opinion on your nation, or really any other nation. I wonder how your new government will look on our new government?
Stoklomolvi

We'll probably slowly edge towards nationalisation of crucial industries while free market controls luxuries instead of nationalisation of everything except munitions. We'll be like RL Russia. Extremely angry, but rather silent.

The new government has no stance on a government run by children. :p

The last one might be a problem :)

And since my government too, has changed positions, it also has yet to form an opinion of you Stock? Does the same apply back to me?

(OOC: I've been out of the loop for two years, while I lived in Australia and actually had a life outside of NS (sigh!), but now that I'm back in Britain, I've bugger all else to do but catch up... Stoklomolvi is in Asia, yeah? Any specific part? A lot of it, I think. But, I mean, I consider that BG covers India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka... would that fit with you, or would we have to 'suspend disbelief' a lot more in order to interact? Most Beddgelens (my people) would be upset by anything perceived as a retreat from Communism, in any form or degree! Sorry for... whatever's wrong with this message, I have been packing away the cheap vodka, tonight :) )

We still maintain high relations with allies of the former communist government, since the "liberal" government is not really all that "liberal." It's a dictatorial democracy; you have a ballot, though all candidates are secretly tied to the ruling party. The others are killed in mysterious "accidents."

I think we would have a clash over Aksai Chin and South Tibet/Arnuchal Pradesh (sp?), but other than that we're good. :P Huzzah, vodka.
