OOC:
Ok, this is a declairation thread, please only post if you wish to support one force or another

IC: Thrughout the Varian Galaxy there was a buzz of activity. Massive fleets numbering in the thousands massed all along the outer edge of the Galaxys beta quadrant. As they met the fleets merged, massing into 15 huge forces, hundreds of thousands of ships, over a billion dragona, all massing for one purpose. Operation 'fly swatter', also known as the cruisade to destroy Charzak.

But the empire is not wholey unfair, even as the fleets jumped to transwarp a message was sent from the closest outpost to Charzakan space

Attention pitiful 'empire' of Charzak
This is your first and only warning.

You have been declaired 'zezhuanth faku irlym' with full concent by all those who have the right to do so.

For this reason you are warned we are now at a state of war.

You have one chance and one chance only to surrender, that chance is now.

Baisicly its to try and pound the message into him (cause im plesant that way) that he cant do that..

"This was not our intention."said Admiral Deltev." Send out a peace transmission."

Quote:
To all craft curreently in the area. We do not wish to fight a battle but our intentions were to board this new craft and greet the people of this nation with open arms. We are sorry for any trouble and are preparing to depart immidently unless of course you wish to open negotiations with us. We fealt threatened and were only powering up our weapons in defense."

"Call all fighters back and prepare to jump to Home 1 above Charzak"

OOC: This is typical of Charzak. Go in all guns blazing, untill someone points out they're going to assimilate him if he goes any further, and he craps himself and changes his tune. If you've seen the New Axis Powers thread, you can see another example of this.

I'll inform Uiri and discuss whether we're still protecting Charzak. If not, i'll delete my posts and you can crush Charzak without worry of us coming along and stopping you.

He's not the only one of these nations - if you've seen any threads relating to the nation Roef, you may already know we've been trying to knock some sense into him, but no luck so far.

The Enlightened Nobles of the Confederated Protectorate of United Races have convened and are currently discussing how to get involved in the matter at hand. Presently, the Noble Council is torn as to whether there would be honor in leading a campaign of conquest against such a cowardly nation, or whether hosting peace talks between the factions in conflict would be more respectable. One of the key factors in the debate at present is whether or not Charzak is willing to defend its planets.

Upon the realization that their planets may still be protected by allies, the Council of Nobles is leaning strongly toward the declaration of war. However, since the leadership of Charzak has yet to respond to the initial ultimatum, the Confederated Protectorate of the United Races of Golugan will refrain from any immediate military engagement.

OOC: You should say it IC, then. I Hate You Want To Kill You, apologies for the confusion, I'm trying to be on your side, but I cannot in good conscience as an RPer post your nation name as written.

OOC: That first bit was addressed to Ustio North. As for your name, do you have an alternate name that's more... IC?

IC:

The Neotaur Pentarch of the Noble Council has broken off from the main fleet to coordinates in an uninhabited neutral system between the territories of Charzak and those demanding their surrender. He wishes for a representative of the latter party be sent to the system so that the two nations may coordinate military tactics should the leadership of Charzak prove to be honorable foes in the defense of their territory.

OOC: Yea, the Dragona.

IC: A single sca'uh ship droped out of transwarp and transfered back down from red to yellow alert. "We are here, what is it you wished to discuss. Please be swift, war leaves little time for talk"
Golugan
25-09-2008, 18:48
The sca'uh would find a rather extraordinary sight upon their sensors and visual systems. The ship, a Horizon class capitol ship, looked like an immense disc that had a slight arc to it. Atop the disc, surrounded by the walls formed by the outer ring and encased above by a simple vacuum window, was an idyllic scene of an immense plain dotted with forests, with a small sea at the center into which surrounding rivers fed. Across the valley, there were floating citadel cities to monitor the farmlands and pastures.

The Dragona ship was met with a hail from the capitol ship. "The Neotaur Pentarch wishes to meet with one of your leaders to discuss tactics for military action against the Dishonorable, as well as to gain a better understanding of the character of your people."

"Then it shall be done. I will represent our people and provide you with what records we can on our people"
Golugan
25-09-2008, 19:08
In response, a cerulean bead of light formed in front of the vessel, which almost instantly expanded to a ring of energy large enough for the vessel to pass through. Although the occasional ripple of energy arced across the interior of the ring, the view was that of the valley, as seen from within the field. At this point, the sca'uh's crew may note a matching ring of energy within the field.

