"Currently the situation, day by day worsens in Arcicana, as the Civil War continues. The four different warring factions wage war across the nation as strife, hunger, and death are common factors in the nation. With more, we go to our Corespondent in the Field, Heather Norton. Heather?"

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a350/SWATguy528/Darfur_refugee_camp_in_Chad.jpg

"Thank you William, indeed the situation is critical here in this refugee camp near Upington, Mandorvia. This camp, suited for twenty-thousand refugees holds more than sixty-thousand, at this present time, as food, water, and facilities are scarce throughout. However the situation inside the nation, broken by war, is far worse than can be imagined."

[Video feed of combat in Windhoek (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLdZM49KWWU)]

The atmosphere here is tense. Screams, Crying, and Gunfire are a constant in the former beautiful Capital city of Windhoek. Fighting between the self-proclaimed government of Enu Munashe and the United for Liberation Militia or the UOL, has control of over sixty percent of the city, killing anyone with former ties to the government. No quarter is given in the city, as corpses of men, women, and children lie throughout the city executed for refusal to assist in the ranks of the combatants. Prostitution, Illegal Narcotics, and Genocide are common place in the city, as children as young as five are forced into the mixed combatants."

"In other parts of the country, with the Munashe-Government holding the western coast, and strips of the country, and the three large militia groups holding their respective segments of the country. With the Airport receiving a maximum of a single flight a year, and ports in disarray by the Munashe-Government internal supplies are slim-to-none. Food shortages are common, more frequently to internal cities, and medical supplies haven't reached locations in other selected parts of the nation in years. Rape, is common with women and children as young as three years old, and forced slavery and military service are all common factors in the nation."

"Luxuries are also don't exist in this nation, as water and food are the most important things to find, along with ammunition and weapons, as chief imports into the nation. For exportation, comes illegal narcotics, illegal slavery including child slaves, and rare minerals including conflict diamonds. Gasoline is only present in the mixed fighting groups, and scarce at best as along the west coast are the only locations that have any means of electricity, and infrequent at that. Medical Professionals and Law Enforcement don't exist, with Militias holding their own territory by force, and purging all those whom refuse to accept their ruling. With Genocide claiming the lives of over a hundred thousand people, and hunger at ten times that, the nation is at a state of war, death, and total anarchy."

Reporting from Upington, Madorvia, this is Heather Bligh for ANN Networks.

"Thank you Heather. Recently, due to news from Arcicana, the Government has stepped up the Military, as a Naval Group whom recently returned home for review and training, was re-deployed in a Blue-Water action for unknown purposes. With that, forty-five thousand Marine Corps and Naval personnel alike are being redeployed from bases to Military Staging, along with reservists to their ordered stations. It is still unknown to why the call to sudden action is, but we will keep you..."

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a350/SWATguy528/BreakingNews.jpg

"We're receiving news from the Presidential House, in New Liberty. The President is giving a speech in reference to the recent military deployment, and the reason for such action. We go live to the Presidential House, Press Room in New Liberty for Coverage of the Speech."

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the President of the Alliance Star Confederation."

The President briskly, walked over to the podium, and took his place giving a brief smile, and a nod to the cameras before speaking.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Alliance Star Confederation. I have heard your cries of a call to action in the horrible situation of Arcicana. We have a responsibility to answer those calls, for the service of our nation, and aide another in need. People are suffering, hurting, and dying for the fact that they'd rather live in peace than fight in a pointless conflict. Hunger is rampant, Children are forced to kill, and the nation is torn apart by greed and lust for power. So, I have indeed activated the Military for their first foreign action, since World War II, and I call upon all nations to aide us in this effort.

We might be new into the International realm, and we might not be too familiar to those nations, but today we united say as a nation that we refuse to allow a fellow human being suffer for another day. We'll continue to brief you as the time comes along.

Thank you, and God Bless."

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a350/SWATguy528/PresidentDeploysTroops.jpg

"Again, a speech from the President James of the Alliance Star Confederation, which has confirmed suspicions of the recent military deployments. We'll keep you informed as time goes along, including International Reactions to the actions of the President's call to action. Coming up, Military experts size up the actions currently..."

Official Communique from the Empire of the Wolf

Those of us that live in the civilised world forget the pitiful depths that the lesser nations can sink to. As much as I am disgusted at the levels of barbarism to which Arcicana has sunk, I am also reminded that it is our duty to educate the savages of Africa in the correct mannerisms of humanity. I therefore authorise the deployment of the Rapid Pacification Force to confront the decaying situation within this nation, and offer to place them under the command of the soldiers of Alliance Star, who have shamed us all with their rapid response to the crisis.

May we always march in His Pawprints

The man jogged down the hall of the CMH to the commander in chiefs office, he knocked of the oak doors. "Come in." The man entered, "Sir, have you seen news? About the civil war in Acicana?" the clerk stood holding the papers. "Yes, what did the president say?" Th clerk looked suprised. "He gave a speech saying that we are deploying peacekeeping forces on behalf of the OFWS." "Ok well lets mobilize the 1st fleet, the 2nd rapid reaction force and the 12th armored. Get them to Arcicana ASAP." "Yes sir.!" The clerk hurried back down the halls.

Avenue of Heroes, Megalopolis One

The soldiers of the Empire of the Wolf were accustomed to being deployed to somewhere they had never heard of on next to no notice for no seemingly good reason, and this was especially true for the Rapid Pacification Force. Specifically trained to be flexible and to be deployed anywhere in the world within 24 hours, the RPF thought that they had truly earned the motto "First In, First Out" because they usually got redeployed fairly quickly when more substantial forces arrived.

In this case however, the RPF was able to enjoy a farewell parade before they left. The Wolven government was growing less and less popular these days, and needed all the PR stunts they could pull off to maintain their sagging approval. So the men and women of the RPF shrugged, put on their dress uniforms and polished their parade Ka98s, and marched down the Avenue of Heroes, a mile-long road leading straight to the Megalopolis Primary Aerospace Complex that was lined with statues, museums and recruiting offices. This day it had another component, a huge crowd that cheered and waved excitedly at the soldiers as they marched past. All of the families of the RPF had been given the day off to come and cheer their loved ones on, and many did so with tears in their eyes.

At last the soldiers passed through the gates of the Aerospace Complex and quickly made their way to a large hangar where they all stored their dress kit and changed into combats and took out their 'real weapons', as one private called them. Pressed tunics were exchanged for combat smocks, spit-polished shoes for blackened boots, bolt-action rifles for AVIR assault rifles and steel helmets for kevlar composite ones. The rest of their equipment and vehicles were already loaded, so after the last of the soldiers took their seats in the bulky Ilyushin transports, the RPF was ready to fly.

People crowded the docks to say goodbye to their fathers, sons, brothers, uncles. Men that were putting their lives on the line in someone elses war. It was a good cause non the less. Thousands of men marched onto the ships and planes on their way to the warzone. People on the shore waved and blew kisses to the leaving men ans the ships moves off into the horizon. At an airport several planes flew by overhead. This was going to be quick, easy and they would be home by christmas, they hoped.

The goverment of Markiana will send around 800 men to Arcicana to give the people medical aid and also will provide food and water. 4183 Kilometers Away from Target Destination
Strike Group Three (Russell P. Kramer Carrier Strike Group)
Alliance Star Confederation Navy
02 September 2008; 1658 Zulu

The ocean was a crisp dark blue crashed along the ASV Russell P. Kramer, as the ASV Interceptor pressed along in a far distant east, maintaining a safety net around the Carrier and center of the Operations, along with four fellow Destroyers, and a pair of Cruisers and Submarines. A pair of F/A-18Es screamed over the Krammer, operating in a CAP formation, along with two other pairs of F/A-18Es, and a E-2 Hawkeye. The weather didn't play any resistance as rain was reported for their arrival at their pre-designated coordinates, however the travel itself was unhindered. The Captain held firm control of the vessel itself, as a rotation was soon to come, with members of the deck crew exhausted of the heat of jet exhaust, and sunlight reflection. He scouted out with a pair of binoculars, as he scanned the horizon searching for what wasn't there.

The Super Hornets continued to remain slightly vigilant, as they eased slightly from stress, with assumed knowledge of a lack of hostiles for quite a while. The E-2 also in conjunction with the Carrier Strike Group, coordinating with the Island and the Command Center, as well as the pair of Cruisers any passing information, which were fighter and vessel positions, and weather patterns at best. Fuel Consumption was monitored, as well as radio chatter, as the Captain specifically entered into communication with Rear Admiral Mathews. The Rear Admiral in the Command Center preparing plans and gathering information about supporting forces for proper communication and logistics support for related forces. He made frequent use of satellite feeds, as Global Hawks and Predators would be frequent after the securing of their first airport, as well as carrier-launched UAVs when in range.

Shortly trailing and in frequent Communication, was the ASV Leo Amphibious assault ship, along with the ASV Saratoga Amphibious transport docks and the ASV Liberty Dock Landing Ship. Those came under the escort of a pair of Destroyers, a Submarine and Cruiser, as one of the F/A-18E pairs made frequent incursions into their airspace, providing a light fighter protection wing, in conjunction with their Cruiser for local airspace Command and Control. Within another three days, the vessels would be in range for their strike upon the shores of the nation.

02 September 2008; 1756 Zulu

The New Brittonian Carrier Strike Group began to make its way closer and closer to the shore of Arcicana. While HMNBS Lysander and HMNBS Nick Bottom were just slightly behind the HMNBS David Flower. Meanwhile, the submarines, HMNBS Oscar Wilde and HMNBS Horatio Alger were in the general vicinity of the Strike Group. While E-2C Hawkeyes, with F/A-18 backup began to make regular intrusions into Arcicanian airspace for surveillance purposes. Meanwhile, it would be important for cooperation as the ships became closer to Arcicana, and closer to invade.

