Economy
The Shakal economy is based mainly on agriculture with the new industries slowly taking over since the rise of Vladmir Corpelstein and his becoming Dictator. The Empire has been noted for its modern weapons designs such as the Bn-IV Fighter. Due to the increase in military wares being created the economy is slowly rising to the level of the european powers.
The industries are mainly located in the mountainous central area of Anatolia. Oil production is centered in Syria. Bulgaria holds the countries northern industries.
Government Info
The governemt is a set dictatorship and is ruled with the help of the military. Corpelstein makes sure that the people arent mistreated and there is no real difference between this government and the Turkish republic that existed before beside the fact that people cant vote for a country leader.The citizens of all ethnic diversties are treated equally in almost every single respect. Citizens can vote for mayors and even local representitives allowing them a small say in the government but it rarly disagree's with Vladmir. In those rare cases the representitives dissappered mysteriously without anyone noticing.

Beginnings
In 1920 a group of Turks became distasteful of how the country was being run. They began to oppose the government at every angle. Eventually the governemt grew annoyed and in 1922 sent troops to kill the leaders.In October of 1923 the small conflict was brought to a close with the death of Denby Shardlow leader of the Turks that now called themselves the Shakal.
Rise & Current State
After that they began to hide in the shadows. Their chance came in 1930. The other countries in Europe were distracted by the economic crisis and the poeple wanted a better leader. On July 1st the Turks voted in Vladmir Corpelstein. He immediatly set himself up as dictator and began to work on healing the economy. By 1933 he had repaired it to a fairly healthy state. Later that year Syria rebelled against the French and asked for his support. He sent 50 000 troops to protect the people effectivly putting the country under Shakal Control. Bulgaria felt threatend by the growing power of others in the Balkans and decided that a mutual union would be the best idea. On March 23rd 1934 Bulgaria signed itself into the Shakal Empire. From then on it slowly became more and more a one sided union with the Shakal slowly taking over all of Bulgaria's government. This isnt quite complete, but to anyone in the Empire it is clear. The Bulgarian's although recieve the same privliges as any Shakal citizen.
