Yes, this has been tried several times before, but now I hope to ressurect this idea. Here is the drill, pick your country (or invent one), create a factbook for it, and rp as if you really are in control of that country. This time, there is no time line to follow, just think of your countries history and rp from there. If you have a desire to create a new country, be sure to keep it as realistic as possible (A union between Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya won't turn that place into the world's next superpower).
Gameplay:
I am the All-Powerful Overseer, and I will determine if something is possible or if its godmodding
No godmodding, and call godmodders on the ooc thread
Everyone must respect other players and their political ideas, IC actions, or anything else that may arise. There shall be no arguing over them on the main thread (Though it could be settled through war, but it depends on the boundries).
Leave political arguments on the OOC thread, I don't want to see it on any of the other threads.
Overall, don't be stupid, you should know the things that will get you kicked out, so just don't do them.
Be sure to make a factbook for your country. It's not possible to rp a country that doesn't have information about itself.

do you think I can make a sort of Central Asian Khanates comprised of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikstan, (and if you allow it) Krygystan(or Krygyzia, depending on your preferences)? It could be done since for hundreds of years the Khans of the Central Asian plains were united under a single empire.

It's possible for you to do, but don't go conquering Russia, China or any other major power nearby. It would be serious godmodding since most of those countries you speak of are third world countries who can barely keep themselves together.

Sure thing, but make sure its a possible choice. I doubt Montana or Oregon would have the power or even the popular support to secceed from the Union.

It's possible for you to claim. You'll also have a sepratist state to deal with, it could really cause interesting results.

If you ask me, I think HoD and Florida Oranges need to talk about this whole "seceding from the union" thing with each other first.
I might as well take Taiwan, lovely little island. Maybe we'll do something controversial like... shoot a chinese fisherman or something.

Yah I know, I wasnt planning on fighting the Chinamen or Russians since the Khanates goal is to have a United, more stable group of peoples than what they had already.