Jabim, Angenteria

Hovering in the skies of the port-city of Jabim, a helicopter bearing the markings of the Imperial Guard slowly descended onto a helipad. As it neared the ground below, it's rotors began to slow, finally coming to a stop as the helicopter touched down. The door swung open, and a man in a military uniform stepped out.

Major Beije gave his commander a sharp salute, the honor guards behind him snapping to attention.

The commander, Colonel Tomas Honsou, commander of the Angenterian 42'nd, returned his salute.

"Major, with me."

"Yes, sir." Beije replied. He turned around, addressing honor guard. He shouted to them, with a booming voice "Dismissed!"

The honor guards snapped into action, turning and marching away with parade ground precision.

----------------------------------------------------------
5 Minutes later...

"So, let me get this straight." Beije said. "We're mobilizing to undertake peacekeeping operations...where?"

"A country called Arcicana." Honsou confirmed. They were both seated in the Colonel's office, alone. Honsou leaned forward.

"Apparently, a civil war has broken out, with many atrocities being committed by all sides. Lord-Minister Reginus believes it would increase our standing in the world if we supported the international peacekeeping efforts. So, the Lord-General Militant chose us to do it. He has sent a detachment of navy ships to pick us up, and they are currently anchored in port."

"I see..." Major Beije replied. The idea of going to a place he'd never heard of and risking the lives of good men and women didn't really sit well with him. But it wasn't his place to question his orders. He did what he was told to, and that was that. He stood up.

"What are your orders, sir?"

"Mobilize the regiment immediately. I want everyone aboard those ships ASAP."

"Yes, sir!" Beije replied. He placed his officer's cap atop his head, and saluted. After which, he headed out the door, to pass on the information to the troops.
Santheres

(OOC: Picture of my hometown, Angenteria. =D And AS, I trust the number is low enough?)

In a tiny village in Arcicana, just outside of Keetmanshoop, Captain Celino Gallo sat in his locally-tailored clothing, his sidearm tucked beneath his shirt, and an AK-47 slung over his shoulder. He had been in Arcicana for awhile now with his Alpha unit, those soldiers who were trained in covert tactics and negotiation. Over the days since Santheres had gotten secretly involved in the conflict, his hundred-man team had slowly come over the borders into FROAM-held territory to broker an alliance and better train whoever they could.

Alphas were the kind of people who drove unmarked vans, flew black helicopters, and could walk into the woods and never be seen again unless they wanted to be. This time, they were helping to train FROAM militia -- especially those pathetic combatants, many of whom were too young to handle an assault rifle or too old to shoot straight. It had been slow going, especially as they tried to avoid anything that could have possibly been a camera. They couldn't be seen and indeed they hadn't been at all.

Celino looked up at the soldier who sat down across from him. "Hmm?"

"Hey, there, Gallo," the man avoided using ranks, "looks like the Coalition is, ah, sending troops here."

A smile tugged at the corners of Celino's mouth. "Really? How many?"

"Ah, that much I did not get. We're working off Santherese news, mind you, so all I got is that they're mobilizing the 3rd Expeditionary. No way in hell they're fittin' over a quarter-million troops here, though. Uiri and Ustio are sending some, too."

Celino nodded. "Know what all we're up against?"

"Ah, also unknown, really. Restoration is pretty big. Might be why Santheres is gettin' the entire 3rd ready. Just in case. Be devoting a bit too much to this backwater hellhole, though."

"How's FROAM?"

"We got maybe one company of soldiers trained to our standards, but 600 just ain't gonna be cut it. Ah, we'll do better, though. Might be making a march on PMA once we get reinforcement. We white, yet?"

Celino shook his. "Negative. We ain't white 'til you see Gendarme walking through that door." He picked up his drink and downed it. "You know, I'm starting to get used to this moonshine."

He stood and left the soldier at the table to get the bill. Passing out into the street, a FROAM technical drove by, kicking up dust. He waved to them and they immediately straightened up and tried to look professional. He grinned. They hadn't done much in their time in Arcicana, but they could at least inspire better soldiering in some of the militia. Not many of them, but some and anything was a definite improvement.

Once the troops arrived, things would be better. They could get to policing, set up some hospitals, and help the locals get back on track with their lives. Unless, of course, Restoration forces destroyed the progress they were already starting to make. Then who knew. Celino only hoped that Santheres wouldn't face open war. There was a difference between fighting in some podunk villages and defending Santherese shores.
Uiri

"Shhhh!" the commander said. It was the dead of night and eight Rafales were going to launch from the airbase located on Lake Malawi. They would fly in over Kirav's South African colony and bomb the capital, flying over FROAM territory. They would launch GBU PAveway II's at any buildings they chose. Each plane had ten of these essentially laser-guided general purpose bombs.

Flying the lead of the eight was a native Bantu. He had been recruited along with others from the area to join the Uir Armed Forces and serve in the defense of their protectorate. He had been told that the people in the place he was flying to were trying to conquer Africa, starting with where he was flying over. He thought he would be killing people who seeked to kill his people. Whether or not that was true was debatable.

This particular pilot was 17 years old but to be a pilot he had to have recieved a lot of training. It was quite obvious he had been recruited at a much younger age. This case was probably true for all of the Bantu serving in the 8th Brigade of the Colonial Corps. It was sad but what the Uir felt was even more sad was that this was as close as they could get to being civilised.

IC(secret and open, you know which is which): While many nations scrambled to begin peacekeeping operations in Arcicana, one nation watched with dismay. The Totalitarian State had military 'advisors' operating inside Arcicana, training the Government & Military of Enu Munashe in hopes of getting the nations natural resources. It was through these advisors that a message was sent...

Encrypted
"Recent trends in the international community shows that intervention is imminent. Intervention to disfavor all currently involved major factions. The Armed Forces of the State* will be deployed to protect you too the best of its ability. RPT, international intervention to come within 2 days to a week.
END

Official Statement From TSRT Government
"The TSRT has long believed in a strong, central government for all nations. A civil war is the opposite of that goal. It is with a spirit of international cooperation that the Armed Forces of the State will be deployed to protect and aide the people of Arcicana. Deployment orders have already been issued for the relevant units."
End Statement

The orders had indeed been issued only hours after the statement from the Alliance Star Confederation, deployment orders had come in to the relevant units. These units were already at sea, steaming towards Arcicana at cruise speed. But there were not just units at sea. There were also the airborne units, 60,000 men and their equipment were being flown all the way too an airstrip in Enu Munashe territory. The airstrip selected was also near a major port which the Red Tidean fleet would use too get ashore.

The airborne units would, in public at least, be the first foreign troops too arrive.

Angenteria City - Official Press Conference

"Brothers, Sisters, many of you may remember the Angenterian Civil War, which ended only 30 short years ago." Emperor Marcus Riektal began. This was his first press conference as Emperor, and he wanted it to leave a good impression. He was situated on a balcony on his palace, with a massive crowd of people had gathered below him, all just to get a glimpse of their Emperor. "It was nothing short of a tragedy. People from all sides suffered. Siblings fought siblings. Sons fought fathers. The lives of many were sacrificed all to preserve my family's bloodline. For that, you all have my eternal gratitude. Now, civil war has come to the country of Arcicana. This nation has split into many factions, all vying for control through the use of violence and bloodshed. The atrocities that are being committed in Arcicana must not be allowed to continue. Will we allow another country to fall down the same path we did all those years ago? No, we will not. It is our duty to see that the Arcicanan people do not suffer the violence and bloodshed we had to live through. In order to ensure this, I have authorized the deployment of the Imperial Guard to the nation. They, and many other like-minded nations, will ensure that the violence in Arcicana is stopped, and peace and order restored there once and for all."

His speech was followed by cheers from the crowd. Marcus stepped back, smiling. He had shown his people that he was a strong Emperor, one his people could count on.

The Imperial Navy ships surged forward in perfect formation. They had entered Arcicanan waters, and were approaching the shores. Recon flights launched from the INS Retribution had made a preliminary overview of the area of intended disembarkation, and were just starting to return. Deck crews bustled about as F/A-18's and E-2 Hawkeyes began to land on the deck. International fleets had already entered the area, and seemed to be busy doing the same.

"Thank you and good evening. I'm William Frank, reporting from Porthos, Capricorn Tonight we start with news that's spreading like wildfire throughout the International Community. The Arcicana Civil War. Tonight, we take you live from the nation itself, with an updated live feed from the nation. Our reporter Heather Norton, reporting from Windhoek, Arcicana. Heather?"

_________________________________________________________________

"Thank you, William. Indeed, with the announcement made by President James just a few days ago, the conflict in the nation itself has increased, substantially. Recently, we've seen in this nation, what can only be reported as outside agendas as aircraft have begun bombing campaigns in the city, as obvious by the sounds of screams of jet engines over the city. Without any means of detection equipment or RADAR available in the nation as a whole, it is unknown whom desires it so. The conflict in the city has worsened, as all people that are not aligned with either side, are killed on site, with blame shifting to the other factions for the attacks, with the Government of Enu Mashe suffering the worst. In retaliation, he required all males in his cities join his forces, or face death, as well as requiring all women to work in place of the men. With the quick and serious augmentation to his forces, the self-proclaimed leader of Arcicana, made way to eliminate FROAM as his primary objective, allowing some relief from their attacks toward the Capital."

"The atmosphere is similar nationwide, as more and more children, men, and sometimes women are conscripted into service, as news of International Intervention is becoming widespread, where the Restoration Forces aren't the primary concern, but the nations vying for the nation itself. It is indeed becoming a conflict that is attracting the attention of the world, as more and more lives are lost everyday, and the count is only getting higher. Only time, and future actions will tell what will happen to this nation, as tensions grow internally, as well as Internationally."

