OFFICIAL DECLARATORY ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE IMPERIAL FEDERATION OF THE MONAVIAN EMPIRE

ABOUT MONAVIA:
The Imperial Federation of the Monavian Empire is a newer nation to NationStates, being founded in July of 2006. Since then, it has played no part in international politics or used a forum. After finally being able to establish forum use, Monavia is about to become a part of this forum and use it. I, the player behind this nation, and who controls it, am very pleased to discover the wonderful world of NationStates, and to use this forum.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL FACT BOOK:
As many players may know, nations create fact books to list and compile data and information about their nations. Monavia is no exception. The fact book of the Monavian Empire contains various types of information about my nation, as well as things for other nations to use as a reference guide. It should be understood that this fact book contains current data, as of 2007, and will be revised once every year. The next revision of the fact book will be next year.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL CONSTITUTION:
The Imperial Federation of the Monavian Empire has its own constitution, and its own laws. The constitution is the framework of my nation’s laws, and I use it as a guide for planning forum-related actions. The national constitution is more than just a personal reference guide, it also can be used a guidebook for other nations and their controlling players to understanding my nation and its laws. My nation’s constitution has its own history, which can be read at any time as of a later date.
ABOUT NATIONAL POLITICS IN MONAVIA:
In my nation, I have my own complete political system, the basic plan of which I have laid out in my national constitution. My nation also has its own political history, which is to be determined for the present. My nation’s basic political data can be found in my national fact book, as well as in other sources, such as my national constitution.
ABOUT ECONOMIC INFORMATION:
My nation has its own distinct economy, and it also has its own economic system. My economic system and rules for the same are found in my national constitution, as well as my fact book. My economy runs like any other economy on NationStates in the regard that it is totally up to me as the player to decide how it is run, however it has been made to function in a realistic manner, and does attribute its design and workings to modern real-life economies. All nations are free to look up economic information in my fact book.

The Monavian military exists as a part of the Monavian Empire, and it is an important part of the nation’s sphere of influence. It is currently on peacetime standing as of the time that this announcement is written and posted, and it has much potential power. My nation’s military information is located in my fact book, and also my expenditures and government spending and budget concerning the same may also be found there.
ABOUT ROLE-PLAY AND IN-CHARACTER ACTIONS:
Despite a current lack of role-play experience and experience relating to forum use, I do have knowledge about how to use a forum and how to role-play. I hold myself to strict standards of decorum and behavior, and I do not engage in vulgar or slanderous behavior. I expect all nations who wish to role-play with me or talk with me via the forum to hold themselves to some standard of respect and good will. That standard is totally up to them to choose.
I respect all other nations and their decisions to do whatever they are entitled to do. I wish for a friendly time and relationship with forum users in regard to their in-character actions.
ABOUT THE NAMING ISSUE:
Due to issues that have arisen at the beginning of my time playing the game, I had an issue with naming my nation. Out-of-character, my nation may be referred to as “the State of Monavia”. In-character and on the forums, my formal nation name, for role-play purposes is “the Imperial Federation of the Monavian Empire”.
IN-CHARACTER PORTION:
JOINT DECLARATION BY PARLIAMENT AND THE MONAVIAN IMPERIAL MONARCHY
The government of the Imperial Federation of the Monavian Empire wishes to establish contact in any and all forms with foreign nations. By a joint declaration by Parliament and the King and Queen, the government and citizens of the Monavian Empire have expressed a desire in recent times to meet with and establish formal contact and relations with foreign nations. The government and people of this nation have decided that after some deliberation, that the establishment of contact and relations with other nations shall be a part of this nation’s new agenda for the future.
Because of the various challenges raised by attempting to find contact with other nations, a web site was created and placed on the global Internet to show other nations this nation and its people. We the people and government officials of the Monavian Empire do by these presents wish that foreign nations will send us their contact and information so that international relations may be established. It is therefore decided that this nation will send this message to all nations of the world for their examination and judgment. They may choose how they wish to think of this, and act upon it.
It is therefore decided by this joint declaration and resolution that a diplomatic contact message shall be sent out to all nations so that they may know of us and contact us.