"The Pentarch will be with you shortly upon the plains of his homeland. Tradition normally dictates that one party boards another's vessel, but since we aren't familiar with your races scale compared to that of the neotaur, The Pentarch thought that demonstrating our primary transportation and defense system would be more efficient."
Ih8uwannakillu
25-09-2008, 19:14
"Then i will embark imediatly" The ships captain said, setting off at a sprint to the hangerbay, 3 dark knights following him.

3 minuits later 4 venerable fighters shot out from the arched fore-section of the Sca'uh, going straight for the 'hole', passing thrugh it into the air above the plains (I'm assuming thats what would baisicly happen) and hovered around, waiting for permision to land.
Golugan
25-09-2008, 19:32
The fightercraft come through over a rather flat section of plain, what appears to be a farm without anything growing upon it. After the craft are given authorization to land, a gate roughly ten meters in diameter forms on the ground level. The first two beings to step out have to duck their heads to get through, the emmense exosuits taking on a centaur-like body shape, and wield greatswords scaled to their emmense bodies. The third figure out makes the reason behind the shape apparent: Clad in a breastplate and wearing barding on his lower body, a the lion's equivolent to a centaur steps through the gate. standing a fair bit over three meters, the Pentarch's arms resemble his legs more than human limbs.

After he steps through, two more Honor Guards of each race come through: the symbiotic two-man exosuits of avian and mer, forming a serpentine body that flies through the air on shaped gravitics before coming around to gesture over the energy gate. Minotaur, standing smaller than their neotaur counterparts but with emmense claw gauntlets and backside artillary pieces. Finally, a pair of humans step through, with wrist mounted energy cannons on their exosuits as well as jump jets on the back and ankles.

Once the gate closes, the Honor Guard forms up around the Pentarch: Humans directly adjacent and standing slightly taller than the Pentarch himself, neotaur adjacent them. Minotaur stand vigilant behind the humand and the Pentarch, while the avian-mer float above, arcing their serpentine lower bodies slightly inward to direct focus on the Pentarch.

"Hail and well met. I am Kahrel, Neotaur Pentarch. May I ask who it is that I address?"

Charzak, from a quick check of your NS page you have 510 million people. If you didn't have a lot of ships, thereby making your wanting to go to war a dangerous idea by leaving systems open to be OM-NOM-NOMed by others, I suppose you could have one or two. But your a bit young to be have one of those, much less more.

First of all, Dragona/Ih8, if you don't like what he is doing, making a war thread is not going to help. If he is wanking, attacking him is only going to end in him wanking up the wazoo, an OOC bitchfest going down, and the thread dying a horrible death.

In response, four of the blue-rimmed gates formed surrounding the initial vessel in a compass pattern. Four more of the Horizon class capitol ships arrived, each one bearing a different setting. It should be noted that, unlike the gate the Dragona fighters came through, this one didn't filter anything the gate couldn't process: In this case, direction and gravity. One had a dusty valley dotted by lakes and rocky spires. A second was almost all aquatic, save for a central island covered in farmland. The third was an expansive flatland ladden with rivers and the occasional tree. Finally, the fourth ship of the new arrivals sported farmlands bordered by rivers that flowed toward the edge of the environment in an emmense island, centered around a mesa which had a completely urbanized top.

The central ship in the formation, of the original Neotaur Pentarch, responded to the hail. "From what we have observed through secondhand accounts and our own remote observations, the government of Charzak appears to be operated by malicious opportunists who seek to prey on those weaker than they, but back down as soon as a genuine threat makes itself present. You are without honor, and your nation would be better off under new management. If you attempt to fire upon us, we will assume you have refused the offer of surrender and respond accordingly."

@V: OOC: So with my 5 capitol ships and 4.4 billion population... Each one is as strong as 880 standard capitol ships?
Telros
25-09-2008, 20:32
Well, Charzak, your posts don't seem to reflect that. From the two displayed, it would seem you were rping an arrogant, tyrannical nation bent on conquering places.

Also, no. The pop on your page is not the pop of your home planet. It is the population total that you can use for military. The power and number of your soldiers and ships comes from it. If you have more than 5% of it being soldiers not at wartime, we all expect that your economy would suffer, since the upkeep on those is pretty harsh. And if you have more than 510 capital ships, they'd be weaker than average NS capships, since most people do 1000 capships per billion. Less capships you have, say 200, the stronger they are. More, 600, weaker. Clones and droids also count towards your pop, since we had both be abused in times past.