"Reporting from Windhoek, Arcicana, this is Heather Bligh for ANN Networks."

"In recent light of International hostiles in the nation, the Alliance Star Confederation Department of Defense has recently stepped up calling up on Reservists and redeploying Active forces throughout the nation, and preparing for possible combat. Transport aircraft have been rallied, and called to use like never before, as armored vehicles and infantry pooled around airfields along with pilots and support crews. There's still no official announcement, however it is reported of several support vessels inbound toward the Carrier Strike Group already in maneuvers toward Arcicana. "In International News, the Governments of New Brittonia and Markiana officially declared in mixed Press Statements, including a live speech by the Prime Minister of New Brittonia, Jaclb Croutch and giving name, to what the Alliance Star is also taking into use "Operation Restore Hope", and is officially being adopted by Allician Forces. With increasing forces joining along with the Alliance Star Confederation, the Restoration Forces are proving to have more and more leeway in favor of their efforts. In a recent statement by the Presidential House, "We will not surrender or fail to meet our objectives. It's not only our duties as allicians, but that of Human Beings to restore this nation and improve the quality of human life." With increasing military activity, as well as International attention to the matter, we will continue to bring you the latest on "Operation Restore Hope" as it comes along."

Day 1

Fallen Star was the latest carrier to join the U.R.N, and it was now the pride of the Royal Navy. She sat in her dock as sailors in black officers uniforms and light blue crew uniforms boarded her. Su-33 fighter jets were being winched aboard, as this was going to be her first time on the water in a combat situation.

Further out to sea, the rest of the fleet was already assembled. Helicopters sat on the deck of the Wasp class assault ships, and crew members were visiable even from the deck of the Fallen Star.

Everything was ready. They would join the other Freedom Coalition members soon.

Day 1

It was an early morning at Valais. The crews of the five EF-111's quickly rushed out to their aircraft. Their mission was to hit the capital after Rafales from Uiri had. With their radar jamming capability, they should go undetected - at least, that was the plan.

Woo, 800th post!

The Rafales kept on making the raids after raids. They were surprised at the lack of any response whatsoever but the 17 y/o Bantu leader was ecstatic. The GBU Paveway II's were deadly accurate most of the time and the buildings fell with a snap, killing tons of people and the 17 y/o rejoiced as if this were some kind of video game. But for the people on the ground it definetly not a game. They could not predict which buildings would fall and when they would fall.

The Uir decided it was time to send in the CVBG and the troops. The Carrier Battlegroup had come all the way from Uiri, through the South China Sea, along the Malacca Strait and to Daresalam. The Foudre class landing vessels followed and they had an entire regiment which is essentially half a Brigade's combat troops. But many more regiments were part of the brigade for logistics. Hopefully with Enu focusing on FROAM, they would be able to land on the beaches successfully. The Lewis-andClarke auxilliary would had food to sustain them for a week along with ammunition and such. How to get said supplies to the troops would be tricky.

The La Fayette class ship came first. It had radar reducing capabilities making it appear much smaller to the radar of any guarding ships. They wouldn't send much and whatever Enu Mashe's navy would send would not be able to answer. The submarines were coming from the other side and would take whatever tried to destroy the group by surpise. It would be brilliantly executed and soon the Carrier would be in range to launch Rafales to conduct other raids - maybe on the City of Luderitz to destroy whatever use the enemy might get out of it.

This is our first foreign deployment since WWII, and this one we will win to."

this words were followed by loud cheers.

"Our forces will join the forces of the Alliance Star Confederation and numerous other countries. Together we will cope with the crisis and make the lives of millions of people better and safe. Carrier Battle Group Fallen Star
HMS Fallen Star
Ustian Royal Navy
Day 1

HMS Fallen Star sliced through the waves as the carrier group began to approach Arcicanan waters. Around it, several other ships sailed. Type 23 destroyers, Wasp Class assault ships and Albion class docking platform ships sailed with it in perfect formation. Further away, to their west, a group of Visby Stealth Corvettes had their own formation.

A pair of blue Su-33's flew by overhead as Major-General Walker stepped out of the bridge and onto an outside catwalk. He watched as a third Su-33 landed on the deck.

An officer in a black navy uniform emerged from the bridge

"No sign of the Freedom Coalition Fleets yet sir" she said to Walker

"Very well, continue on course" Walker told her

"Aye sir" she replied, returning to the bridge

'Where are they?' he thought to himself as he leaned on the catwalk barrier.

Although there has been a general consensus by the Communist Party of New Brittonia in all three Houses of Parliament about extended deployments in Arcicana, with acceptance by much the Conservative party too, there has been some vocal protest against New Brittonian deployments.

Upon its introduction in Parliament yesterday, the first place that, by constitution, a bill is to go to is the first house of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of New Brittonia, the House of Commons, called that because literally, any person can register an appointment to speak on the day's topics to their Ministers of Parliament and submit a piece of legislation that they have written themselves to be submitted into committee. That, and it holds a very large delegation, there are exactly 184,667 members of that house.

A 'responsible war'

In the House of Commons, there was quite overwhelming support for extended military operations in Arcicana. Minister of Parliament, Michael Black, (Con.) said that any war to save lives in “far out lands” would have to be a “responsible war” but offered his support.

'Diplomacy first'

However, there were many other people who were vehemently against any war in Arcicana. On the far left, you had anti-war groups such as Code Pink show their opposition to the war. Rachael Hayes, a member of Code Pink, spoke to Parliament, putting the idea out for “diplomacy first'. Also, MP Robert Paulson of the National Liberal Party, a libertarian bent party believed that Brittonian forces should “remain in New Brittonia in order to avoid entanglement in foreign causes” and that “the people in Arcicana should be given the right to choose their own government without foreign intervention”.

The frigate, disguised via radar signature reduction as a large fishing vessel/corvette, approaches the unknown ships

The CVBG had picked up a group of ships (Ustio) on their radar. They made it look like a small ship had gotten mixed up with a group of dangerous ships by sending their frigate towards the ships. On the radar it would look like a large fishing vessel, or if the others were suspicious, a much less capable corvette. The Capitan (rank equivalent to RL Navy Lieutenants or Sub-Lieutenants, in charge of a ship) asked for an image of all the flags of FC countries to not mistaken friend for foe.

--------------

Air raids by the Dassault designed aircraft were still being carried out, with increasing frequency. Teams of 8 would go out every hour to perform a raid, launching 40,000 pounds of laser guided general purpose bombs with each raid. This required 32 aircraft, so each aircraft was only launching every 4 hours and the raid itself took between 1 and a half and 2 hours to fly, launch and come back. This gave the pilots enough time to relax between raids but it was grueling after the first day. They could only eat when they were not in the air and if they ate when they weren't in the air they couldn't really relax. After the first day they had peformed a grand total of 15 raids due to a slow start. Windhoek had been pounded with a total of 600,000 pounds of laser-guided general purpose bombs.

This was a new day however and the pilots who had done the first raids would be recieving a break as 32 new pilots and their aircraft took to the skies. The raids on Windhoek would continue the entire next day. They would not stop until Windhoek had been pounded with 3 million pounds of these bombs. It would be a gruelling 60 hours for the people in Windhoek before the raids were done and they could count their dead.

"Sir!"

Walker was brought sharply back to earth as Captain Ford shouted down to where he sat on the deck

"Uh, Yes Captain?" he said

"Unknown vessel on radar!" Ford shouted from the bridge

Walker jumped up at this news, grabbing his binoculars

"Where?" he called back as he ran up the stairs

"Bearing 140 Sir" replied Ford "Looks like a fishing boat"

Walker got his bearings and lifted the binoculars to his eyes scanning the horizon for any fishing boats. He scanned left, and he saw it

"That's no fishing boat Captain" said Walker, ajusting his binos. He could see the grey ship much clearer now, and he spotted the flag on flying on it.

"It's a Uiri ship - hail them" he said, relived "And begin landing the troops on the shore"

"Aye sir!" replied Ford, dissapearing back into the bridge. The assault ships and docking platform ships were already within launching range

He looked over towards the beach. He could see the LCU's landing already, and a Zubr Class Hovercraft had just discharged ten of the 50 Stryker Mobile Gun Systems onto the beach

"So, now it begins" he said, lowering his binoculars.

"You guys want a lift?" shouted the crewman

Nikolai looked around at his squad "Yeah, why not" he replied, putting one foot on the wheel of the APC and pulling himself up. Other squads were doing the same, and soon they were all on top and had joined a column of Strykers preparing to move out

"Now this is how we should arrive - right in the nick of time!" he joked to the soldier next to him, who looked rather nervous.

The Foudre class LPDs launched the first run of their landing craft. Each LPD had eight landing craft so it was eighty in all. Half launched 40 Leclerc MBTs and the other half launched 80 VBLs. Official Statement:

Not long ago, the Ministry of Defense, in concert with the Noble Houses, authorized the mobilization and deployment of elements of the 3rd Expeditionary Force in quick response to the civil war in the nation of Arcicana and the external forces seeking to force their will upon this sovereign nation. Santheres has committed great resources to aid the Free Republic of Arcicana Movement, the only movement with local support that seeks to install a legitimate government.

The first arrivals in Arcicana will be airdropped into Aricana around the southern border within FROAM-held territory. The Santherese fleet, commanded by the marchessa Commodore Angela Giarelli, will arrive at a later date as they are still preparing to leave sovereign waters.

When asked to comment on the Ministry's decision, Regnant de Rossi said he supports the military in this venture and wonders why Restoration troops wish to install a government that has no support whatsoever within Arcicanan borders.

