The Monavian Empire Seeks New Diplomatic Relations

The State of Monavia
10-03-2008, 00:49
OUT OF CHARACTER (OOC):

Basically, the Monavian Empire has made contact with some nations since it began using the forums in September of 2007. So far, only about a dozen nations have made any contact with the Monavian Empire, and the leaders of the country are now itching for new first contacts.

IN CHARACTER (IC):

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION OF THE FOREIGN MINISTRY

OFFICE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

To all nations that have no contact with Monavia:

As has been made known to various governments, the Monavian Empire has established new diplomatic relations and connections in the recent past. During the past two months, there has been little in the way of attempts made by foreign nations to make contact with the Monavian Empire. It is with great regret that I am to inform the world that this lack of contact, espicially by our newly found neighbors, that the government of this Empire has incurred further expenditures by having to launch a new program for meeting representatives of other nations.

I therefore send out a humble request to foreign governments to meet with us in order to form new ties with the world.

Signed,

The Right Honorable Frank Carter, Minister of Foreign Affairs

The message was wired out on global communications networks, and was distributed along Internet sites to foreign nations and peoples.

Sir,

It would be an honour for me to meet with a representative of the Monavian Empire to discuss whatever matters you are interested in. The Holy Empire is always looking for potential trading partners and/or allies in this world of hardship.

In the Empire's service,

Marius Stee,
Minister of Foreign Affairs

Epsilon Halo would like to open diplomatic connections with your nation, possibly trade agreements and even embassies. Do not feel sorry that you have been passive in international connections. Most nations do not bother with diplomacy at all.

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION OF THE MONAVIAN EMPIRE
OFFICE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

To President David Cheyenne, President of Epsilon Halo,

I thank you on behalf of my government and especially the King and Queen. Your warm and inviting offer to from new ties is greatly appreciated. There are a few things that you should know about the Monavian Empire for future reference.

First, there is a program for exchanging embassies in Monavia. It is called the Monavian Embassy Department Exchange Program.

Second, if a meeting between you or a delegation of representatives with our government is requested, you are more than welcome to arrange the meeting with us.

Third, I personally find it sobering that many nations do not try diplomacy with others at all. That will probably explain why we have had only limited contact for a short period of time.

Fourth, if new ties are formed and formalized between our two countries, trade treaties and treaties of friendship will become a possibility. Later, with time, military alliances will also become available.

Once again, I am very grateful for your cooperation and goodwill.

Sincerely,

The Right Honorable Frank Carter, Minister of Foreign Affairs

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION OF THE MONAVIAN EMPIRE
OFFICE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

To Marius Stee, Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Holy Empire of Zaheran,
I most humbly thank you for your willingness to open up your doors to us. My superiors thank you warmly for your efforts in coming to present us with this opportunity. To further this relationship, there are several options.

You may send a representative or a delegation of the same to the Monavian Empire on a visit. You or your head of state may also accompany them.

After a visit, a treaty of friendship is recommended. The Monavian government would be most grateful if you went forward with such an avenue.

Whatever you choose to do, you are more than welcome to take part in this international experience.

As a final matter, I would like to say that if a visit by you or a delegation takes place, followed by a friendship treaty, you may also be allowed to exchange embassies with us.

Sincerely,

The Right Honorable Frank Carter, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Sir,

I thank you for your warm reception. Our government has taken a personal interest in your country, and the decision have been made to send a delegation to the most glorious Monavian Empire. Apart from my own humble person, nine senior officials will be present. Five of them will be from my own agency, three from the Ministry of Culture and one from the Ministry of Defence.

On your second issue, I have been authorized to sign a friendship treaty with the Monavian Empire if you would wish to do so.

Yours sincerely,

To the State of Monavia, greetings,

I speak on behalf of the Emperor on the purpose of basic diplomatic interests, and it would please Him for emissaries of our two nations to meet and discuss further diplomatic options. We are currently working on organizing an embassy exchange, and small scale joint-military training convention program. It would be our pleasure if you would participate when the time comes, as well as discussing any diplomatic matter of your choosing.

Please forgive us for lack of communication, were it not for the new Emperor's foreign relations plan, we would not be having foreign contacts at all.

Personally,

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION OF THE MONAVIAN EMPIRE
OFFICE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

To Marius Stee, Foreign Minister of Zaheran,

Once again, I do appreciate your offer to form new ties with the Monavian Empire. Your delegation will be welcome in the country, and will be greeted by the ranking leadership that rules this nation. The King, Queen, and myself will also be present. All traveling may be done to Chalcedon, the national capital.

Travel information will be faxed shortly, and will also be sent by electronic mail, whichever you prefer. If Zaheran is located far away, you will probably have to travel by ship to one of the coastal cities, then take a plane to the capital. Otherwise, you may fly directly to the capital.

On the issue of a friendship treaty, such a thing will be authorized at the completion of the visit. Once the exact terms have been agreed upon, the treaty willl be put through the Senate for a vote, and if it passes, it will be signed.

I look forward to the time when you may be able to visit this nation.

Sincerely,

The Right Honorable Frank Carter, Minister of Foreign Affairs

To Bishop Clarence Strovari of Northern Castesene,

I offer my most sincere thanks for your kind offer to open up your nation to our government. We have been recently seeking new diplomatic relations, and your offer has the admiration of many people in my department. There are a few things that you should know first.

First, there is an Embassy Exchange Program. It is called the Monavian Embassy Department Exchange Program.

Second, travel information shall be sent to you in regard to the sending of an emissary to our glorious nation. It will be sent by either electronic mail or by fax, you are entitled to choose whichever one you want. We can also mail it to you if we have an international postal address.

Third, should a visit by one of your emissaries take place, I will be able to draw up a friendship treaty, and you may have your Emperor sign it. If it clears a Senate vote, then it will also be signed by the King and Queen.

Finally, if you are wishing for a joint military exercise, all will be arranged in due time. For now, it is not able to be arranged.

Again, I offfer my most sincere wishes for a bright and glorious future.

To the Right Honorable Frank Carter, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Monovia;

We agree to accept information by electronic means for sending an emissary to your great nation. We will also consider applying to send an ambassador to office an embassy there. When I mentioned it, however, I meant that we were preparing our own means of accomidating visiting ambassadors. We understand a military exercise is a finite thing for a new diplomatic relationship, and for now we will match any paperwork and programs (emissary visits and the like) with the best equivalent of our own. We respectfully request, however that this interaction take place before or after the month of April, the month of a religious holiday.