1) fine, though I took that as "let's attack" and I'm sure you would've if I'd not said 'no'
2) that was your first line, before anyone threatened you. You came on as hostile for no apparent reason, you threatened destruction, and you said 'boarding party.' If that was supposed to be peaceful, you need to word it in such a way.
Telros

OOC: Not sure what you meant by at V, Golugan, but...

I don't go with numbers, not many do. But if you ONLY have five capitol ships, and the rest in cruisers, destroyers, frigates, what have you, then yes, you have powerful capitol ships indeed. They could technically take those on, I guess. That is not considering tactics, and weaponry used on your ships. And what you work out between players. Cooperation is key.

Charzak, you definitely jumped the gun in that thread. Seriously, you didn't even give any backstory or intro, you pretty much said, "I'ma shoot you now" with no background. This is a big no no under any circumstances. When you join an RP thread, throw down some back story or a little introduction... at least a small intro paragraph. You responce wouldn't have been so bad if you at least given the other posters an idea of where you were coming from. Now, if a heavily-armed warship just randomly jumped into my planet's orbit with charged weapons, I'd definitely hail them and demand an explanation, possibly call for parlay. If they disregarded such an attempt at diplomacy, then I'd have no problem roasting them and their ship in my planet's upper atmosphere. However, you've got to nararate a little for us when you post. Who is your race/nation, what are they thinking and doing? Emotions, reactions, actions, etc. If you don't your race can come off as a one-dimensional species of nutbags that just needs to die...

Fair warning, jumping into a thread and acting like your FT nation is King Lionheart Godpants the Third by toting your supposed technological superiority and pulling stunts like that is a good way to get shot up in FT, cause as the wise Jedi once said, there's always a bigger fish... and if not that, it's a fast way to get kicked from a thread.

Meanwhile the Charzakan( correct?) fleet entered the system and the Sca'uh was instantly on red alert.

Unless you are here to surender then you should run as you always do, our reinforcement will be here in 6 minuits after thier recon sweep is finished.
And indeed the reinforcements had droped out of hyperspace when the Sca'uh opened negotiations. A message was sent also to them as it was sent to the Charzakans.

Kahrel gave the Captain a closed-lipped smile and a small nod as he came out. "The honor is mine. My position seldom lets me stand beside true warriors, and from what I've heard of your people's motives in this war... I did not think that there were others left who maintained the ideals of nobility in deed."

Before the Captain could reply, though, a holographic visage of a hermaphrodite creature vaguely resembling the angels of human myth appeared overhead. "Pentarch Kahrel, enemies are upon us, and the Sca'uh is at risk of being caught in the crossfire. Permission to move them so that we are between them and the Charzakans?"

Kahrel looked between the avatar of the ship's artificial intelligence and Captain Gren'jii, then turned to face the latter. "Avatar, inform them of our intentions to intervene for their safety, and that they should prepare for a minor displacement, potentially with acceleration if the Charzakans open fire before the displacement is complete."

The avatar nodded and dispersed, and an energy gate formed adjacent the Sca'uh, interceding between it and the Charzakans and showing the space beneath the Horizon capitol ship on the other side.

Pentarch Kahrel then turned his attention back to the discussion. "I hoped to open the discussion of tactics by explaining our traditional methods of attack, but it seems that we'll instead be demonstrating our abilities. Unless of course, the Ignoble back down." The neotaur then looked upward at the starry sky above, with a clear view of the hostile fleet assembled against them.

Please transmit coordinates so that I may make my presence when the ultimatum is given to Charzak the Second."

OOC Note: The reason it's called a Horizon class is that, if it landed on a flatland, someone standing near the middle could look all around them and assume the ship had eclipsed the entire sky. 1000 capships per billion. And support ships, the smaller one, have to be a decent scale to the capships. The less capships you have towards the most you can have, the stronger they are. The more, the weaker. And if you have EXACTLY the amount you could have, they're average.

OOC Agreed with Telros, The stickies are the "rules" of NS as it were. I would consider restarting this thread and reconsider my military sizes if I were you. After all neither side can really have hundreds of thousands of ships. If you do restart and reconsider, also follow the rules, you could wind up having a very enjoyable first FT war. Also I would consider just keeping it between Ih8uwannakillu and Charzak, as this is really the first "majour" war you two will be having.