Said de Rossi,

Were this a simple case of imperialism, we could understand. To force upon a people a government which is clearly unwanted is to attempt to carve an empire. But [the Restoration Forces] are comprised of multiple nations with very few ties amongst them. Do they intend to carve the nation? We cannot think of the worst of them. Do they intend to leave it once they destroy the major parties? This is their stated goal and it is short sighted to say the least. What will come of their leaving will be anarchy and the rise of new militias. This cannot be allowed to happen. What must happen is for the Free Republic to succeed in their goal, establish a strong republican government, and work in concert with foreign powers to give Arcicana health, education, and a strong economy. We believe the Coalition can do this, not the Restoration.

Other Santherese officials have issued their statements, many hoping to maintain amiable relations with the nations supporting the Restoration. Duca Giarelli explained that he hopes to limit the death toll by negotiating with Restoration forces, but it is on them to recognize the legitimacy of stances other than their own.

-

Captain Gallo drove alone to meet the airborne Rangers and engineers. His other men were making their way north to Rehoboth with their handful of trained FROAM militiamen, hoping to defend the town against Munashe or PMA troops. Gallo's mission required he be away, though. He was the liaison to FROAM and if he couldn't be found in the ranks of newcomers, they might be mistaken for enemy troops.

Unfortunately, he'd have a commanding officer once they assembled and his own men would be absorbed into the incoming forces. He'd gotten rather used to the freedom of black ops. Hopefully whoever the commanding officer was, they would appreciate his work and let him and his men operate autonomously.

Overhead, coming in from the horizon, he could see the planes carrying the paratroopers. They were coming in fast and would hopefully get to their feet even faster. It was bad enough that they weren't even going to be at the front until after they built a base -- they better get started working quickly.

Strike Group Three (Russell P. Kramer Carrier Strike Group)
Amphibious Group Three (COMPHIBGRU THREE)
Alliance Star Confederation Navy
04 September 2008; 2008 Zulu

A bit of excitement and fear crossed the minds of the sailors and marines on-board the mixed vessels throughout the Allician Battlegroups, as General Stations were called throughout the vessels. E-2 Hawkeyes broke from the holding and formation patterns CAP, along with F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growler aircraft, to establish an air-superiority throughout the region. Their sole purpose where to deter foreign powers to receive wealth or deliver weapons to regional militias and warlords throughout the region. All means to traffic was to be reviewed, inspected, and if needed, destroyed. All vessels, ranging to fishing vessels were to be tracked down and explored if needed.

From the north, came another Strike Group, along its flank were two Destroyer and Submarines Squadrons along with twenty-four vessels from the Military Sealift Command. They were another three days out, for prolonged supply and security of the forces inbound. Further north, mixed transport aircraft, from empty C-130 Variants, to C-5 Galaxys and C-17 Globemater IIIs with staggered refueling from KC-10s and KC-135s in airborne stages. Those refulers and transports fell under the protection, solely by F-22s. The military was seeing active deployments to the nation, in response to the recent and noted 'hostile' address made by Santheres, an unknown nation to the Alliance Star Confederation. Indeed at test of the fortitude of strangers whom declared support for the Alliance Star Confederation would be indeed stretched to thwart this new attempt at restoring a nation.

The general attitude in the nation was indeed, tense, as was expressed by the populace and relayed from the President to the Rear Admiral on-board the ASV Kramer. Strategies were being forwarded from the Joint Naval Command Center in New Liberty, and to be forwarded to other nations operating with the Restoration Forces. Rear Admiral Mathews, did indeed take into account the orders, and approved of them quickly as they were efficient and easy to set into place, as they were forwarded to the Commanding Officers of the various Naval and Marine officers as well as the overall Commanding Officers of the Restoration Nations. Marines received the orders as LCACs and AAVs were reinspected a final time, as Marines got into their Amphibious Combat Uniforms, while all officers assembled for their respective briefings.

The Carrier and Amphibious Strike Groups rotated would begin, in an combat formation, seeking targets in their range within the territorial waters of Arcicana. They would be ordered to stop, have MH-60R Seahawks dispatched to their vessels and searched one at a time. Until their physical deployment into the nation, the naval vessels making any present threat would be engaged without remorse with the exception of friendly naval vessels. Notifications would be made to friendly forces, as the Allicians requested to adopt "Red" as their universal friendly color, to be marked on friendly land vehicles for the week, as six other colors ranging from Orange, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, and Lime Green. The package of information would be sent to the various Restoration Nations and their Military/Joint-Military Command Centers of their deployments in the nation.

INS Retribution

http://www.iraqwarnews.net/11-22-07a.jpg

Commodore Boreale of the INS Retribution stood on the bridge of his supercarrier, arms neatly folded behind his back. As the highest ranking officer in the naval detachment, he was the de facto leader of the Imperial Naval forces in Arcicanan waters. His fleet was nearing the Arcicanan shores, and they were finally preparing to make landfall. Forward observers had reported the area they had intended to land is was empty, but the Guardsmen were preparing to go in hot, so nothing could be left to chance. Guardsmen and Navy personnel scurried about as Yellow Alert (OOC: That's Angenterian for "General Stations") was sounded.

The landing seemed simple. Soldiers land on the beach, secure area, and establish a forward base of operations. After which, they would attempt to make contact with the Restoration Forces across the nation.

Commodore Boreale knew, however, that in the military, plans almost never survive first contact.

"Sir, radar reports no contacts on the shore." A console operator reported.

"Deploy landing craft." He ordered, his voice sharp. "Have the battleships load their guns, and train them towards the shore."

Within a few minutes, a number of landing craft had been deployed from the fleet. They sped towards the shore at all speed. Meanwhile, the INS Retribution prepared F/A-18's armed with Laser-guided bombs for takeoff.

The VBLs moved forward first, but after spotting the settlement of Oranjemund not too far ahead, decided to allow the tanks to go first, to impress the local population and show that the Uir mean business. The VBLs stayed back while the VABs got a little bit of a head start in order to be able to let a few troops out should the need arise. Once the city was captured, more troops would be sent to hold the settlement. This would be standard for now as the Uir established a front.

-----------

The Barracuda class submarines meanwhile were looking for potential targets. Most importantly they were looking for ships which were landing troops, especially in the north as that would be a problem best dealt with before it could be established. OOC: One battalion is 1200 troops.

2 battalions of Miamorian soldiers were on their way from Miamoria to the Miamorian colony of the Zanzibar Archipelago. From there they would fly to Oranjemund in transport planes escorted by Miamorian F/A-18 Hornets. As the troops landed in the colony there were many different moods between soldiers. Some younger soldiers were extremely exited because they had never been to the colony before and also never been in battle before. Then their were the other kinds of moods like most veterans who had been to the military base in the colony before and had more of a clue what they were going up against. The mood among them was a fake and somewhat see through happiness to not scare any of the soldiers. As the soldiers walked into the army base they were told by their superiors to not get to comfortable as they were going to be sent to Oranjmund as soon as the transport planes got refuled.

The tanks drove through the streets of Oranjemund. They were but a tenth of the tanks the Uir would be eventually be sneding. The 80 VABs followed the tanks. They were more than an eighth of what would eventually be sent over but less than a seventh. Altogether they were over three quarters of one of the three VAB battalions who had been loaded onto the LPDs. Only 5 of them would stay to welcome the rest of the VAB battalion and together the 25 VABs would secure keep the important settlement secure.

The VBLs finished up the rear and little resistance was shown. This was a corner of Arcicana close to the southern border. The VBLs drove through the town. They decided that the town was secure enough and that the 20 VABs should be sent over. The Uir lead the Ustians through the settlement. The group would have to cross the Namib desert before they would reach FROAM territory.

Colonel Honsou sat in the passenger seat of a Humvee, as his driver made his way through the camp. The landing had (so far) gone off without a hitch, and the Guardsmen had almost immediately gone to work establishing a forward base of operations. Everywhere, barrack-tents were being put up, and tanks and other armored vehicles were being unloaded from transport helicopters and landing craft. A makeshift defense of machine-gun emplacements and light anti-aircraft batteries had been established around the camp, and a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire was being set up around the camp's intended perimeter.

The Humvee rolled to a halt outside of the command tent, the largest tent of the camp, which was situated in the center. Honsou stepped out, and noticed Major Beije walking towards him, flanked by a woman wearing a black uniform with a crimson sash. Beije saluted.

"Colonel."

"Report, major." Honsou replied, returning the salute.

"Sir, the establishment of a forward OP is proceeding on-schedule. We will have totally unloaded our Guardsmen and vehicles within the hour." Beije reported.

"Good."

"If I may, Colonel." The woman in black stepped forward. She was Regina Fenris, and was the Commissar in charge of maintaining discipline among the ranks of the Guardsmen. Unlike most Commissars in the Holy Imperium, however, she would rather enforce her orders with a pat on the back instead of the barrel of her pistol. This has gained her good standing within the regiment (ensuring that she wasn't "accidentally" shot in the back during a firefight), and was well respected by Colonel Honsou and Major Beije. "We should recolor our vehicles as soon as possible, as to avoid any confusion among the international troops."

They had all been briefed on the political situation in Arcicana before they had landed. They were arriving as part of a multinational coalition of global powers, and were instructed to cooperate with them. Colonel Honsou nodded curtly. Shortly before their landing, they had received a set of colors from the Allicians, in order to identify themselves as friendly. None of them liked the idea of re-painting their vehicles, as they regarded it as an annoying chore caused by the worrying of officers from other militaries. But they were ordered to cooperate, and cooperate they shall.

"Agreed. Begin recoloring our vehicles and buildings to incorporate the red the Allicians wish us to use, or they might mistake us for hostile."

"Yes, sir." Beije and Fenris both saluted, and went off in separate directions.

Commodore Boreale paced the floor of the bridge. Everything was going according to plan, and that was reassuring to know. However, things were only beginning.

