After the deletion of the Rai project, there was a massive dip in the number of "political deaths". The explosion in the capital had been attributed to a meteorite strike, and the strange occurances "hallucinations."

6 months later...


The rain continued falling, as it had done for most of the week. While the water posed no problem in most of the country, it had left its mark here, in one of the 1953 flat developments.
Amongst the empty monoliths, fenced in by signs of "For Sale", a fire flickered in the shelter of a hollowed-out concrete tower. A piece of meat was rotating on a spit over it. Behind it sat a man in a torn jumpsuit. His head had a massive scar still, where he had ripped out the tracking computer, and his body was covered in scars from his reverse-modification.
Rai - 2 was still alive, and still looking for revenge. His reverse-engineering had left him a scarred outcast, and the gun he still carried had long since run out of ammunition.
The rest of the butchered meat lay behind him, along with the posessions of the man he had killed for food. His wallet had been a find: a wad of Æ100 notes, enough to buy him ammunition from the man he knew.
He heard another echoing voice in his head, and removed it at once. He still had hallucinations that a girl was talking to him. It must have been the drugs used by the black-market gene therapist to sedate him while he had his genome modified back to that of his original humanity, at the cost of losing his enhanced eyesight and stability.
His strength and speed still remained though...

OOC: how the hell did rai-2 survive??? I thought he came back after the mission

Anita Manuel was in hiding, which when you can control peoples minds is pretty easy. She had found a younger couple, poor and alone, and convinced them that she was an orphan they had adopted. The wife stayed at home with Anita and the father worked at some plant around the area. While he didnt make enough to live off of they always seemed to have enough food. ALmost as if their new daughter was a blessing sent from heaven. After all when you can asked for anything and have it handed to you it was easy to get food and supplies for you family.


She didn't care that the world was chaos or hell bent, she had a family, and thats all she wanted.

OOC: It will be explained...
IC:Rai 2 got up after eating, and with the wallet in his hand walked out through the streets, sticking to the shadows and the areas not watched by the CCTV and 3DSI networks.
He approached another of the old developments, and entered a nearly-collapsed utilites building. Here, a large fire burnt, illuminating the graffiti covered interior. 8 men were standing around the fire talking, all holding assault rifles of varying sorts.

"Ahh.. Comrade! We almost shot you! Please be more polite next time."
"I have the payment." replied Rai-2, in a harsh, guttural tone.
"Good. Lets see it."

Rai - 2 pulled out the money, and passed it over to be counted.

"It's all there. Now, the ammunition?"

The man pushed the money into his trouser pockets, and went over to a dented safe. He turned the key, which still had part of the original owner's fingers on it, and pulled out from the safe a plain black box, filled with 20
.55 "special" rounds.

"These were very hard to get hold of. Especially with your 'hiding' status."

"If you're going to convince the ministry the body they found was not mine, then forget it."

"What are you gonna do then?"

The men around him raised their guns.
A minute later, all lay around the inside of the building, in varying states of unconsciousness. The safe had been emptied of the money, the other types of ammunition untouched.

The minister of Secrets was looking down his list of "things to do".

"Officer A3, what happened to the Rai project again?"

"It was dismantled as usual. The bodies were burned, except with Rai-1."

"What happened to Rai 2?"

"They traced him by his tracker and found him dead in Il'Vi."

"How did they know it was him?"

"A standard skin sample from his neck."

"Good. What is replacing the Rai Project? We need some form of "super assasin."."

"I do believe the best course of action was decided in the last meeting. Robotic nano-assasions."

"Alright then. It sounds farfetched, like the melon cannon, but..."

"Yes sir. We know how the Melon cannon went."

OOC: what kind of names do your people have, anything unusual, im trying to build charaters for her family

(OOC: They are usually compound surnames, with some english forenames e.g. Lea Deo'dai, Arran Fi'nora)

A small man by the name of AJ Ramero entered the Alfegos Ministry of secrets, he was no spy. Actually quite the opposite, more like a bureaucrat who worked for the MBSA, and while they believed that Anita was dead, they needed evidence. For she was very powerful, beyond anything they could imagine, and possibly free out there somewhere. No doubt this was a security risk for both Mokastana and ALfegos, mainly Alfegos due to the fact that she was there. With him he had a briefcase, inside was information that was labled, BLACK. Something that meant it did not exist. Normally this would of never left the MBSA, even if it was just 16 pages of random dots, but they were sure that withe the code that Mokastana would provide later it would reveal everything that the Alfegos Government would need to know on how they planned to ensure that she was really dead.

The Ministry of Secrets

They hadn't stopped the Mokastanan, as he had already been given clearance. The Minister wanted to see him.

He was led down to the office of the minister. Inside its ebony panneled interior, the minister sat behind a desk, his computer making no noise as it processed thousands of secrets.

"So, you are here about "The Project"? We are sure the Rai project is terminated. However, we are not sure on that girl. Do take a seat."



The Financial District

Keeping to the shadows, and to the blind spots of the 3DID network, Rai 2 made his way back towards the governmental district. This time, he knew his mark.

He held the massive rifle that he used in his hands,the rounds loaded. He had been in luck to find the rounds were AP: he would kill the mark whatever armour he was wearing, short of a heavy tank.

He finally arrived at the old city walls, and climbed up the ancient mud surface. At the top, he found a good position away from any tourists fancying a nightime walk, and aimed towards the Capitol Square.

He waited.