Just a little advice for you guys to make things smoother and easier for you both, and give you a better idea of how other people do things.

Also I thought it was just 1k ships, not just cap ships. But if it is cap ships then yes you can have alot more ships..if you use alot of smaller ones. [I count my pop numbers for all ships myself, the only ships i dont count are my HMAF's, one man frigates. Anything with a crew over 5 i count as a full scale ship.]

The Captain then sat down at his command chair. Was he really going to start a civil war just to stop a larger one? Yes he had to in order to regain his nation's honor.

I regret to inform you that the Super Dreadnaught Razgriz will not be able to join us due to peace talks with another nation. However all other Charzakian vessels except for 10 cruisers have agreed to help us. We also have reports that these ten vessels are under the command of Emporer Charzak the Second himself. He has attacked Home 1 and they are currently requesting reinforcements. All allies if you wish to help jump to the coordinates I sent you and prepare for a fight.
Captain Thi Gor was relatively happy with his forces. He only wished that Admiral Hekan Deltev was here to lend them the aid of his ship and coordinate their battle plan.

Federation message to Charzak:

The Terran Federation has seen your plight, the aggressive dragonians will not march on your capital un scathed or at all, the Terran Federation has officially declared its support for your country and will be sending the eighth rapid reaction fleet.

President mike Logan

Eighth Rapid reaction fleet 2300 hours, the start of operation Vigilant Justice…

Admiral Richard Huge senior stood on his bride looking out in to the utter darkness of space, his eyes peering at the countless stars that dotted the void, the holo port switched to the view of the fleet gathered behind his ship. He smiled as he saw hundreds of ships ready for departure.

The older yet thin and semi muscular man sighed, placing his hands crossed behind his back, he looked over to the strategic avatar that flickered in to existence next to him , he nodded and said with a commanding voice.

“Fleet status?”

The Avatar responded in a soft smooth voice that echoed through out the large command center.

“Ready to depart Admiral.…”

Huge nodded and turned back around to face the holoport, the ships bridge was large lustrous and silky. The blue soft lights emphasizing was the chrome and white coloration of the walls, deck, and holo consoles. Behind him every one was getting ready to depart, officers and enlisted personnel were all manning their stations, and the bridge was rather silent taking into account the amount of bustle going on. A few moments passed, Huge’s feelings were organized after a split second of inaction. He quickly snapped back and looked over to the soft skinned holographic avatar standing next to him, he said with a loud and commanding voice.

“All-right, we have the coordinates for the Charzak home world, and we are ready to depart.., I want you to order the fleet to jump over their world in defensive formation, and if we see the enemy force, give it every thing we’ve got… put me on speaker …”

A blip was heard as the avatar began to relay orders and various commands.

Huge began to speak standing tall looking out in to the void of space as the fleet began to depart slowly, the ship reverberating with energetic noises as its engines charged up..

All right men and women, we have been called upon by our government to help defend a nation against hostile attack, this nation we have been called to defend may not have the best of records, how ever they did back down and no one was hurt, this invading nation has violated their sovereign territory, and we must not allow that. Nations should respect each other war should be only a last resort not a first one. We’re going to be out numbered heavily, it won’t be an easy fight, but by god will we see it through to the end. They don’t call us the Gryphon fleet for nothing. Any ship of ours that gets hit we make sure five of theirs get destroyed. A former Earth bound leader uttered these famous words in the midst of a cold war… that I will utter now. Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind. War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today”. I will add d nd until that day comes we must work by any means necessary to stop the unnecessary bloodshed facilitated by war, nations should work together rather than fight it is up to us to prevent un necessary bloodshed today. That is our prerogative, and enforcing peace is our objective.

Huge said this as the fleet began to depart, bursts of light filling the darkness of void, crackling portal with tendrils of energy reaching out in to the darkness engulfing massive ships of war….

Over the Charzak home world several hours later, space was ripped apart by white and blue crackling vortexes of energy, out of those vortexes hundreds of ships jumped out, their smooth sleek bodies portentously dwarfing ships of smaller size, their forms emphasized by the light of the sun as they rumbled over head. The ships came to a stop in a defensive formation awaiting a reply from the government bellow…

A lone transmission came in on a single band, directly at the Charzakian ships.