"Commodore, unknown contacts on radar! Bearing 4-7-3!" (OOC: This is the Alliance Star forces.) A console operator shouted, disrupting Boreale's train of thought.

"What?!" Boreale walked over to the operator, peering over his shoulder. It was true, a large number of unknown contacts was appearing on the screen, south of their position. They seemed to be heading east, toward the shores. Were they perhaps another foreign navy?

"Hail them immediately." Boreale ordered. "And prepare for engagement, in case they're hostile."

"Yes, sir." The operator replied, who immediately began trying to hail the incoming ships.

The submarines had found their targets. They decided to sink what looked like the biggest ship first and went straight for the INS Retribution. They fired the first of 5 salvos of Exocet missiles at the sucker. A total of ten missiles were launched and aimed at various spots along the hull. Then the subs would back up using their almost silent pump jets in order to maintain the surprise.

The Rear Admiral had heard, nothing from the other nations and was forced to proceed without them as he, over a Closed-Circuit and Encrypted televised communication with the Marine and the Naval Officers on the vessels about their final objectives. Marines nodded, as some with pens began to jot down some information, whereas Naval Officers were being called away for an emergency message. RADAR began to alert to the premise to a Naval Group to their North, and pressing on their position. The Admiral also caught wind of this, however the Captain of the ASV Kramer itself took charge in identifying with the other vessels. As the pair of Naval Groups were already to quarters, with active fighter patrols, the AWACS synced with the various Carrier and Cruiser Commands as they were forwarded the request to identify themselves, and was routed to the Captain of the ASV Kramer. He stood on station in the top level of the island, as he scanned toward their noted direction, distant from the strike group. The ASV Dark Knight, a Interceptor-class submarine was closer to the unknowns than the rest of the Strike Group, however still out of range. Passive SONAR was activated, as a pair of operators listened in, where schools of fish were noted to pass by the accelerating submarine. The Captain grabbed a gray phone-like microphone to make a statement to the unknown vessels to the north of the current Allician Strike Group.

"Attention unknown vessels. This is the ASV Russell P. Kramer of the Alliance Star Confederation, Identify Immediately."

The Captain prepared to reply, as the CIC inside the Kramer ignited with an emergency. "COMS, SONAR! WE HAVE POSSIBLE VAMPIRES IN THE AIR, FROM UNKNOWN VESSELS APPROACHING UNKNOWN VESSEL GROUP!" The SONAR officer noted the "pre-launch" noises, as the "Pumping" noise would be identified and tracked and detected using an automated noise detection system to track and forewarn against future threats of the like. The Aegis combat systems on all the Cruisers and Destroyers in the Strike Group tracked and monitored the signal. Three MH-60R Seahawks were ordered to the area with SONAR buoys and two Mark 50s, with a pair of ASCN F/A-18Es diverted to provide Air Superiority of the airspace above the missile launch. "Sir, tracking, eight-" the SONAR officer briefly paused, "ten missiles in the air moving from hostile unknown group sir." The Captain looked on his RADAR, as a E/A-18 Growler was on station to move, along with a flight of F/A-18Es and a E-2 Hawkeye. "Move that Hornet flight, and an AWACS and EW Growler there, now. "I want additional Seahawks dispatched and all vessels on active alert, now," the Captain order, as a young lieutenant on the upper level of the island with him, nodded, and redirected the orders to the CIC.

Unlike the Carrier Strike Group, the Amphibious Strike Group was already making impressive headway toward the city of Walvis Bay, with major focus on the area of Pelican Point for their pre-determined landing site of the Marines, as it was unguarded, with little chance of being seen until entering from the south. Marines were at the ready, as AAVs and LCACs unloaded from their respected vessels, loaded with Marines, under the escort of F-35Bs, F-35Cs, and F/A-18E/Fs. Various helicopters were being reserved for deployment and air support in the urban region with predetermined locations for their attack. If the Alliance Star secured this city, it would indeed secure a safe footing in Arcicana. The landing itself would go off without a hitch, as fighters now made passes inland and over the city of Walvis Bay with little threat of engagement at 27+ thousand feet. A pair of F-35s were providing temporary AWACS as a E-2 Hawkeye was in route. The Air Force and additional Marines were just a few hours away from entering Arcicana from the north, and heading toward Walvis Bay. The additional naval forces would also begin to arrive near Arcicana shortly.

Under the cover of darkness a large landing fleet approached the coast near Lüderitz. In the once so silent and peacefull settlement, the air was full of noise and the smell of petrol, when the 15.000 men strong Markianan 1st marine division landed. They quickly build a beachhead so the second division could land savely. While F15 Strike Eagles flew over their heads, the men prepared to move to the Lüderitz.
"This civil war must be put to an end, so it's time to show them how we kick ass." the Colonel in charge said. After the speech the men went to their vehicles and started the engines.

OOC: Markiana, I'm bombing Luderitz with my Rafales from my carrier. Don't know if you caught that. I was waiting for Ustio's reply but he hasn't responded. Bombings would go through the night too. Also, I've bombed the shite out of the capital.

IC:

The Rafales took off. The Rafales on the ship had been put into their groups of 4 and they were being mismatched as that left 9 groups and bombings had to be done in group pairs. Each group did two bombings over a space of nine hours. It was confusing but it worked and gave the pilots enough time to rest. As this particular group was doing a bombing they noticed troops landing, and instead of targetting the buildings still standing, they decided to send their 40 GBU Paveway II's (each one had 5 instead of the usual 10 in order to fit MBDA MICA's) at what had to be enemy vehicles.

"Damnit!" the Comodor shouted as he got the word done from the President. Those bastards. One of his subordinates spoke up though, and suggested a great idea. The comodor was surprised to hear a swear among his officers but he let it slide for it was indeed a fantastic idea which would play on the element of surprise.

"Uniform India Charlie Alfa to Uniform November Charlie Alfa. .--. .-. --- -.-. . . -.. / - --- / -... --- -- -... / - .... . / -- .- .-. -.- .. .- -. .- -. / - .-. --- .-. .--. ... //"

The next bombing run proceeded as planned but flew north along the coast. They looked at the troops and flew down low, almost as if they were going to land. But they didn't. Instead they turned around and started shooting at the troops and even launched a couple of the GBU Paveway II's (essentially a laser-guided 500 pound general purpose bomb). They then gained altitude and launched the rest of their GBU Paveway II's at the enemy vehicles.

The Markianan Marines were still shocked by the bombing of their beachhead when they rapidly deployed their stinger installations and other anti air devices. The attack left at least 100 men dead and around 600 injured, lots of vehicles were destroyed.

The commander who was at the flagship at the moment of the attack immediately spoke to the soldiers:
"We were caught of guard, but it wont happen again, all our anti aircraft installations will be deployed including our 2 anti aircraft frigates and several F 15's. But we stil will take the city of Lüderitz."

INS Retribution

Attention unknown vessels. This is the ASV Russell P. Kramer of the Alliance Star Confederation, Identify Immediately.

Commodore Boreale's ear was on his com bead, listening intently to the message from the unknown vessels. At least they knew who they were now. He opened his mouth to reply, but was instantly cut off by something much more urgent.

"COMMODORE! INCOMING MISSILES, NORTH!" The radar operator shouted, his voice frantic and loud.

"WHAT!" Boreale looked over in the direction, seeing a set of missiles speeding towards them.

"CHAFF, NOW!" He ordered, his voice rising. He was instantly greeted by a familiar white flash, but it was too little, too late.

A series of explosions rocked the ship, throwing Boreale from his feet and placing him on the cold hard steel of the bridge floor. He felt the Retributionlurch violently to one side, as the ship began to lean.

Almost immediately, alarms began blaring, and the bridge was bathed in red light. Boreale moved to his feet, but struggled with the now-slanted floor of the bridge. "Report!"

"Sir!" A bridge officer shouted, holding onto his console for dear life. "Extensive damage to all deck-ARGGGHHHH!" He screamed as his console sparked, burning his face.

Boreale cursed himself for not seeing the attack coming sooner, and began to crawl towards his comm-bead. He had to call for help. All around him, sparks from consoles and hanging wires flew around him, while the blaring alarms kept up the infernal racket that made it seem all the more worse.

He reached the console, and grabbed the comms-bead. He shouted a message to the Alliance Star fleet, as the line was already established. However, the message was largely distorted by static.

This is.....*static*..... Boreale ......*static* .... -erium of Angenteria.....*static*.........attack by......*static*..... -esting assis-.....*static*...

"DAMN IT!." He shouted as the comm-bead was severed from the wire. Amazingly, his ship had just barely survived the first volley, but if there was more....

Modernized Battleship INS Anticus

Captain Miranda Hauptmann looked on in horror as the INS Retribution was struck my multiple missiles, and water flooded her decks. Dozens of people were probably killed in just the first explosions, and multiple holes were torn in it's hull. She knew the supercarrier wouldn't survive any more.

She turned around to her bridge crew. "Status!"

"Ma'am!" An officer shouted "Radar has picked up the possible location of the enemy submarines."

"Two can play this game, lieutenant." Hauptmann responded. "Tell the ships to dispatch helicopters, and fire torpedoes. I am in command now."

"Yes, ma'am!"

The surrounding cruisers and destroyers sprung into action. Helicopters took off, some armed with sonar and radar detection equipment, others armed with torpedoes and missiles. Meanwhile, the cruisers fired a series of 5 wake-homing and 5 acoustic torpedoes toward the location of where the missiles fired.

IC:

Battle of Luderitz - Sea Front

Luckily for the Barracudas, they had immediately moved more away from the battlegroup and not from where they had fired. They knew that the carrier would be dead if there was more and so they decided to split up in order to take down different ships. They found that because there presence was known, stopping even for a minute could be lethal. There strategy - stop only for two seconds to fire a torpedo. Hopefully this would prevent the enemy from knowing there location at any one time. Worse comes to worse they could call on Le Triomphante class subs farther from the coast.

