Dariopolis, Kinstan

At Kinstantia's largest Naval Base in Dariopolis, the Navy christened a new, state-of-the-art Aircraft Carrier today. The USS Nathaniel J. Tempest (KCVN-3) is quite a large aircraft carrier. It cost nearly 16 Billion Rupees (almost 8 Billion Dollars) to build. She is slated for her maiden voyage beginning tomorrow morning at 9am and will sail from Dariopolis Navy Yard to Yarden Beach on Little Duffy Island, nearly a 70 mile round trip. She will begin a longer ocean voyage next month.

The general specifications are as follows:

Displacement: 100,000 long tons (approximately 101,600 metric tons)
Length: 1,092 ft (333 m)
Beam: 134 ft (41 m)
Propulsion: 2 A1B nuclear reactors
Speed: 30+ knots (34 mph - 56 km/h)
Complement: 4,660
Armament: Surface-to-air missiles
Close-in weapons systems
Aircraft carried: More than 75
Aviation facilities: 1,092 × 256 foot (333 × 78 m) flight deck

This brings the total amount of Aircraft carriers in the Kinstantian Navy to 3, including the USS Kinstantia and the USS Ronald Anderson.

President Nathaniel J Tempest was on hand at the christening and said that he is proud to have his name on the flagship of the Kinstantian Navy.

The Dariopolis Shipyard is taking contracts to build more Aircraft Carrier for Kinstantia's international friends. The price tag is 8 Billion Dollars per Carrier.

Trixia would like to place an order for two of your carriers. We will pay the full asking plus an additional 1/2 billion per ship to have them painted black to tie in with our current navy.

I eagerly await your reply.