This is Johnathan Desna, leader of the Black Sword Mercenary Company. We'll join in on your side if you agree to let us have junking rights on destroyed ships and cities. We have two hundred ships and 200,000 soldiers standing by. What do you say?

*At the other end of the line*

A little more than two hundred ships of the Black Sword Mercenary Company sat waiting for the order to attack. Mostly frigates and cruisers, about 10 Battlecruisers and 15 Warpcruisers, plus three dreadnaughts circled around a bright yellow star, along with two hundred troop transports.

Johnathan Desna sat at the helm of the largest dreadnaught, the Wrath of Green, a large, powerful ship. He tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for a message back.

The Minotaur Horizon moved quickly as the Charzaks departed, forming a large gate over the disc through which to pass through. The gates didn't adjust for momentum or direction, though, so the capitol ship needed to use gravitics to adjust for local spatial shift before making the next jump. It took three more systems before the Pentarch's flagship arrived at Home-1, its very presence eclipsing the sun from the eyes of the people on the surface. Kaza Tuk smiled as her observed the planet and assembled ships in the sky above him, and spoke the words for the ship's AI to transmit. "I am Pentarch Kaza Tuk of the Confederated Protectorate of United Races of Golugan. We ask that those forces loyal to their Emperor stand down so as to avoid the needless loss of life."

With that the Dominion fired its super laser at one of the enemy cruisers. The laser hit the target as it turned to flee. The laser ripped it in half completley destroying the vessel.
Launch all fighters.
Suddenly the captain noticed something strange. A faint glimmer of light then a giant explosion. He looked back to find the Extractor almost ripped in half!
Laser fire from the surface! The Extractoris going down!

Aboard the Horizon, the Pentarch and the ship's avatar were playing a board game of sorts with a holographic set on a holographic map. The largest piece, broad and narrow, was colored gold. Swarms of other pieces had an icon of a blue reptile's head above them. The remaining pieces were shaded gray.

That is, until, the signal came. Then the gray pieces shifted to two different colors. Some had an upraised yellow fist above them, while others had downward pointed red arrows. An aura of pale blue surrounded the yellow disc, and the holographic angel looked at the minotaur sitting across from it. "Your move."

Nodding, the minotaur stuck his fingers into the hologram, dragging the pale blue aura to various ships with the red arrow marker. In immediate reply, the Horizon began applying gravitic pressure to the shields of the selected loyalist ships. "Bring their shields down, launch the human exos and tauric questors in the first wave on to vessels we neutralize the shields of. Start on the opposite side of the enemy fleet from our allies, so we don't lose boarders to friendly fire."

"Yet another civil war?" Space Marshal Razial Foju Sythdol Balslyzz sighed. "Lesser races will have their little tussles." The two capital ships floated side by side, both Fortress-class Dreadnoughts. Both were emblazened with a scarab with an eye on its back, marking them as ships from Battlefleet Scarab. Balslyzz (http://www.bigbaddaddyvader.com/Grievous_original.jpg) pressed a few buttons on the arm of his Command Seat, bringing up a 3-D Display of the planet of Charzak and the battle overhead. "A number of enemies. Most are pathetic, but these-" He waved his fingers over the Dragonan, TFU and Golugan craft, changing their color from blue to red. "- all represent a possible threat." He paused, weighing up the possibilities in his cybernetically enhanced brain, before he slapped the arm. "We shall side with them. Send them a message, set the targeting systems and jump in."

Thye dragona ships now enterd the fight, getting the jist of who was who and swarms of Rippers and Shrikes banked around the loyalist ships, giving the nuke a wide birth , and blasting away with thier magna arrays, saving thier heavyguns incase things turned ugly.

The warfortress and the few remaining ships* with them remained at the back of the fight, firing 1 or 2 pot shots at the loyalists but mostly organizing the 'wings' of escort ships*

ooc: Ok, it is my understanding that you could class things such as battleships, carriers, dreadnaughts (and subsiquently super dreadnaughts) as capitals, correct? That being the case i have revised the fleet composition, not the fleet numbers, hence why i say the remaining few ships, but ill get onto that in a moment.