One went around westward to be west and 'behind' the battlegroup and fired a volley of five torpedos at the battleship. They didn't know what a battleship was doing in this modern day and age but were going to prove just how out-of-date such a ship is. The other sub, however went around East to be south of the carrier and fired three more torpedos at the ship.

---------------

Battle of Luderitz - Air/Land Front

The next bombing raid proceeded as planned but there was a new objective besides the original bomb the crap out of the city - they were too target any enemy installation, especially if they were attacking the group. The group would also be split up into lead and wingman in order to be more versatile in the areas that were being attacked. Being attacked by 4 groups of 10 missiles is harder to properly defend against than one group of 40 missiles.

((OOC: The following is based of info given to me by Santheres either on the Freedom Coalition forums or in the OOC thread))

Somewhere in the Namib desert along the Orange River

The Uir troops had met up with the Santherese rangers who had trekked a few kilometres into Enu Mashe territory. This would be necessary in order to prevent mistaken identity and friendly fire incidents which could cause political backlash back home for both Mr. Aposon and Mr. Fodoson as well as the public Uir view of the Freedom Coalition. If we couldn't stop friendly fire how can we capture this land or even trust the militia and or allied troops? Of course, Kiravian loyalty would not be questioned - the Uir knew them far too well.

------------

Oranjemund

Meanwhile the Uir VAB company was doing the best job possible of keeping the diamond settlement secure which included the airport. They would have to prepare for the arrival of which Uir knew how many Miamorian troops via transport planes. They also needed to be ready if Daiwizian troop transport planes came however it was uncertain if they would come. The diamond mining town continued life as usual as best as they could with the civil war going on. This town would be seeing many more troops.

((OOC: Miamoria, feel free to move in your troops. Daiwiz, to you the same.))

East African Echo Base

The base had thought its job in the war would be over once the bombing of Windhoek had been completed. The Freedom Coalition hadn't seized the oppurtunity and the Uir realized they had neglected to target vehicles. While the cities lay in ruins, they would have to create more ruins before the war was over. In addition to that, the Uir would be allowing Miamorian F/A-18 Hornets to fly from the air base in the Zanzibar Archipalego - which had been sold by the Uir to the Miamorians - In order to launch raids of Windhoek with the Uir pilots.

South of Keetmanshoop

It was hard work trying to get everything organized. With just five hundred engineers to do the grunt work and no vehicles, just getting all the airdropped material to the proper location had been a tough operation. Once they had it all and were confident that their remaining Rangers could effectively patrol the perimeter, they set about laying out and locking together the matting that would serve as a makeshift runway. It was simple work, just time-consuming and it all had a small window. With incoming airborne resources, including the vehicles they desperately needed and mechanized infantry support, they had little time to actually complete the project.

What's more, with threats from the Munashe army and the PLM militia, they needed more combat troops. One thousand could protect them from a lot, many times their number, but they were mostly in the open and were short on supplies. Knowing that other, more modern nations were intervening on other sides didn't help much, either.

The engineers worked hard and were expected to finish their work with plenty of time to spare. Within a day, more Santherese forces would arrive airborne from the south, hopefully under the protection of Uir aircraft.

Somewhere in the Namib desert along the Orange River

The Santherese Rangers, numbering around 1,500, had pushed into Munashe territory only five or so kilometers before spotting the Uir and Ustian task forces. Dressed in gilly suits and spread out over a square klick, they had a good defensive posture as a whole.

As the Ustian Strykers got closer, Colonel Lucia Bianco signalled for her squad to rise. They did so, their G36s held in one hand above their heads so as to look friendly. They were, after all, up against some powerful vehicles if they were mistaken as enemy troops. Once noticed and sure of there being no hostile intent, the others would all rise and hopefully make their way back east.

Lucia certainly didn't want to be in Munashe territory for much longer. There was some speculation about building a forward base, but they had no material with which to do that and it would take far too long. They needed their command center outside Keetmanshoop before they needed anything else. They needed on-site systems in case the fleets sustained too much damage, and they needed something that lent itself to air defense, instead of weak buildings inside of a municipal center.

Anerio Fleet Station, Verdona, Santheres Proper

With the fleet finally put together, the Anerio battle group was pulling out of the strait and forming up. The Anerio itself was very much like every other carrier in the Marina Militare, built from the same plans and from the same company's yards. It was nothing special, carrying the older Harriers instead of the newest F-35s that were being phased into service slowly, but surely. It was a good ship nonetheless, though, and would do its House and nation proud.

It would take a few days, maybe longer if they had to avoid potentially hostile ships, but they would make for the coast of the Kiravian Austroafrica and sit in relative protection, the carrier air wing conducting what air ops it would have to in order to maintain the air superiority the Coalition seemed to be enjoying for the moment. If that disappeared, well, they would just have to take it back.

The crews hoped to stay out of a ship-to-ship battle. They hadn't fought one in decades, while many of the other navies in the world did so regularly. They were clearly at a disadvantage in real-world experience and there was always the worry that simulations just wouldn't cut it once in the field. That was, of course, why only one battle group was being sent -- minimize losses. The odds of surviving had very little to do with the number of ships a fleet had when skilled tacticians were taken into account and this was, really, the Anerio family's first foray into actual naval combat.

The explosions wouldn't do any physical damage to the Allician vessels, but morale took a hit when the allied carrier took a hit. The Captain's face didn't change, although a chill did run up the back of the Captain as he lifted his COM and made contact with the inbound ASW laden Seahawks. "Lieutenant, it is imperative that you find and kill those bastards before we start taking losses. I want every inch of water with an active SONAR buoy, and I want that to happen now. Keep those Subs underwater, do you understand?" he ordered, as the Lieutenant would give a short reply, "Roger that." The Captain would return the phone to it's resting place as he got word that the 'sound' made by the pump jets and the missile launch from the unknown submersible were now auto-hostile, and was transfered to the various other vessels of the Strike Group, as well as the Joint Naval Command Center. The Hornets currently circled the area where the submarines were reported as the EA-18G Growler activated its AN/ALQ-99 pod, simply making the Submariners lives hell.

The surrounding escort group also activated active SONAR with an automatic detection system identifying the noises of the submarines, as RGM-84 pods were activated, and E-2s Hawkeys along with the guided-missile, cruisers were beginning to notice other vessels entering the area, besides that of friendly forces. BGM-109s missiles set for anti-surface purposes were also on free-fire purposes, as the VLS systems were in full combat readiness, Sailors and Marines in full combat readiness. A second squadron, that of F-35Cs were now prepared for deployment in the Ocean itself as vessel-killers armed with a combination of (x2) AIM-120 AMRAAM Ds and (x2) Mark 83s, along with the deployment of a E-2D Hawkeye. They prepared in the operations room, as they dawned their fight suits, and would proceed to their aircraft for launch off the carrier, in due time. It would take a around twenty-five minutes for full, emergency launch of the fighters and their selected E-2D Hawkeye, which would place the strain of the operational protection on the E/A-18E/Fs currently in the sky. SAR teams were already being configured as the status of the Angenteria carrier was unknown, however was out of radio contact, as radio contact was attempted with the Angenteria group.

The Airport itself was easily secured as it was abandoned two years ago, and was in light use with a few transport, cargo, and executive aircraft entering and departing the airport for use by the hostile government. A few children played on the tarmac from the nearby village, and former remains of a base remained as it had moved on toward the harbor insulated inside the village. Marines immediately took to the former Tower Controls and established contact with the Alliance Star Navy by means of secured, encrypted satellite communication directly with the Naval Joint Command, as it would be redirected to the incoming aircraft as the airport was at a minimum security level to being landing for transport aircraft. HMMWVs began active perimeter details, six with Browning M2s and and two with Mk 19s, as a sole HMMWV toted a TOW-Launcher. Two others were medical HMMWVs, four Logisitcs, and eight mixed transport and logistics. The sole remaining HMMWV was a ECM/Command HMMWV in use by the Colonel in overall command of the Battalion as he made his way, along with the Lima Company CO and two Privates into the Airport's main facility. The Colonel, entering the airport, stated, "Well, it's too bad they didn't leave the air on," where the other three had a moment of relief and a snicker, as he continued. "Have India and Kilo hold their positions, until we have further support from Brigades being flown into the airport. I want gunships, increased armor, and effective supply movements before taking the city and the port. Have my XO make sure, NO movement is to be made into the city, without my specific orders." The group nodded, as they proceeded, as further Marines in the Headquarters Company began to clean up and establish a Command Facility. Most of the Marines were busy cleaning the area or securing the airport, as a few complained of the current heat. Two Marines caught a nap on the edge of the Tarmac, the final sitting on the Browning, as it began to look more like an active Marine Headquarters than a deserted-unmaintained airport.

OOC: I dunno, I'm not getting shot at so:

Battle of Luderitz Air/Land Front

The Rafales continued to launch the 500-lb laser-guided general purpose bombs at the enemy vehicles. They came from different angles and each aircraft shot 5 of the 500-lb buggers at different groups of vehicles, hopefully destroying as many as they could. They were surprised that no anti-aircraft fire or planes were shooting at them.

Namib Desert along Orange River

Colonel Kinoson got out of his VBCI and addressed the other two ground leaders, "Shall we move out or what? I presume we are to Windhoek?"

Windhoek

Only 12 hours after the original bombings had subsided, the same scheduled bombings started up again. This time bombings would go on for 25 hours and pound a total 1 million pounds of general purpose bombs into the already beaten city.