Mr. Ramero entered the office, immedently he pulled out his blackberry and sent a coded message back to MBSA HQ, somewhere in the Ministry in Alfegos the message had been confimed that Mr. Ramero had indeed arrived and a confirmation message had been sent to MBSA HQ. This confirmed that Mr. Ramero was alive, and that the Aflegos government did indeed have him...
Ten minutes later a two bit-torrents were sent to the ministry of secrets, already Ramero had booted up his laptop and was ready to recieve them. Using his laptops software he combined the two torrent to reveal the code, which after using a scanner to scan the 16 pages, were soon translated into a 10 page document about the first three betas. Only one was to be sent, codename Jack.
Jack was loyal to the Mokastana, unlike Anita, and had the ability to not only read minds but to absorb there ability. For example, after talking with a master of Hapkido for a few minutes he could stand against him toe to toe. OF course this involved a lot of physical training, but after meeting with generals, sharpshooters, karate experts, and professional thieves, he was the perfect assassin.

"So, this subject... how long will t take him to get here to confirm this girl's whereabouts? We do not want to risk another catastrophe.
By the way, next time you come in here, don't be surprised if there is no signal: the EMP shielding will be entirely finished by then."

Atop the Red Wall
The Government Quarter

Rai-3 slid the oiled bolt back, and inserted a .55 cartrige, before slamming the bolt home. He looked through the sights at the Senate building, an organic shape in the distance. He quickly changed the batteries when he found the night vision wasn't working, and peered through the 12x scope.
Noone was out of the building to the side, where he knew the Ministry of Secrets was. When someone did leave...
He tightened his grip on the trigger.

"we were surprised it made it in so easily in the first place. Now we know you want to aviod another incident like that, however the betas are are mature adults. All volunteered to have their brain worked on, none have any one important that they would of missed. This one Jack, interesting story, his ability to absorb abilities was a mistake. Were pretty much grade schoolers playing with super computers here. With Jack we simply figured out how to copy and paste from one mind to the next. The first file sharing of the mind if you will. Mind control we are no where near perfecting, but the betas are resistant to it. Anita would try to control them to get them to do things for her, some like jack manged to fight her and keep her out. That is why we are sending him, he is loyal and can keep her out of his mind"

"Alright then: have him flown up to are 9 at Liberty airport: use one of the military runways. That should be helpful. Do you want me to see you out?"

"Sure, let us go"

He deleted the file from the laptop and then placed it back in the case, which had a panic button on the side that in case of an emergency would use powerful magnetic energy to wipe it clean, just in case, the panic button was really more of a wrist band that was part of the handcuff, checking Ramero's pules every three seconds

They took the elevator out to the top floor, then passed out into the Senate Square.

"It's a nice night tonight."

Rai - 2 saw the two men leave the building, and aimed for the head of one of the men. He flicked the safety off, and calmed himself down, ready for the single shot that would mark the start of his revenge.

SO how did the the Rai project turn out anyways?"

not like it mattered, truth be told he probably wouldnt live to make it home to tell anyways

"It went according to plan until, well...Rai-3 had an unstable mind from the conditioning, as Rai-2 turned out to: from what we found of his body, he had shot himself in the head with a pistol.

Rai-1 is still in the Project 9 Temporal stasis lab, until further notice.

So, what role do you play in the...shit!"

A bullet smashed into the pavement by him, and they dived into cover, the minister pressing the emergancy call on his wristwatch.

Inside the ministry, 4 armed squads were rushing upwards to secure the area, while a couple of helicopters carrying ISF squads were on the arrival to secure the governmental quarter.

Rai-2 was not pleased. A sudden gust of wind had knocked the bullet off course, coupled with his increasingly unstable aim. He quickly recocked the rifle, another round loading into the breech, and aimed again at their hiding place, ready for them to make a dash.

The bullet exploded on the concrete as Ramero dived behind a hedge row, knowing full well it wasn't a good block, so he dove for a small concrete wall next to the walkway, hoping a bullet wouldnt find him before he got behind it....


"SHIT SHIT Shit "

he was bureaucrat, a desk spook, field battle was not his fortay

A squad of soldiers ran over to where the minister and the foreigner had dived for cover, all the time observing the area thorugh night-vision goggles for the attacker. Another bullet flew into the conrete wall and stopped, slowed down by a soldier in front. A medic was tending to him as the helicopters flew in, illuminating the area indicated from where the bullets had come.

They saw the man with the sniper rifle, and let fire with miniguns. But they were too late: he had already gone, with the only evidence he had been there the video feed from one of the helicopters.

A medic checked out the two men as they took away the body of the soldier who had been killed instantly by the lethal round. The minister was still shocked, and was covered in blood from the dead man.

"I have a dreadful feeling as to who that was..."

"SHit shit shit what the hell was that?"

Ramero's suit was now covered in dirt and grass...he looked down and thought, damn i hope no one sees my pants

The medics assessed them, then quickly cordoned off the area, while the scirbes in the Ministry of Information wrote up an explanation as to what had occured.

The minister led the man back inside the ministry quickly, and took him down to his private quarters.

"Do you wish for a shower and change of clothes?"

The minister had noticed.

"Don't worry. I understand. Your luggage will be brought here shortly, and if you don't have a change of clothes, I can provide.
Afterwards, I have called an emergancy Star Chamber meeting. It seems that Rai-2 is on the loose again."

Ramero was as annoyed as he was uncomfortable...

"Yeah a shower would be nice, i was suppose to be getting on a flight back home now...damn it..."

In all reality Ramero was a messenger boy, nothing else.

"i need to call HQ and tell them what has happened. Do you have a phone or preferably an encrypted way to contact them?"