As it is I have about 20 capitals (going by that guideline iv just said), the other 129ships (i have edited the numbers of the 11th groupe on page.. 3, least i think it was 3) are Shrikes and Rippers and then the Warfortress which is my (weaker) version of a super star destroyer such as the executer.

One of the remaining eight cruisers soon lost their shields to the crushing grip of the Horizon's gravitic systems, and energy gates began to form around the unshielded vessel so that friendly fire would bypass them through the gates. A simple hail was given out, as well as targetting coordinates for the new arrivals. "This one is ours to bring down."

Aboard the disabled vessel, energy gates began forming. Out of the gates poured three different types of troops: The minotaurs, clad in platemail and wielding a combination of battleaxes and wrist-mounted railguns, bellowed out a call to battle to signal the charge in key areas of the ship such as engineering and the command deck. Leading the charge were neotaurs, six-limbed brutes a head and shoulder over the minotaur of lionlike form clad in platemail and barding, wielding greatswords like lances so that the personal energy shields projecting from the guards would take the brunt of hostile fire. Filling out the ranks behind the tauric aliens were humans, clad in exosuits that put them at ten meters in height, armed with ion cannons mounted atop their wristblades and equipped with jump packs.

Depending on what sort of defense Chazrak loyalists could muster against boarders, the cruisr could very well come under the command of Golugan.

OOC: Retroactive correction: The human exosuits are ten feet, not ten meters.

IC:
If the grunts were to try to form up against one of the human exosuits, they'd have the best shot of surviving. The ion beams were meant to take down machines, but could still inflict intense pain. Of course, the exosuits had personal shielding on the head and torso, and the speed to close the gap to bring their wristblades to bear, each the size of a human torso.

Those coming across minotaur questors on their own had marginally better odds of killing their foe, horribly worse at surviving to speak of it. The bovine humanoids, head and shoulders over a human, would not stop charging through the halls and rooms until they found crew that would fight back. A battleax in each hand, they would lead the charge by flicking their hands back while pointing their wrists at targets, firing magentically proppeled slugs the size of acorns before closing the gap for a bloody melee. Not as well protected as the exos, but the endurance of the minotaur saw them through to inflict casualties even if the soldiers could form a line and fire in time.

The most resilient and deadly stand alones, though, were the neotaur questors. They galloped upon feline claws down the halls, bearing their greatswords like lances, a meter and a half along the blade and a foot along the grip. A flick of the wrist upon sighting enemies would cause a cerulean barrier of light to spring forth from the sword's guard, an anti personal shield that allowed the noble beast to close the gap before spearing a kill, cleaving toward his blade side while arcing his charge toward the right and rearing up, using the claws of his forepaws as weapons to fight on two fronts at once.

This, of course, was only in the instance that any such soldier was alone, which was the case in corridors to small to fit multiples of such beings. In hangars, in engineering, on the bridge, in the ship barracks, squads consisting of three human exos, a minotaur, and a neotaur would secure the areas. Overall, the boarding party consisted of one hundred each of human exos and neotaur questors, and two hundred minotaur questors.

Aboard the Horizon, the Pentarch observed a holographic map of the active scans of the cruiser. "Second wave: Human and aven questors, guards, and technicians. Have any who surrender transported to Holding Facility 3 via energy gate. This is a revolution, not a war, so I want minimal casualties on both sides."

OOC: Problem solved, Charzak. Prepare to make your people fall in love with Golugan.

IC:

The avatar of the Horizon observed the immense blast of energy bearing down on the surface of the planet. The AI was sophisticated enough to handle a net gate area equal to that of the widest plane of the gargantuan disc, along with enough gravitics to keep it airborne in the atmosphere of a small gas giant. It could contemplate for decades in a matter of seconds, and knew how to prevent the beam from inflicting massive civilian casualties.

Two energy gates formed. One gate was wide enough to surround the beam, channeling the energy through and out to the opposite side of the planet, firing away into empty space. A second gate, notably smaller, formed in front of the displaced blast, gating some of the frontal energy back on target before the smaller gate was destabilized by the energy. The ammount set on course now would be enough to address the surface facilities. Just enough.

The Dragona soon received a hail from the minotaur Pentarch. "By the Founders, what were you doing firing such a weapon upon the planet surface? Have you no concern for the wellbeing of civilians?"