OOC: Markiana: If you attack, I need to know with what and how many. How long have your troops been in the area since my original surprise attack? 4 hours? That's 4 bombing runs. Also, there is no way news travelled that far up the ranks that fast unless they have been there for 4 hours which means a total of 160 GBU-12 Paveway II's targetted at your AA Batteries and your troops' vehicles. Each one has a payload of 500 lb GPB and is laser-guided.

AS - My subs are constantly moving at a rate of about 27 knots. How many missiles are you launching, from what and how fast are they? How far out are you covering with SONAR?

"Captain, incoming torpedoes from the stern!"

"Hard to starboard!" Captain Hauptmann shouted, her voice calm and concise. The enemy had obviously didn't know anything about Angenterian Battleships.

The ship jerked sharply to starboard, just barely missing the incoming torpedoes. However, it was not enough, as one of them had still found it's mark, slamming into the hull and detonating.

"Report!" Hauptmann shouted.

"Captain! The torpedo detonated just under the engine room. A little higher, and the whole stern could have went sky-high. Damage teams are containing the breach as we speak."

"Thank the Emperor." Hauptmann muttered under her breath. She had to make sure they wouldn't have to rely on luck again. She had an idea. The enemy seemed to be constantly on the move, only stopping to fire. If the Angenterians....

"Fire torpedoes." Captain Hauptmann commanded. "But this time, fire in different vectors. The enemy is moving quickly to avoid our shots. If we fire where we think they will be, instead of where they are, we have a much higher chance of hitting them."

A volley of seven torpedoes was fired in the direction of the last known location of the enemy, but each was fired on a different vector.

IC:

Battle of Luderitz, Sea Front

"Capitan! They have played into our trap!" the male voice said.

"Perfect. Switch from bow to port movement away from the ship while changing our bearing with as small movement outwards as possible."

The submarine used vectored thrust to start moving away from the battleship. Once far enough it put its back to the side of the ship and sped north. Hopefully the battleship had not known that there was another submarine. For if they had, they would've known that it was using the same tactic as the previous submarine and it fired 5 more exocets at the battleship.

OOC: If you feel this is godmoding, say so. It is obvious that the only way to hit a submarine while it is using my tactic is to hit where it will be. However, the commanders know that if the enemy is anticipating the moves of themselves then the only response is to move in another direction.

We’ve also got a black ops team up in Rehoboth with a trained militia company that I want to pick up.”

She waved some other Rangers closer to her. “Captain, take Dog point, look out for ordnance and militia.” Turning back to Kinoson, she nodded. “What’ve you got with you? I’m just 1500 on foot.”

Savina Air Field
Outside Keetmanshoop

Under the protection of just a thousand Rangers, the Santherese transports were landing on the makeshift runway, just barely fitting comfortably in the mountainous terrain.

They carried another 2500 Rangers, but these were mechanized and would pull the other Rangers into their fold, manning one thousand Dardo IFVs. With them, in the longest train of planes, was the bulk of the 10,000 Condotta shock troops, themselves accompanied by another thousand Dardos and 200 of the light tanks. It was the largest air operation Santheres had conducted in quite some time and indeed would take some time, especially since many of the planes were carrying necessary materials for building a command post with housing and defensive capability. While the entire force would take days to assemble, each operational unit took drastically less time and some would be able to move out by morning.

And that wasn’t even the whole of it. There were still over 30,000 Gendarme to come, more Condotta with Arietes, attack helicopters…. Santheres was devoting more to this than perhaps they should have, but the Ministry of Defense at home would blame that on the Restoration forces which boasted far more nations with far too many troops than should have gotten involved.

--Aboard the USS Il Seoul, the Il Korean Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier-

Major General Kim met with the top leaders of his Division. The conference room within the Naval Vessel included officers ranging from the ranks of Major General all the way down to Lt. Colonel. The commanders were in charge of the 3 Infantry Regiments, 1 Artillery Regiment, 1 Combat Engineer Battalion, 2 Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalions, 1 Reconnaissance Battalion, 1 Tank Battalion and 1 Amphibious Assault Battalion. These men were to be the major component of the ground operation during the campaign, and would latter have the 1st MEU attached to them. They went over their plans regarding their designated landing spots along the coast. After the meeting was over with, the men returned to their quarters and then would later be transported via helicopters to the ships holding their men.

-- Fort Jackson, I.K. 1st Cavalry Division --

The 1st Cavalry division began packing their things for the long campaign into Arcicana. They were training since they received notice of the invasion of the country. Their allies, Uiri were already engaged with opposing forces in a major bombing campaign.

During the day each Brigade would operate according to shifts of brigades either training for combat in the region, or loading their supplies onto the large aircraft provided by the air force before they left.

--Orangjemund, Arcicana--

The 1st Marine Expeditionary Unit loaded into their supply of AAVs as well as the helicopters provided by the Navy, and began their landing on the beaches between Orangjemund and Alexander Bay. The landing was not very long to perform for the unit of its size. The Marines were always trained for a very swift reaction time, and were capable of setting up their supplies. The helicopters landed on an area along the beach with rather flat landscape, with the Infantry landing in the AAVs. Eventually, the amount of armor and vehicles would follow close behind.

Eventually as things began to take shape, the men began to setup a small camp in the area, where Lt. Col. Padowski would go over the battle plans with his Battalion and Company Commanders. They reviewed their method of travel, and rested before the 2,500 Marines would travel along the Orange River and head north to link up with Uiri Forces.

Il Korea what are you talking about? My troops aren't engaged anywhere. My troops are moving from the bank of the Oranje river to Windhoek through FROAM territory. I am landing between Oranjemund and Alexander Bay...not exactly either one. Look at a map and you'll see how close they are. Also, when I said your forces engaging, I meant your air forces that were bombing certain areas, never did I mention your ground troops actually fighting in any of my post. Also, where did you get the numbers 7,500 and 12,000 from? The only forces that I have landing at the moment is my Marine Expeditionary Unit which is only made up of 2,500 men, along with the naval ships to transport them in the ocean. I also don't have 7,500 aircraft anywhere, I only have a small amount of aircraft and I based that off of the wikipedia's military units page. Carrier Strike Group Three (Russell P. Kramer Carrier Strike Group)
Alliance Star Confederation Navy

A pair of F/A-18Es were patrolling throughout the north, as they swept along with a MH-60R Seahawk protecting it as it deployed buoys. "Kramer, this is Viper four, negative on hostile contact in area. Continuing..." At that moment, a large plume of water exploded from beneath the surface, as the missiles exploded from the water and streaked toward the wounded Angenterian battlegroup. "Krammer, Krammer, this is Vipers four and six, engaging Vampires, out-copy." The young Lieutenant Commander in the aircraft, throttled up, and maneuvered his Super Hornet to match the path of the Vampires. Being well within ECM range of the E-2 Hawkeye, the Super Hornets took a missile lock on the Vampires, and gained a steady lock, firing an overall four (two from each Super Hornet) AIM-120s at the requested targets. "Fox Three," both pilots stated, as the AIM-120s slowly dropped from the wings of the fighters, and took flight, easily matching and destroying the missiles before having any chance of doing damage. (Exocets go 315 m/s, and AIM-120s go 1361.16 m/s.) Plumes of fire would erupt in the sky, as the overall warhead damage would destroy or damage the group of missiles enough to safeguard the Angenterian battlegroup.

"Krammer, Krammer, this is Vipers four and six, break. Vampires splashed and confirmed, break. Returning to provide CAP over patrol area, outcopy." The Super Hornets veered right, as the Krammer replied, "Roger, solid copy on all Viper four and six. Return to CAP; Krammer out." The Krammer would continued with a relay of message, "HSL-42 Bravo, this is Krammer. We have tally on hostile in your local area. Do you have tally, outcopy." The MH-60R pilot would reply, as it had already entered a firing solution on the SONAR track of the hostile in the water, "Kramer, this is HSL-42 Bravo. Solid copy, we have hostile tallied, and are engaging with Mark 50s. HSL-42 out." The Seahawk made its own independent rotation as it fixated on the previous position within a matter of 250 meters and launched a pair of Mark 50 Torpedoes, one and a half minute after missile launch from the starboard side of the unknown, and tracked with active lock with Active SONAR from the relaying AN/SSQ-62E. It would only take 20 seconds from deployment for the torpedoes to be on target.

Proceeding south, were the twenty F-35Cs with a E-2 Hawkeye providing local ECM for the inbound Lighting IIs, and were an estimated fifteen minutes out from combat range in the Naval and Air Theatre of Luderitz. The F-35Cs were already weapons free, with Internal Stores only, as they made way, at near maximum performance, without having to go to their afterburners or stressing their engines. The Strike Group itself was continuing to 'orbit' as they were to continue in their movements, thwarting submarines any chance to get in close without being detected, however the Submarines would remain silent with at maximum using passive SONAR, and light communications with the Carrier Strike Group. Ospreys, departing from the deck of the Krammer with SAR teams, came under the cover of a pair of Super Hornets, as they made way North to aide in the recovery and the aide to the Angenterian Carrier and other losses.

Carrier Strike Group Six (Andrew Shepherd Carrier Strike Group)
Alliance Star Confederation Navy

Entering in from the north was the ASV Andrew Shepard, with two additional Destroyer and Submarine squadrons, and nine Alliance Star Naval Vessels transporting ammunition, food, fuel, medical supplies, weapons, vehicles, helicopters, and more. A continuing flow of support vessels were on the way, with a pair of Destroyer and Submarine squadrons safeguarding the route from the Alliance Star Confederation to the men and women deployed in Arcicana. The first of the active combat F/A-18E/Fs began to launch from the decks of the Fowler-Class Carrier (Vessel mirror to the Reagan-subclass) as it came into contact with the Krammer, and would jointly attempt to contact the Angenterian group to establish some means of joint contact with the sole identified allies in the area. Sailors on station were preparing launch catapults from which F/A-18E/Fs would deploy with Anti-Surface and Anti-Air Weapons, and MH-60R Seahawks with ordinance to deploy SONAR buoys and Mark 50s. On the deck of the Shepard were HH-60H Rescue Hawks with Corpsmen, Marines, and pilots to aide the injured of the Carrier and any others attacked that the Alliance Star Navy doesn't know about.

