Alice bid farewell to her parents as she set off on her new adventure. A short-term study in Neo-Ixania. She was nervous a little, but excited. Either a 98% excited or a 2% scared. Or was it the other way around? 2% excited 98% scared? Either way she was here and she was ready.

Gustav Bergmann had recently returned from Bazalonia a happy and joyful man. As the former manager of diplomatic dealings with the Lamonians, Gustav did not mind taking the task of greeting Alice Per on this special and probably (going to be) eventful day. He was dressed in the best suit that he could find and was waiting with a chauffer and limosuine for the plane to land. When it did arrive, Gustav immediately found Alice and greeted her with the due respect and politeness she deserved. "Welcome to Ixania again, Miss Per. I am Gustav Bergmann but you can call me Gustav or Mr. Bergmann. Please follow me."

Getting into the limosuine, Gustav smiled as he talked to Alice. "You will be staying with my family for now until we get you into your boarding school. It will be an all girls school if you must know....but don't worry about boys. You will meet my son soon enough." Gustav laughed a little. "You would have met my daughter but she is in Lamoni now; a foreign exchange student just like you."

OOC: It does not have to be an all girls' school; I can always switch it to a mixed school.

(I'm fine with all Girls)

"Thank you, but you can call me Alice. It will be my first time in an all girls school though. Should be interesting. "

"I am sure you will manage yourself well, Alice. The school already knows of your impending arrival and many of the students are eager to meet you. It will be a boarding school...so you'll get a room and a person to share it with but I can be reached if you need anything."

Gustav smiled. "Feel free to look out the window and gaze at the buildings; you'll be able to explore Tzargrad soon enough. The school you will be sent to is a modest school and has many students including some from the aristocracy of Ixania. It is in the outskirts of the city but we should get there in time for your meeting with the Headmistress who will have you taken to your first class, which I believe will be Ixanian history or something. Don't worry about that class if you don't know anything about Ixanian history....that what books and computers are for." Gustav laughed before he smiled again. "You'll also get a uniform and a schedule and you need not worry about intolerance concerning your Mormon faith. In Ixania, most of us are tolerant people. In fact, I believe there is a Mormon chapel being built somewhere in this city; possibly in colloboration with your nation."

"That's very kind, and makes me feel better. It will be strange though, I'm coming from a majority Mormon state. But I can't wait to meet many diffrent people. And I'll even have a roommate. I share a room with my sisters but I've never shared with a schoolmate."

Gustav smiled. "In Ixania, if you do not know, Lutheranism and Ixanian Orthodoxy dominate the religious aspect of Ixanian life though many still cherish the Old Traditions, etc such as Ixanian mythology. Your roommate, I am sure, will be kind and generous towards you and you will meet many different people, Alice. Perhaps, sometime, you can meet my family but not my daughter....she's currently in a school in Lamoni; and her host is the Foreign Minister of Lamoni who, in my opinion, is a charming and professional woman."

Finally, after a while, the limosuine reached the gates of the all girls' school that Alice was to attend. "This is Greenwood Academy for Girls, Alice; named for the woods nearby. I'll escort you to the Headmistress. Follow me now." As Gustav led Alice into the school, they could see the students in the lobby fixing their eyes upon them; mostly staring at Alice as if she were a rare and precious jewel. "They are just curious, Alice. Do not worry."

They found the Headmistress' office and Gustav got Alice inside after a brief wait. The Headmistress was a young and beautiful woman who had the looks of a supermodel but the coldness of a stern officer from the Army but, when she saw Gustav, her face lit up in a smile before it grew upon seeing Alice. She smiled and introduced herself. "I am Headmistress Theodora Kardhes; but you may address me simply as Headmistress. You must be Alice Per. Welcome to Greenwood! Now, shall we begin our tour of the Academy?"

Walking into one of many hallways, Gustav trailed behind as the Headmistress put Alice ahead of her so she could see everything. "Greenwood is quite devoted to educating its students in all sorts of fields from music to art. We also have athletic classes here too and a variety of special classes such as psychology and religion; I believe an Orthodox priest will be coming to Greenwood this week to tell the class about the Church. You see, we may be at times irreligious but we all appreciate people. We may not believe in Christ but we can at least know about him enough to make an educated opinion about him."

Gustav smiled while he listened to Theodora. "Here is your schedule. Your first class will be a brief but vigorous class with an Ixanian language teacher; you'll be the only student in it. We feel you should learn the Ixanian language during your stay. Afterwards, you'll have classes such as World Studies and Physical Education; for which clothes have been provided for you. Any questions?"

"Then let us take you to the Ixanian Language Class. The tutor awaits your arrival. Do you have any knowledge of the language already though?"

"Yes sir, I will."

The headmistress giggled. "I'm a she, Miss Per."

After a while, Alice reached the room of her tutor, Mr. Lupin. He was a handsome middle aged man whose room was filled with all sorts of books and pictures. He smiled at Alice and offered her a seat at a desk nearby. "We'll be focusing on the basics for today, Miss Per. Consider it a review and then some."

"Oh my did I say sir? I did didn't I?! I'm such a ditz sometimes." Naturally she may have a slip of the toung she was a bit nervous being in a new place and all.