The CFRP then moved into high orbit. The smaller ships defended the cruisers, dreadnaughts, and super dreadnaughts while they launched their dropships. Once all the dropships were launched half of the fighters escorted them to the planets surface where they met up with a Sekat force. Troops deployed are 30,000 grunts and 1,400 commandoes. The Sekat forces are 10,000 grunts. From scanning enemy forces are about 100,000 to 150,000. After the drop the Captain ordered all remaining Charzakian ships to destroy the loyalists. Two fell to the combined fire of the fleet in a matter of seconds. The last one was destroyed when Home 1 opened fire. Only one ship remained and that was soon going to be under Golugan control.

"In the immediate, perhaps, but the irreperable damage to the ecosystem could have very well made the planet uninhabitable! We will discuss this further later, have battles on three fronts to coordinate." With that, Kaza Tuk turned his attention back to the boarding operation. There were casualties, as were inevitable, but the ship was under their control, and aside from the two hundred and ten men of the military nearly all the crew was willing to stand down before the awe-inspiring might of the Golugani soldiers. Speaking of...

On the planet's surface, near where the Coalition ground forces were assembling, energy gates began to form. From the frontal gates, ten meter neotaur exosuits strode out, each wielding a grandblade, the equivolent of the neotaur greatsword scaled for these great machines of war. As soon as they stepped through they held their swords out and slightly upward in a sort of salute, forming a line of energy shields that could whether anti-vehicle fire.

The rear gates, by contrast, brought out minotaur exosuits. Eight meters in height, the presence of the minotaur's ramlike horns was removed in favor of the ends of a pair back mounted artillary cannons. One was an immense ion beam, of the same grade the Questor corvette used in ship-to-ship combat, and the other was a rail gun used when arcing shots were of use.

Other gates then opened, filling out the ranks between with human exos and a new sort of exo, this one with two pilots. With two large arms ending in ion beams and a pair of seemingly vestigal limbs for landing, the twelve meter winged serpent seemed a single emmaculate being. In reality, the meravian symbiotic exo was piloted jointly by two beings: An avian to handle flight controls via gravitics, and a mer to handle weapons operations and operating the energy gate system within the exo.

"Ok so here are the entrance points to the city" he said pointing at three places on the map. "They only placed Imperial Tanks at the entry points. So I think we should be able to break through their defenses if we concentrate our anti-vehicle forces towards our front. However if I know the Emporer he surely has a surprise waiting for us. So I propose we go with this plan. While the Neotaur exos and Charzakian commandoes concentrate on destroying the tanks the mervian symbiote exos can open gates for the Charzakian grunts, Imperial Tanks(our side), and human exos behind the enemy. Once they are through and have destroyed the enemy the minotaur exos can commence bombardment of the remaining enemy positions to prevent any counter attack. Do you agree with this ummm... what was your name and rank again?"

The human exo nodded as the General went over the plan, then responded when addressed. "Garret Bulkin, sir. I don't really have a rank, the exo pilots are militia. The General then trotted up to the front line. "On my mark we charge. Gates open 1 minute after we go in. 3, 2, 1 CHARGE!"
The General broke into a run as well as the rest of the commandoes. Imperial Tanks and exos soon followed. When the enemy came into sight proton bursts began shooting out from the enemy tanks. The allied tanks responded in kind obliterating at least three out of the visible 15. When the commandoes were in firing range they opened up with a salvo of proton launches and laser fire. The exos behind them helped the fight emensly as the Charzakians could see they could take a lot of punishment. "Gates open NOW!"

A bright red flash appeared a small distance from the planet, an cone shaped object hurtling out of it, hurtling towards the planet. It suddenly deployed what looked like another thin cone, attached by diamond-tether strings before it hit the atmosphere of Charzak, the thing expanding and buckling in with the air. Four panels flipped up, retrorockets slowing it's descent. Within seconds of hitting the atmosphere, a great roar of fire sparked up around the pod, before the pod slowed, cooled and smashed into the ground, the tip of the cone drilling seconds before entry. After the pod had dug itself into the ground, so only the airlocked flat top remained, the circular airlock hissed open, with 8 'Swooping Vulture' Marines (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r52/Critters_2007/BSG/BSGDOOM.jpg) hopping out. The leader checked his HUD/EWS/LRC device. The co-ordinates were good, the pod had dropped near enough to their target, but not in it (That had happened to him a few times, and he had a symphony of injures to show for it). He barked an order in Templarian, and the squad fell in on him, activating their SIAC Personal Stealth Emitters, their mass becoming invisible to the naked eye and thermal sensors, but the relatively large EM field they gave off was an unfortunate giveaway to any army good enough to afford EM Seeking goggles. The group moved out, heading towards the fighting in the capital.