The Admiral on board the Shepard stood in the CIC inside the Carrier, watching as images depicting the various naval vessels, flightpath projections, and RADAR/SONAR ranges from the various vessels. He tailored his collar of his khaki uniform, and crossed his arms behind his back, as he inspected the situation involving the Kramer Strike Group and the hostile attacked on the allied vessels. He walked from the LCD-panel laden along the plated hull of the Carrier, and to a topographic map with active tide representation, on a digital means. A touch sensitive smart-screen was spread along the table, and bolted on, covered with a light plastic polymer that allowed for touch or stylus. A pair of Ensigns and a Petty Officer stood over the screen, one moving a segment to reveal inbound Naval Air Force transports, fighters, re-fuelers, and AWACS. He looked over to the Ensign as he tapped on DESRON SIX and the six Destroyer images on the screen, and tapped another location on the map, south of the current Krammer position. The message would auto-relay the movement information with the Admiral's orders over an encrypted transmission, either from jumping through Allician vessel communication packages or by satellite to the Destroyer Squadron's Commanding Officer.

The dozen helicopters would descend off the Carrier followed by three UH-1Ys and three AH-1Z, as the set forth toward Walvis Bay, and most importantly the Port of Walvis Bay which would be key for the unloading of various armor, supplies, fuel and the like. The Captain watched as they went away, as the small carrier converted itself in the role of a triage center, preparing cots, medical rooms, and recovery areas in the event of casualties, and until a large medical facility can be established in the nation itself. The Captain didn't get involved so much in the medical setup, as he did with the coordination with the movement of the strike group closer to the nation itself to place it within better range of the helicopters allowing less stress on the pilots and their fuel capacity. He sat back, as coded messages relaying from the various vessels in the small strike group noted their increase in Active SONAR and deployment of their contingent of Seahawks to undermine and near-disable the Submarine threat.

The LAV-25's M242 Bushmaster 25 Mike-Mike opened up, as the rounds ripped through the stone walls adjacent to the homes, as a short exchange of fire occurred between the Marines and the Enu Munashe government troops. 7.62 rounds splashed off the armor of the LAVs, as Marines watched for fire, and suppressed along the right flank of the installed group. The Marines called upon UAVs to provide local reconnaissance of the area for the local ground forces, along with calling for a local F-35B for possible air support. A fireteam pressed from the right flank with the LAV continuing to lay suppressive fire, as the small resistance was quashed with a well placed pair of M67s and a final chime from the LAV. The Marines swept the home, as rubble filled where the men formerly were, finding a small collection of mixed AK-47s and RPG-7, along with a small radio, a map and a store of food rations. They secured the site, as Marines continued to search house to house with limited small arms fire that was exchanged that ended with a downed hostile.

The sounds of ricochets were frequent of the hull of the M1A2 SEP/TUSK as it sat in idle at the junction of Atlantic Esplanade and Nangolo Mbumba Drive trailing it was another Abrams followed by three mixed LAVs and several HMMWVs in sight of the column. The Executive Officer has just recent got the "Go" order from Chaos dividing his Companies apart to take on separate areas, having India Company take on and secure a neighborhood and Kilo by entering the city and securing the port to allow heavy armor and the like to enter the city and with that the country, along with vital fuel and ammunition stores. The Executive Officer split off from the Company and drove with a squad to the airport to rejoin with the Lieutenant Colonel to have a joint Command allowing the lack of communication to continue and allowing the combat teams and Company Commanders to work as they should.

Four F-35Bs and a pair of Marine Corps Super Hornets tore through the sky above, the Hornets unleashing JDAMs on target precise coordinates as determined by the Marines on the ground and Generals in the Joint Naval Command Center back in New Liberty. Marines took their sweet time, as random fire, and return fire was made between militants and Marines as each target was engaged and destroyed by a combination of fifty caliber, 25 Mike-Mike, or air support saving Infantry the need to chase after every target. Marines continued down Nangolo Mbumba Drive, as taking a smaller road would prohibit movement, and make the Marines more likely to be injured. They continued on in a column formation, allowing the shoulders for emergency extraction of injured in the event of the worst, and for Marine movement forward and into buildings if the situation called for it.

"Motherfucker!" A young corporal stated, as he sat up in the HMMWV sitting in the parking lot of the Airport, as his Sergeant took outside with the passenger door open, M4A1 slung on his person. "You know, why are we in this jintoe shithole, giving, 'Good Mercy' to these Godless-asshole-bastards. These motherfuckers start killing each other, over what? Someone raped someone else's goat? Who gives a fuck. What do you say, Brad?" The Sergeant looked at the Corporal as he gave him a short reply, "Corporal, shut the fuck up." He turned toward the south of the lot, watching as beyond his sight was a desert and nothing else. "Seriously, Sergeant. There's no oil, money, alcohol, or any of that shit. There's fucking nothing here. We need to get out of this shithole, and invade somewhere that's filled with naked, hot women to be liberated. Or like a nation where every Marines gets a million credits." He looked up, as he smiled toward the Sergeant. "Wouldn't you like a Million Credits, Sergeant." The Sergeant continued to pay no physical attention, as he did offer his rebuttal, "Corporal, shut the fuck up." He sighed, as he proceeded to sit back and placed on a pair of large sunglasses as sat back and relaxed. "So, I'll just sleep then." "Good idea," the Sergeant replied, as he walked away from the HMMWV toward the Command Center in the main airport complex to learn of their next patrol time, only to learn that they were to be soon deployed and have a reporter embedded with them.

The Airport itself was filled with activity as the first Raptor escort screamed over the airfield as the first of the transport aircraft, a C-17 Globemaster III descended nose-up on the tarmac screeching along the concrete runway and slowing to a stop. On board the transport aircraft was the 12th Stryker Brigade Combat Team one of many to start arriving in the country to begin full scale in nation action by the Alliance Star Confederation. Field Hospitals, Air Defense sites, and Communications installation would be installed upon landing of additional Engineers and System Specific servicemen increasing the capably of the Marines and the Navy. The F-22s would break off, and await their turn at landing, as they were approaching Joker fuel in their internal fuel bay, as they were internal munitions and fuel only, requiring frequent refueling throughout their flights. Fuel and other means of supply would first be airlifted and used at the airport, before large stores of fuel would be delivered by sea to improve logistics groundwise.
Il Korea

The Il Korean Marine Corps's 1st MEU began its long treck along the southern border of Arcicana heading along the orange river. The 2,500 Marines were equipped with 10 M1A1 Abrams Tanks, 25 LAV-25s, 20 AAV-7A1s, and 100 HMMWVs. The Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier located not far off the coast, would provide air support if needed, and currently had 5 F-35 Lightings and 10 F-18 Hornets circling above. If any resistence was encountered, they would be available to strike any enemy forces ahead of them. Leading the MEU was the Recon Platoon

Meanwhile, the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force arrived along the coast in Oranjemund. The number of ground forces in the 2nd Marine Division was 15,490 Marines ready to fight for their side in this war.

The Army's 2nd Cavalry Division had finished preparations and began transporting troops via C-130s to the region.

Lt.bColonel Padowski of the 1st MEU sent a telegram to the Uiri commanders.

To: Uiri
From: Lt. Col Padowski, Il Korean Marine Corps, 1st MEU

Our Troops are beginning our movement. Since your nation is leading this campaign, please feel free to give us whatever mission you see fit. While we currently have a small amount of forces on the ground, many more will in fact will be arriving.

The Marines were well stocked with MREs and plenty of ammunition to conduct a long term campaign in the region. When all the Il Korean ground forces reach their full capabilities within Arcicana, there will be around 37,990 Soldiers and Marines with many more capable of being delivered if the situation were to get any worse. Time will only tell.

I'm not in the fight in the air nor in range for your Corvettes, Ustio North. Now, if you get closer to the Kramer, then there'd be a problem, but that's a risk for your vessels. Your call.))

OOC: Ah, right. I thought you were at Luderitz. Ok, they'll just carry on to Wavis Bay

The Corvettes continued north towards Wavis Bay. Recon had spotted unknown vessels in that area and they were going to identify, and, if needs be, eliminate them.

Quick and Important Announcement:

I am officially killing this role-play for the following:

A: I've gotten seriously busy that I haven't got the time to work on it.
B: People involved in said role-play, including myself are feeling a sense of a "second job" rather than fun. Therefore have made constant regards wanting to leave, but staying true to the roleplay.
C: There's the (???).
D: Profit, and the fact of making the "D:" face-thing.

If the participants involved want to continue on, they're more than welcome, but as I stated on the first page, this is not a full IC RP therefore, no real gains or losses are calculated. Thanks for the great Role-play, and I look forward to great ones in the future.

Sure. It was fun. Except it was tricky picking out what you were doing to my subs back there. Plus, how would you see a splash from a Exocet?
Alliance Star
12-09-2008, 21:52
If you're launching an exocet, the exhaust would make serious wake, and a plume of water would explode from the surface. If you fired from the surface, the noise would nearly deafen the SONAR operator, and therefore have an immediate fix on a unfriendly missile, and a launch-deployable vessel.

But I fired from underwater.
Alliance Star
12-09-2008, 22:00
Exactly. With it launching from underwater, a large amount of water from where it lauched is bound to splash upward in a plume-like fashion.

Here's an image of one. [Link (http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/agosta/images/agosta6.jpg)]

Nope, that's an actual Exocet underwater launch.

That can certainly happen.