OOC: The pod was moving really rather fast and is really rather small, before you complain about the pod not being shot down. The only thing that could have shot it down is an extremely good Laser Mine defense system, or some really badass pilots with really badass interceptors.

After the initial strike point was eliminated, the minotaurs began bombarding one of the other Loyalist positions, focusing fire to contain the forces there. They were deliberately neglecting the other position, though, since the Dragonans had taken out the largest position.

The Coalition General, meanwhile, received a hail from Bulkin on the field. "Sir, the meravians report that the interior of the palace is within range. If it isn't shielded, I suggest gating some forces in to capture the Emperor. I doubt the Dragonans will let him live to stand a trial."

Back in orbit, the commandeered cruiser began using its weapon systems to disable other cruisers that had lost their shields to the Horizon's gravitic systems. Although boarding action would have meant more glory and chances to earn honor, this would minimize casualties on both sides.

The fighters overhead launched their proton torpedoes at the door of the palace destroying it. The Coalition forces moved through the door and began their search for the Emporer.

Along with the coalition forces went 50 silver arrows armed with tag guns, firing lock-on tags on any loyalists they encountered, allowing the rippers to transport them with ease.

The coalition forces moved through the giant building in 10 groups of 10 of the best fighters from Golugan and the Charzakian forces. The rest stayed outside to guard the perimeter. A group of 5 Charzakian commandoes and 5 human exos led by General Raktak moved toward the Emporer's quarters. They broke down the door only to find the Emporer's Elite guards surronding the Emporer ready to defend him. The coalition force moved towards the loyalists and began firing upon them. The elite guards moved forward pulling out laser swords (think lightsaber from Star Wars). The coalition forces deperatley tried to kill them but the 4 guards were more then a match for them. The guards killed 4 commandoes, and 3 human exos. The General, seeing his comrades cut down pulled out his own laser sword and began fighting with the guards. He killed one of them stunning the rest so that the remaining commandoes and exos could kill them. The Emporer stood huddled in a corner. The General said to him "You are under arrest my lord for crimes against all nations of the stars." The General escorted him to the door when the emporer pulled out a dagger and stabbed the General in the back. The commandoes and exos turned to him weapons powered up. "You will protect me untill i get out of here." Suddenley a laser sword protruded from his chest. The Emporer fell to the ground dead. The General said this before he too passed on "And so a mad man falls." The General then died. The remaining coalition forces mourned the loss of a leader and friend. The next ranking officer transmitted this messege to the Captain above the planet.
Victory has come but at a terrible price.
So ends the Charzakian Civil War.

20 dreadnaughts
1 super dreadnaught

"SO it does in deed. Let these events be a lesson to your people. Be happy that in the end your warriers faught well and have earned an impresive position in Kashir." the response came.

In the palace several silver arrows sped around the corner and took in the scene "Deces ssifisv douta spritu, Raktak" they said as one "This bloody buisness is over, and the mad man has fallen. We take our leave of you both, rest asured the fleets will withdraw, as will we. Anstak qe mrith wux" and they were gone in another bright white flash of light, as were all the dragona troops.

The two rippers acended and met up with the rest of the fleet before they colectivly jumped to transwarp begining the day long journy back to the Varian galaxy.

Kaza Tuk snarled as the Dragonans left. "Avatar, track them. I want the commander who ordered that shot fired be brought to justice for war crimes."

The avatar nodded. "We could catch up with them before they reach their home system if we recall our forces qui-"

"Send a Questor corvette, and transmit the following. It should explain why:

"On behalf of the United Races of Golugan, and as personal representative of the Minotaur Nobility, I offer my sincerest condolences for the loss of General Raktak, and all the Charzakians who fought with honor and pride upon this day. If it be wished, we will remain behind to help facilitate the transition into a new leadership as peacefully and smoothly as possible."

ooc: i am gonna create a new thread for the election please continue this there.

"We thank you for your concern. We would wish for you to remain behind in oreder to provide additional security for the elections of a new Emporer. No one would try to disrupt them if additional forces were here."
